Luxe Paws is the best! I've been volunteering with them for over 5 years and I have found them to exacting but kind in their mission. Fun and thoughtful during their charity events. But mostly-- they want to make a difference in the cat community here in LA. And they are doing it with a TNR focused mission. Also, they have the cutest kittens and cats for adoption! read more

What a fantastic group of people! Thank for these people who care for the strays and babies on the street no one seems to notice - big hearts trying to reduce the overpopulation. THANK YOU. I got my kitten from them, she was taken out of an alley and found alone! The best way to adopt from them is to go to their events- I went to Muddy Paws in silver lake a pet friendly coffee shop. They are on Instagram, Facebook, etc. under luxepaws. read more

5 stars - Jacquie and her team of volunteer superheroes focus on trap-neuter-return for LA cats in the Los Feliz-Silverlake-Echo Park area. They also rescue/foster kittens for adoption. I highly recommend working with Luxe Paws if you want to foster/ adopt! Jacquie was great & easy to work with when I adopted 2 kittens last year. I neither owned or lived with cats/pets before, and had so many questions. Jacquie was supportive, honest, patient, knowledgeable, and resourceful. One time, she was out trapping kittens after work, and couldn't answer my questions, so she made sure a foster mom was available by phone to help me. They are thorough with the care they give to all the rescues. Their tireless work is inspiring and all the neighboring vets & pet stores light up when they hear that your kittens are from Luxe Paws. All the feels. All the love for Luxe Paws. They will help you be the best cat mom/dad! Thank you for all that you do! read more

Our cat was likely killed by a coyote. I found her collar in a backyard. There was no concrete evidence but I made the conclusion by discovering unpleasant things nearby. With over a week of pure depression, we got a few tips she may be alive nearby. We tried hard to locate her, but even the slight idea made us feel better. Even if it wasn't true. We wanted to try. Upon learning of our cats disappearance, Luxe Paws became extremely controlling and began harrasing my girlfriend regarding the cat. She showed up at our house, made my girlfriend cry and made things overall worse. There was no reason for this, it was so selfish and felt controlling. Please leave us alone. read more

Great group! I fostered and ultimately adopted my kitten from Luxe Paws. So did a friend and my trainer. Luxe Paws fills a need we don't talk about in LA - helping stray and feral cats living on the streets. Next time you see a kitty outside, please stop and think. Is that cat really "allowed" outside - or is it lost? Is it fixed? Follow LP's Instagram or FB feed and you'll see them rescue lost pets, save strays from coyotes and get medical care to injured/starving cats. Their core focus is TNR (trap, neuter, release) and they foster and find homes for rescued kittens. For every cat they 'fix' LP prevents litters of kittens from being brought to LA Animal Services, which still euthanizes for over-population and lack of staff for bottle-feeding. My little guy now has a great life, and I have a great [tiny panther] kitten thanks to Luxe Paws. read more

If the ancient Egyptians were right and cats are tiny gods, then Luxe Paws is doing the Lord's work. They rescue kittens off the street and provide TNR for feral cats. It's not easy -- and the cat population has exploded in the past year. They are selfless, dedicated, and all around lovely human beings. How do I know this? I've adopted two cats from them. Two kittens rescued off the street that now sleep at the bottom of my bed. They charged a small fee and it covered vaccines and fixing. Also I've been able to reach out to Jenn and Luxe Paws for advice on diet and vets -- they know their stuff and are here for the cats. Adopt. Donate. Foster. Every little bit helps read more

Such a great organization that is focused on helping kitties in need! Their dedication is admirable.

