First timers here! My little Tofu looked and smelled so good after her grooming here. They were all very nice and gave me a detailed overview of what happened during the service. I appreciate it because I didn't know that my dog was scared of getting her nails trimmed. They're always busy so make sure you call ahead to make your appointment. They also have a store attached to them so you can buy retail items there. The service was pretty fast and there's tons of things to do nearby while you wait. Pricing was $95 for my pup. My only complaint was the parking. It was a little difficult as it is street parking only. read more

I had a terrible experience at this grooming salon and would not recommend it to anyone. THEY DEPRESSED ME AND AFTER THE OWNER SAID "I DON'T CARE" I brought my dog in expecting a normal grooming service, but instead, my dog was shaved completely bald without my permission. This is absolutely unacceptable. At no point did I ask for such a drastic cut, and any professional groomer should know to confirm before doing something like this. This shows a serious lack of skill, communication, and basic respect for the client's wishes. It's very upsetting to see your pet come back looking nothing like what you agreed on. Please be very careful before trusting this place with your pet. Based on my experience, I would never come back. read more

We cannot say enough good things about this groomer. Our miniature schnauzer looks absolutely amazing--clean, sharp, and perfectly styled What makes this even more impressive is that our dog is not the easiest to work with. She's sweet, but stubborn, anxious, and definitely has opinions during grooming. Despite that, the groomer was incredibly patient, calm, and professional from start to finish. They clearly know how to work with difficult dogs and never rushed the process or compromised on quality. read more

My Pomeranian is very anxious, and from the moment we started coming here, the groomers made her feel so comfortable and safe. They are incredibly patient, gentle, and truly care about her well-being. They do an amazing job with her haircut and she comes out looking adorable every single time. I do NOT recommend this place to anyone. If you love your dog, stay away from this grooming salon. They do whatever they want without your consent, and your pet will suffer because of it. Never coming back. This was the WORST grooming experience I have ever had. I brought my 11-month-old Maltipoo puppy for a short haircut, NOT to be shaved completely bald. Without ANY discussion, without ANY warning, and without my permission, they shaved my puppy down to the skin. This is absolutely unacceptable. Any professional groomer KNOWS that you do NOT shave a Maltipoo bald unless there is a serious reason -- and even then, you MUST speak to the owner first. They didn't even try to contact me. They just made the decision on their own. The result is heartbreaking. My puppy is clearly traumatized. She is not acting like herself at all. She doesn't play, doesn't move, doesn't even want to go outside. She just lays on the couch all day. She doesn't bark, doesn't eat normally -- it looks like she is in a state of depression after how she was treated. This is not just a bad haircut -- this is careless, irresponsible, and completely disrespectful behavior. I trusted them with my puppy, and they violated that trust completely. read more

If I could give zero stars. My cousin and I both had extremely upsetting experiences with our puppies at this place. Both dogs came back with multiple cuts all over their bodies. My dog is very calm and obedient, so this was especially concerning. We were told that nothing could be done and that shaving them down was the only solution. It's deeply unfair and disturbing how our puppies were treated while in their care--pets we trusted them with. I do not recommend this business to anyone. Update: it is for your business. It would be nice if you take responsibility for your wrongdoing and work to improve yourself not to call and harass your clients. read more

Truly the best groomer in Pasadena and I've tried a few. LA pet home is the only place that's able to cut my pug's nails without traumatizing her (even my vet's office could not do it!) I left Milo at LA Pet home for a little over 1 week as I traveled out of state. Milo had a great time and the owner was soooo friendly and patient with him. I asked for Milo to be groomed before pick up and he came out beautiful. Very clean Westie cut for the summer. He's an older dog so they made sure to be extra careful with him. Most definitely will keep bringing my dog back and I'm confident enough to continue traveling knowing my dog is in good hands. read more

