We adopted our sweet little pup from Lange Foundation. The adoption coordinator was so kind and helpful. We came to Lange and they let us spend some time with Leia (formerly Chiquita) in their fenced in patio. It was love as first site. Leia came with a little care package of food and toys. She was up to date on vaccines and spayed. Highly recommend to everyone looking to adopt

Got my Mochi from there last year. The adoption process was very smooth and the staff there is super friendly. We love Mochi and are grateful to have her in our family! Thank you Lange Foundation for helping bringing us together.

We didn't get accepted to adapt a cat because we selected their on line questionary as indoor and outdoor.

We adapted our cat from this place 16 years ago and Kuchulu was with us until he died from nasal cancer 4 months ago. We decided to send an application for an appointment to adapt a kitten. After one month, they replied to me saying that they won't be able to give us an appointment since that Saturday is already fully booked but still appointments are available next Saturday and asked me to register again through on line application. I felt odd because they asked me to turn in the application which means my name and address everything again even if they emailed me and inform me that next Saturday would be available. Why they couldn't just make my appointment for the next Saturday with the email reply?? Then, after turning in the new application, we received a reply saying that we were not accepted because we answered that our cat would stay indoor and outdoor and their policy don't allow their cat to go outside. We are surprised at the such a quick dismiss reply without any discussion of meaning of outdoor. We replied the email saying we didn't mean to keep our cat outside, but in our patio of our apartment. They asked us to send them pictures of patio, so we replied them that we don't want to bring our cat to our patio If cat needs to be indoor, we will keep the cat indoor. Then they sent me back this reply. It is so heart breaking. We lost our cat after 16 years nasal cancer 4 months ago and we were really looking forward to adapting a kitten. I cried. I shouldn't have even tried to come back to this heartless people. Ps. Automatic dismissed if outdoor is selected online questions. No chance to change nor negotiate. No exception!!!

This is Trouble! I adopted him from the Lange Foundation and he is everything to me.

Lange Foundation is amazing!! I have adopted several cats from them and they have always been incredible. They care deeply for the animals and ensure they go to good homes, so if you're looking for a dog or cat from a REPUTABLE rescue, check them out online and fill out an adoption application!

We really wanted to adopt a kitten. A small apartment meant we thought one cat would be just right. Then we fell in love with a calico cat at Lange and we were told it was best to adopt two! Little did we know that our hearts (and happiness) would expand exponentially as Lange helped us adopt her sister and playmate! We received so much support and guidance. Ever grateful for the love and care of these girls.

The Lange Foundation gave me my beautiful kitty Tortuga! The adoption staff were so kind and educated me on his past injury and how to best care for him in the future. I'm so grateful for the work they do in finding these animals forever homes!

The best shelter to adopt your doggy or kitty from! This is a great foundation that focuses on rescuing animals that are injured or at risk from kill shelters in Los Angeles. I got my first kitten here when I was 12 and she's still going strong in her old age. This place also has a yearly estate sale in the summer-time. Absolutely great finds. They have an Instagram for there estate sale you can check out! I always end up buying something on my way out. Seriously great prices and finds. Very lowkey.

Lange Foundation Estate Sale 2019 Last evening's VIP Preview Party, a first look at what this year's event is all about, did not disappoint! Wonderful organization! I found the best cat in the world (aren't they all?) there in 2008 and still so grateful they save my little guy from a shelter. He is my best friend and at 13, has lived with me in 3 different states and 5 cities. They also are known to pull the old and sick animals which really makes me happy. Please adopt, don't shop for your next pet!

Not only did I get the most amazing cat ever, I got it from the friendliest, most compassionate rescue ever!!! Had I not come across Squiggy, formerly known as Meeko, I'd still be looking for a perfect match for my Noodles. Once I made contact, Megan responded to me immediately. I was able to get an appointment to meet Squiggy that same week. By the end of the week, their decision was made and I was the luckiest gal in the world. I drove all the way from downtown Long Beach and it was worth every minute in traffic. Everyone I met was very personable and kind. They took fabulous care of Squiggy before he was put up for adoption, having a few teeth removed due to horrible gingivitis. I've since been able to reduce the gingivitis from bright red to a pleasant pink, so it's almost gone, and his breath no longer stinks. I was pleasantly surprised by the adoption fee, considering the breed and expensive dental work he had. As soon as I am able, I will be donating to the Lange Foundation as I know for a fact they are using their money in all the right places. Their facility is clean and the cats have an awesome play area. The visiting room was also comfy and clean. I didn't go any further into the facility but what I saw, I really liked. Squiggy & Noodles ended up being fast friends, so I can't thank the Lange Foundation for selecting me to be Squiggy's new mom. I will love & spoil him for his evermore.

