I just wanted to leave this review for this amazing Optometry. I am from South Los Angeles but this office is well worth the drive! Dr. Petrosyan is so kind and you can tell she is genuinely caring about your eye care. I am Diabetic, and once I mentioned that to her, she proceeded to do a more in depth look into my eyes to make sure everything is good and even explained what to look out for moving forward! Her receptionist Rose is a great compliment as well, great customer service. Experience overall is awesome and I definitely recommend! P.S. I've been getting so many compliments on my new glasses, Thanks again!

I was looking for an optometrist who was closer to my home and California Optometry as one of the many that popped up in the choices. I'm so glad I went with Dr. Petrosyan's office, she's so personable and makes you feel heard. I take medication that can affect my vision, and she went above and beyond with the testing and photos to keep track of my vision, the macula to be precise. The staff and office are welcoming, and to top it off, they have coffee and goodies there for their clients. I also had a follow-up appointment, and when Dr. Petrosyan realized it was my birthday, and she handed me a Starbucks gift card . She made my day.

I had a fantastic experience with Dr. Moarefi and the team at LA Sight. From the initial…read moreconsultation to the follow-up care, the level of patient care was exceptional. Dr. Moarefi takes the time to thoroughly explain every step of the procedure, ensuring you feel completely comfortable, informed, and reassured throughout the entire process. The staff is warm, professional, and attentive, making the clinic environment efficient yet relaxed. It is clear that Dr. Moarefi genuinely cares about his patients' well-being and visual outcomes rather than just rushing people through the door. My vision and overall experience exceeded expectations--I highly recommend LA Sight and Dr. Moarefi to anyone looking for top-tier eye care!

Poor patient care experience and disregard for my time. I requested a medical form to be completed,…read moreand after noticing two sections were incomplete, I called and was told by the doctor that those sections could be filled out. I drove to the office to drop off the form, only to later be told by Dr. Moarefri that a $150 fee would apply. I would have understand and respected the fee for the later, more comprehensive requests, but I was specifically told these two sections could be completed. Instead, I made an unnecessary trip based on information that was not honored. Additionally, filling out the form would've been more straightforward & less time-consuming if my medical notes were thorough to begin with. The two receptionists were not necessarily rude, but I found their responses dismissive. My medical record only stated "mild condition X," and my files contained retina photos without written interpretations. Yesterday, when I explained that I needed more information for the form, the receptionist starting with the letter M said, "Well, that's just how doctors write notes," while another said on the phone today, "It's not incomplete; the pictures are there for other doctors to interpret." These responses felt dismissive of my concern. As a patient, I should be able to understand what my medical records and images show rather than be left without an explanation of my own condition. The interpretation of my own medical images are not just exclusive to other doctors. I previously left a positive review because I had a good experience with the eye evaluation. Was it thorough? Yes. Was the patient support equally good? Unfortunately, I can't say so. I also discussed LASIK candidacy with Dr. Moarefri, and I felt my concerns were somewhat dismissed. My myopia had increased by more than 2 diopters over six years as an adult, and when I expressed concern, I was told, "That's not a big increase." I was also encouraged to proceed with LASIK without what I felt was a balanced discussion of both the benefits and risks. As a doctor, he should be aware that lasik should only be recommended once the vision has stabilized. I believe patients deserve a realistic discussion of both the potential benefits and complications. A 99% success rate doesn't mean there is zero long-term risk. You can be fine for many years but develop sight-threatening complications (such as ectasia) down the line. You just never know. For me, that uncertainty was a risk I wasn't willing to take. This is why it's important to thoroughly research and listen to different perspectives before proceeding rather than solely relying on the judgement of one doctor -- especially when they make it sound like it's all sunshine and rainbows. Other lasik doctor I consulted with was honest enough to recommend surgery once my myopia stopped progressing. This experience made me realize how important it is to find a doctor who genuinely prioritizes informed decision-making and the patient's long-term well-being rather than simply promoting a procedure. LASIK may be a good option for some people, but patients should be given the full picture and enough information to make that decision for themselves.

Positive review. 4-months Post-surgery OD:20/20 and OS: 20/15…read more I think many of you reading reviews right now are going back and forth about having vision correction surgery. Some of you might be like me and have extremely high myopia and want the vision freedom. From my experience, I researched ICL surgery since 2019. Once EVO ICL was FDA approved, I started looking for a surgeon for advice and see if I was a candidate. Before choosing IQ Laser Vision, I had gone to a different surgeon and he did say I was a EVO ICL candidate, however I was not impressed by him. I was later referred to IQ Laser Vision, where they contacted me and scheduled an appointment to see if I was a candidate. Their multiple offices made it easy for me to go meet with an advisor and doctor. However, with personal reasons, I was unable to get the surgery done during that year after that initial consult and going through their state of the art arcscan (apparently they're the only office that are using this technology to make sure to see if your eye has enough space/vault...very cool). Fast forward March 2026, I contacted IQ laser vision again in hopes that maybe I can ask them for another consult. Again, the advisor walked me through, doctors did their check up, arcscan again (still cool) and I was able to schedule my surgery. It was an honor to have Dr. Robert Lin be available to do my EVO ICL surgery. He was incredibly patient with my questions, listened to my story of researching this procedure, and I knew I was in good hands from someone who had worked on so many eyes. Perhaps my favorite part aside from the whole journey of vision correction and having 20/20 vision is that you can feel how much Dr. Lin cared for his patients. He called me personally to make sure my first day post surgery was ok. And even after 4 months later, he contacted me to make sure I was ok and how I am liking my vision. For those who are like me going back and forth about vision correction, I highly recommend making an appointment/consult to see if you can be a candidate. From there you can move forward and make that decision. I know it was later than I anticipated for myself, but I can truly say I am happy having that peace of mind that I can wake up and see, not have to worried about my glasses/contacts during a possible evacuation (fire or earthquake), and do water sport without fear of infections if I wore my contacts. That mental peace is probably the second to best part of this journey.