I took my miniature bulldog here on 10/18 for a bath and nail trim. My appointment was very last minute because I had a groomer cancel on me. I was very appreciative of them accommodating my last minute appointment and they were very friendly. I booked 3 hours ahead online after speaking to them on the phone, I dropped my dog off at 4pm and she was ready at 4:26 pm. I found it odd she was only there for 26 minutes and they bathed, trimmed her nails, cleaned her ears, and did the anal glads. Upon picking her up she had a her upper claw nail wasn't trimmed and she was still shedding very bad which is why I scheduled her for a bath originally. Today is 10/22 and my dog is not acting herself. She's being aggressive and walking with her head tilted to the side while panting uncontrollably. I examined her and I found a piece of cotton shoved in her ear with blood and wax on it. However since it was so deep and swollen I couldn't remove it myself so 260$ vet bill later here I am with an infected and swollen ear. I really enjoyed the customer service but a 26 minute bath and claiming to do all of the things listed is impossible and this is a half ass job. Very very disappointed and enraged. read more

I am so pleased with the results of the LA Pet grooming service. Our Golden-doodle is prone to matting and has to get shaved when that happens. I am glad the master groomer in LA Pet was able to give our dog a beautiful cut with scissors. We've had issues in the past with our dog getting razor burns and much prefer the scissor method. I am happy with the service and would highly recommend it to you & my friends. read more

3.5 stars. I was walking by for lunch at NY and couldn't resist a pet shop for my most special boy! While I didn't get their names, the 2 people in there were extremely kind and helpful. They had an adorable selection of animal clothes and they were on sale 20% off! Score! Plus they said I could return the item if it didn't fit! Why'd I take off a star and a half? They had Friskies! Never in my life have I seen Friskies in a specialty store such as this. I was hoping to take something yummy and healthy to my boy, but instead I just took him a cute shirt. It fit. He's adorable in it, and I would go back for clothes. Just not cat food. read more

Our dog, Booker needed a bath, grooming, and some TLC. We stayed at the Pasadena Hotel and came across LA Pet Home on our midnight walk. We stopped by in the morning where they had a 10:00 opening. Fatih was great, personable, caring, and gentle with Booker! He took his time with Booker to make sure that he was comfortable! I just wanted to send a special Thank you to Fatih and his team for making my pup feel and look incredible for his first grooming experience. Pablo is 6 months old and Fatih advised me right away that since he is under 8 months we would be able to do a full groom. They were incredibly nice to both Pablo and I, and tried to make Pablo as comfortable as possible. Super sweet and accommodating servicers that really care about your dog! I was dog-sitting a bernedoodle bc I thought it would be a nice gateway into getting my own dog (it's not) so it was my first time at a groomers and I didn't know what to expect. "Do you want him to have a summer cut?" "Mmm ...sure idk hair grows back?" The dog was smelly and possibly had an ear infection. I brought in the prescribed ear flush and they graciously did what I really just could not. In the end, Bodie was a fresh and happy boy that's finally allowed back in the bed. Hopefully his parents don't mind the shave! Def recommend this place for their professional recommendations and quality of care :) read more

Fantastic grooming! I've been on the hunt for a great groomer and I think I finally found the one! I took my three Miniature Schnauzer's in looking kinda unloved or cared for because we were pushing two months of being un-groomed. (A new for us) Unfortunately our previous groomer up and left the other pet shop and we had no idea where they disappeared too. Anyways, after picking up my pups boy they looked beautiful & handsome! Consistently great grooming service for our two temperamental pups! They handle them delicately (one is blind) and are extremely communicative with scheduling quickly (they always know who we are when we've called to make an appointment and who our dogs are.) They also text you for pick up and aren't demanding that you get there immediately like we experienced at other places. The store is also tidy and generally parking is easy (usually a few open street spots) for pickup/drop off. read more

We were walking around in the area and found this little gem! They've been open for about 2 months and trying to get their name out! They offer cute pet supplies, grooming and day care. We inquired about the rates and they are very reasonable for grooming and daycare. The little shop is a bit lite with supplies but I'm sure it will be full soon. It's cute and organized. The grooming area is big and clean, we had a little tour. They have a few wash stations available. The daycare area is upstairs and a great big enclosed indoor area. Perfect for rainy days. Love the cute decor throughout. The service was great! They seem to really love pets! We got to share stories and pics. It was great. We will definitely be bring our pups for grooming and daycare. Parking can be a hassle as it is on Green Street with street parking only. Definitely recommended! read more

