We had a nice, mellow time here through the one hour cat pass. It was a spacious area with plenty of different spots to hang out with a host of cats in the midst of their day to day routines. The energetic and fearless greeters that are ready to play, the careful observers, and the stalwart nap-time pack. The adoption photos and details are nice and clear on the wall, so you can place a face and learn more about them if you have a connection. We also had the opportunity to visit another day for their MEOWjong (Mahjong) event where they partner with a wonderful group of teachers to show newcomers how to get started with the game. This is especially recommended as it gives cats a new way to show off their social skills. Whether they're interested in what all that noise is about or want to "subtly" be a part of the group by sitting directly of the middle of the table so four people can watch them take a good rest. A super endearing way to spend some time and see them in another light. We have adoption on our family's mind, but aren't actively looking quite yet. So we don't have any experience with the process there.

A wonderful place to visit with and play with cats of all ages. You can apply to adopt one, or just enjoy a room full of cats. We had a great time.

What a great place and experience! We attended a screening of the "Room 8" documentary about a cat that adopted a 6th grade classroom in the 60s. Imagine our surprise to watch it in a room full of very sweet cats! Everyone there was very nice, the cats are well taken care of by a real devoted group. Definitely a fun experience and I'd recommend them if you're looking to adopt.

Adorable concept for cat lovers who can't have pets at home! I took my daughter here and she had such an amazing time, she didn't want to leave! The space is cozy, clean, and filled with the sweetest cats. She loved it so much that she's now asking to host her birthday party here with her friends. Highly recommend for a fun and unique experience, especially for kids who adore animals.

Great experience and great cause. $20/hr/person. You can play with the cats and pet them. You can't pick them up but you can adopt them! The staff knows each cat so well and their preferences like don't pet their head or this one is super playful. They are all rescues and come with their own wonderful personalities.

This place is super cute ! They offer adoption as well ir if you just want to play with cats and mingle with them , they offer a day pass and monthly membership. The day pass is $20 for the hour . Staff were super welcoming and friendly. The cats were so friendly, playful , except one there was one that does not care so much to be bothered but the volunteer did inform me of that particular feline , I do recommend for anyone wanting to play with cats or looking to adopt to check this place out. It's clean and spacious . Parking was pretty easy and they provide cat toys for visitors

Ask the Community - Tail Town

Hi. I am interested in coming today at 11am. Do I need to make a reservation online or May I pay at the location?

You can pay when you come in.

Are you a no kill shelter?

We are not a shelter we are a cat cafe that boards cats for our partner rescue, Kitten Rescue. All shelters are kill shelters you should search for a “rescue” in your area if you need assistance.

Hi! Is it possible to stop by without an appointment?

Absolutely! Best to arrive before 3PM.

Can you go visit even if you're not currently planning on adopting?

Absolutely! The kitties love playing with people and it’s great for their socialization. We have several people that can’t have cats where they live so they come in regularly to get some “cat therapy”! :)

