Stay away from the breakfast buffet. Almost entirely inedible. Eggs were salted like they were hiding something. Sausage tasted like melted plastic. $22 a person. read more

The food was okay but I would like to complain about one particular server. Unfortunately, I was not able to get the name but she is the tall blond female with a very very thick European accent. When it came to paying the bill, it was not appreciated that she literally hovered around you while you paid and when the tip was not into her liking, her demeanour changed. She was condescending and irritable. It was not appreciated that she made it appear that we owed her for serving us and it was not necessary to state "You're in Canada, you should know better" We are seasoned travellers and have travelled far beyond Canada and although tipping is encouraged, it should not be shoved into the faces especially on tourists. Her "attentiveness" and "smiles" were only after a huge tip. Immediately her whole persona changed when it was not to her liking. The restaurant should properly train and maybe hire "True" Canadians after all in her own words "You're in Canada, you should know better" read more

We were so surprised that this unassuming place had great food. The first night I had the Parpadelle with beef and my friend had the lamb shank. We were impressed at how delicious our meals were. They gave generous portions so I was able to take half the pasta back to the hotel and had it the next day. The staff were great too. read more

Came here based on the good reviews and it was pretty good. The ambience is nothing special, bit nice. It is a best Western hotel restaurant after all. I ordered the brisket sandwich and upgraded my fries to poutine. It was actually quite good. My daughter ordered a burger and my wife got the spinach salad. Nothing was spectacular, but it was okay. Our waitress was nice and when we had a problem with the ribs we ordered, they took it right back and didn't charge us. We wanted something close to our hotel and this fit the bill. read more

Breakfast was terrible. Eggs were cold, not worth the money spent. Many more restaurants in the area to choose from. The staff was very pleasant. read more

I I ordered my steak meal for take out, I waited one hour for my meal. I asked the manager why it took so long, she said 19 people showed up so my order was pushed back. Poor customer service, I'm working in Jasper for the next 8 months, and will not be back. read more

Who would have ever thought that one of the most highly rated restaurants in Jasper, is at the Best Western Hotel. I thought people had lost their minds..... Until we tried it for ourselves. We left our hotel to go to the Inn Grill at the BW. We were determined to get a good meal for a fair price. Our expectations were exceeded. The chicken cob salad was enough for two. Fresh shredded chicken, black olives, avocado, boiled eggs and blue cheese mixed with crispy romaine lettuce. And it wasn't swimming salad dressing. We ate every single bit of it. If they have the $25 prime rib special you are in luck. Slightly fatty, but really tender. Came with small bits of vegetables and your choice of potatoes. The Yorkshire pudding was a perfect accompaniment to wipe that plate clean. After all that, we made room for dessert. Chocolate raspberry Creme brulee made just right with crispy top. The strawberry cheesecake with fresh fruit on the side. I would be remiss if I didn't tell you the service was outstanding. That twig of a girl handled the whole patio like a champion. High 5 to her! Seems like the perfect meal can come from where you least expect it. Be open to it when it does. read more

HAVE AGAIN: Outstanding service, really, really good service. Food was very good and just right.

We came here two nights in a row since it was right next to our hotel. This restaurant is located next to the hotel pool so if you sit in the dining room you can see people swimming through the window. Our server was very nice and we did not have to wait very long for the food. The menu was pretty limited for a restaurant that looked so nice but had a good variety of food. Overall it is very clean and comfortable but we would not have come here if it had not been downstairs from our rooms. Also don't forget to use the 15% off coupon the hotel gives you when you check in. read more

Restaurant located in the Best Western hotel, and if you're a guest, I think you can order straight to room. Food was OK - I recommend the beef brisket main. The beef was great, very tender, although the rest of the dish was so-so. Two measly sticks of carrot for the "side", and I had asked for rice but got chips instead. For $25 it was not good value though. read more

This little gem is tucked behind the hotel and just steps from the Chateau! I wish I had checked it out sooner! Didn't want pizza so took a chance - came to pick up - saw the $2 a shuck oysters and thought I was in heaven! Definitely worth a visit the bar has mice seating and the dining room is quaint with an atrium feel. Prices are very fair! You gotta eat here! read more

The Inn Grill - Great weekly specials - check out Friday and Saturday! Great service - warm and friendly tucked in behind the hotel. Fair prices nice place - American Near Me - Jasper, Alberta

We had nice dinner there but I felt very angry about the breakfast customer service there, there were three waitresses only one with smile. The worst is the manager come to say " messy, messy, always messy" after we did the payment and 15%tips, we even didn't understand what's wrong. Why no comment before payment? (We had three kids with us)Because of lack time, I didn't have time to argue with her, but I feel very angry about this. I strongly don't recommend this restaurant for my friends. read more

