Firefleye Optometry 15336 Devonshire Street, Suite 4 Mission Hills, Ca 91345 To Lisa E.S Veal, O.D. and the entire staff at Firefleye Optometry, Please accept this letter as my deepest and most sincere thank you. My mother, Gina F., is n 85-year-old woman of great strength and resilience. Recently, that strength was put to the test when she suffered a terrible fall and broke her nose. It was a frightening time for our family. When it came time to replace her glasses, which were damaged in the accident, I was dreading the process. I worried about her comfort and how difficult it might be. You and your team turned that worry into a moment of genuine relief. From the moment we walked in, you treated my mother not as a patient, but as family. You handled her with extraordinary gentleness and the utmost patience, making sure she was comfortable and never rushed. Your expertise in helping her pick out new frames and lenses was remarkable. You didn't just find her a pair of glasses; you gave her back her confidence. What could have been a stressful ordeal was instead a seamless and even pleasant experience, thanks to your kindness. Your office is the epitome of what every vision care center should aspire to be: a place where professional excellence meets deep human compassion. Thank you for the exceptional care you gave to my mother, and for the peace of mind you gave to me. With profound respect and gratitude, Alex F. (Gina's son) read more

This place is truly amazing. First, Jessica made sure my insurance would cover my eye exam. She then booked my eye appointment at my convenience. Michelle greeted me at the door and got me checked in extremely quick. Jessica did my eye exam and answered every question I had since I haven't had an exam over 10+ years. Dr. Veal was amazing at her job. She made me feel so comfortable in her office. She took her time to answer all of my questions and never made me feel rushed. I 1000% will come back to see her for my yearly exams. Gio helped me pick out my new frames and he explained all the insurances coverages and my copays if I decided to choose more options. This office is truly amazing. The staff and the doctor are truly dedicated to their work. Thank you!!! read more

Doctor Veal is wonderful--knowledgeable, attentive, and truly cares for patients' well-being.

New eyeglasses fall off 90% of the time. Tried to get an appointment to to have the glasses adjusted but they are unreachable. I sent messages but no reply. Initially, when I made an appointment for eye exam, it was easy to reach them and for follow ups as well. And they would reply to my text messages or call back but after my glasses, paid in full it's been difficult to reach them and no replies at all. Where did that promised good customer service go? read more

Dr. Veal and her staff are wonderful! I was so impressed by the professionalism and the amount of care her staff demonstrates for patients. My husband (who has dementia) and myself went I. together and they were so patient and welcoming. Dr. Veal made sure to explain every single part of the exam and he left feeling well taken care of! I used to go to a shop in Valencia and it is nowhere near as detail oriented and patient friendly as this office is. Thank you Dr. Veal and staff for your customer service and positive environment! We love our glasses! read more

5 stars and beyond! Let's start at the beginning. Michelle was truly an angel. She was able to make a way for me to be seen for a rather more urgent matter. She was kind, compassionate and reassured me that a solution would be found. Indeed, there was. To spare the details but to get directly to the commendations: Dr. Veal has truly a very special and one of a kind place here at Firefly where they believe in "helping others see the light." That is profoundly what happened on my visit to her office. She went above as well as beyond to provide an extraordinary eye visit. She was attentive, thorough and naturally whimsical which was a true gem all things considered. She provided more of a holistic examination and did not seem rushed or in a hurry in any way-a rarity these days. I was more pressed for time than she and her team. So with that, I must say they have a special team there. So allow me to shout out the full office and of course my folks at the front desk who rounded out my visit on such a pleasant and high note. Giovanni and again, Michelle, muchas gracias! Les aprecio mucho! read more

Place use to be Eyecon.Had been going there fir over thirty years when it was under Dr Thall's practice. Clinic has become too corporate now.Try to sell eyecare and eye wear my wife and I felt we didn't need.Overly friendly like they have been attending too many client relation classes. Diagnosed my spouse with glaucoma.Said that it was a medical emergency and recommended a followup with an opthamologist. We did go to an opthamologist but not the one they wrote the referral to.No evidence of glaucoma was seen after two evals by the opthamologist and our new optometrist.Leaves me to believe there was some "back scratching"between the optometrist and "her good friend"the opthamologist.Drs do have a habit of writing referrals for problems they think they see and get kickbacks for phoney referrals.I worked in the medical field and have seen it happen. Also my spouse had been complaining of headaches wearing her new glasses.Came to find out that Eyecon(or Fireflye)messed up her prescription.New optometrist said after examining my wife and her glasses prescription that the lenses looked like they had been reversed.Left lense over right eye,Right lense over left eye. Don't think we will go back there. read more
