I had seen a lot of great reviews for this place, so I was excited to try Ranchers Sports Bar &…read moreGrill -- but unfortunately, it ended up being a little underwhelming. On the positive side, the staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the decor definitely delivered on the "ranch" vibe. The old-style wooden chairs and overall atmosphere gave it a cozy, rustic feel that I really liked. The food, however, was a bit hit or miss. We ordered the chicken strips, which honestly felt a little disappointing. They were cooked properly, but the chicken itself had an odd taste that threw me off. I had onion rings on the side -- they were good, but nothing particularly memorable. We also ordered two 1-lb orders of wings (hot honey and salt & pepper), and these were definitely the highlight of the meal. The wings were cooked really well, juicy without being dry, and both flavours were delicious. Overall, great service and atmosphere, but the food quality felt inconsistent. I'd come back for the wings, but probably skip the chicken strips next time. They also have a 7.99$ for 1LB of wings, which was definitely a bonus.

Great spot for classic pub food. My partner and I came here twice while we were in Hinton for work…read moreand both times we were very pleased. Reasonable prices for the potions and quality of the food and the service is pretty decent. The first time we went in our bartender/ server was great, wasn't super busy so we chatted a little bit and she gave us recommendations and was very quick to put our food in and get our drinks. The second time a different bartender/ server was not as good. It was less busy than the first time but she would go to the kitchen (which we can see from the bar) and be talking and laughing and we would have to waive her down a few times. But the food was great! Highly recommend the peirogies, they are crispy and have lots of filling and don't seem to be frozen ones from the grocery store they seem home made!

They were so good, we got another platter of wings x2 and fries to go. The tables are set far apart and our server wore a mask. The VLTs were divided by spit guards. I'm going to have that giant burger next time I'm through Hinton.

Despite being busy, the wait for food wasn't bad at all, and the café had plenty of staff who were all very friendly and welcoming. We ordered their famous carrot cake, a hot chocolate, coffee, and two everything bagels with cream cheese, which came to $29.80 -- pretty reasonable for a café stop. The food itself was good and satisfying, even if not something I'd necessarily write home about. I'd be really interested in coming back to try their sandwiches next time when we have more time to stay. The atmosphere is cozy and a little cluttered in a charming way, with lots of things to look at that give the space personality. Overall, a nice spot for a casual coffee break or quick bite while in Hinton!

The egg was really dry. Kind of like it was frozen and then microwaved. My husband got a bagel with cream cheese for $5.75. It was mediocre at best. Would have rather gone to Tim Hortons. The pumpkin muffin was good but overall not happy with the misleading advertising and overpriced low quality food.

Very mild tasting burger with the fixings. Loved the length and thinness of Poutine fries; however, wish it was more crispy to handle the brown gravy saturation. I had to consume them quickly. We recently visited Rojo Marrón and had a really great experience overall!…read more We ordered the fish tacos, beef street tacos, and the "Espropapa" (definitely not spelling that right ). The Espropapa was honestly a standout -- absolutely delicious. The chipotle dip that came with it was AMAZING, and the presentation was a 10/10. The potato was sliced into a spiral and served on a stick, which made it both fun and visually impressive. The fish tacos were also excellent. They were cooked perfectly, full of flavour, and topped with fresh vegetables. The chipotle mayo sauce paired with them was sooo good and really brought everything together. The beef street tacos were still very good and not dry at all, but compared to the other dishes they were slightly underwhelming. Still enjoyable, just overshadowed by how strong the other items were. Service was great -- our server was friendly, loved to chat, and checked in on us regularly without being overbearing. They even brought out a bucket of different sauces labeled with spice levels, which was a fun touch and let us customize the heat. The decor was very Mexican-themed and added a lot of character to the space. The tables looked a bit worn, but honestly it added to the overall style and vibe rather than taking away from it. Overall, a really enjoyable meal with great flavours, fun presentation, and welcoming service. Definitely worth a visit!
