Just an FYI if it's your first time bringing your pet for a dental cleaning... they do an examination that costs $45 and if they find something wrong they may not be able to proceed with the cleaning. So for anything you notice that may be off, weird odors in the mouth, etc, an option is just to check it out with your primary vet to save some time. Just want to give y'all a heads up. read more

i want to preface this by saying i am a nervous wreck whenever i leave my dogs with anyone besides friends and family, so finding sitters / boarding we trust has been an ongoing struggle, especially for two dogs. my babies rosie and hank have been going here for the last few years, and we've really come to love and trust this place. hank is a super friendly goofball who always acclimates to groups easily, but rosie is a little nervous gal so she takes a bit to warm up to the group. sometimes i'll watch her on the doggy cam and she'll just be sitting in a corner watching everyone play. but after a few days, i've watched her get used to her new dog friends and even start playing! i don't think that would be possible without the owners and staff creating a caring and warm environment for them. also once i checked the cameras and i saw someone sitting on the floor while all the dogs piled onto them and it was the funniest / sweetest thing i've ever seen. a massive cuddle pile full of happy dogs with wagging tails. they won my trust completely after that. thank you for creating such a wonderful environment where both animals and their owners feel safe and cared for. it's a rarity in this world! read more

I've started to come here for several months now...I bring 2 of my dogs here. But one of my dogs needed her anal glands expressed because she seemed visibly uncomfortable. So I made sure anal gland expressing was included and when I pick her up I made sure to confirm it was done. Each time they said "anal glands expressing is included" and "yes we expressed her anal glands" A few weeks has past and she seemed unbearably uncomfortable to the point she keeps skooting or trying to lick her bum. Concerned about underlying health issues, I took her to the vet. They told me her gland was almost the size of a golf ball (she's 21lbs. Shiba Inu) which a golf ball size is pretty big. When I told them my dogs' anal glands were not expressed, one of the associates tried to shift the blame and told me in a "few weeks her anal glands could get full". But I know my dog and she usually does not need it done that often!!!! She said she would have the manager/owner call me. I NEVER RECEIVED A CALL BACK. A vet visit would've been avoided if it was done. You said it's included in your package, so I was under the assumption that you did do it. Unfortunately it was a lie. read more

I had been taking my dog to my pet garden for 5+ years. I'm sad to say this will be the last time. A few times I had noticed some irritated areas after grooming , but I didn't notice them until I would get home because they would be on her belly or around her under arm area. After a day or two it would go away. I never ask for a specific groomer but when I took her in one time, I asked the girl in the front if the same groomer will be working on her today as the last time because I remembered the irritation that was caused. So I told her that a few times after I pick up my dog I noticed them. She said it's a different one and I proceeded to leave my dog. This time when I went to pick her up I made sure to check her out then and there and sure enough it was worse than it had ever been. I think the owner was there at the time. She was surprised and said oh yeh we should t be doing that. But let's keep an eye on it. I'll give you a call tomorrow after I speak to the groomer to see what happened. My dog was not matted. She was not filthy. She is mainly an indoor dog. With no other pets. One of the injured areas she said might be ringworm. No mam. That is not ringworm and that was not there when I dropped her off 3 hours ago. I know... every morning we have belly rub sessions. I inspect her always. Any ways... she offered me 10% discount for my next visit. And that was that. As I mentioned. It wasn't just a one time thing...this time was just more areas and a little worse I'm disappointed at what happened and unfortunately we will not be going back. read more