My eyes have always required thick lenses, which made it difficult to find certain prescribed…read moreglasses. I came here to get this corrected so I could deal with the issue. At 41, I've started to think that advancements in eye correction technology are much more promising than what has been available in the past. Surgery can be a daunting experience, especially when it involves your eyes. However, I encourage you to try the "Evo ICL" it's safe and has improved since last year. One of the best parts about this procedure is that if you're not satisfied with the results, or if a better option comes along, you can reverse the treatment. So, there's really no major risk if it doesn't work out. I qualified for the "Evo" ICL, and while I had my doubts at first, I've learned that patience is key when adjusting to a new way of seeing. Along with eye drops to aid the healing process, I found that after about three months, my eyes began to coordinate and adjust. What was once a constant dependency on glasses is now improving, and I'm starting to feel more normal without them. It's funny; I still find myself touching my face to lift imaginary glasses that no longer exist--it's just a habit! I highly recommend this option to anyone who wants to change their vision, whether it's for practical reasons, like gaming without glasses or to keep up with future technologies like AI glasses. As technology continues to advance, my previous vision issues made it difficult to enjoy some of these innovations. This procedure has truly helped me.

Unfortunately 5 stars is the maximum…read more I am a software engineer in Bio-medical Company, where quality, effectiveness and patient safety are not compromised. Although, I know the risks of Lasik procedure, I still need to know what kind of machine they use, their surgery procedure, cleanliness, clinic's mitigation and/ action in case of power failure or worse case machine failure. I know, I sound like an extremist, but I should be! After all, my eyes are important part of my body. I can't replace my eyes that easy, even if it's replaceable, it will be very costly. Remember, prevention is cheaper than treatment! It took me about a year and 7 doctor interviews before finding Dr. Rabinowitz. Trust me, I've done my research and not just yelp research, I personally go to the doctor's clinic and interview the doctors and its staffs as well. I have to make sure, doctors are specialized in Lasik Eye Surgery and aren't just doing the procedure for the money. If you're looking for a great Lasik doctor, don't just look at yelp or the clinic's website, you got to check out the place and interview the doctor. In one instance, I found this other lasik clinic in downtown LA, who claims to have the latest technology, most affordable and has the most rated reviews in yelp. Yet, going to the facility was a huge disappointment. They might have the best reviews but how many of them were actually true. I went to that clinic, it took 2 hours of my precious time (with 5 minutes of eye examination, 15 minutes of chit chat with the doctor not even related to lasik and the rest was waiting). By the end of that interview I found out that the facility was not even using a bladeless technology because the doctor does not trust computers (yet uses a laser machine). There was another instance where I found another doctor who would jump right in to schedule me for lasik after his assistant examined my eyes. But then his assistant doesn't even know the surgery procedure. His assistant is probably new, but it was a big no no for me. Then I found Cornea Eye Institute and met Dr. Rabinowitz. At first, I thought he's one of those doctors who would do surgery for the money without considering the risks on the patient. But I was wrong. I guess I interviewed too many money sucking doctors and I judged Dr. Rabinowitz so quickly. After my eye examination, Dr. Rabinowitz laid out all the risks of lasik procedure. Not only that, we gave me a brief lecture on the anatomy of the eyes and how the lasik works. Its like taking Lasik 101. It was a scary discussion, but this is something that I NEED to know (and everybody whose considering lasik needs to know). Aside from that, Dr. Rabinowitz was extra cautious. It was around end of October when I had my first appointment with him and wished to have lasik done before Thanksgiving. Although, my eyes are in-range of not having dry eyes (but in the lower level of wetness), Dr. Rabinowitz delayed my lasik surgery schedule to ensure that my eyes are in best condition as possible. This is to avoid complications. He gave me instructions on how to take care of my eyes prior the procedure. I had my surgery performed on Dec 10, 2015. Surgery was really fast. Dr. Rabinowitz, ensured me that I was comfortable as possible. He gave some relaxation medicine, so that I am calmed during the procedure. Being the "best" doctor would be an understatement; he surpassed that description and my expectation. With high quality of customer service, observing patient safety together with knowledge on this area, what else I can ask for. I was beyond blessed to have my lasik done under his care. Now I have 20/15 vision on both eyes, no halos, no dry eyes and no more four-eyes.