LA Pet Home is wonderful! Our 8 month old Aussiedoodle, Disco, went in for his first haircut. He was super shaggy and had some hidden mats under his ears and armpits. They explained what needed to be done and wanted to make sure discos first time at the groomers was an enjoyable experience. The attention to detail, kindness and excellent communication made his first cut great! I highly recommend bringing your dog here. I take my furry niece, Mochi, here when I dogsit because she normally lives in Tujunga with my sister. I prefer if my sister let me handle her haircut here in Pasadena because this place is just excellent. This is my 2nd time here, and the customer service is really what keeps me coming back. The way they made my anxious niece feel safe was so sweet! They really took care of her and her matted hair issues. Carried away-then I remembered this is Molly, our favorite cat, and prepared to have someone else in our messy house. The manager "Mollie" was very organized. We, were very detailed. I organized food in one cabinet, with post-its for info, post-it where her room litterbox was after already giving info to the manager I think it helped make things simpler. We started getting daily reports, with "basics" box checked. They were thorough, precise, and complete. My Dad worked for Polaroid for 20 years, and these pet sitters were awesome at taking pictures. Every day we'd open up the emails and this noise would come out of our mouths: not ooh! Yecch! But...: Awwww, look at how cute she looks. Her wariness and caution as a cat showed, but her shyness rounded the corner a bit. Sitter4paws let us take a long vacation worry free at what we thought were reasonable prices, for a truly truly worry free vacation. Tl;dr: Do not use this company if you have a pet with medical issues that needs medication. Hit or…read moremiss with individual sitters and you have no choice or control over who they send over. I will never use them again after my TERRIBLE experience. Initially used this service for a short business trip with success so tried again for a longer trip to see family between Christmas and NYE. The company sent a sitter I had never met who incorrectly used the pill injector on my sick, elderly cat and forced her to swallow the over inch-long applicator tip. Resulted in $3,000 emergency vet surgery to remove that I had to manage from out of town. So deeply stressful for me but mainly my poor elderly asthmatic cat!! They handled it but SO unnecessary and only happened bc of their bizarre business model where they pick whichever of their employees are available, not someone who knows your house/pet. So if you get one who knows what they're doing you don't necessarily get them again - it's totally random from the customer's perspective. Instead of enjoying my family I had to spend the time managing the emergency they created from afar, stressed and fuming that I trusted this company to send someone competent to care for my sweet older cat. After the first disastrous pill delivery issue they sent the **same person** again a day later who clearly doesn't know how to give a cat medication and she, again, incorrectly gave my cat her medication!!! My cat gets ill if she misses just one day, the medication is a high-dose steroid for her asthma. The employee did not know how to give her the pill, but still marked the medication as administered on their form (I only figured out it didn't happen when I read the notes) and instead of giving her the pill rubbed it on her gums -?!? I am FURIOUS for my poor cat and at the incompetence of this employee they continue to use, along with the management that assured me they know how to give cats medication and yet still sent this individual out after it was proved that they cannot give a cat medication effectively. The other employees seemed to be ok but I had no choice over who they sent over, meaning every visit was a gamble. If you need anything beyond the most basic service, avoid avoid avoid!!!