I have a very anxious kitty who unfortunately had to go to the ER Monday night. After tolerating a few hours of examinations, she ended up defecating (liquid) all over herself from anxiety and anger. While the vet did their best to clean her up, they couldn't bathe her. I brought home a very angry/scared kitty who smelled like p00p and was visibly covered... anyway. It was 4am, I needed sleep, and was not about to bathe her given she'd already been under so much stress. So she slept in the bathroom. I've brought her to My Pet Garden twice already, so it was the only place I had considered to call again hoping they'd be able to take her in the morning and give her a bath and groom for a nice fresh start. I called at 7am sharp, and was thankfully able to get a same-day appointment! Usually, I give my cat some gabapentin before appointments so that she's not agitated, but I could barely get a hold of her this time. I just packed her in her carrier and went to My Pet Garden, hoping for the best. About an hour and half later, I picked her up and she looked better than ever. She was cleaned up so well, smelled amazing, and truly looked pampered and well taken care of. The best part is, even without gabapentin and after her very stressful vet visit, groomer had no issues with her ~personality~! They even gave her a cute Halloween bow. Thank you to My Pet Garden for taking such good care of Daisy and always making her look and smell amazing after each appointment. Especially after this appointment, I absolutely HAD to leave a review. She's not easy with strangers, so your ability to handle her so well speaks volumes about your professionalism, ability to connect with animals and handle them correctly. I've been a regular customer at Pet Garden for over a year, and until recently, I always had a great experience. The previous staff was friendly, attentive, and did a wonderful job caring for my dog. Unfortunately, it seems like new staff has taken over the past few months, and the quality of service has gone downhill. On my most recent visit (and now my last), I dropped my dog off and specifically requested that the hair under her paws be trimmed. This is something they've forgotten in the past, so I even called about an hour after drop-off to remind them. I spoke with Jonathan, who assured me. When I came to pick up my dog a few hours later, her paws were not trimmed at all. I pointed this out and Jonathan gave me attitude when I asked for it to be fixed. He grabbed my dog by just her harness--lifting her so she was literally hanging in the air--and handed her to the groomer, who also held her up in the same rough way. That's not the kind of handling I want for my pet. On top of that, I paid $55 for the wash and added a $10 tip, but my dog didn't even smell clean. Either she was barely washed, or the shampoo they used was unscented, but for the price I expected better. It's very disappointing to see the drop in care and professionalism here. I will not be returning, and I'll be taking my dog to one of the many other local businesses that treat pets with the proper care and respect. read more

Last Saturday, I took my 9-month-old dog for her very first grooming appointment at PetSmart. Unfortunately, as soon as she entered the facility, it was clear that she was feeling scared and nervous. I To make matters worse, the staff there seemed quite rude to her, which broke my heart. I couldn't bear to leave her in that environment, so I decided to take her home, knowing that I would never return to that store--they don't seem to care about the well-being of the dogs. On my way back, I came across a small, local pet grooming business. It felt so welcoming, and I was hopeful. I explained my concerns about my dog and how anxious she was. The lovely lady at the front was incredibly understanding and radiated such positive energy. Today, I took my Torta back for her grooming, feeling a lot more at ease. She was still a bit nervous, but the ladies at this new place truly knew what they were doing. I felt confident leaving her in their hands. When I picked her up, she looked absolutely beautiful and far more relaxed than before. I am so grateful to My Pet Garden for taking such wonderful care of my baby. This is the hardest review I ever had to write and it's has taken months to write this review because of what happened to my dog the last time my fiancée and I dropped off our precious dog at this place. Every time I think about I get angry and emotional because of what happened. It all started back in Jan when my fiance and I lost our home in the fire and we were staying from one place to another and both of us started working so we needed our dog to be at a doggy day care during the day when we first dropped off our dog we were happy with the care she was given. Our dog was going on 18yrs old and suffering from anxiety because she was staying in places she wasn't familiar with like she would if she was her home where she lived for 10yrs. It was on 2/12/25 that my fiancee and I dropped off our dog like any other day. And when my fiancé went to pick her up that night he didn't see her in a cage (normally when we picked her up we could see her in a cage or she walking around in circles as she started doing after the fire) so one of employees came out and my fiance told them that he was there to pick up our dog and they told him