American Vision sets the gold standard for exceptional customer service. I had my sunglasses refitted with prescription lenses, and after hours of searching, Luis offered the best price by far -- with a turnaround time of just one day. What stood out even more was Luis's honesty and instinct. He didn't try to oversell me; instead, he had a real knack for understanding exactly what I was looking for. I'll absolutely be returning to American Vision for all my eyewear needs. read more

I absolutely have to recommend this place to anyone hunting for stylish and affordable glasses! If you're worried about the price, don't be there's even a down payment option! How awesome is that?! I walked in needing lens replacements and left with perfectly adjusted glasses, brand new lenses, AND a free case along with a cleaning wipe! Talk about a fantastic experience! I can't wait to buy frames next ! read more

These guys are amazing! My frames broke and I needed glasses right away. Everywhere else I checked wanted $250+ for same-day frames and lenses, which I didn't have the time or money for. These guys came up with a creative solution-- they trimmed my existing lenses to fit into a new pair of frames. All I had to pay for was the frames! The whole process took about 20 minutes, and I still had the rest of my Saturday free. Super friendly, honest, and professional service. This is definitely my new go-to place. Thank you so much! read more

Finally found an optical shop with excellent service! Stylish, affordable, and high-quality frames. Huge thanks to Luis--attentive, knowledgeable, and kind. Highly recommend! read more

Here to add to the other reviews that Luis gives excellent customer service! I had gone to a couple other places beforehand and wasn't getting the help I needed. He took time to help me find the right frames and to explain everything I needed to know about lenses in detail. I really appreciate all the help and I highly suggest this place if you're looking for a new pair of glasses or need any adjustments! read more

Found this place when I needed same day eye glasses. I urgently needed a pair for the next day and I chose this place because it was near by. but I was pleasantly surprised by how friendly and helpful Luis was. I chose a pair of frames for 80 dollars and with the same day service on my single vision lenses the total came out to 190. The prescription was spot on. The previous glasses I ordered from a random company were filled with the same prescription but made me feel like they were wrong; with American vision the headaches I had and eye strain I was experiencing were gone, I plan to come back for some sunglasses. read more

American Vision on Van Nuys Blvd is the place to go for same day glasses! I needed new glasses asap and Luis helped me pick out the perfect frames. I have a very high index RX. It has always taken 2+ weeks to get new glasses made. I am thrilled that my new glasses were ready in just a few hours. Even if you don't need same day service, do yourself a favor and go here. Friendly and helpful customer service, a large eyeglass frame selection and quality craftsmanship made on-site in their own lab. I will definitely be a repeat customer. Thank you so much! read more

We went in on a Sunday because my sister had broken her glasses and was Mr. Magoo-ing all over the place. We found this place because it was close-by and they had a huge selection of (no name) frames to choose from that were extremely affordable. We also didn't have a current prescription with us but had brought in the broken pair and they were able to pull a prescription from those. After picking out a frame we were told they would be ready in an hour (AMAZING!) so we went to Target in the meantime and they called within 40 minutes to let us know the glasses were ready! (EVEN MORE AMAZING!) The gentleman that helped us was very patient (my sister is 15 and super picky) and really friendly! Out the door we paid $100 flat. We would definitely go back! read more

They also have great name brand frames at amazing prices. I'll never shop for glasses anywhere again. In most cases, they can turn around in an hour. Shop there, you will not be disappointed.