The service and the chefs are second to none. I dined here alone and was attended to with the upmost punctuality and kindness. I had the crab cakes followed with their chicken picatta. The picatta's wine sauce was superb. Mikey, Derrick and Enesto in the kitchen deserve rave reviews. Dine here and I am sure these gentlemen will not disappoint. 5 star rating. On a side note I heard the pizza is a must try. I will be back. read more

My family and I are on day 4 of our Banff/Jasper trip and our meal at the Inn Grill was definitely the best one so far. We got the prime rib, salmon, and beef and mushroom pasta, and they were all really good. Portions are generous too; we are stuffed to the brim and very satisfied. Prices range from the teens to thirties which isn't cheap but seems to be standard for these touristy areas. The restaurant is well decorated, spacious, and well lit, and they have a beautiful outdoor patio area as well. Overall will definitely come back if not during this trip then next time I visit Jasper! read more

After I read all the earlier reviews I already was thrilled. And indeed the food is excellent! I had home made meatloaf of bison and elk. My wife had Steak Poutine with goat chees. Both were great. And the service was very good. We will return. Hans and Jenny from the Netherlands read more

A true surprise! We ate here twice, both times it was excellent. I have smoked ribs for almost 30 years, these were as good or better than mine! The steak was exquisite - perfect medium rare, tender flavorful. The BBQ sauce did not overwhelm the meat flavors but complimented the total experience. Our waitress handle our rather large party of 15 effortlessly! And to the front crew - so sorry we drove you crazy but as I bragged about the food, more friends added to our party! All our friends loved their meal which is truest rare! Thank you for a delightful dining experience! read more

Had dinner here on the fly last night. Wanted to watch the hockey game and still eat a good meal. The service was outstanding. The food matched the service. We both started with ceasar salads, very good. Plate and spoon were even chilled. My wife had the bbq sandwich and I had fish and chicks. Both were very good, hot and large portions. Would recommend the off the path restaurant to all. read more

I was quite eager to try this restaurant with my family, however when we arrived we were greeted by the rudest hostess I have ever encountered. There were several empty tables available and I can understand if there were reservations claiming them - this may have been the case. The way we were turned away was rude, curt, and very dismissive. read more

Very poor buffet served in the morning at cost of $16.00. Automatically added 15% for service in bill. They removed 15% right after I complained to a waitress. With that quality, I will never eat there again with thst cost. read more

I found this restaurant since I was staying at Best Western. I was not quite sure what to expect but decided to try it out and was pleasantly surprised. I had the Compose salad pictured below and a bison Burger with Caesar salad. I also enjoyed an organic lager beer. Annie our server was great as well. My only suggestion is to freshen up the coustini (cheese bread served with Caesar). It seemed stale to me which was out of line given the quality of the other items. read more

This is for the breakfast "buffet" service. I'm on a family vacation currently visiting the various national parks here in Canada. Yesterday was our first night here in Jasper and am staying at the Best Western right next to this restaurant. I give this review with the full understanding that morning service is busy and that dealing with tourists is not the most fun. Nonetheless, if you work in hospitality, your job is to show hospitality in your service. Other than the overall slow service, the biggest problem was when I asked for a to-go coffee cup. The server (I don't want to mention her full name but it starts with an "O") had such a bad attitude over it. She turned around and literally stormed to the kitchen before I could finish my sentence; I actually needed two to-go cups as my father in law wanted one too. Had she waited the extra two seconds for me to finish my sentence she wouldn't have had to go twice. She came back with two empty cups and looked even more annoyed when I asked for coffee. She was so aggressive when pouring the coffee, sticking the entire spout in the cup and just pouring really fast and hard. Obviously really annoyed... My mother in law finally said, "you are so kind" to see if she would be any nicer but in a super exasperated tone she goes, "Could I help you with ANYTHING ELSE???" Dude lady... With that attitude I would be too scared to ask for anything else. I think the management has to train their staff to actually be more hospitable and to manage their stress level. I would probably just go to a different nearby restaurant. read more

This is the second time we have been here but this time we had stake instead of lamb, let me say it was well worth it the prime rib was soft, melt in your mouth soft, my girl had the rib eye we were both satisfied,we had gone to another local restaurant a few Weeks back, and had stake prime cuts we paid almost $200 for the meal and let me just say I could have done better at home! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Jasper the chef knows what he is doing the meat was very flavorful, and I am from Barbados I know about flavorful food, read more

Last minute decision to head out for dinner, restaurant was busy but staff made an effort to fit me in. The menu has a fairly good selection for both the hungry and the light eater they feature a daily special as well as have a vegetarian option including pizza's. My meal this evening was the baby back pork ribs with a side salad. The main course comes with seasonal vegetables and your choice of potato, fries or rice. The ribs were tender and fell off the bone and had a nice bbq sauce that wasn't too heavy or sweet, the side salad garden greens was nicely presented and had a light dressing. Overall a nice meal in a nice restaurant without being overbearing. read more