to wait so he waited 5 min and was wondering what was taking so long then another employee comes up and again my fiance told them he's waiting for someone to bring our dog and the employee left and he's still waiting for them to bring out our dog and as he's waiting he calls me and tells me something is going on with our dog and just as he's about to tell me they bring out our dog and proceed to tell him that as a employee was "cleaning" out our dog's cage she slipped and fell apparently after my fiance dropped off our dog one of their employees put our dog on a high kettle instead of putting on a bottom which they have done before. My fiancé tells the employee to talk to me she ends up telling the full of crap story they told my fiance and also said that we needed to take her to the all night animal hospital. Thankfully we take our dog to the animal hospital and they ran some tests and X-rays during this time the owner has called and apologized for what happened and said she'd pay for my dog's treatment but then she said a couple of things that really rubbed me the wrong way as the vet tech was talking to us (we had the owner on speak phone) he told us that because of the fall my dog needed a brain scan and the owner interjected and said that she used to work in animal hospitals and that there was no need for my dog to need a brain scan um when a individual falls and hits their head they get a CT scan so what's the difference for a animal remember one of the employees put my dog on a high kettle and that was a huge fall from there to the floor and then mind you my fiance and I are still in utter shock of what happened and the owner told the vet tech who's in the room with us that if my dog needed surgery she wasn't and I repeat wasn't going to pay for it so she thought if our dog needed surgery my fiance and I was going to pay for it No No No what happened to our dog was at your business and you have staff that looks after dogs. If surgery was required my fiance and I would not be responsible. Thankfully our dog didn't need surgery and had no broken bones. But sadly as a result of what happened our dog suffered a brain tumor and spinal cord tumor and passed away in April of 2025. We miss our dog and when we get another dog when looking for a doggie day care that will be responsible and keep our dog safe we definitely will NEVER bring them to my pet garden again. This is the hardest review of a business I ever had to do. Saying sorry won't bring our precious dog back. read more

I was house sitting and not a resident of the area. My house sit buys supplies at Pet Garden and suggested I try their grooming services. I was so pleased with their groomer, as my dog is known to be difficult and requires a muzzle to groom according to my usual groomer. I was so nervous but they assured me they'd take their time and give her breaks during the grooming if needed. My Daisey Dawg was matted and had burrs and stickers the worst condition she'd ever been in , adding to my nervousness. First, they don't like to put in the work, their first resort is to SHAVE and they will use the excuse that there are significant mats. Let me tell you, they are insistent! When I asked that they merely wash him, the manager (blonde tattoo lady) said verbatim "then we can't take him" like what! If I don't allow you to shave my dog then you won't take him. Side note, never had that experience with another groomer. And also side note, when my cousin took his full bred here who was severely matted (he confirmed) they gave him ZERO grief about not shaving her. Maybe ITS because my dog is a mix and not full bred, I truly felt that he was treated differently because of that. 2) when I picked him up they told me that they couldn't finish his head because he was "nippy" and said they had to muzzle him. Okay - for his 9 years of existence and going to groomers, he's never had that experience before. He's a docile doggo - mind you he's a small 12 lb morkie-ish. Rather than giving a discount for not completing the job they charged me $15. After advocating for my dog, they took off only $11 LOL that's laughable!! It was the principle not the nickel and dimes. I am so happy I drove by The Pet Garden and made appointments. We ordered the super duper packages for both pups. Each had the full treatment with a haircut, ear cleaning and plucking, nail trimming, and glands expressing. Big brother even had his teeth brushed. There were at least 20 other canine friends in the front room for doggie day care, barking and running amuck. The groomers kept our sassy girl in the back so she could keep her beautiful hairdo in tact. When picking up the grandpaws, I almost fell out they were so darn cute. I brought my labradoodle in for a grooming appt for the summer. The groomer recommended a start-up cut. I just wanted shorter hair for the summer. DO NOT GET A