We made a stop here before checking into our hotel! It was a great find, family operated and a really cute place! The staff were very helpful in helping us picking our sandwiches! It was made to order and very fresh!

Turkey wrap. It was healthy and delicious.

Another nice find of an independent café in a small community. This café is located just off the Yellowhead Highway. In fact you can see the highway from the café's windows. If you have a trailer or other large vehicle you might find a place to park but not on a side street. Hinton has no actual main street or downtown but rather is designed like a bunch of strip malls put together. It reminds me of South Edmonton Common. The café is surprisingly large inside with lots of tables. You order at the counter. They have a lot of sandwiches, wraps, soups, salads and pastries so there is probably something for everyone's tastes. I had the daily special wrap. It was turkey with lettuce and lots of vegetables. The sauce really made it delicious. The bonus was that it makes for a healthy meal. The only thing that I didn't like is that it was wrapped rather loosely so it can be a bit messy. My coffee was good (it could have been warmer) and it came with a refill. My wife had a scone and a salad. I had a taste of the scone and it was delicious. That alone makes this café worth a visit. Her salad was a bit plain but it was as described. It would benefit from some more veggies like my wrap had. Overall the food was quite good. I didn't see the cafés name on my phones WiFi list so I'm not sure if they have WiFi but, to be fair, I didn't ask. I enjoyed my lunch and would definitely come back. If you like pastries you'll like it here.

    Coffee! Tasty and delicious.

Terrific coffee shop. Marvelous coffee, tasty treats, beautiful ambiance, hipster in a good way... I'm a fan. And they're good with kids, which goes a long way with me. If I could have a cup of their joe, I'd drink one right now.

Won't be back! Ordered two soups, chicken cheddar broccoli chowder, tasted like clam chowder. No real cheese. It was flavoring No broccoli . The other was good a broccoli soup. Order a Brie and beet salad. It was good but expensive for what I got. They forgot our soups that was so come with a bun, came withstand slice of bread, we had to ask. Our bill was 25$we had no drinks. Tasted like one jags soups, not even hit,It was not busy. Found the staff rude, no smiles. Even the owner/manager looked grumpy, she heard us talking about our experience but was to "busy" to stop and ask. Saw a trip advisor rating said it was good. I will be reviewing it on there as well

The food was pretty…read moremediocre overall, but everything was cooked well and it definitely hit that classic breakfast spot. The chocolate milk was a bit lacking, but the caramel macchiato was actually very good! The décor is definitely dated, though there were lots of "historic" pieces around that were fun to look at while waiting for food. Staff were very nice and friendly, which made the experience better. I'd recommend it if you're looking for a classic, no-frills breakfast on the go.

We weren't sure where to go our first night in Hinton. After doing a quick search on Yelp and…read moreGoogle, we decided to try Smitty's. The menu was interesting. In addition to the normal diner food, they also had what looked like Asian food including butter chicken. I called in on my burner cellphone and ordered a fettucine alfredo for my wife, and a steak and eggs breakfast for myself. After arriving, I waited a few minutes and was given my food after paying. After receiving my food, I immediately drove back to the hotel. To my surprise, when I got back to the hotel, not only did I get my steak and eggs, the fettucine alfredo, but, I also had a bonus box of ginger beef. The food was okay. It was diner food. Service was okay. They did try to contact me on my burner cellphone to let me know that I received a bonus, but, I left the phone in the car. It's an okay place.

We recently visited Rojo Marrón and had a really great experience overall!…read more We ordered the fish tacos, beef street tacos, and the "Espropapa" (definitely not spelling that right ). The Espropapa was honestly a standout -- absolutely delicious. The chipotle dip that came with it was AMAZING, and the presentation was a 10/10. The potato was sliced into a spiral and served on a stick, which made it both fun and visually impressive. The fish tacos were also excellent. They were cooked perfectly, full of flavour, and topped with fresh vegetables. The chipotle mayo sauce paired with them was sooo good and really brought everything together. The beef street tacos were still very good and not dry at all, but compared to the other dishes they were slightly underwhelming. Still enjoyable, just overshadowed by how strong the other items were. Service was great -- our server was friendly, loved to chat, and checked in on us regularly without being overbearing. They even brought out a bucket of different sauces labeled with spice levels, which was a fun touch and let us customize the heat. The decor was very Mexican-themed and added a lot of character to the space. The tables looked a bit worn, but honestly it added to the overall style and vibe rather than taking away from it. Overall, a really enjoyable meal with great flavours, fun presentation, and welcoming service. Definitely worth a visit!

For veggie options they are able to do falafel and sautéed mushrooms for almost anything. We got the: Veggie Enchiladas- super homemade flavor! Never have had pickled onions on tacos and I loved it! 10/10 And Picalado latte with no sugar - UNEXPECTED AND BEAUTIFUL latte art! Decent coffee for the area! 9/10 The server was super friendly and was great with our questions! Would def come here again! Probably some of the best food you'll get in this area!

The burgers were good but the fries were exceptional. One person in our group also had fish and chips and that was good too. One had brunch and ordered pancakes, and those were really good that we decided to go back for breakfast the next day. For brunch the next morning, we had the Lou Lou's Omelette and some waffles. Both were exceptional and really hit the spot. Service was excellent, all the servers always had smiles on their faces and were always attentive. Loulou's also serves pizzas, ranging from the basic to special pizza pies. My partner had the Loulou's breakfast, which includes two eggs, toast, potatoes, tomatoes and your choice of meats. I had the three-cheese omelette with potatoes and toast. Both dishes were very tasty and cooked to perfection. The ambiance of the restaurant almost looks like a 1950's dinner, and is super cool and very welcoming. Soft jazz music was playing while we were there, which made it relaxing as well. Service was excellent and spot on, very polite and professional. A must if you are in the area of downtown Jasper and even just passing through!! I look forward to returning to try their pizza.
