Went on their website, as I was considering hiring them as needed. The "GET STARTED" button just takes you to an error page. That, plus a few of the more recent reviews leads me to the conclusion .... Not gonna use their services. Bye Bye! read more

Exceeds expectations! I contacted Ken after reading Yelp reviews, but I never expected them to be true! I figured that people exaggerate. However, Ken and his team turned out to be amazing, all the great reviews are accurate! They are very professional, respond to emails within minutes, and are always accomodating. My two dogs (a lab and a terrier chihuahua mix) love their walks and get "cranky" if they don't get out several times a day. I would have no life if it was not for Big Sky team, they are truly "as good as it gets"! read more

My dog loves Big Sky Dogs and so do I! I have a 10 year old dachshund, Jackson, is playful, smart, and stubborn. Ken regularly keeps my him when I travel for work and takes the very best care of him. I don't always have much notice before I travel, and Ken always responds promptly. When I drop Jackson off, I have the peace of mind he will have a blast and be happy. I wouldn't want anything but the best for Jackson so that's why I choose Big Sky Dogs! read more

Not sure how I should rate this place since I haven't used their service and only inquired about their service for my 2 cats and 1 dog. Ken the owner responded that they only Board dogs but their past reviews ( the latest was March 2017) claims they did a great job with their 2 cats (HA!). Ken states it must have been a mistake and he's sorry for the confusion. I don't think I'm the confused one......Thank you Ken for your honesty. read more

Big Sky Dogs - Dog Walkers Near Me

Like talking to a distracted toddler... I never actually used this gentleman's service because he was too flaky to ever hold an actual appointment. I texted him on several occasions with specific date availability so that we could meet up before dog boarding began. He constantly replied with dates out of my stated availability, including meeting the day AFTER he was supposed to watch dog. He's not mean, and maybe his service is good, but I'll never know. I gave up after countless repeat messages and clarification to remind him of something I clearly stated four messages ago. Super frustrating, I had no confidence in him to watch a dog if he can't get a simple date right after five reminders. read more

Very reliable and great dogsitter service. I have an exceptionally busy work schedule that there are a lot of times that I can't take care of my dog until the next day. I am very glad to have known of Big Sky Dogs. Ken and his staff are very accommodating to my wonky schedule and setting up appointments is very easy. During appointments, you get a rundown of the walk, its duration and alongside GPS tracking to know where your pooch went. They also take a photo of your dog on arrival and upon leaving so you can know that your dog is safe and sound. Ken and his staff also communicates any sort of updates that you should know of during the appointment/s which is nice. Their rates and their service area extending to the Glendale area is also quite the lifesaver for me. Could not recommend more. 5/5 stars. read more

A few years ago, I had a sweet lab named Grendel who had a dry eye condition, which is very painful. I paid for a very expensive operation to put a salivary gland into the eye duct so it could moisten her eye but she had to be given treats every few hours in order for that to work. I hired Brandon to give her two 30 minute walks a day and a third 15 minute "treat" break after my regular dog walkers moved to Florida. When I'd get home with my previous dog walkers, my dog was content, but with Brandon, she'd be crying and frantic. At first I thought she was just adjusting, but it continued. So I set up a hidden web cam which had a time/date stamp. It showed that she didn't get the three visits per day I paid for, but 1 break totalling 3 minutes around 3pm. I let this go on for 3 days (after the first day my neighbor would stop by with treats) so I could be sure that this was was not an off day. (and his "helper" was going through my DVD's) He knew she had an eye condition, but he let her suffer. It's been years since I've seen him, but I'll never forgive him. If you hire Brandon, make sure you have a hidden webcam (I still have the web cam photos which shows the entire 3 days and 3 total visits). I find it hard to believe he cares the slightest about any animal's well being, and he puts on a good show to the people with the cash. If you love your dog, don't let them near Brandon! UPDATE: The owner comment makes it seem like Brandon was the victim in a bad hiring decision ("Sometimes, a bad hiring decision causes a business to suffer and this was certainly an example of that." ). It was Brandon not giving my dog the time I paid for and Brandon that caused my dog needless suffering, and in any case, I wouldn't trust anyone that he had "trained". If anyone wants to know if they are getting what they paid for, a simple webcam can tell them all they need to know and is easy to set up. I wish the new owner well if he is truly interested in turning things around, but they should see it firsthand for themselves and not rely on any reviews. read more

