Julie is AMAZING!!! I know i don't make it easy with my lists, routines and specific things my kitty babes "need" etc. but she does it anyway and with so much love for them. We left for Hawaii the day before the fires broke out and i watched on my camera system in horror as our windows blew out from the severe winds filling the house with embers, ash and branches from outside. She was there making sure it was taken care of and that all babies were still inside. She also ran to all her pets in immediate danger and evacuated them to her own home. She went even more above and beyond than she normally does and i will be forever grateful. read more

Called today at 8:48 AM to find a nice pet sitter for my cats. Was given the number by a co-worker so I called to find out more. She answered the phone with "Hello" and I asked if this was Pasadena Pet Sitters. After an awkward pause, she says yes. So I let her know that I'm looking for someone to come and feed my cats and clean their litter and spend a little time petting them during a 4 day trip I'm about to take. I was ready to just get started with Julie, as I trusted my co-worker's recommendation. I wasn't done detailing all of the necessary information requiring their care, when she interrupts and starts giving me the prices. Ok I was cool with her pricing. But I wasn't finished letting her know what I was needing, to make sure we're even a good match. So I ask her if she has a website. After an awkward silence, she suspiciously asks me how I got the number, as if I'm some kind of stalker. lol. Have to say, the lady Julie was a bit unfriendly and suspicious acting. Gave me red flags. Asked me how I got the number and then assumed I was bargain shopping around, by telling me to call her after I get done "interviewing all the other pet sitters." She was actually the first and only one I had called, as my co-worker had given me the # and said that her friend had hired this person before. Although I see on her site that she's licensed & bonded, and her prices are attractive, and she has lots of 5 star Yelp Reviews, due to the vibe on the phone, my gut tells me to go with another service. read more

Julie at Pasadena Petsitters has been a great friend to our cat Cooper for eight years now. He never seems to miss us when we return from vacations! Bookings have always been easy and Julie is as dependable as they come. Communication via text or email is no problem, and Julie will send you pictures if you want to keep connected to your pet. Updated review. Zero stars!!! Unfortunately I saw the side that so many folks have posted about re Julie's curt responses & her attitude. In all of the conversations I have had with Julie over the past 2 years, she has cut me off mid-sentence, been rude & condescending with me. I believe we might have had two conversations where she showed some warmth & human kindness! Granted, I have requested her services on very short notice often... such as life. I have always been very appreciative, tipping well & leaving eggs & other small gifts as my gratuity. But for her to come to my home tonight to do the job I hired her to do.... and to chastise me for not letting her know I would be home?!?! I invited her in & advised her I got off to a late start because of my recent surgery. She shook her head madly, holding her hand over her eyes & very dramatically stated, "Cindy, you must always tell me when you don't need me!" I advised her I did need her! I had been waiting for her to arrive on purpose so I could show her a few things about our newest lil hen... she told me, she thinks she can figure out how to put a chicken away... hmmmm? I asked her to allow me to show her what I needed & she breezed right past me, stating ... THIS will be the last time I pet sit for you! I corrected her & advised her that she would not be needed for these upcoming days.... I asked her to leave, she placed my key on the arm of my medical recliner & walked out the front door. I wished her a Merry Christmas! I really hate to give a bad review! Often times, good people are just having a bad day... But to think I actually continued for all this time to patronize this lady with her cruddy attitude, especially after she chased one of my hens all over the yard, forcing her to fly over the wall & into the neighbors yard!!! I hired Julie based on the 5 Star reviews. She is very slow to respond to any communication as another has mentioned here. When she came over the first time to meet my sweet natured Goldendoodle that everyone loves, she didn't pet him or really pay attention to him. I should have known then. I have a security system that can record anyone entering my house. When I noticed she only spent 8-9 mins by monitoring my front door opening log data with my dog, I recorded a couple of visits. I was disappointed she never petted him, played with him nor checked his food and water. The visit was supposed to be for 15 minutes. Julie seemed disinterested in my pet and I could not recommend her. I now found someone who really engages my dog, walks him, plays fetch and checks his food and water. She even sends me a photo of him at play. Now that's great service. read more

Julie is freakin' amazing! It was Friday and I was getting ready to go across the country for Christmas with the family on Monday. One of my poor cats had to be rushed to the ER that night and unfortunately needed to have some extra attention while I was gone. I contacted Julie last minute and she was at my house the next day to talk with me and meet the cats. She had no problem giving my cat medication and making sure there was food/water for all of them. The really nice added thing is she gave me updates throughout the week to let me know the cats were doing fine and the medication was being taken well. She also offered to fetch more medication if needed. Finding a good sitter can be stressful, but I assure you that Julie is the best in Pasadena. I will be definitely be using her services again for future trips. read more

Were made an appointment to meet. I hired her that day and she has been taking care of my cat ever since. She does a short cat visit every day that we are gone. I really like this and so does my cat. My cat used to be very upset when I cam home and now she has the consistency of a humans coming every day she is much more relaxed. I am very excited with our new find. She is great! read more

