LensCrafters has been my preferred destination for purchasing prescription and sunglasses for several years. On December 30th, the busiest day of the year, the location experienced an unprecedented level of congestion. I endured a wait time of approximately 30 minutes for an associate to assist me. Typically, the wait time has been between 5 and 15 minutes. Additionally, the store staff will inform customers in advance if the wait time exceeds the usual duration. Last year, I made a regrettable decision when selecting eyeglasses. My intention was to purchase the lenses and utilize the eyeglasses I had previously owned for couple years ago. This time, I explained the advantages and disadvantages of my previous purchase to Amanda. She listened attentively and provided candid feedback. Notably, the visual insurance plan I am enrolled in is not affiliated with LensCrafters (VSP). Consequently, any available discounts are highly appreciated. Amanda meticulously calculated the costs of two (2) options: purchasing only the lenses or opting for new eyeglasses. Ultimately, the most cost-effective choice was to purchase new eyeglasses, which was significantly less expensive than the previous quote provided by another associate a few weeks ago. I express my sincere gratitude to Amanda for her willingness to offer me all the potential discounts. The total cost of the gift was $337.00, making it an exceptional New Year's present. read more

I have been to this lens crafters sparingly over the years and this was the last time. I had a hard time scheduling appointments due to my schedule, so that is not the stores fault, but what I take issue with is the glasses I received. I spent in the ball park of 800$(including insurance) on the the eye exam, frames, and lenses, which included the insurance. When the store called me to tell me my glasses were ready a week later, I was excited. When I received my glasses it was downhill from there AGAIN. The store associate simply handed me my glasses and said here you go, no fitment, no adjustment, nothing. At that point, I asked to put have them fit and adjusted and was told it not necessary. I walk outside and my lenses are literally making me dizzy to the point where I can't drive. Then I get home and inspect the glasses further and the glasses arent even seated in the Ray Ban frames properly. I call the store back and get told that it's all normal and your eyes will adjust over time. I go to get a second opinion, which confirmed my initial observation....the lenses should have been adjusted properly and the fit should have been done once I got the glasses. In summary, this store is the worst representation of this company. They don't care about anything else except getting you out of the door and as a customer I felt that and now I get to with with very expensive paper weights that I can't wear because they make me dizzy and because the lenses were never seated in the frame properly are a risk of popping out...thanks lens crafters for an expensive headache. read more

This place is horrible. They don't give a crap and are just idiots. I simply needed lenses moved from one pair of frames I just picked up to a new pair. I called in a Sunday explained what I needed and they said sure come in. I specially called because it was a Sunday. I came in and they said they had no techs that could do it and to come back tomorrow. Wasted time and had to move all my plans and then they lied and couldn't do it. Came back Monday at 10:30 firing business hours and the. They tell me no tech is in til 1. I don't have this kind of time to deal with this crap. Never using them again. Rene is the only guy here who was actually helpful and knew what he was doing. He is good. The rest of this place sucks and I'd say keep away. No wonder the reviews are so bad. read more

Seems like most of these negative reviews are from people who aren't informed, no time management or want to get upset at employees doing their job when it comes to what products are available at their store location... Parking is easy, it shares it with a gym and grocery store so plenty of it. Store is spacious, clean, lit well and displays are all well kept. As for customer service 5/5. Started with a phone call to confirm my appointment a couple days before and was greeted by someone warm and knowledgeable on the other end. He also said, "thanks for calling back" genuinely so I just know some of these lower reviews are from folks who pull up to the store wondering why appointments may have changed or they are not informed they are running a little behind. Customer service works both ways friends. :) Eye exam was quick and to the point. $39 copay for the retinal scan images and they've usually got some nice discounts going on. As for after I selected my frames the woman helping me was professional and took her time to show me each kind of transitional lenses AND broke down prices for each with my specific insurance. She took her time to make sure it was ultimately what I wanted while also pitching some great advice. I'm excited to receive them soon. All in all, I set my expectations low due to some reviews but always nice to see it for yourself. I personally had a really nice experience. Would recommend! read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. During appointment I asked rep for pricing difference between progressive and regular. She said her system was coming up. I went ahead and moved forward. Was shocked at price and tried to have her explain but it didnt make sense why it was so expensive. Today I picked them up and noticed they said Rayman on the lenses. I called and was told they gave me the brand name lenses. I told them should I have been given an option. She said she didnt know. Then told me the difference was almost the same between brand name and regular at over $1000. I called another lenscrafters and the generic lenses were only $500 something. Complete rip off. Don't expect people to not complain when you are not up front with the pricing and do not give them the option to pick what they want. I've been calling back as I'm going to return and of course now they won't answer the phone. read more

I recently went to LensCrafters for my annual eye exam and was pleased that they offered the retinol imaging (for $49) in lieu of the dilation as part of the checkup so there was no downtime. The physicians and staff are friendly and there usually is immediate availability when you call to make an appointment which is great! The store is bright, spacious, and has a little seating/waiting area. It offers plenty of options for prescription glasses and sunglasses. Parking is easy to find in the plaza. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars is the bathroom cleanliness that I feel is a strong area of opportunity. read more

