I see the same frames over and over again online but Eyelab has a huge variety of whatever style you may be looking for. I brought in a 12 year old pair of Bvlgari glasses that are my favorite. They have very unique arms and they don't make them anymore. I was afraid they couldn't be fixed after all the abuse I put them through, but Eyelab took care of them in about 5 minutes. The price they quoted me for progressive lenses was extremely reasonable, even without insurance. Give them a try and you'll be impressed!

Same order only sunglass dark. I bought frames for each pair. I went in with my prescription and my glasses were ready within a week. My total was less than $400! The sales staff is exceptional. They are all patient, knowledgeable and have years of experience. A special shout out to Jazz who went above and beyond. Arlen, the manager understood my situation quickly and took care of us personally. I can't say enough about Costco's quality, selection and prices - but most of all their people. It started off a little meh for me as there is only street parking and as I am disabled, the walk was a little hard for me. BUT the service totally made the walk worthwhile. I did pay extra for the eye X-ray thingie but that was so much better than getting my eyes dilated. I'm diabetic as well and I have to get my eyes checked yearly to ensure that my eyes are ok. This was a much easier exam than getting the dilation. Much easier and much safer for me. Then I got taken to the back and the optometrist was great as well. She recommended some things and talked with me about some other issues as well. She also told me that the pores on my eye lids were getting gunky and to start doing warm eye compresses at night and it has been helping. Then the nicest very helpful lady... I wished I had gotten her name... Helped me to find new glasses. She was so helpful in bringing glasses to me and looking up colors for me and just being overall extremely helpful. Normally I'm used to being told, go and look and see what glasses you like... Instead here, she assisted me with everything which was very much appreciated. Overall, the parking sucked but I guess that's LA.... Lol BUT the service was amazing and I think I might've finally found my permanent optometrist!!

My experience was similar as last time. They are not transparent with the fees they charge you until after you swipe your credit card. I booked an appointment over the phone and was told that my eye exam is $30 along with a $75 contacts fitting fee. My insurance covers my eye exam, so I should only be charged $75. This additional retinal exam was not clarified over the phone. If this were to be clear, then I would have opted out because I have no need for this. I was overcharged. I called AND texted to make things right and they come up with excuses that I signed a form that I never did sign and that they did call me. Transparency is this office's biggest weakness. As a patient here, you're simply a paying customer who's only valued for your business versus your overall wellbeing.

My toddler daughter needed glasses and we already had a prescription from her pediatric Ophthalmologist. I was searching for a place closer to home that carried toddler frames, because the recommendations from her pediatric Ophthalmologist at the Dohney eye institute in Pasadena were all in SGV. I called New Vision specifically asking about frames for my 20-month old and after being satisfied with their answers, made an appointment. However, their selection was disappointing and they didn't have the strap-on toddler frames, as I was told on the phone. I went with the only viable option reluctantly because I wanted to get the glasses and didn't want to waste more time. I gave them the prescription (in paper form) and they had trouble with their scanner so told me they'd give it back to me when we picked up the glasses. I asked if my daughter needed to be present, and they said yes. When glasses were ready, they texted me at 3:48 Friday asking me to make an appointment, and said they were closing at 4:15 and reopened on Monday. Had I been notified even a couple hours earlier, I could have rearranged my schedule instead of waiting until Monday. So that was disappointing. Finally when picking them up, my daughter tried them on but they didn't really do anything else so not sure why my daughter needed to be present or why I needed to make an appointment. And they also didn't have the paper prescription that I had been promised. The person giving me the glasses made zero effort and just told me how easy it is to request it again from the ophthalmologist office. I obviously know this. This just underscored to me that things aren't communicated properly about patient requests.

I called today and I was able to get a same day apt & the receptionists helping me over the phone were very helpful. The exam was quick & easy, I've been there before so didn't need all the exams to be explained. Everyone was helpful with answering questions and getting me in & out of my apt in a timely manner. The frames were of poor quality, seemingly sourced cheaply from China. At the time, I didn't know what the going rate was, and since I knew her personally, I felt embarrassed to question the price. So, I paid the amount, trusting her and not expecting to be taken advantage of. Recently, I had an eye exam at another optometrist office (this exam was $85- no additional charges) and the doctor informed me that my eyes are fine for over-the-counter reading glasses, and I didn't need prescription lenses. Given that I have a +1.50 prescription, this made me realize I was likely overcharged for something I didn't need, which is deeply disappointing. I would not recommend this practice to anyone and advise others to be cautious when seeking services here.