My pup still has walks from Big Sky on a daily basis...and we're still very pleased with their services. Just a quick FYI to other clients though: I've been overcharged for my monthly walks on two occasions in the past 4 months, so be sure you look at your invoices very carefully!!! (The overcharge in October was rectified a few weeks after the fact, and nothing has happened yet with the most recent one since I caught the mistake less than 5 minutes ago...but I'm sure it will be taken care of soon.) read more

Ken and his team of dog walkers are awesome. They are professional, caring, and reasonably priced. We appreciate the little touches they do like putting the outside light on at night for us and filling up the water bowl for the dogs. We also appreciated how Ken took the time to come to our home and meet us and our dogs beforehand when we first hired him. This went beyond our expectations. For the price and care and quality of service, you can't beat Big Sky Dogs. read more

We have a two dogs, one is a puppy...a big puppy. A German Shepherd with lots of energy and big teeth. My wife and I work so it was important to make sure our big puppy got lots of exercise while also feeling confident in the caregivers abilities. Plus, you're letting someone into your home. Big Sky has exceeded all expectations and they did it by being: Professional Prompt Convenient Friendly Caring All of these elements would have earned four stars, what makes them a FIVE star service is the most important aspect of a service: experience and education. One of our dogs got into a bag of chocolate chips. The walker knew that this was poison for dogs, contacted us immediately and walked us through the situation. It turned out that there was no problem but it made us feel immeasurably more secure in our walker and the service as a whole. If you love your dogs then you should feel confident working with Big Sky! read more

Pros: Ken and team are great, friendly people. The best thing about them is that they're RESPONSIVE. Secondly, they are consistent. I can't imagine two qualities you'd find more important than that in dog walkers. Pricing is great as well, very competitive in the area. Cons: Walkers could provide more direct feedback about the walk with my dog. (How's he doing? What'd he do? Any behaviors he's exhibiting that need working on?) REALLY SMALL gripe. (I gave them 4 instead of 5 stars because I was spoiled by NYC dog-walking and my dog got to always have at least 1 walking partner. I understand in California it's hard. Ignore if that's not your thing) read more

We've used Big Sky Pets twice now for our dog and two cats and we have to say we could not have been happier both times we've used them. The rates are fantastic and the people we've worked with both times were amazing and took incredible care of our pets. We used Yurda and Perri both times, who texted us daily to let us know everything going on. We will use them every time we have to leave town and need help with our pets. read more

We have been loyal to Big Sky Dogs since moving to the Pasadena area in 2010 because of the consistently excellent service and the caring staff who look after our dogs. Our three dogs each have certain challenges -- we have one elderly dog, another dog with severe anxiety and another dog who is just a bundle of manic energy. Ken and the BSD staff are all total pros and they know exactly how to deal with our zany crew. Not only is the staff great at following our direction for what works and what doesn't work with our dogs, they are also instinctual dog-people who just "get it" and they know how to handle each pup's quirks. We entrust our dogs every single time we go out of town, whether it's a weekend trip or two weeks in Europe. The dogs get to stay at home and on a routine, and we have total peace of mind knowing that they are getting the best kind of attention and care. When we come home, there is always a note telling us how everything went and when they last were fed. Also, BSD has a very functional, extremely straightforward and easy online reservations system which I love. If you're a new customer, or if you acquire a new dog, they will make an appointment to meet the dog in advance, but after that you can do pretty much everything online. Seriously, I cannot praise Ken & Co. at Big Sky Dogs highly enough. read more

I've been a loyal and extremely happy client of Big Sky Dogs since being introduced to them in December of 2011. My dog walker prior referred me to them as she was unable to handle my dog walks any longer. Ken the owner was very receptive to my request to meet him and introduce my dog to him before signing on for walks He had no problem with this. I've always been a little hesitant with any new dog walkers as my dog can be somewhat unpredictable on walks so I wanted to be able to take a walk with the person who'd be walking my dog so that they could see any of the possible behaviors my dog could display. Ken came to meet me and my dog and put me at ease right away. After Ken walked my dog for a while he introduced Kymm to me and she started to walk my dog on a regular basis without any issues at all. I've used Big Sky Dogs 5 days a week since then and never had any problems. Kymm has been waling my dog for over a year and I couldn't be happier with all of Big Sky Dogs walkers and services. I've used their pet sitting services and have only great things to say. It is nice to be a regular client and have a dedicated dog walker too. However, all of staff that I have encountered has been great. I highly recommend them to any dog owner looking for a staff of dog walkers/pet sitters that are competent, reliable and caring dog/animal people. read more

