This little spot is charming and worth the drive! Fortunately I discovered this place on my last visit to a friend in El Monte. There is an amazing and diverse variety of feed you can purchase by the scoop. The staff is super knowledgeable and helpful. I just wish I had remembered to purchase som grit... another reason to come back. The best reason to stop in is they allow customers to hold the baby chicks! I wanted to take home a dozen of these little fuzzy peepers. If I did I'd never get anything done. I'd carry them around in apron pockets like a mad woman. Actually let me rephrase that to a happy and content crazy lady. Seriously, if you can park here, go in! It's totally worth a visit and it's a great value. Great little place. Stocked and organized. Friendly and informative staff. Selection seems great, depending on what you're looking for. They seem to carry lots of chicken items, but also have select items for other birds. I needed some feed for our zebra finches and they had a 25# bag for $26. Definitely cheaper than anything on Amazon and the mix in the feed is great too. Grabbed a large dog bone for only $15! It would have been twice the price anywhere else. The associate who rang me up also carried my bag out to my truck for me and then helped me back out onto the busy street they are located on. Top notch all the way around! Definitely recommend. A nice quaint pet store with the essentials you'll need to keep your small pets happy, healthy and full! Great service with a smile, a nice selection of feed, hay, bedding, and other small animal necessities, and even some chicks and other small animals to buy if you're looking for one to take home! For me, I came looking for timothy hay for my rabbit, since a big name brand box of hay I had went bad and disappointed me. The timothy hay sold here came in big trash bags and $5 each. The quality was definitely much better than the boxed hay I had, and the coloring was not depressing either. The staff was super helpful and made sure I had everything taken care of. Parking was available in front of the store, though if you park head in be *very* careful when pulling out as you'll be going into oncoming traffic. read more

We are in the process of researching backyard chickens. My children enjoy coming here and looking at the available female chicks. I was able to ask the nice lady that works here a lot of questions about chicken husbandry and she was really nice about it, and patient. This is probably the closest place for me to get supplies, or I have to drive all the way to Pomona. Great! And the staff is very well versed in bird husbandry. read more

Cute little feed store that is family owned and operated. We bought 3 chicks from here which were not sexed and it was stayed. Thankfully a YouTube video on how to sex chicks by their wings helped. As you walk outside, in the back, you'll find various animals depending on what they have (goats, turkeys, chickens, etc etc). Very well kept and clean. Lots of food varieties on sale. I had called several places trying to find olive Eggers and or Easter eggers to no avail. This place not only had them but had everything I needed for my new chicks and my laying chickens.