This is by far the best, and I sincerely say this, THE BEST. The food here is consistently great. The flavours are fantastic and so is the selection of the food in the menu. I've basically tried all the food in the menu in this place and I must say that, I liked pretty much 90% that I've tried. It's sort of a problem as I now find it difficult for me to decide what to get when I eat. ---- My recommendations and favourites: + MEZZE DIP (Babaganoush, hummus, medley of pickled veggies and olives, served with pita)... Delicious vegetarian app! + TACO POLLO (It's not even a taco, it's more like a taquito, but it's great y'all! The salsa and the corn giddy-up that comes along with it is so awesome! Definitely is a good counterbalance for the yummy fattyness of the "taco) + NASTY HABIT BURGER (Don't even get me started with this. I drool every time I think about this burger. It's literally covered in the bbq sauce that I am sure they make themselves, the patty is amazing and so is the cheese and toppings they put...... I must say that you probably need a bib to eat this, but its GREAT!) + THE PIZZAS... and all of them (Stuffed crust though, seriously. Enough said. BEST PIZZAS IN TOWN, sorry other pizza places.... y'all are just not as good) + Salmon Pistachio (it's literally a piece of salmon encrusted in pistachio... and some other yummy stuff like capers etc......... EAT WITH RICE...) + BISON MEATLOAF (it's another one of those that makes me drool when I think about it... the lean bison is enriched by ...I think its goats cheese.. and bacon... okay okay okay... I want this now) ---- Hotel restaurants in general usually have a bad stigma as most of them are pretty below pedestrian..... it's a very common thing in this town too. I used to just walk by this place all the time, but holy, once I ate here... I don't wanna go somewhere else. Saturdays is Prime Rib special by the way, even that..... Holy! Just go. Please go. You'll understand why. read more

Nice little surprise outside of town. Solid food choices and great service. Wife's haddock was fabulous.

We had supper here and it was fantastic! I had the full rack of ribs, my wife had the salmon, and my kids had the mac n cheese and a pizza. Everything was done to perfection and very flavourful. The service was great and attentive and the atmosphere is family friendly but still classy. Highly recommended. read more

My family enjoyed the breakfast buffet. A great variety of food was available- pancakes, oatmeal with a variety of toppings, crisp bacon, scrambled or boiled eggs, sausage, a variety of yogurts, assortment of fruit, toast & orange or apple juice. The staff were friendly and very attentive and kept our coffee cups full. I thought the buffet was reasonably priced and I highly recommend! read more

Very good food! The meat loaf, the surf and turf and the greek salad were perfect. They have cheese stuffed crust pizza!!!! The serving staff is friendly and very competent. We will go again. read more

We decided to eat dinner here since we were staying at the hotel, so it was easy to get to, especially with kids. It's a really nice restaurant when you get inside, so we were worried that maybe it wasn't kid friendly, but it definitely is. It's a small menu, but it was still difficult to make a decision because everything looked so good! My husband had a stuffed crust pizza, which he loved, although he said it was a bit salty. I had the fish and chips, which was really good. It was a different take on it, with the fish being served on a skewer, like a kabob, and it came with Cajun fries, which were a nice change. They have a good selection of beer, and the price is reasonable (for Jasper). read more

Came here after a long drive from Banff. I tried my husband's composed salad and the dried olives were so good. The bison burger was nice and the cesar salad was also nice. Diverse menu with good ingredients. If I was a local, I would come back and try most the menu. read more

Breakfast just ok. If you use a coupon, might suffice if you just want to fuel up. Service good.

After checking 4 other hotels we checked in at the Best Western since it was the cheapest! For our money we got an actual studio apartment! It was great. Since it was late we didn't feel like driving around for a place to eat so read the reviews and decided to try the Inn. No 1/2 off happy hour and No discount for staying at the hotel, BUT is it was very good food! I had the Balboa and it was probably one of the best sandwiches I have had in a long time. My husband (vegetarian) had the vegeburger. He commented to the waitress that it was one of the best he has had and liked having the sprouts. She said one of the chefs if Vegetarian so that may have added to it. All around it was a nice setting and good food! And an easy walk back to our apartment!! read more

Wow...ate here last night and again tonight. Ate at the bar last night and started with steak frites (truffle fries, sliced steak, sauce and mushrooms)....for an appetiser. Sirloin for me and prawn salad for the boss for main course was outstanding. Tonight was prime rib night and was equally as good. Wife had poached salmon with lemon butter. Amazing, accompanied by coconut jasmine rice. My prime rib was great...no bone, but still excellent. If you live in Jasper or are traveling thru, stop and enjoy. Jimbogoblue read more

Great food, Outstanding service, and they managed to take care of our huge party of nearly 20!

Stayed here for a get away from Edmonton for a weekend. It was easy to find since we had to walk from the train. We went during the off season so not a lot was open in town or in the hotel but its was a very pleasant stay. read more