My glasses arrived at location on Tuesday. I called Wednesday and they confirmed arrival and that they would send out when ups came in that afternoon. By far the worst optometry and eye exam experience I've had. I was taken into a room for the initial checkup, and the equipment was filthy. The chin rest was covered in dust and small debris -- I had to ask for a wipe just to clean it before using it. That alone was already a red flag for how poorly maintained the place is. During the exam, the optometrist seemed completely disengaged and rushed. He kept knocking on the door, telling another staff member to "hurry up" because he was running behind. When it was my turn, he barely spent time with me, showed no real care, and clearly just wanted to finish and move on. The biggest issue was the prescription itself. My right eye is the one with vision problems -- but he wrote the prescription for my left eye by mistake. Luckily, I didn't purchase my glasses at this location due to the poor service. When I visited another LensCrafters to buy a frame, the error was immediately caught. If I hadn't checked, I would've ended up with the wrong lenses entirely. To top it off, the front desk staff was just as disappointing. A woman named Armina (I believe) was completely indifferent, unwelcoming, and seemed like she didn't want to be bothered helping customers at all. Overall, this location is unprofessional, careless, and poorly managed. I won't be returning -- and I highly recommend others look elsewhere if you care about your vision and want to be treated with basic respect and attention. read more

Rene at the front desk was wonderful in fixing my eyeglasses without any charges. A screw in my eyeglass frames had come out so it couldn't hold my lenses. Rene took it to the back room and fixed it in 5 minutes, then came out and checked how it fit when worn. It felt perfect and he didn't charge me for any work. I'm here to spread the message that they go above and beyond in customer service. BTW, these frames were not purchased at Lenscrafters so to help me out without asking for payment is so generous!! read more

The person at the desk assisted me right away and had me sit while they worked on the glasses. Kailey was able to get the screws out and replace the lenses! LensCrafters is a solid choice if you're looking for new lenses. They carry all the brands you'd expect - Burberry, Gucci, Coach, Ray Ban etc, and seem to do a good job with updating stock to include new releases from different collections. The store is a bit understaffed on my opinion, so you may have to wait a bit, but everyone is very friendly and work hard to get you taken care of as soon as possible. I always get my glasses a few days after buying them, but my prescription is pretty straight forward so ymmv. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I went in for an eye exam and a contacts exam. I showed up 10 minutes early to my appointment and had to wait an extra twenty minutes because they weren't ready. When it came to getting an eye exam done I was asking questions to the salesman because I was interested in getting contacts. When I asked for a breakdown on the cost the salesman gave me such a nasty look and said "you seem a little money conscious". I was furious but I bit my tongue and told him I'm just curious for what I'm paying for. I've had several horrible experiences and conversation and felt judged and belittled by Dr.choi and the salesman that was doing my eye exam. I will never step foot into this location again and recommend you to a different optometrist! read more

It's a shame as I love Dr. Choi but the optical team is awful. I wanted new lenses in my glasses and with insurance it was over $700!! He told me to if I bought new frames from them the price would go down. I went over to Eye Lab in Noho and got the exact same lenses for $225! read more

It's been 3 weeks and no one has contacted me to let me know if my glasses are ready. When I try calling, no one answers the phone.

Beware! This place is worse than a car dealership. The salesman that helped me out today wasn't interested in providing a quality service experience. When I originally called to schedule my appointment, I specifically asked if VSP was accepted there and I was told yes. What Lens Crafters in Burbank doesn't tell you over the phone is that your insurance company may be considered "out of network" until you have had your eye exam and are ready to purchase the frames. This means your coverage is way less than you'd expect. The price I was initially quoted by the rude, double-talking salesman started at $615, then dropped to $515 with an unexpected "discount." He then tried convincing me to take a lesser quality progressive lens than what I currently have to drop the price down to $415. If you want to spend an hour of your time haggling, this is the place to go, but if you want an honest transaction at a reputable optometry office, steer clear of this place! read more

Just went back to the good folks at this LensCrafter location. SHOUT OUT TO JACKIE! I get both my glasses (computer) and my son's (distance) and contact lenses at this LensCrafters. I'm a pretty tough customer, because I don't have a lot of time. I recently got a concussion, which lowers my already low tolerance level for all the steps involved in a glasses transaction. Jackie could not have been better. She went above and beyond, and kept her cool when I was pressing. She did what she needed to do and did not waste my time. She got down to business, and was exceptionally friendly and professional. The ONLY comment I'll make is to look out for is that Luxottica, who own ALL the eye wear brands, including Ray-Ban, Oakley, Vogue and more, as well as licensed brands including Giorgio Armani, Burberry, Bulgari, Chanel, Coach, Dolce&Gabbana, Ferrari, Michael Kors, Prada, Ralph Lauren, Tiffany & Co., Valentino and Versace....They have a brand named Arnette. Unlike all other glasses, which are all physically under their brand names, they scatter Arnette (which Luxottica created) about the store...or at least under Polo for sure. See photo. YES they said ARNETTE on the side, but if one is like me and moving fast to select frames for someone, if I'm in the Polo section, I don't look for the Polo symbol on the arms. I trust the glasses under the Polo logo are Polo only. The goal of doing this is to inject the ARNETTE brand to people who are either in a hurry like me and make the mistake not to check (who knew!) or people who do spend the time, but who don't think to look. When I asked if she could look them up on the computer she said "it would be the same as on your phone". But happily greeted and offered to assist the white man that came in after us. You tell me.
