We adopted our Sedona from Jacquie in 2015. She was very professional and caring. The org took care of everything for us as far as spay, vaccinations & exam.

I adopted my sweet kitty from Luxe Paws several years ago. The group has always impressed me with their community involvement and honest approach to caring for cats.

Great group! I fostered and ultimately adopted my kitten from Luxe Paws. So did a friend and my trainer. Luxe Paws fills a need we don't talk about in LA - helping stray and feral cats living on the streets. Next time you see a kitty outside, please stop and think. Is that cat really "allowed" outside - or is it lost? Is it fixed? Follow LP's Instagram or FB feed and you'll see them rescue lost pets, save strays from coyotes and get medical care to injured/starving cats. Their core focus is TNR (trap, neuter, release) and they foster and find homes for rescued kittens. For every cat they 'fix' LP prevents litters of kittens from being brought to LA Animal Services, which still euthanizes for over-population and lack of staff for bottle-feeding. My little guy now has a great life, and I have a great [tiny panther] kitten thanks to Luxe Paws.

I adopted my sweet kitten from Luxe Paws and they have been amazing!! Jacquie has helped me out so much with the adoption process, she even picked her up the day of her spayed appointment and dropped her off after the procedure. I recommend Luxe Paws to all my friends what they are doing for the stay community is amazing!

We have adopted two cats from Luxe Paws and have never had a better experience!! Luxe Paws is a dream to adopt from! They should probably raise their adoption fee also, it's really low. They are attentive and connected and I still send pictures of our kids to them to this day ! They make sure everything is a good fit and don't just disappear as soon as you take a kitty home. On a personal level TNR is really important to me and I LOVE that luxe paws is committed to saving cats and kittens off of the streets, instead of pulling from shelters. And committed so fully to spay neuter. It's also cool that they're a local group pulling from local streets. I know the intersection my cats came from and that is real local impact. I've also fostered cats for them a few times and can't say enough good here either. As soon as I realized my cat needed a breather, I was able to move the kitten I had out. Another time I had kittens for a long term foster situation and they were super attentive and didn't just forget we existed. Luxe paws is on top of everything. They are truly above the crowd when it comes to adoption and making a real difference. I will always support luxe paws !

I was first introduced to Lux Paws through social media 3 years ago and I saw the amazing things they were are doing to save cats and kittens on the streets of LA. At first I volunteered my massage services at their events to raise money for treatments. Soon after I then adopted my little kitten Molly and from there I've actually helped in a couple TNR's in my neighborhood. The Luxe Paws organization is absolutely wonderful and the people that volunteer for them are equally wonderful. They truly care, not a day goes by that there's not an update about a cat that's been rescued, adopted, fostered or an event to raise money for the organization. They have saved thousands of cats on the streets of LA

The "runs" are nice-sized and every dog has an open air and covered place to be; every space I looked in was clean and had a full water bowl. Volunteers are everywhere to bring any dog to one of the large enclosed "get to know your dog" areas -- you can even bring your own dog for a meet-and-greet. Very similar to a Yelp event, but without the gatekeeping. Adoption fees are very reasonable and including (mandatory) spaying before your new family member comes home with you. Fees are half-price for animals that have been at the shelter over a certain period of time. I wanted to put every dog in my car and take them home, but that would never work. In the meantime, I have my eye on one Jindo mix who could be my Yelp +1 for upcoming events. Adopt today!

We said okay and continued looking around. After a bit, I went to the front desk to ask if we could meet one of the cats, Clawdina. A white female staff member with a bun told us she'd be right with us. We waited for quite a while and no one came, so we went back to the cat room and waited some more. At one point, my son and I were standing nearby while she was speaking with another guest. We didn't want to interrupt or seem rude, so we continued waiting, but we were never acknowledged again. Eventually, we just left. It was honestly really disappointing because this was our first time visiting and we were genuinely excited to meet Clawdina and potentially adopt her. We know black cats can have a harder time getting adopted, which made the experience even sadder for us. I completely understand being busy, especially working in customer service myself, but being ignored for that long without any communication felt unprofessional and unwelcoming. A simple acknowledgment or update would have gone a long way. Unfortunately, because of this experience, we don't plan on coming back.