A lovely transaction! I got a furry love ball without any hesitation or headache. Adoption was smooth, easy and lovely. If you are thinking of adopting don't think twice, all types of cats/kittens need a home. The streets are unsafe for this tiny furry awesome cats and kittens. I was in contact with Janae and Jaquie and trying to get a live creature a home was their priority, no pressure, no bother. Only what matters. I was worried about having to deal with humans to be able to adopt and this was the entire opposite. They trusted me and I was happy to help. I started out with the idea of helping out fostering a kitten and see if it worked out with my 15 year old grumpy cat. It worked out and now I'm a proud mom. Leading my way to get him neutered and answering any questions I had, as well as letting me be independent. Please! If you are thinking of adopting or could foster give them a call! read more

We have adopted two cats from Luxe Paws and have never had a better experience!! Luxe Paws is a dream to adopt from! They should probably raise their adoption fee also, it's really low. They are attentive and connected and I still send pictures of our kids to them to this day ! They make sure everything is a good fit and don't just disappear as soon as you take a kitty home. On a personal level TNR is really important to me and I LOVE that luxe paws is committed to saving cats and kittens off of the streets, instead of pulling from shelters. And committed so fully to spay neuter. It's also cool that they're a local group pulling from local streets. I know the intersection my cats came from and that is real local impact. I've also fostered cats for them a few times and can't say enough good here either. As soon as I realized my cat needed a breather, I was able to move the kitten I had out. Another time I had kittens for a long term foster situation and they were super attentive and didn't just forget we existed. Luxe paws is on top of everything. They are truly above the crowd when it comes to adoption and making a real difference. I will always support luxe paws ! read more

I was first introduced to Lux Paws through social media 3 years ago and I saw the amazing things they were are doing to save cats and kittens on the streets of LA. At first I volunteered my massage services at their events to raise money for treatments. Soon after I then adopted my little kitten Molly and from there I've actually helped in a couple TNR's in my neighborhood. The Luxe Paws organization is absolutely wonderful and the people that volunteer for them are equally wonderful. They truly care, not a day goes by that there's not an update about a cat that's been rescued, adopted, fostered or an event to raise money for the organization. They have saved thousands of cats on the streets of LA read more

Luxe Paws - My Molly who I found through Luxe Paws - Pet Adoption Near Me

I come from a family very involved in animal rescue on the east coast, but when I moved to LA I found my apartment was surrounded by stray - unfixed cats that were continuously having new litters of sick and starving kittens. With no connections to animal rescue out here, I began calling around to many organizations looking for help with TNR (trap- neuter- return). Every place that I called either could not help, would not help, or their hoop jumping processes to TNR made it was impossible for your everyday working person to do any good for these stray animals. Finally, someone recommended I contact LUXE PAWS, and in no time we fixed 30 cats on my block and were able to find loving, forever homes for some. Since then, I have donated, volunteered, fostered, and TNR'd, an enumerate amount of cats and kittens with the help of Luxe Paws and it's volunteers. In a time were so called "non-profit" organizations are being exposed for scandals, and the complete mismanagement of their donations; often filling the pockets of there CEO's instead of going to where the money is really needed, we need to be extremely scrupulous of whom we donate to, and need to put our time/money/ efforts where it will do the MOST good. (and if you're taking time to read yelp reviews, I'm sure you are the kind of person who knows it's necessary to do the research and be informed) The beauty of LUXE PAWS is that when you adopt or foster with them, you are not just saving ONE animal. Due to the tireless efforts of their selfless & dedicated volunteers, and the innovative community-based system in which they work, a SINGLE adoption can save lives exponentially. Your adoption, foster, or donation will free up manpower and funding, so that LUXE PAWS can continue helping so many others. I really can't say enough good things about this organization and encourage everyone out there to support them in anyway you can. **Should be mentioned that, like any quality rescue, they are careful about to whom they adopt and will always make sure that the animal(s) will have a safe and secure forever home. read more

