The worst experience of my life. I will never go back to this office again. My review will be below, but let me first preface it with a couple things. 1) The review is not about Dr. Weiss specifically - I was seen by another doctor. I believe her name was Dr. Shih or Dr. Shin...I wouldn't know exactly cuz she didn't even introduce herself (but I'll get into that later). 2) I just moved to LA, but my previous optometrist in SD was amazing and perhaps I had high expectations of what an eye exam visit should be like. Ok, on to the review...
Alright, so I get to the office and everything was cool...the receptionist was pleasant and I started filling out a form. I'm brought into the back then seated in the eye exam chair. The optometrist walks in and it all goes downhill from there. First, no hello no smile no introduction and no exchange of any sort of salutation. She starts asking me questions and taking notes. I'm thinking to myself, dang this lady is in a bad mood...she must not like her job very much. So as the exam proceeds and we go through the visual clarity portion...i.e. she flips between lenses and I choose which is clearer, 1 or 2. She rushes through this part and I'm thinking you're flipping so fast I can't even tell which one is 1 and which is 2. But finally we get through this part, and she looks over her notes and reviews my previous prescription. She says something about adjustments will need to be made...and I say adjustments to? (I was wondering with my glasses or with my contacts...i was just looking for a little clarification) But she quickly responds with her moody inpatient and annoyed tone of voice, an adjustment to your old prescription what else. Makes me all uncomfortable.
Then I'm given a trial pair of contacts and I put them on. We go back and do the visual clarity testing again with the contacts on. And again, she's rushing through it and at one point she blurts out inconsistent...and I'm like huh?...she goes, you're being inconsistent. I'm quiet and in shock at this moment, and all I'm thinking is b**** it's not like I'm trying to fool you or mess with the exam...you ask me which is clearer and I'm telling you which one I think is clearer. If something odd or weird is occurring, you're the freaking doctor maybe you should figure it out or slow the f*** down so I'm not confused to which one is which. But at this point, I just wanted to finish up and get the f*** out.
So we finish up and she brings me out, then pretty much walks away with no "do you have any question"...not even a goodbye. She just walks off and leaves me with the front desk person. They ask if I want to check out some frames and what not, but I'm like no. In my mind, I'm thinking hell no am I going to put anymore money into this office. My experience was ridiculously rude to say the least...I've never come across service like this before. And I hope I never will again. I'm still aggravated by the experience. The one hour in that office ruined the rest of my day. Uuugghhh! read more