My husband and I had always planned (I feared) for such an event. We made a "go" bag (not unlike ours) for our furbaby complete with meds and food we lovingly prepared (to be added from the freezer). I enlisted a tutorial from our vet tech https://www.yelp.com/biz/p-a-l-pet-assistance-by-lory-sherman-oaks to properly administer SQ fluids and B-12 supplement. Our furbaby succumbed to kidney disease two months ago. Now all we have to worry about in an emergency is ourselves. Passing this info on as it applies to all creatures, four leg or two leg... "September is National Emergency Preparedness Month, and LA Animal Services wants to make sure your furry four-legged friends are part of your family emergency plan. Here's a checklist to create a family emergency preparedness plan. · Plan where you and your pet will stay in case you need to evacuate your home. · Prepare an emergency kit. Put together a bag of emergency supplies for your pet such as food and water for several days, treats, medications, toys, and blankets. Make sure that perishable items are replaced every few months. · Create copies of important documents for your animal such as vaccination records, microchip information, photos of your pet, your contact information, friends/relatives contact information, notes on feeding, medication, and behavior. Keep a copy off-site with a friend or family member, in digital storage, and tape a copy to a portable kennel. · Make sure you have the proper equipment for pets to ride in the car (carriers, harnesses, pet seat belts, etc.). · Have your entire family, including your furry family members, practice evacuating so everyone knows what to take, where to find the pets, and where to meet. Emergencies can happen at any time, so planning ahead and being prepared are key to keeping you and your family and your pets safe. Thank you, The LA Animal Services Team"

I truly don't think I've encountered a creature sweeter than him. It was always my intention to adopt a companion for him but I couldn't figure out the best way to go about bonding. Life happened and somehow 5 years went by where I didn't have the time or confidence to go through the bonding process myself or the finances to outsource it. Honestly... I felt guilty constantly. I knew he deserved better. Rabbits form bonds with each other that are so beyond what humans could ever imagine feeling for one another, and I wanted this for him desperately. Fast forward, May of this year came and I was done waiting. After some time spent scouring the internet, BWF came up. I emailed them, along with a few other adoption agencies, and the next day I got such a kind email back from the founder Lejla. She vocalized that she could see how much my little guy meant to me, and was so kind. We set up a phone call where I got a feel for how knowledgeable and caring she and the rest of the organization is. When she told me that they actually offer complementary bonding services, I was sold. Lejla claims to be a bunny match maker. I love the idea of that so I had no problem just buying into it, but logically I know it sounds a bit silly (and cute) saying to other people. But listen. I described Floyd's personality to her over email, and immediately she sends a picture of this adorable white nosed cinamon girl. She says something like "this is his future wife... don't ask. I'm a bunny match maker". We set up an appointment, the girl bun she sent me a picture of was brought along with some other potential partners, but in my mind I was like "hey, we might as well just try them out first." They got along immediately. If you know bunnies... you know this is NOT always the case. I think she might actually be a bunny matchmaker haha. Floyd and his cinnamon girlfriend (I named her Bambi) had their first date on a beautiful sunset evening backdrop, and afterwards they were whisked away for their honeymoon. I'm coining the phrase bunnymoon. I got them back a week later, and I can't even express the happiness this whole experience has brought me. Floyd is in LOVE. Bambi is in love. I'm in love with both of them. I get to watch how happy Bambi is here in her home, she zooms around like a puppy. I get to wake up and see them cuddling or grooming each other. Every time I look at either or both of them my heart swells. There's so many benefits from adopting from BWF, this is way longer than I meant for it to be, but seriously. This organization is so good and so caring. Bunnies are really misunderstood here in U.S. and they're spreading such important information on how they really need to be treated. They give you so many great detailed resources on veterinary care, what types of food to give, which brands are best, the list goes on. They haven't failed me a single time yet. They've only brought happiness for me, and more importantly, Floyd and Bambi. I'm really grateful for BWF.
