I received a follow-up from Vickie just one day after submitting an application for an adorable husky puppy. After reviewing my responses, she felt I might be more suited for one of her other husky pups (litter mate). My boyfriend and I set up some time to meet "Sookie" a few days afterwards and immediately fell in love. We took her home the same day and it has been one of the best decisions we've ever made! Vickie is very well aware of the needs of each of her rescues and takes the time to carefully vet each application, then match them with the perfect furbaby. She truly cares for each of her rescues and wants the home they go to, to be their forever home. Honestly, I've read some of the negative reviews and it would do you well to ignore them. There is nothing more important to Vickie than making sure these furbabies find their perfect home. (If you want a husky puppy, but live in a tiny apartment and work 100 hours per week, it's probably not a good fit.) She's exceptionally kind, reasonable, and responsive. I've lived with or owned dogs for pretty much my entire life, yet have still been able to learn so much from Vickie, especially during training. Eloise is a wonderful rescue and I am SO grateful that Kaia is part of our family. I don't (nor do I want to) remember what it was like without her.

Eloise Rescue is amazing, vickie really cares about her fur babies with her entire world. she only wants what is best for them, and she knows her stuff. she is super helpful even after adoption and answers any questions or concerns you may have. couldn't be more thankful as our doggie cali is the sweetest thing in the world.

We adopted our dog, Scout, from Eloise pet rescue and are so grateful for the care she was given, by Vickie, before she came into our lives. Vickie clearly loves these dogs and has dedicated her life to helping them find loving homes. She is a one woman show and if you have a hard time reaching her, I would recommend calling her, as she always gets back. I will say that the process is not the easiest way to get a dog, however, we were given so much information about Scout's health and personality before we adopted her, that made life so much easier once we got her. I especially appreciate Vickie's willingness to help, even after we received our dog. The adoption fees cover vet visits, blood work, microchipping, spay/neuter costs, plus the dogs are cared for with a dedicated foster family before you receive them.

    Teddy!

We are so grateful for Eloise Rescue! Because of the amazing work they're doing helping place these loving pups with the right humans we were able to get our Teddy! Vickie is great at helping you understand the journey and story of the pup you're looking to adopt and she always has THEIR best interest at heart! So blessed by Vickie and the amazing Fosters and Vet care that help make Eloise Rescue possible! Please don't buy, adopt and save a life and change their lives and yours!

    This sweet angel.

I adopted my pup through Eloise Rescue about 2 months ago. Because the dog had been fostered, Vickie and her team knew everything about her personality before I adopted her and were aware of her quirks and love-able antics. This really helped lower my anxiety and enjoy my first experience adopting a pet. Finding the right match for the dogs is of utmost importance to Vickie and in my case, she found the perfect match.

I can't say enough wonderful things about Eloise Rescue and Vicki specifically. Vicki brought me the love of my life, Mac. Vicki goes above and beyond to save precious lives. If you're looking for your furever friend adopt from Eloise Rescue. She truly cares about each and every one of her rescues.

A few years ago, a friend of mine adopted a dog from here - a beautiful tripod chihuahua mix. She was happy with the adoption process and loves her little princess. I was having dinner next door and stopped in to check the store out. As expected, the place is meticulously perfect and the décor is bougie with lots of cute plush dog toys & merch. Off to the side is a section where the fur babies that are up for adoption reside in posh play pens with white picket fences. There is also a nice area on the rooftop where potential adopters can spend quality time with their future fur baby. The staff here are very friendly, and I got to meet one of the pups named Meatball as he was on his way out for a walk. Thank you LVP for your dedication to helping our furry friends. *Metered street parking

My second experience was terrible. After my puppy was killed while with me on leash by a reckless driver, I later returned to L&L to look for a new baby. Different set of employees, and both my nephew and I were shocked that one of them seemed to blame me for my puppy being killed. He was rude, insensitive to the circumstance, and he did all he could to throw up roadblocks to helping me. He was an expressionless jerk who had zero empathy or professionalism. I contacted the manager about this, and though she three times promised to call me back, she never did. This is heartless behavior for a place that is supposed to be doing good. I will never go back to that place again. The only reason this is not a 1-star review is because my first experience with them was good. That appears to have been an anomaly. I adopted a pup from Best Friends West LA, which I cannot recommend enough.

There is a reasonable adoption fee of $150 that covers medical care, food, and other expenses. Also included is neuter/spay. You can fall in love with a pet online, like I did! I came across a photo and profile of the world's cutest kitten (see photo) on petfinder.com, but you can also see them at billfoundation.org. I filled out an adoption application and spoke on the phone with the adoption coordinator as well as the foster mom. After approval, both of these women hand-delivered Marcello, driving all the way from the Valley to my Culver City pad. They gave me some food, bowls, and a few of his favorite toys. His sister came along to say goodbye to her brother! I was tempted to adopt her as well, but I couldn't at the time. It was evident that they cared for him very much. They checked up on us with a phone call a few weeks later. When I took Marcello for his first vet check up, the vet said he was incredibly clean and healthy for a former street cat (he was born on the streets!)-- no eye gook or other infections that are common with shelter or adoption agency kittens. He was quite impressed with his adoption agency. A month after his adoption the foundation contacted me to make sure I was neutering him soon. I was able to take him to their vet at no cost to me. My kitty was fixed in 90210! What a great orginazation doing great work for homeless animals! These are animals that may have otherwise been picked up by animal services and to a shelter.
