I like Feng Cha. I usually get the Creme Brulee brown sugar milk tea or the taro milk tea or any of their fruit teas, but today I got the Mango Fantasy. It's a mango smoothie with mini sago, grapefruit chunks, and coconut cream. The drink was good and refreshing overall, but I don't really like the grapefruit chunks. I can't really taste the coconut cream either. Next time I would probably go for the mango breeze instead because that one is creamier and less bitter.
I was driving by and stopped to get a drink, I got the mango fantasy drink with grapefruit and sago and 75% sweetness. It was pretty good, it had soft and frozen sago, I loved the texture difference. I ordered on a kiosk, and my drink was made pretty quickly. It was a quiet place.
Worst taro I have ever had due to rotten milk Typically I get Thai tea here and it is great but tried the taro and it was the worst taro I have ever had. It tastes like rotten milk and lavender Update: I did go back and they made me a new drink. It tasted normal but due to drinking the rotten milk, my stomach was upset and I couldn't even drink the new one. Customer service was apologetic. But due to getting sick, I don't think I will go back to this location.
Feng Cha is a wonderful boba chain serving a variety of items all done well. I've had Feng Cha in Dallas and appreciated the drink while thinking the boba was just okay. Washington just opened the first Feng Cha as well. Overall, I think Feng Cha excels at the drinks themselves and their boba is chewy, but not sweet or flavorful. Sugar and ice levels are adjustable as expected. Classic Green Milk Tea w/ Boba - a classic creamer heavy milk tea, but the green tea was still very present. It was light but the floral flavor surrounded the primary, creamy taste. Super refreshing, especially with the heat. Boba was mid because the flavor was lacking, but the texture is pretty standard.
Drank the boba faster than I could snap a picture of it! Milk tea will always be a classic drink and Feng Cha knows how to make it right. Shop is relatively small so I wouldn't necessarily plan to stay there too long. Great option for boba in the city!
This place was not great. We did not enjoy the experience, for the food. This is not the fault of the sole person working there on a busy Sunday afternoon. He was doing his best under the circumstances, but I don't think that even full staffing would have made it a worthy experience. Sometimes strip mall places can surprise you with the ambiance, but not this place. Imagine a strip mall boba joint, take away some of the charm, and you've got Feng Cha. We ordered at the kiosk when we went in. It was a pretty easy and straightforward process. The menu is laid out well and it's easy to navigate. We placed our order and that's when we realized that all the seating was barstool height. There were a few two-person booths near the back, which were all occupied. I helped my companion onto a barstool and waited. There were about 8 people standing in the lobby waiting when suddenly a customer stood up on a chair to inform everyone that there is only one employee to fulfill all our orders. Some folks left. Our food was ready a few minutes later. My iced tea had no ice and was still warm. The cakes had no flavor and my companion did not even finish theirs. The taro drink was good though.
I got: Dirty Boba It is a bit sweet (100% or 75% sugar) getting 50% sugar might be the move. Pretty standard for boba places. Boba texture is good. Overall, enjoyable!
This place is ok. You order via kiosk right in front of the desk, but there's only one. So I don't know how this works if it gets really busy. Still, it's a straight forward process though I was having a weird issue with the tap to pay and had to physically pull out my card. Anyways, the reason for the mid-rating was the drink I got. Usually when I go to a boba shop, even if I pick something random, I've generally always enjoy the drink. I can't say the same for this place. I got the Citrus Lord because I love citrus drinks and Texas is 100+ degrees but that drink was AWFUL. You know that feeling you get when you drink OJ after brushing your teeth. That's what it tasted like.