I like many people have chosen to adopt during the pandemic - a time where many others are looking to provide a home to a dog. I support rescues efforts to chose the absolute best home for each and every animal. My issue with Little Wolf Rescue is with a major lack of communication after leading me to believe I was chosen to adopt the sweet dog I had applied for through LWR. Ariel, who I see people making very lovely comments about here, contacted me to offer a meet and greet with a dog I was so in love with. A dog I was ready to commit to and dedicate myself to meeting his needs. I met him (let's call him Q) and his fosters, who were lovely people, and felt great about it. Prior to that meet and greet Ariel told me the next step after the meet and greet was to contact her and schedule a home check. She then proceeded to post on IG that she had selected an applicant to adopt Q who was scheduled to meet him. Which given the timing and the fact that the fosters said there were no other meetings scheduled, led me to believe I was the one chosen. The fosters expressed to me how much the dog seemed to like me, and that they liked me for the the dog (let's call him Q). I reached out to Ariel via text directly after my meet and greet with Q and expressed my sincere interest in moving forward and asked when she would like to schedule an home check. And no response. I reached out again - no response. I called and left a voice mail the next day with again, no response. I emailed her and received no response. A few days later she posted about difficultly with her phone in her IG stories so I thought perhaps once she fixed her phone she would get back to me to say something. But I received absolutely no contact from Ariel. None! Not even a text to say I'm sorry, we've decided to go with other applicants for Q. Now, I would have been disappointed and likely would have asked why, but found it truly cruel to simply ghost me after inviting me to start the process towards adopting Q. I had already begun to envision him in my life for his life. I was left to ask the fosters if they had heard from her at all. I continued to ask Ariel to just let me know she had received my messages and to give me a sense of timing, or of if she wanted to proceed at all. I did so via IG, text and voice mail, and one email. It has now been over a month, and she never ever got back to me. Most of all, I want Ariel to know that I understand her priority is the dogs in her care, but the humans she invites to meet and adopt them also have feelings and are impacted by her actions. For anyone reading this, I know rescues are inundated with people applying and contacting them non stop. The only reason I strongly feel I needed to write this, is I was selected, I was offered a meet and greet. I did get emotionally invested in Q. And, I did pass up other adoption opportunities while giving Ariel the benefit of the doubt that she would eventually get back to me. So, guard your heart if contacted to meet a dog in this rescues care. They may do what they did to me. Honestly, Ariel, you may want just learn to face people, even if you have bad news for them. It truly was most hurtful not to hear back. I am an adult and can handle bad news, but this... this was just not okay.

Honestly, I think I was mainly upset at the fact that tickets cost so much and there wasn't much to see. They only took up two halls that you can pretty much walk through in less than two hours. There were guest speakers to fill in the time, but again, $50 is a lot for what you get. The Humane Society was there with a lot of kitten adoptions, and their line to get in was long. It was also a bummer to see that many vendors did not have an actual cat at their booths. Many of them used stuffed animal to represent a cat using their products/furniture. I get that having actual cats would create more work for them to keep an eye on, but this is a cat convention after all... I would have liked to see more live cats. Well, it was quite disappointing actually on a number of levels and I love me some furry everythings but CatCon is not the vibe. As mentioned, we all donned our cute little ears and drove out to Pasadena with our $42 per adult tickets and we had 3 adults plus two kiddos (free admission under 12). We arrived then had to pay an additional $12 at the parking garage. Upon arrival at the 10am opening, we then waited in the General Admission line for about 90 minutes in 90+ non-shaded, non-expected so people were going down around me from heat stroke without water & air, Pasadena sun. Listen, all this is part of a Con right? Such is the life of an attendee! BUT~this was not a Con at all. Had the payoff of spending $150 to wait in such torrential conditions been worth it as it as at a proper Con, I wouldn't rate it so low! And mind you, the two stars is just because----cats. But this was no proper Con -I don't know what this was but it had nothing at all worth paying an admission price to enter. Once inside the venue, there were just shops and additional paid meet & greet with internet cats then adoptions. But what's crazy even with only those minimal things - I couldn't attempt to buy anything or see anything as the line for seeing any cats was another wait once already inside. Lines for EVERYthing not just meet and greets, it was truly bizzare. It was so packed with nowhere to go and nowhere to squeeze through and absolutely nothing to do, anxiety inducing after standing for 90 minutes in 90 degree weather to be packed in like that with nowhere to sit. This can't be called a real Convention at all - it's so bare minimum with no talks, discussions, panels, like nothing free without a wait included in the expensive ticket price. Like literally nothing if you did not wait for at least 30 minutes which makes no sense at all! We had a Cat Festival back on Chicago that ate and CatCon in Pasadena surely does not.

Also because it was our first time there we were asked to bring in the latest vaccines to ensure safety. So that we did! After all the introductions and letting go of the leash from my clingy little boy. It was time to wait for the pick up call.
