Then I got to see the optometrist. Lastly, I picked the frames and add ons. I liked the wide variety of frames they have. And they have a mirror with different lighting too. My glasses were ready in a week. There's plenty of free parking in the lot. And they keep their doors locked so you needed to ring to get in. read more

Took a brand new good quality frame to them to have my prescription put in. The replacement even commented on how nice and heavy they were. I wore them 1 day and the lense fell out. Took a closer look and the frame was broken. I called Valley Optometry for some type of resolve and was just told "sorry...nothing we can do since you didn't buy the frame here!" Not a bring the glasses in, let us look at them and maybe we can fix them enough so you can wear them for a while or any speck of remorse or attempt to provide some type of customer service moving forward. This was a $336 lesson to never do business there again! Oh and I forgot to mention when I took the frame in, I was told "Oh the company we use is very fast. We're getting glasses back in about 4 days. It took 3 weeks to get those broken glasses. I also learned when I took the glasses to two different opticians that the reason the frame broke was because the lenses were cut too big and caused the frame to crack. Also learned that they used poor quality thick plastic. Please use my experience as a cautionary tale. The worse part was the poor customer service. I feel like I was robbed!! They're response was basically oh..thats too bad but sorry...cant help you! Not even the smallest effort to resolve brand new glasses placed in their care. read more

I've been a patient of Dr K for close to 15 years when he first opened Valley Optometry in Reseda. Since then, Reseda has turned more into a location that treats patients with ocular diseases as there are several patient rooms. Dr K has treated my wife's chronic dry eyes here and since her condition has improved, we've been going to his second location, El Portal in NoHo. First discovered Dr K had opened a 3rd location as we were trying to schedule an appointment on a Friday for our annual checkup. Though Granada Hills is a bit of a drive, the quality of service is unparalleled. Each patient is warmly greeted by the staff and all will be amazed with all of the modern examination equipment. Was in/out within an hour which included the selection of a frame, measurement and ordering of customized lenses. I went to get my eyes checked after getting eye strain, and having tired eyes. Dr. Aliab helped me understand why my eyes have been dry and even went over my eye health. It felt like more than a simple check up, and I got my prescription changed slightly based on the doctor's suggestions. The staff was helpful and very quick to help me out when I walked in. Dr Aliav was very invested in how my eye health was how my vision has changed and what I can do to better care for my eyes. She was very thorough and professional the entire time. I wanted to give them chances and i feel like a consumer I've given more than one chance. I came due to high ratings and ordered sunglasses after my exam wanted contacts and was told no, due to insurance . Not only did they come a month later they came damaged and broken, i was told they were fine and i was lucky enough to see the displays were still there to compare and i was able to show them. Three months later they were finally fixed. By the time i re-asked about the contacts and sure enough i was correct and did have coverage for contacts. We were racing with time due insurance and I'm being told over and over again that i would be fine after two weeks my insurance changes. Not only have i not heard about my contacts since August 9th i always have to call about updates and the receptionist always seem frustrated, i spoke to the owner and nothing after that has changed. Such a negative experience and the lack of care from everyone has been beyond me. I have now moved away again racing with time from before and have no way of going in directly to get movement from them. I don't know what it is but such a poor negative experience overall i wouldn't recommend coming here unless ur extremely patient in waiting months for your glasses or contacts read more