Ive been using big sky dogs services for 3 years and have recommended them to a few friends now. I work a full time job and don't know what I would do with out them. I've lived in 2 different areas and have used 3 different dog walkers. The first two were Brittany and Kim. They were both great. They would switch off when the other was unavailable. Always quickly responsive to my emergency dog walks and very flexible when canceling or needing them somewhat last minute. My dogs are extremely high maintenance and not the friendliest to strangers and Brittany and Kim were always so amazing with them. When I moved to a different area Ken quickly got me in touch with Daniel a new dog walker for my area and he is also really great. He always updates me with how they are what they did on the walks and is very easy to get ahold of when i need him. He even cleans up after any messes my separation anxiety driven dog has created in the house! Couldn't ask for a more reliable and trustworthy guy. Giving keys to somewhat strangers and trusting them with your pets made me very apprehensive however I have never doubted this service and they are very trustworthy. They also have really affordable rates and I checked out a lot of different companies. I would recommend them to anyone. read more

We had such a great experience with Ken! We have 3 rescue dogs that all have their own unusual quirks and I had major anxiety leaving them at home. Ken was so patient and good about sending me updates, reassuring me everything was ok. He even helped us on short notice one evening when we couldn't get home in time. If you are nervous about leaving your anxious dogs, contact Ken. He is GREAT- the best. Also extremely reasonably priced. I wish we weren't moving so that we could continue using his services, I doubt we will find someone remotely as reliable and trustworthy! read more

I enjoyed working with Shannon to take care of my cats when away on vacation. She did an excellent job keeping them fed and their litter boxes clean when I was away. Also, the online system is very easy and intuitive to use for setting up your pets' profiles and appointment times. I'll definitely use Big Sky Dogs again! read more

First off, BSD is a quality service; all of the dogwalkers are secure, and great with our dog. i don't think of our dog as being the most friendly to strangers, so their service is of a standard that can overcome reluctance and make sure our dog relieves himself outdoors as well as get some exercise. Second, it's pretty important that you make your reservation well in advance: because they are so good with your dog, you need to make sure that you get your appointment done early. The word is out that they are good, and getting the timing that you'd prefer is really all about making an early reservation. I like their flexibility in taking care of our dog so his routines are not thrown off. I would add to the above, they take to care to administer Rx's as well feed the dog when needed to adhere to a schedule. Finally, there's just an overall peace of mind that comes with BSD: they come and go and your home is secure. Sounds trite, but my experience is that our family and BSD are on the same page. read more

Ken and his team are great! We made an initial appointment and they were helping me take care of my puppy Bullet shortly after. My schedule can be random at times and they have been very flexible. Bullet is well taken care of and I don't have to worry when I go to work. Their online notification system via email is very reassuring. It lets me know when their visits have started and completed. Just recently I was in a bind and they were able to make arrangements and help care for my puppy while I had to leave town. Their dog walkers are also very attentive. Julie walks my puppy Bullet and gives me updates when needed. I highly recommend Big Sky Dogs to anyone! read more

Big Sky Dogs - My happy pup - Dog Walkers Near Me

Ken and his team are the absolute best! I've used them on several occasions while traveling for work and they always come through even with my last minute requests. They use a QR code scanning system so you know when they come, how long they've been there and when they leave, which gives you peace of mind when traveling. They also think of everything, such as leaving the light on inside, refreshing the water, turning on the fan/AC if it's warm inside, etc. Besides the amazing service, the value can't be beat. Very reasonable prices for excellent service! Sadly, I will be moving out of the area in a couple of months and I will miss Big Sky Dogs... and I'm sure my dog will too! read more

I think it is ridiculous when you cannot get in touch with a business. I sent an e-mail inquiring about their services that went unanswered for four days. I then called the number on Yelp which went straight to answer machine (unsurprisingly I have yet to get a call back). I also called another number I found on Google that went straight to a full mailbox. What would I do if my dog were staying with them and I needed to get in touch? Surely they are out of business if there's no way to contact them. read more

I have been using Big Sky Dogs for the last six months. Our walker spends 30 minutes a day with my three rescue dogs, walking them, playing fetch, and making sure they're okay. I'm gone for 10 hours a day, so I am happy that my pups get to get outside while I'm gone. Ken and Alexcis have been very prompt and responsive to my questions and requests. One of my dogs is blind, so she has special needs on walks. I feel very comfortable having Big Sky Dogs come to my house while I am gone and I know that my furry kids are in good hands. I am comfortable giving them my keys and alarm codes. I get emails when they check in and check out and can see where they walked on a map. Once, Ken let me know one of the dogs was behaving differently and it turns out she had a medical problem that I was able to get treated quickly. I am very pleased and satisfied with the service Big Sky Dogs has provided and I recommend the company highly, without reservations. read more

