After adopting a new dog, to my great dismay, one of my existing dogs turned Cujo on me and would try to attack the new guy. We have been with Reid for 3 years - I trust him with my dog Lemon whole heartedly. More importantly, Lemon LOVES staying at Reids! When she realizes that we are driving towards Reids she gets super excited! She runs up to him and jumps with joy! Our kennel closed and we needed a new place for our dog Panda. Someone suggested Reid. What a huge difference! Panda was so happy there. Reid's experience as a trainer and his love for dogs was apparent and Panda fell in love with him right away. There is plenty of clean play area and the big room where they sleep is immaculate and beautiful with different resources to meet each dog's need.. Reid evaluates all new dogs to make sure that all dogs blend well together which was important to us because Panda had not been with other dogs before. It was all a big multi-day play date for her and a worry free trip for us. He posted pictures so that we could see Panda having a good time. What a great experience! We got a new puppy, but already had a trip planned. We were torn. How can we leave our new puppy for 9 nights and trust that he is well taken care of and not falling behind on his training? Enter the Dog Ranger! We heard about Reid from a family member and quickly got on the phone with him. He eased our minds immediately with his expertise and calm demeanor! We dropped Kobe off at the 'dog house' as he calls it. It really is just that! As soon as our puppy got there, he peed on a kitchen mat. Reid didn't bat an eyelash and assured us that his house is all about dogs and not to worry. He had a nice fenced in yard with lots of grass. Reid was willing to set up our puppy's crate and pen exactly as we wanted it. He answered all my annoying questions without hesitation. While we were gone, Reid sent us a picture of our pup everyday and let us know what he was doing. He took him places and offered to expose him to different things so that he wouldn't develop fears. Our puppy was better trained when we got back. He learned how to wait for his food and was better at his commands. And the other one-the lab-is a big scaredy cat. But Mr. Ranger was able to tame these guys right up in no time with love and teensy treats. Our boys learned how to do things that my husband and I never could make them do. As an example, he taught them patience while getting harnessed up before and after walks and 'quiet'-Mr. lab is quite the talker! After leaving our boys with the Ranger for ten days it is so clear we will never, and I mean never, kennel them again! I mean, he has the perfect doggie setup: a sofa just for his doggies, play areas inside and out, and stimulation galore! In fact, when we came to pick them up, the pit hid behind him. I'm not exaggerating to say that Reid saved our dog! My daughter rescued a five-month-old puppy, Loki, to train as her psychiatric service dog and unfortunately it became obvious he had his own anxiety issues. Daughter is attending college 800 miles from home, in Pasadena. After returning to school in Pasadena with Loki, she had to find doggie daycare for him because he wasn't ready to go to school with her. We found a daycare that had good reviews and took Loki there for a pre-enrollment visit the day before daughter started school. It was terrible - 25 dogs all closed in one room, barking their heads off and it smelled like urine. Emergency call to Reid asking him if he could take Loki daily starting the very next morning. Not only did he say yes, but he picks Loki up every morning at 7am (because daughter doesn't have a car), keeps him all day, and returns him at the end of the day. Reid stepped in at the last minute of a truly urgent situation, and Loki would be a different dog without Reid! Reid's TLC of Loki and gentle socialization with him meeting and playing with other dogs has given him a chance to not be afraid of other dogs! Now because of Reid, for Loki "Dogs=friends!" If he is able to be a successful service dog it is because of "The Dog Ranger" Reid. So gentle and kind, and his sweet dog Maloos became Loki's safety friend.