Julie was absolutely amazing! We went away for the weekend and gave her a call on Tuesday for service starting Thursday. Julie did a consult and met our two cats that same day. She took copious notes about everything, obviously where the food and litter was, but even how the cats like to be petted. She was patient and even waited around until the shy cat came out to say hello. When we were gone, we received text messages every day on how the cats were doing. Julie will even water your plants and check your mail for you! After we got back, we found a note from Julie about every day's visit and how the cats were, what they were doing, who came out to play, etc... Don't be fooled by her low prices, she is definitely the best pet sitter we've ever had. read more

I wanted to hire Julie to watch my two cats over Christmas because of her good Yelp reviews so at the beginning of December, I sent her an email inquiring about holiday availability. Never heard back, so I sent another one three days later, this time through the contact form on her website. No response. By that point, I'd waited a week for a reply and it wasn't worth it to me to pursue her by phone. I started contacting other local pet sitters and ended up hiring someone else who also had good reviews and actually emailed me back (super promptly) after my initial inquiry. I wanted to give this place a shot and I'm sure Julie is a great sitter... But from my non-encounter with her, it seems like she lacks professionalism when it comes to following up with potential clients. read more

My dogs and I LOVE Julie!! I have a big English Bulldog and a tiny Maltese. I hate to leave them at any time because like any dog owner, were so attached to them and treat them like our children. We are so glad to have found Julie, and just like all her other yelp reviews, we trust that she will care for our dogs as if they were her own. She always updates us by text every day, and even took out our trash with the doggy poo! When I moved to Pasadena from Napa, the thing I was most broken hearted about was having to leave my pet sitter. I have to travel for business, and with her, when I traveled I was never worried about my dogs or cats. I knew she was reliable, that they would get walked, etc. It took me a year but I finally found Julie at Pasadena Pet Sitters. She is everything the Napa sitter was, and much more. She is always there, on the dime. Even my neighbors comment on this. They get walked, they get talked to, they have company, and predictability. And they really are watched over. Julie stays in touch with me when I'm away, tells me about what they are up to, silly things they've done, etc. -- which I love. It makes me feel still connected to them. I've never had a pet sitter do this before. But more than that, I have seen my dogs with her. My dogs don't just love her. They are IN LOVE with her.They practically do somersaults when they see her walking up the walkway. She comes in and sits down on the floor and they climb all over her, tails wagging so hard they are practically hitting their faces. She feeds her, plays with her and will even clean her litter box and check your mail! Julie is a fantastic pet-sitter! I have called her a few times in the past couple of months every time I would go on a long trip. She is reliable, flexible, and will work with you with your & your pet's needs. My cat is afraid of everything, but he seems to get along great with Julie. I worry sometimes with my cat home alone, but she replies to emails pretty fast with updates. She also makes sure that she leaves your home clean. I thought it was incredibly considerate of her to throw my cat's litter outside, even if I didn't mind her just throwing it in the trash can inside the apartment, so I always come home to a very clean, odorless room/ litter box. I rarely go anywhere without my dogs, but my one dog is over 16 years old and was too old to take camping this year with my other two dogs. This dog is especially picky and whiny, but with Julie he just seemed to get right into the groove with her and her dogs. As a matter of fact, I was feeling so bad about leaving him, but Julie just came and got him and he walked right off with her like he had done this all his life. It really helped me emotionally. She has a regular routine and walks the dogs twice a day. She is very knowledgeable about caring for older dogs and their medical needs. I had no worries about my dog being properly cared for. As the other review mentions, she keeps you updated on daily happenings and made me feel confident of his well being. I completely trust Julie (and not many others) with my animals and that is "priceless". read more

I don't normally review anything good or bad, this is probably my second review ever, but I have to tell the world that Julie at Pasadena Pet Sitters is the BEST!! She is a cat whisperer to the fullest. My cats absolutely love her (and the treats she brings and games she plays with 'em)! When I come home from vacation, it's like I never left: happy cats, place is clean, mail is on the table, plants are still alive, and a day to day journal is left for me to read and smile and laugh at about the goings-ons while I was away. She is super affordable, half the price even than those miserable boarding places where your babies are caged up and uncomfortable and stressed out! Plus she can even take payments online which I love. She is completely trust worthy and insured/bonded, I was apprehensive at first about giving my house key to a stranger especially after being robbed by a "friend" while he watched my cats. Julie actually met with me and my kitties before I left the first time to not only make sure she/they are a good fit but to put me at ease with everything else. During my last holiday, my poor old Mama Kitty got ill suddenly. Julie called me right away, I freaked out and was ready to change my plane ticket and come straight home. She calmed me down, slept over at my place to monitor Mama's condition and took her to my vet the next morning with text/phone updates every few hours. Luckily, Mama bounced back and Julie called to say that she was alright and to enjoy the rest of my trip. When Mama got ill again recently (I was home) and I was less than satisfied with my usual vet's diagnosis and treatment, I turned to Julie who recommended her vet and they are wonderful.