I'm assuming they just opened cuz there were boxes and it looked a little unfinished inside *Customer service- was ok they ask tht u use the kiosk which is ok but the screen next to the counter and the kiosk on the side look somewhat similar So there isn't a whole Bunch of people interaction * prices I thought were descent *pretty fresh boba *lots of flavors to pick from *location kind of hard to find u need to keep an eye out * lots of seating standing n seating
Feng Cha is consistently good with their drinks, the menu has a wide variety of teas, fruit flavors, and toppings, and you can customize your sugar and ice levels as expected (for most drinks). The best drinks I've tried are the mango au lait and the milk teas or tea with salty cheese foam. The cups the drinks come in are sturdier than other boba shops, so it's a nice bonus. The boba is simple - soft and chewy, but nothing special. Service is usually quick, but they are often busy. It's a nice spot to drop in and hang with friends or just to grab a drink and go! Overall, Feng Cha is one of my regular boba shops I visit in my rotation when I'm feeling in the mood for their particular drinks. They're not my favorite, but I like them enough for a revisit here and there.
Classic boba spot that won't disappoint after eating a heavy, savory meal. A lot of boba places in Austin close early, but Feng Cha is one of the few that you can count on to be open. Their prices are decent too -- at least relative to other expensive cities... I've only tried their fruit teas, but they are solid. Very refreshing and a good size. I will probably be coming here on a consistent basis. One day I'll try their milk tea options!
I haven't written a review in a while, but this place was more then deserving. I ordered 3 drinks, iced matcha, iced coffee (something), and iced milk tea. They were all AMAZING, but the matcha & coffee were my favorites out of the 3. I just quickly picked up my order but the inside of the store was clean and had quite a few tables for hanging out. The only con- the drink trays they give you are flimsy as heck and have no support. Luckily the drinks lids are on so tight there is no way you can spill it!!!! 5/5 will totally be back here.
Came by Feng Cha with a good friend for boba after a long day. We were excited to try it since we heard so much about it being the new boba spot in the area. The boba quality could be improved. I had their regular pearl milk tea which is black tea with milk and boba. The pricing is affordable and typical, but once you get their specialty bobas...the price does soar a bit. The boba pearls themselves didn't have the deliciosuly QQ chewy quality that I like. I do like that they have strong wifi and a variety of seating options for those who choose to study or have a nice conversation there. The restroom is very clean and they have a separate area if you just need to wash your hands. The cups are reusable and they recommend bringing it back again if you choose to get Feng Cha again in the future! You can save a solid 2 quarters if you choose to do that. I'm always for having more boba options in the greater Austin area, however Feng Cha wouldn't be my first choice for bubble tea. Service was very kind and wonderful, and they have a cute area with awesome vibes. The boba itself could be improved. read more

Yes! Multiple foam options but I stick to the cheese foam. The other ones are good too except for the sea salt foam. For some reason, it is sweeter than the other foams and not salty for being a "sea salt" foam. I've tried 3 teas so far, peach oolong, osmanthus oolong and earl grey. The teas here are strong in my opinion, not a complaint but just a note for those who may not want strong teas. Earl grey with cheese foam is my favorite so far. I get half the sweet level... so I love "eating" the cheese foam so much that I now order my drink with a layer of foam on the bottom, tea in the middle, and foam on top! Is that overkill? Nope! I finally got to try cakes, which I was excited about. They didn't disappoint. The cakes were moist and not too sweet. Very soft and light. I've tried the sea salt pearl and matcha love cakes. The matcha love is actually a plain sponge cake with matcha foam on top, the cake is not matcha flavored, fyi. The sea salt pearl is a regular white cake (think birthday cake texture). I would choose the sea salt pearl cake. This boba franchise has a slight edge over some others that have opened in the Austin area. Oh and they kept the basil chicken (from former Tea Haus) on the menu. read more