Saved me in time of need!!! The person lined up to care for my 3 dogs while I was away became unable to do so. Through Yelp I found Ken at Big Sky Dogs who jumped in at a moment's notice and salvaged the whole situation. Thanks Ken, for arranging for spur of the moment pet sitting. You saved us!! I'll have you guys back during my next trip. Great to know the pooches are well looked after while I am gone. read more

This is a GREAT company! We have been using Big Sky Dogs for the last 5 months, and could not be happier. We are very particular about our pets (dog and cat) and home, and we completely trust our dog walker with all of it. She always comes as scheduled, and goes above and beyond to take care of the pets. She always fills the water, opens/closes windows, and turns on the air when needed. A few times, we had some emergencies (dog got into stuff before she arrived, dog was sick and needed to be taken to the vet, we had a gas leak in the house....) and she contacted me immediately and coordinated a plan to take care of stuff until I could get home from work. They are also flexible, which I appreciate. I have a pretty routine work schedule, but, with holidays and vacations, they have always made adjustments and there have been no confusions/mix ups or issues. And, most important, my dog and cat are happy when I come home. I can tell a big difference from when I had private dog walkers (which were inconsistent, had a lot of mix ups leaving her alone in the crate for up to 12 hours!) and also from when I took her to a dog day care (which stressed her out). I come home and my dog is happy - and that's the most important thing to me. My neighbors also tell me they see the my dog with the walker and the dog looks happy with her then too. I'm a bit of a neurotic doggy mom, and it's really reassuring to get the emails during the day when the dog walker arrives. I am SO happy I found this company, and highly recommend them. read more

I have been using Big Sky Dogs for what seems like forever. They are just the most incredibly wonderful organization! I found them when I was searching online for something to replace Petsmart's Doggie Day Camp in my dog's life, as I was having issues with the supervisor there (she's gone now). I have a Golden mix rescue, Cooper, and from the moment I signed up (online) till now, I think they are the best! Right after I signed up, I met Patti Kopcsak, who came to the house, met Cooper, and the rest, as they say, is history. Their walkers are knowledgeable, frieindly, professional, and basically wonderful. And Cooper loves them and dances all around when they come to walk her; I've seen it. If you are looking for someone to take care of your pets like you yourself would, you need to give these people a try. They are just fantastic! read more

We have a been a happy customer of Big Sky Dogs since first working with them back in 2011. After suffering from an accident that kept me off my feet for 3 months, I found them online and gave Ken a shot. He is wonderful to deal with and had someone out right away to look after our dog. He put someone wonderful with us and and in the few instances we have needed a sub, BSD has provided a wonderful backup. Ken is easy to communicate with, attentive and and accessible and the staff is fantastic. I wouldnt trust our little guy with anyone else. If you need a dog walker for either a short term situation or a daily walk (like we use them now) you'd be silly to go anywhere else! read more

We used Big Sky Dogs to walk our two huskies twice a day for a few weeks while we were put out and in a hotel for a few weeks. Our huskies are smart and are runners so we are particular about who we trust our dogs with. Ken was very responsive to our somewhat ridiculous Dog People interview questions and took our concerns seriously. Ken is always very professional and responsive to emails and texts. There have been times where our schedule has changed, or weren't sure what it was going to be, and he has always been quite accommodating. It's nice, too, to get email notifications that he has checked in an out. It was a real relief to find someone good on short notice and I would not hesitate to use Big Sky Dogs again in the future. read more

For a few years now we have been using Big Sky Dogs when we travel and need someone to look after our pups. Ken and his team are reliable and great with the dogs. They are also really good about bringing in the mail/trash if you need it too. Our older dog has a high maintenance medication regime and they are willing to accommodate it which we appreciate. We can't recommend them highly enough. It's so great knowing that you have someone you trust looking after things while you are away. They will also use GPS to send you updates about when they are visiting the house if you are into that kind of thing and their online booking and preference portal is really easy to use and convenient. read more

I have been with Big Sky Dogs for six years and have never has an issue with them. They are always quick to reply and accommodate my needs that can sometimes be outside their offered services. The Big SKy Dog staff leaves lovely notes about their time with my cat. They take in the mail, water plants and spend time with my cat. All these services help me, as a pet owner, travel with peace of mind. What they charge should be more but I am very grateful for their service rate. Big Sky has been helping us for a few years. They very professionally provide frequent daytime care for our two retrievers, nicely filling the gap between us being there and our travel dogsitter. Sometimes with very short notice Ken and his crew take care of dinner and walking when we cannot get home in time or are just too busy to do a proper walk. Their business side is very efficient, with a nice web-based system (Petcloud) or email/phone for short notice. The email start-stop notices provide peace of mind. Cost is very reasonable. We've never had a negative experience. I very highly recommend Big Sky Dogs. read more