I've been singing to her "she's a maniac" but swapped it out with "brainiac" all afternoon: lovin' it. I cannot recommend ANYONE go here as long as these two people are here. Dr. Zieve needs to take "small mammals" off her list of creatures she treats. She knew absolutely nothing about hamsters and yet pretended she knew more than me and even argued with me about what I knew to be true. We came in after my Syrian hamster hadn't come out of his burrow for two days. We got an emergency appointment for $230 and they for some god forsaken reason assigned Dr. Zieve and her team to my case. My first immediate red flags that I wish I listened to were that after examining him she came in talking about the two spots on his sides telling me how she thought they were cancerous masses and wanted us to test them for a couple hundred dollars. WHEN IS CANCER EVER SYMMETRICAL?? I then proceeded to tell her that those were his SCENT GLANDS and she ARGUED with me saying that no his scent glands were in a different spot. IT TAKES ONE QUICK GOOGLE SEARCH TO KNOW THAT THESE ARE TYPICAL SYRIAN HAMSTER SCENT GLANDS. After that she also said she was concerned that he had a heart problem because she heard clicking. He MAKES those sounds whenever he's handled because he is VOCALIZING his ANNOYANCE. I knew that the clicking she heard was probably just that so once again we did not pay $425 for an X-ray of his heart. The next thing she said was that he had discharge coming from his penis. I never saw any discharge there, but we thought maybe she looked in deeper and we agreed to put him on antibiotics and painkillers, as well as start syringe feeding him. They also gave him an IV for $75. He was struggling with his feedings and looked like he was in pain after. We brought him in for his check up and told them everything that was going on and they told us to increase his feeding. Even though I had told them it was hurting his stomach. They also still wanted to biopsy his "cancerous masses" we told them to please look at his penis again to check if the antibiotics were even doing anything and they didn't bother, they just gave us a new painkiller that wouldn't bother his stomach as much as they thought that was why he was having pain even though he was still showing these signs after we stopped giving him the painkiller. He continued to lose weight and we found a lump on his face after he had lost a significant amount of hair and thought we finally found the cause. We scheduled an appointment, this time with Dr. Kanfer as we found from their virus of a website (by the way their website acts as a virus, don't open it. we managed to get information about the doctors out of it through breaking down the code for it) that she was the only one specialized in rodents and abscesses. Dr. Kanfer could immediately tell what was going on. I felt like he was FINALLY looked at properly. But it was too late. Dr. Kanfer didn't want to do a bunch of unnecessary tests like Dr. Zieve did which I was grateful for. We did an ultrasound for $105 and they found a tumor but he started gasping for air and they put him on oxygen. He passed after an hour. After grieving him for awhile the nurse with the Spanish accent came in and left the door wide open. We asked for paw prints to be taken and she picked him up like he was some object and used way too much force on his paws, it looked like she was crushing him and the prints didn't even come out good. She then put him in his "coffin" (as the very nice receptionist called it) and shoved it to us like it was some package, saying "here's your box". Very cold and matter of factly. She lacked so much empathy and professionalism that is required of this job she should honestly be fired. Thank you Dr. Kanfer and the team that helped on the last day. F everyone else. The one star is for Dr. Kanfer who I would give five to.

We adopted our two other birds from local fosters and non-profits. After texting the number of the organization, I was immediately in touch with Marie, sweetest person-ever! We coordinated a date and time to come by and see the available cockatiels ready for adoption. I brought my partner and daughter along. As we got a review of the birds, Marie's hyacinth macaw Howard came over to greet us. Such a handsome, boy! We landed in adopting out a young male cockatiel (likely to be 1 year old due to the pearls still visible in his feathers) named "Patrick". He'd been saved from the elements, rescued after being dropped from the sky by a crow. Marie helped get him back in tip top shape, provided me the labs for his current health state (healthy!) and his DNA sexed paperwork. I appreciated the level of care and service Marie provided. She was professional, detailed, and super accommodating. I really loved her level of attention to understanding each and every bird's quirks, preferences, and history. Before we left, Marie provided a bit of food, snacks, and helped us pick a few perches and toys that "Patrick" would be happy with from his current cage. I was very grateful to be able to donate towards the foundation through Venmo. They also do cash or check, or Zelle. The feel the contribution/donation fee is minuscule compared to the value you give back to new member(s) of your flock. I understand only time will heal him from the trauma of his ordeal. We hope the love, care, and patience, our family can provide him with the right environment to help him heal at his own pace. If you're ever looking to adopt a bird in need, look no further than Fine Feathered Friends. Marie is wonderful and so dedicated, and it shows!