I am a dog rescuer so I know nothing about cats. I was called in one day to help 3 dogs and two cats that had been abandoned when their owner had packed up and moved away and just left them behind. I sprung into action and and found someone to take the dogs, and luckily the cats too. We were able to get all three dogs and one cat into my car to take them to the vet. When it came time to put the second cat in the crate, she panicked, scratched me bloody, and bolted! It had looked like perhaps she had been nursing, but the neighbor kids said they had taken all of her kittens. We looked and looked and could not find the missing cat or any kittens. The next day, the person who had originally reported the abandoned animals to me called and said "I saw the cat! And a kitten!!" And I immediately thought..."Great!! But now what? How do I catch them???" We tried and tried and finally realized we needed to bring in the big guns. I saw a recommendation for Luxe Paws in my neighborhood group. I called and left a message, which was returned right away by a lovely lady named Jackie, who jumped right in and found one of her volunteers to come and set up a trap. Jonathan sat out all day with his trap, waiting to get both momma and kitten. He finally managed to get mom, (which then Jackie had to set up an appointment at FixNation for me to get her vaccinated and spayed). But no sign of baby! She had disappeared! We waited three days and thought she was gone, or worse. But the kitten was finally spotted! He set up another trap and WHAM! We got her!! Not sure how she survived on her own for three days as she was only 5 weeks old. But she did. I was fostering mama and when kitten was brought to her, it was an exciting reunion for everyone! Mama and baby kitten have been adopted into a wonderful home together, but I will say that without the knowledge and determination and professionalism of Jackie and Jonathan and Luxe Paws, that reunion would have only been a fantasy in my dreams, instead of the joyful reality that it was. Luxe Paws is an incredible organization! If you are a cat lover, make this your first choice for fostering, rescuing, or adopting!! (p.s. - If you use them for anything, please remember to donate to them too. Non-Profits such as this one rely on the kindness of others!) read more

Luxe Paws is a fabulous group. I've had the pleasure to volunteer with them at some of their adoption events and was very impressed by their unique approach to adoptions and interacting with the community. In addition to holding adoption events at pet stores which is normally the tradition, they also hold events at local businesses such as book stores and specialty boutiques. Luxurious little kittens displayed in cute antique bird cages, complimentary wine spritzers, and baked goodies offered at reasonable prices to support their rescue efforts are just a few examples of the original approach to adoptions that this community group is taking. I've also had the opportunity to get to know some of the founding members and more about their philosophy. They feel that one's very own community is where the most impact can be made. They are concentrating on the Silver Lake area but are happy to give advice to anyone who asks and they do their best to connect people with others in their own areas. I like that Luxe Paws is trying to get as many animals off the street before they make it through a shelter's door and they place a huge emphasis on fixing our community cats and dogs so they don't continue to produce unwanted animals. If we each did our part to make sure the animals in our own neighborhood are spayed and neutered and that all adoptable animals find good homes then the pet population problem in L. A. would start to improve. I look forward to volunteering at more Luxe Paws adoption events in the future. Not only are they fun but you really feel you are making an impact. If you are in the Silver Lake area and care about helping animals, then definitely make it a point to volunteer. If you live in another area of L.A. consider helping out at an event so you can create a similar program in your own community. read more

Jacquie and Luxe Paws do such good work, 5 stars is not enough. When I heard a kitten crying outside my bedroom window one night, Jacquie came over the next day and set out a trap to get him. Bret Michaels the kitten was rescued, and is now happily in his forever home. Throughout the entire process, Jacquie was there to answer every question I had, and found him his forever home when it turned out my cats were just not having it with another kitten. We got our new best friend Sherbert a few months ago through Luxe and it was a very easy and pleasant process. Sherbert was staying with lovely foster parents who welcomed us into their home for our adoption meeting and let us visit for a while to play with him and get to know him. They shared what they had learned about him over the weeks they had him, and sent really cute photos of him so we could get a further glimpse into his personality and goofiness. It's reassuring to know that Luxe has a team of awesome fosters who provide safe and comforting homes while they transition from life on the street to life indoors. We met several fosters who all loved cats and showed tremendous enthusiasm and good will toward them and to us as potential adopters. Once we gave word that we wanted to adopt our boy we were able to take him home within a short time, and Luxe sent us a really handy cat care guide with some helpful referrals for vets and other services. We found our awesome pet sitter on there and we shop at the pet store from the list too. They equip you with what you need to be an informed and ready pet guardian. They will have your back! Luxe is doing challenging, important work with TNR and rescue, and they need loving homes for so many cuties and deserve our support. If you're thinking about adopting (and contributing to the community) this is a great way to do it. What a fantastic organization. I contacted them yesterday to inquire about rehoming my parents' cat and Jackie was the young lady who spoke to me. Luxe Paws is the Sh*T! These people have such a genuine love for Animals, it's inspiring to experience their dedication to finding a good home for these adorable lost souls. I dealt mostly with Jacquie, what a sweetheart. To me, if there was a choice to afford herself a big expensive meal out or feed 10 cats and dogs I believe she would hands down go hungry. Jacquie and her staff make me want to be a better human being. I donated, please donate also! Food and medical for these helpless little lives isn't free. I also found the most adorable, well-mannered cat from them. Frankly, the most lovable adult cat I ever Adopted. GOD BLESS LUXE PAWS! read more