We are a family of color. I pay close attention to tone, body language, and how staff choose to speak to us. The difference was obvious the moment we arrived. We came to look at cats. Before we were allowed to even view the cages, an older woman with a Russian accent immediately began firing off intrusive qualifying questions. The final one was, "Well are you even ready to adopt now?" I chuckled and replied that it all depended on how the visit went. She followed up by counting our children out loud. "Well I see you got one, two, three kids." I explained politely that not all of them were ours (I am the headmaster of a school serving autistic children). She responded by clapping me on the back twice without permission and saying, "I see you already got enough." This is often used to 'shame' people of color. At age 50, I only have two children of my own and the income to support them; I think perhaps I should get parenting advice from a more qualified source. Do not touch people without consent. Do not talk down to them. Do not try to establish superiority through sarcasm or volume. I walked away while this gross weirdo continued prattling on. We stayed close to an hour. No one asked if we wanted to meet any animals. No one offered information. No one showed interest in helping us adopt. When my wife asked a male staff member about the likely size of a litter of very young puppies, his response was irritation and "I have no idea." Size matters when adopting a dog. Acting annoyed by a basic question reflects poorly on the staff and on the organization. This shelter looks good on the surface, however the staff needs to understand that their behavior makes them look like buffoons and makes the organization that employs them look tacky. The treatment we received did not match the mission they advertised. Clean facility. Unacceptable conduct. We'll stick to our regular shelter.

From the moment I walked in, I was warmly welcomed by the kind and knowledgeable staff who took the time to thoughtfully explain the fostering and adoption process. The one staff member even gave us a mini tour to see their dog Simba who was the only one available for fostering at the moment. All the others were only available for adoption. Unfortunately, since I am only looking for small to small-medium sized dogs there wasn't a match for me yet. But it was so great to see the row of dogs held in this warmly heated section of the center who all had mini lifted cot like beds to rest on instead of having to lay on the cold floor. The facility was so clean, well-maintained, and heated, providing a comfortable environment for the animals, who were kept safe and warm inside this wonderful non-profit, no-kill center. The kitties are displayed right by the entrance so that your heart can view and connect with animals as soon as you walk inside their facility. I learned so much during my visit and felt inspired by the care and dedication of everyone involved. During my visit, they didn't have any small to small-medium sized dogs that I hoped for but I hope to go back frequently to check on their on going availability for incoming dogs to come. Crossing fingers. Overall, it was a splendid experience, and I'm excited to return soon with the hope of finding the perfect dog to adopt.

Not sure what happened during the M&G but suddenly "he was not ready for a foster or adoption" after I said in person I would love to start the foster trial. They said they had to ask the trainer if he can even go to a foster since he suddenly wasn't ready for one? Only for them to tell me three days later he is being sent to a DIFFERENT foster. They noted he is very well trained and even made me commit to follow-up training sessions and then suddenly said he isn't trained enough despite them showing me his skills during the appt. They also CONTINUE to post him on their IG stating he is ready for adoption. It's all fake. The dog had a bad foster before and they are trying to blame it on me when it is clearly just something personal they have against me (for no reason). Our family adopted our cat, Salsa, from Stray No More about three years ago. Her story broke my heart, she had been tossed in a garbage can outside of a Petco, and the employees brought her to Stray No More, who immediately stepped up to care for her. At the time, we weren't sure if we were ready to adopt another cat, so the rescue let us take her in as a foster-to-adopt. I think this is such a thoughtful option for people who want to "test the waters" before making a lifelong commitment. It didn't take long for Salsa to show us she was already home. My son fell in love with her spunky energy and mischievous streak right away, and we knew we couldn't imagine our home without her. Three years later, she's still keeping us on our toes with her "tortitude" and making us laugh daily. I'm so grateful that Stray No More was there for Salsa when she needed it most, and now a volunteer, I've seen firsthand how much care and intention they put into their adoption process. Coffee is decent, but you didn't come here for the coffee. You came to spend time with flurry friends. Prices are very reasonable as well. You can't go wrong if you just want a couple hours away from the busy day and be accompanied by some very friendly cats! If you are looking to adopt a cat they do work with KittenRescue so you are in wonderful hands. The process is smooth, quick, and just overall a very pleasant experience.