START UP CUT. She shaved my poor dog from head to toe. No beard, even the tail. Under no circumstances, would this ever be acceptable. Then she further charged me for a large dog $100 cut. My dog is 33lbs. She also said that I should have asked before the cut! Worst customer service ever!! No communication with the owner!!! For such a drastic change and shave, there needs to be more communication. I'm literally traumatized. EDIT: This was not a health condition. He was not infested with fleas. A grooming is purely aesthetic. I WILL DECIDE what I WANT. Do not put a moral judgement call on right and wrong. UNBELIEVABLE. From my understanding, you aren't suppose to cut the whiskers which is to help the dogs navigate the world. was that the RIGHT choice??????????? I also WISH there was more accountability and I felt HEARD at the store so I didn't have to write public review. How am I suppose to know the dog grooming lingo and additional charges? Took my girls here to get groomed (bath, nails, and trim) and they both came out with injuries. When I picked up my dogs, I was told one of them had a red mark behind her ear from grooming. However, when I got home, not only did she have a red mark, but the tip of her ear was split with dried blood. My other dog, who did not receive a haircut, came home with irritation and cuts on her stomach/thigh. They both came out of My Pet Garden shaking and traumatized. I tried to call them multiple times when I got home, but they did not answer. We will not be returning and I will be contacting the local authorities as I see this is not the first incident of injury. EDIT: My partner got a hold of the manager, Christina, who tried to say my girls' injuries were pre-existing conditions. Pets are part of the family. When a family member is injured, you know it - especially if you are the parent. This is appalling. EDIT: The saga continues. I received an e-mail saying they are prepared to take legal action and file restraining orders because I "slandered the store" and they felt threatened. After browsing through their Yelp reviews, it seems this is their default response for complaints: legal action. No threats were made. We simply asked for the name of the groomer and parties involved, which they denied to provide. When I picked up my dog, they said she had a "red mark on the back of her ear due to grooming," which was not the case. Nicking the skin is one thing, splitting the ear is another. They are negligent and obviously have trouble taking responsibility for injuring your pets. If you have had a pet injured at this establishment or were threatened with legal action, please contact me. EDIT: I'm not going to entertain Ruth's response, as this is obviously a pattern of behavior. Sorting through Yelp by lowest rating revealed a history of abuse at this establishment and the same threats of legal action and accusatory behavior. Chris has responded to the accusations made in another review and I find the way the situation was handled horrendous and shameful. Christina came at us with condescending and snarky comments/attitude when she dismissed his concerns, so Chris asked her to speak to him human to human, man to woman. Way to gaslight the customer. See evidence in photos. And to make matters worse, I discovered they cut one of my girls' back whiskers. Animals need whiskers to navigate their surroundings and keep their balance. What a hidden gem! Located right below GolfTec, a pet store I thought only sells pet supplies but discovered through Yelp that the store also offers a variety of services, such as grooming, day care AND rescue. The facility appears small on the outside but it's surprisingly spacious on the inside. When I walked in, I was immediately greeted by the staffs, who were all very friendly and bubbly. The front desk person had me fill out a short form since it was my first time here, and then the person washing and cutting them came out to greet me and asked how I wanted them groomed. She informed me of the type of gentle wash they use and even suggested the natural facial/teething, which my treat-lovin' babies genuinely needed. Gave me an estimated time and price, all seemed reasonable and fair. After 3 hours, called me to tell me that they're ready, and upon pick up, my babies looked real happy. Happy and clean! There had been times in the past at other places where they were scared and timid. Not here. I knew from the moment I saw my babies, that they were well taken care of. They told me my babies were good and gave me a 15% discount since it was my first time. Thank you! I had such a great experience here with grooming that I wouldn't mind coming back to check out their day care. Unlike Petsmart, the guy inside the doggy playpen was actually sitting and playing with all 10+ of the dogs. So precious! Honestly, the staffs here really DO care about your pets.