This organization is absolutely amazing. I have actually fostered with them a few times, for four kittens. And have adopted 3 from them. They work so hard to trap, spay/neuter and release, which no one else is doing in LA. They make sure to get funding for medical issues with their kitties, one of mine needed his eyes removed and they were able to fund the entire surgery and all associated costs. The people at Luxe Paws truly care about animals, making them safe and healthy and happy in a home. My hb and I adopted our cat through Luxe and are thrilled with the process and our sweet, delightful kitty. Luxe rescued kitty. Luxe provided caring foster care for her. When wanting to adopt a kitty as an addition to a home that already included a dog, Luxe Paws made everything as easy and seamless as possible: advising us on a kitty that was the best match for our household, handling the spaying of the kitty and picking her up at the foster house and then delivery to our home. They also offered helpful tips on an easier introduction to the dog, as well as follow-up pointers and check-ins on progress. I have been fostering kittens for 7 years, the last two with Luxe Paws. With previous agencies there was plenty of love for kittens but no attempt to solve the root of the problem: cat overpopulation. Luxe Paws goes right to the heart of the issue and works to spay/neuter feral cats in the community. While Trap Neuter Return is the emphasis, some cats on the street have been dumped by negligent owners. Luxe Paws does its best to place these friendly animals, and any kittens found, in good homes. If you are looking for a loving animal that will be grateful to get to curl up next to you, please contact Luxe Paws. If you are interested in fostering, (I can promise you, it is rewarding) please contact Luxe Paws. Luxe Paws is a godsend, doing the lord's work. And I'm not a religious person. Jacquie and her team of volunteers are unrelenting in their mission to help as many cats (and sometimes dogs) as possible. Not only do they work tirelessly to help needy animals, they are also focused on the under-rated work of TNR (trap, neuter, release). It's a crime that they don't have city funding for the work they do. Why do we have so many needy kittens? Because we don't have a system in place for TNR. So for now, thank you Luxe Paws. read more

After the passing of my dear old kitties, I wanted to heal my heart by fostering cats in need. I was lucky that a co-worker directed me to Luxe Paws and the rest is history. Jacquie and her volunteers are a true powerhouse. It's amazing what they're able to accomplish with such a small team and with little funding, covered only by adoption fees and fundraisers organized with kind-hearted small local businesses. I've been following their work for almost a year now. My heart is healed thanks NOT ONLY to my two adorable, healthy, cuddly pair of kitten siblings adopted and the handful I've fostered through Luxe Paws, but because of SO much more. No judgement intended here, but I don't know of any other shelter or rescue organization addressing the core of the homeless cat issue AND running a localized adoption network. On-the-ground through TNR and working at the advocacy level to increase public funding for spay/neuter. I don't know how they - Jacquie in particular - do it. I just know that I'm proud to support their efforts every way I can. I've had nothing but great experiences working with Jacquie and 100% recommend Luxe Paws to any responsible friends and colleagues. read more

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me out. What a truly compassionate organization.

I love Luxe Paws--they have a great philosophy and attitude towards animals and people! There are some adoption places in LA that are really judgmental or are a little bit out to lunch, but Luxe Paws is very down to earth. Jacquie will work with you until you get the match that is right for you. Adopted a great cat from Luxe Paws. Took the cat home from the foster family for a two week trial but he fit right in with our other cat almost immediately. Decided to adopt him within a few days. Paid more than the adoption fee, the extra being a donation to Luxe Paws. Told we'd receive the cats medical records and info on getting him chipped. Have asked several times for the records over a several week period, been promised the records, yet nothing. Guess he'll have to start over with vaccines.