Ken and Big Sky Dog is hands down THE BEST dog walker with which I've ever contracted. Here's why: Price...well below industry standard...Reliability NEVER late, always on time, has a QR Reader attached to my fridge, sends out email alert to my I phone, that's peace of mind! (He also tells me # 1, 2 etc.) ....Flexibility, Ken ALWAYS allows me to cancel, add a day, etc. His method of payments are great too, cash, electronic withdrawal or credit cards...Personal Touch My baby Goldie is a very fearful, nervous Chi/Doxi mix who does not trust men. Ken has taken his time with her, and is so great with my girl I cannot recommend Big Sky Dogs more highly, use them!!! read more

What would my life be without Ken and his team ? I would probably be stuck at home and never go on any trips period. I am so happy that I have found them especially after a horrid experience with another dog walker. I love Big Sky Dogs. We had two different weekly walkers over the course of our time with them, plus a different person for a few overnights when our usual person wasn't available, and all of them were fantastic. Honestly, I not only trusted them with my pets and my keys and access to my apartment, I *liked* them. All of them. As far as I'm aware, there was nothing Big Sky Dogs couldn't accommodate. My husband and I travel a lot, and it was such a relief to know we could leave our dogs and cats in such great hands! Ken was always quick to respond to all my complicated requests, and there was never anything they couldn't work out for me--sometimes with very little notice! Kymm was a particularly fantastic dog walker and cat wrangler. We've moved out of state and I think my dogs are in mourning. They loved her! And so did we. I swear we waffled on the move because while we were fine with leaving the area, we didn't want to leave Big Sky Dogs! read more

Big Sky Dogs was a total lifesaver! I would recommend Big Sky Dogs to anyone looking for house visits or dogwalking. Ken is always responsive and strives to meet requests (like my asking for a dinnertime dogsitter after a family medical trauma and I needed extra help), and our sitter Tara was great. We had Tara for a month to help us when we were in a bind, and Ken was awesome about adding more visits to our reservations; he understood our problem and need for help. I really have no complaints. read more

My wife and I moved to Pasadena recently and we were looking for a place that was dependable and trustworthy to take care of our little dog, Astro. We heard a lot of great things about Big Sky Dogs and decided to try them out. It was really easy to fill out our information on the website and Big Sky Dogs contacted us right away. We met Ken when we needed somebody to take our Astro for a walk in the evening. Ken was very responsive, friendly, accommodating and experienced. Astro took to him immediately. After our first experience, we needed somebody to look after Astro for a few days while we were out of town. Since we had such a great experience with Ken, we contacted him and he happily agreed to take care of our Astro for a few days while we were gone. We love the fact that Astro would be in a safe environment with the attention he needs from somebody. Big Sky Dogs are awesome and I would recommend them to anybody who is looking for helpful services for their pets. I wouldn't trust just anyone with our Astro since he is family. read more

I was fortunate enough to stumble upon Big Sky Dogs and their services back in 2007 for my beloved pup Stella. Patti was the original owner of the company and most definitely hired the most WONDERFUL dog walkers and pup lovers I have encounter. Ken carries on this tradition and offers exceptional dog walking services. I have never hesitated to use their services over the past 6 years and would never think of using someone else. They are extremely professional and responsive, insisting on meet and greets with new dog walkers, leaving notes about the day's routine/reporting on my pup's status and demeanor, and constantly making themselves available last minute for my busy schedule. (one dog-walker even over-nighted a suitcase to us while on vacation, talk about going the extra mile!!!!) I know my pup will ALWAYS be a priority and in the best of hands when I leave her in Big Sky's care. Their services are personal, one-on-one walking, professional, sweet, and competitively priced. Ken is great, he is always very prompt on both text and email reply, and has been available to us even with just a moment's notice. He has been watching our three cats, and I never worry when they are with him. Trustworthy, reliable, I would recommend and will continue to use him! Thanks Big Sky! read more

Big Sky Dogs has been walking my dog Jetson for several months now, and I am so happy with them. I love getting the emails letting me know when his walk is starting and ending. I've been with BSD for over a year now and couldn't recommend them more. The Petcloud app they use lets you schedule online, cancel apts, as well as GPS track where and when the walks took place.