It was nice to walk around to see and pet the cats but that was not the primary point of the visit. What made this a pretty poor experience was the instructor and lack of organization. I've been to other paint events and you usually know what the inspo is ahead of time and the paint palette is provided with all the colors and right amounts you would need. They passed around the inspo pic and we had to wait while it was going around the room to take a picture and then we had to go up front to pick our own colors. The brushes were so overused and limp, floppy, and just in bad shape. The instructor said maybe 3 sentences to say she was going to outline the cat but there was no guidance whatsoever around how to shade, how to outline, how to do anything. It was not beginner friendly whatsoever and I think most of us were literally just winging it. The instructor also did not walk around the room or offer any assistance, feedback or help. I could tell some others were over painting and just got up to play with the cats. The concept is great but execution kind of failed. I'm sure they're not a trained paint instructor and maybe an employer or volunteer who likes to paint but that doesn't make for a good experience. We expected to have direction and instruction to paint. So essentially we paid $40 to be around cats and maybe $5-$10 worth of materials. Definitely would not recommend this event.

In that time, he lost a ton of weight and most of his hair. His butt was actually bald! Then, miraculously, or through pure yorkie dark side terrier magic, he actually got MORE healthy with MORE hair...but different hair, and different texture, and even different colors! It is wild. Today, we took him in for his first groom since being on the verge of death, and the little guy looks like a puppy again. He clearly feels great with the last few months of bulk coming off. In any case, this is THE best spot for getting your dog groomed if you need to know that they will be treated right. I am so worried 24/7 about this little fragile dude, and Roch and Gertrude is the only place I leave him besides the vet where I cannot keep eyes on him.

The owner is super friendly and patient. He really takes his time with each dog, You can tell he genuinely cares about keeping the dog comfortable, not just rushing through appointments. My Yorkie came out looking amazing and, more importantly, not stressed at all. If you want a place where your dog is treated with care and the whole experience is low-stress, this is definitely the spot.

Pasadena Pet was…read moremy last resort cause I had taken my dog Mindy (who sadly passed away in 4/2025) to pet smart and Tiffany's dog grooming both located in Pasadena who groomed Mindy but once they had a so-called issue with Mindy being as they said was aggressive they didn't want her coming back to their establishment luckily when I came into Pasadena pet I spoke w/pam the owner told her what petsmart and Tiffany's dog grooming both said about Mindy and she said ok I'll groom Mindy to see how she does if she' becomes aggressive I won't book another appointment but if she's calm she can continue coming. I took Mindy the first time and when I went to pick up Mindy, pam let me know how Mindy behaved and explained to me why Mindy had been aggressive during previous grooming visits. and suggested that in order for Mindy to remain calm during grooming visits that we put Mindy on a schedule of every 8 weeks she gets groomed and we did that and Mindy loved getting groomed. When I told them Mindy passed away they were so sweet and showed genuine care and concern that the next dog I get I'm taking I'm taking them back to Pam and Pasadena Pet. They were willing to let me have Mindy be watched by them during the day while my fiancee and I worked during the day and take care of business. They did an excellent groom on her which included a bath, brush out, some minor trimming and her nails. She looks like a show dog. I almost didn't recognize her from the riffraff version I'd dropped off earlier in the day. The groomer was gracious in communicating her behavioral challenges and we agreed she'll need some more frequent grooms to get with the program. Izzy seems to know she looks fabulous, she's walking around the house in what can only be described as a "strut."

Furthermore, every time they complained about my dog being difficult and asked for extra tips, I always paid them generously without hesitation. Today, I was in a car accident. I immediately called to give them a heads-up that I would be 10 minutes late. However, they completely refused to take my dog, claiming 10 minutes was too long of a delay. A 10-minute emergency delay does not ruin a grooming session. They are happy to take extra tips and demand total cooperation from customers, but they show zero flexibility or empathy when a customer faces a real emergency. They have permanently lost my business.

And found price reasonable enough for some basic grooming of my furry companion. Arrived and found a small out of the way grooming spot with a friendly owner who was insightful and warm. My dog was done in about an hour and a halt and was perfectly bathed and trimmed and happy. Wpuld most definitely recommend if you are looking for a spot in the Pasadena area.
