Well I loved loved Zyra - went to her once a week for 30 sec quick nail trimming for my small dog - paid $10.00 + $5.00 for tip- $15.00 every week - to be loyal and consistent The lady who owns this place probably realized how loyal I am to Zyra and she literally just told me she was going to " double " the 39 sec quick nail trimming ( no shaving - nada ) literally quick nail trim - to $20.00 + since I need to now raise the tip - would be another $10.00 That's $30.00 for a 30 sec task Wow - criminal - and how to raise prices overnight 50%%%?? She explained it's because " my husband and I need more money to pay for things- and the girls who do service here are making too much money and our " cut " of their profit - needs to be MORE Ok- so I get that - but raising prices 50%%??? Jackie, my groomer for over 20 years and several dogs, is no longer there. The new groomer doesn't know what she's doing, and doesn't listen to directions. I told her not to cut my dog's hair, unless it touched the floor. (I keep it long.) She said she understood. When I picked my dog up, she told me she had to cut behind one ear, because my dog had a mat. I had combed out her hair, including mats, before I brought her there. So, if there was a mat, it was very small, and could have easily been broken up and removed, if she knew what she was doing, and had taken the extra minute to do it properly. That was not a big deal, because it was behind the ear, and not visible. Then, when I got home, I noticed that she had cut my dog's hair around her eyes. That's a HUGE deal, because I was growing out that hair so that it could be combed out of her way, and tied with elastic bows. Now, it's going to take years for it to grow back, and make it harder on my dog until then. I have a purebred dog, and if I was still showing her in dog shows, that cutting would be a disqualification. Besides it looks bad. And, she ignored my very specific directions. read more

They are terrible--there is nothing warm about them and surely the dogs can feel it. The assistant groomer who worked on my dog was friendly and the cut was ok, but honestly, I was a little alarmed when I dropped off my dog at the lack of organization in the grooming area and how dogs were all crated and some appeared distressed. (Why not stagger appointments?) There are large dogs roaming free (belong to the owners) and I saw some dogs getting stressed out about that as the large dogs were sniffing at the dogs on the grooming table. I watched the owner leave a dog unattended on the grooming table with the noose on his neck, fur everywhere, like the place hadn't been cleaned for a few days and huge piles of dirty towels in the back. I really want to support this place and I'm glad that many have had good experiences here, but it just wasn't up standards for me. read more

I periodically walk my neighbors dog otherwise he isn't exercised at all. His nails grow so fast and long it looks painful. I called k-9 klipping and explained my situation. I was told she would squeeze us in for Brownie's nails even though I warned her that I was not sure he has ever been to a groomer. The owner/groomer actually paused on the dog she was cutting and clipped his nails right away so he wouldn't get crazy. Took my dog JJ who hadn't had his nails clipped actually ever (bad dog owner I know ) however we always had carpet he walked mostly on grass, it wasn't until we got hardwood floors we realized he was having trouble walking around and slipping and eventually became scared of the floors. Jackie at K-9 Klipping ensured us that she could get his nails clipped very quickly and it would be no problem. She did it in no time and the second we set my dog back on the ground he was walking effortlessly on their hardwood floors. They take cash only for nail clipping and I was short on cash and Jackie said no worries come back and pay when they get clipped again in a couple weeks. I have a 14 yr old poodle-schnauzer mix. He doesn't see or hear well and has been very aggressive when it comes to his grooming. I had a regular groomer up until a few months ago when Pepper started biting during grooming, specifically his nails and face trim. For the last 3 months I was stressing out on how to get Pepper's nails trimmed because he was slipping on the floors at home due to his nails and hair on his feet. Well, I started searching on Google to find a groomer that accepts aggressive dogs and K9 Klipping came up. So I Yelped them to see the reviews and they were very encouraging. So I stopped by and spoke to Jo and she was soooo nice and sooo encouraging after I explained my situation. I brought Pepper in the next morning and within 5 minutes Zaira came and took Pepper, had him on the table and started clipping Pepper as I talked with Jo. I could not BELIEVE what I was seeing!! He was letting her shave him AND clip his nails!! He got a bath that he hadn't had in months, except for the sponge baths I gave him. Zaira Isa true dig whisperer when it comes to grooming animals. She is very fast and Pepper let her do all trimming, except his face, but I was perfectly okay with that. I was just soooo happy with all she got done. I have 2 very vocal and very energetic Samoyeds (3 and 2 years old). Zaira has always been very amazing and patient with my pups. My Samoyeds have lots of hair... I mean lots and lots of hair especially when they are shedding. Zaira always takes her time to dry them and make sure their undercoat is dry too. If you know anything about Samoyeds, you know they are very loud and very vocal. Zaira never complains about their loud barks. Very grateful for the services that K-9 Klipping provides. I have tried mobile services, I have tried brick and mortar and thankfully found my go to once and for all. And don't take my word for it. Every time I would take my Minnie in for TLC she would return depressed, and emotionally drained. However, after taking her to K-9 she returned exactly as I had dropped her off. Her change in behavior was evident right away. Her appetite was just as fruitful and energy higher than normal. I can honestly trust K-9 with my fur baby moving forward.
