I found Fetch! Pet care earlier this year and have been soooo pleased. I have used both the daytime sitting/walks and overnight services. As fellow pet parents know, it is not easy leaving your pet to go out of town, but Fetch! has really been a life saver. During our initial meeting Tom brought everyone who might be asked to take care of my dog so that I could meet the whole team and get a chance to feel comfortable with them. I decided to hire them and I haven't had one regret. They have gone out of their way to accommodate my hectic schedule and always find a way to take care of my dog, even when I have last minute requests. My schedule changes often and Tom never seems bothered by that. He has taken my dog to the vet, dropped her off at the groomer, taken her on quick walks, and stayed for long 2 hour visits. When I travel, I have been lucky enough to have someone stay at my house with my dogs. However, this time around, I was renovating my house and needed a place for my pups to stay away from home. I had looked into dog kennels in which the dogs would only be in a kennel when they ate and slept ~ all other times they roamed around the place. Then I came across Fetch! What a dream ~ My pups could stay in someone's house ~ a home away from home. filled out the information online one evening, and I received a call right away. Within hours, I learned that someone was available to watch my dogs. The next evening we had an in-home consultant at the house my dogs would be staying. All the paperwork was very straight forward and made me feel confident about the organization. My dogs were lucky enough to stay with Ellen and Ken. I found Fetch! by looking through so many websites and having lots of interesting experiences with doggie daycares in Pasadena. I just got a new puppy who was too young and too scared to attend daycare with his 2 yr old brother. I found Fetch to be super helpful from the very beginning. Tammy was always very prompt with emails and updates. I have gone through 3 different dog walkers through Fetch and have enjoyed them all very much. They were all professional. But my current walker, Kathryn is just the best for our dogs! We have two really wild, energetic and I'll admit, poorly behaved dogs. Prior to walking with Kathryn, the dogs were all over the place on walks *never staying on the sidewalk* and barking at everything and pulling excessively. Since Kathryn has been walking the boys, they have been much more well behaved: staying on the sidewalk, listening to commands, and less pulling. Kathryn has also so sweetly sent me text pictures of the boys during the day and celebrated Halloween with them and always has great recommendations. I'd suggest her to anyone in the area looking for a loving companion to walk their dogs during the day. If I could I would have her around 24/7! My family has been a client of Fetch (San Gabriel) for roughly three years. Heather has been our main pet sitter, with Ellen as our secondary sitter. Both women are caring, reliable pet people! We have three indoor cats and needed two visits a day. Heather was the first person to look after our three cats (one cat with health issues...all three cats have "challenging" personalities). Heather was punctual, patient with the list of concerns I had (on the first visit), and kept us updated throughout our trip on how the cats were doing. Heather clearly loves animals and it showed! Heather made us completely at ease as well as taking superb care of our three indoor cats. Ellen was nice enough to sit for us when Heather happened to be out of town at the same time. I believe that her first sitting for us was around the winter holidays, and she was so wonderful to work around our schedule. It is evident that she loves animals and was so great about updating us and going the extra mile when one cat was hiding for multiple days. Our neighbors usually watch our dog, Coco, when we are away. However, last time she barked so much that the neighbor across the street was annoyed when we got back. My husband had had enough and wanted the dog debarked. After refusing to do that he insisted that she be boarded whenever I was gone. Fetch and Zsanine are truly a godsend. We were going to the UK for about 3 weeks and needed someone to look after our pets (2 cats, 3 chickens, 1 rabbit). Our oldest cat had recently been diagnosed with kidney failure and need extra special care. I was a mess trying to figure out what I was going to do with her. She's been my 'baby' for 17 years. I didn't want to kennel her (last time I did that she was very stressed out, lost weight and developed and eye ulcer), I wasn't sure I could ask a friend to look after her especially with her medical condition (she requires daily sub-q injections). So I came across Fetch! and I'm so glad I did. They put me in touch with Zsanine. She was wonderful!!! She knew exactly how to care for cats with CRF. FETCH was a such a lucky find for me and my cats! I get very nervous about leaving them when I'm about to take a trip, because one of them really requires a careful eye and a lot of attention and the other is very protective of her and can become quite aggressive. That is, my female cat goes through unpredictable phases where she spits up her food on a semi-regular basis, and when that happens she lets herself get dehydrated, which then requires a vet visit. Being on the lookout for this situation takes time and a careful eye. Meanwhile, my male cat is hyper protective of the female, to the point of becoming very aggressive if a stranger approaches. This combination can be tough. So, finding the right sitter is a challenge. Tom was a dream. He set up meetings with the sitters in my home so that my cats could at least see that I was at ease with the sitters, and both Tom and the sitters (hello, Ellen!) were very careful to gather as much information from me as they could about the cats and my preferences for their care. While I was away, I felt comfortable knowing the cats were being attended to, and on the one occasion I became anxious about something, Tom went right back to the house and took steps to put my mind at ease. I was called straight away by Stedman who was extremely professional and answered all of my questions. I was then paired up with Leslie who came to my house to talk through my requirements and to put me at ease. Leslie has been AWESOME!! My daughter is so busy with school and work that she didn't have time to walk the Benny, the Beagle and Chloe, the Doberman. They are too much for me to handle by myself so they became overweight and unhealthy. Our vet warned that they were in danger of serious health problems. Now, they are sliming down, their health is improving and their endurance is increasing! They get so excited at the sound of Steadman pulling up to the house. I found Fetch Pet Care on yelp and decided to give it a try when all the neighborhood kids were on vacation and couldn't watch my cat. I called at 4 pm the night before leaving for the East Coast for 2 weeks. I was profoundly impressed at how professional the intake call was. It included, "Do you have a back up in case a FPC sitter is not available? AND provided alternate service numbers!! Three hours later a wonderful professional young woman arrived to be "interviewed". She offered to call, text, or email updates about our cat. She offered to: water plants, bring in mail, turn on lights randomly in the house to look as if someone was home. There was no big logo on her car notifying others that the house was being "sat". The intake information that is taken on your pet is probably more than you provide for your elder at the hospital! I completed Fetch's onboard client form and was contacted soon after by Manager, Elizabeth. Together, Elizabeth and I worked on my necessary pet care arrangement as I was going out of town for a few days and wanted someone to stop in and check on my cat, Gus. Upon the selection of the dates I would require service, Elizabeth set me up with team member, Pricilla. Usually, I have a friend stop in and check on my cat because I have issues with unknown people being in my home, but she was not available this time, so I needed to utilize a professional service. Upon meeting Pricilla, I was set at ease with having someone who I didn't know in my home. She is fantastic! We met prior to my vacation time and I gave her the layout of my home, things to be aware of with my cat, etc. After leaving town, each time Pricilla would stop by and visit (I requested specific days for her to drop by), I would receive updates and pictures that I not only appreciated, but adored. Its so helpful to know what's going on "back home" when you are away and your beloved pet cannot travel with you. Leslie is the best! We have used her to care for our elderly cat every time we leave town. Not only is she willing to take last minute calls (even when she's already busy) but she makes us feel so comfortable leaving a cat with extra needs at home - even willing to come twice a day. She is supportive, understanding, and sends daily emails and text messages about our cat. I also feel that she genuinely cares about our cat which is the best feeling in the world. What more can you want?? Elizabeth, the office manager, is incredibly thoughtful and thorough when it comes to scheduling and billing. I have used Fetch Pet Care twice now. Each time I was away for six days and Andrea came by each day to take care of my cat. Before we left the first time, Stedman and Andrea came over to meet us and meet the cat. They were very friendly and took time to get to know us and find out all the eccentricities of our cat. We went over exactly what Andrea would do during her half-hour visit, including feeding, litter box, playing, and taking in the mail. Andrea had a calm, quiet demeanor that I knew would make my skittish cat feel comfortable. She communicated via email while we were away and let us know how things were going. Our cat was healthy and happy when we returned and seemed well taken care of. Andrea left a cute "report card" on how the cat managed while we were away as well as a detailed note as to how she interacted with the sitter. Both Andrea and Stedman followed up with a phone call which I thought was a nice, personal touch. The rate seems comparable with other pet-sitting services I researched, and they do not charge for the initial interview, which is different from other companies.