Another bubble tea place to take the place of the original Tea Haus. Unfortunately Feng Cha is lacking - perhaps because they're pretty new. Cheese foam may sound shocking to some people, but relax. It's more sweet like the cheese you find from Asia as opposed to the the savory flavors of American cheese. I had the 50% sweet black milk tea with tapioca and cheese foam. The drink was good, but they are stingy with tapioca. It was the equivalent to two teaspoons of tapioca. Disappointing. Tapioca costs like one cent for a single one. You won't lose money by giving more tapioca. I also tried the osmanthus tea: It was pretty horrid, and tasted strongly of rubbing alcohol used to clean equipment as opposed to tea. Thankfully my companion had it replaced with a Four Seasons Tea, which was much better. Right now Feng Cha hasn't found its own unique presence in the bubble tea scene: The decor is reminiscent of Tea Haus's look on the inside, but there are more chairs. Parking is an issue during the weekends, but it's far from a problem during anytime of the weekday. read more
3 stars = average due to inconsistency of milk tea flavors and boba quality. Their mini cakes are amazing, however. For 5.99 each you get a freshly baked chiffon cake smothered in their signature flavored foams and topped with boba, kit kats, oreos, or matcha powder depending on which flavor you get. Drinks- not a place i can count on for full bodied teas and consistently made tapioca pearls. I always get 50% sugar and regular ice. Teas are rarely full bodied and rely heavily on sugar for taste. Atmosphere- as of 7/1/21 they are takeout only still. Previously they had a good amount of seating relative to their small space and was a nice place to do reading or catching up with friends. read more

I have visited Fengcha a couple times. I recommend that you ordered 30% sugar because the drinks are TOO SWEET here. Here are some of the drinks I have ordered. - Matcha breeze: Tastes like a Starbucks Matcha Frappuccino. If you like a traditional matcha milk tea, don't get this. It can be very heavy. The cheese foam is super good tho. - Dirty Boba: It is just way too sweet (I mean it is expected) and I got so full after 3 sips. This drink is just very heavy so only order if you have room in your stomach. - Overflowing Grapefruit: GET THIS! my personal favorite. It tastes light and refreshing and is perfect for summer. Consistent boba quality which is great. read more
This is one of my go-to bubble tea places. I don't usually get boba, so my review is really based off the drinks. I usually get the oreo cheese drink. The cheese is a little too rich if you sip from the cup but if you mix it I think it's pretty balanced. The milk tea isn't too sweet but the oreo crumbs do sink to the bottom. I recently tried the dirty creme brûlée (with no boba) and thought it was good as well. I tried the basil fried chicken and it was underwhelming. Hoping to try their milk tea cakes one day! read more
If you're looking for a treat that's beyond boba, then this is a great place for you! I tried one of their cakes, got the strawberry flavor cake and thoroughly enjoyed it. The cake is light and fluffy! Definitely way better than an average cake you'd grab at the grocery, and also pretty unique to me! The cakes are personal sizes so it's just one serving, but can be shareable if you want to share( personally I wouldn't share lol!) , but the cake is amazing and can be finished by one person. Anyways give it a try! You'll love it read more
Feng Cha is a great place to sit, catch up with a friend & drink boba! We got the Mango Breeze and the smoothie itself was great however the boba was far too warm and created an odd contrast with the taste of the overall drink. The tiramisu treasure was very moist and good. There's an overwhelming amount of sauce for my taste but overall it was very good! Definitely recommend :) read more
It was my first time here with my friends and I really liked this place and how it turned out! I ordered rose oolong tea with lychee jelly and I just loved it. Even the cups that it came with was classy and the store itself was very beautiful. The service was quick and menu was simple. read more

This is a really cute boba shop in Austin. They got a pretty good variety of teas and toppings. I only wish their kitchen was open all day. I was looking forward to trying their basil chicken, but they said they only open their kitchen in the morning. I went at around 2:30 PM, but I guess I'll have to be up at 11:00 if I want some chicken. Anyway, I definitely recommend this place to anyone that loves boba tea. The aesthetics are great. They have paper straws and their cups are really neat! Customer service was okay, but I assume it was because there was a huge line. I'll definitely be back to try other options and explore their food options. read more
Overall not bad! Their fruity drinks are refreshing and yummy, and I can tell they use real fruit. I love their cheese foam too, the layer is thick and super good!!! They also adjust sweetness and ice level according to your preference. Currently, they have no indoor seating and there is no seating outside either! Plenty of parking though. Keep in mind that for their milk tea, they don't brew their tea specifically for milk tea. By that I mean that tea brewed to be milk tea is usually made with more tea leaves to keep the tea flavor strong even with the addition of milk, but when I tried their milk tea, I could tell that they brewed it like it was meant to be just straight tea, not milk tea! Unfortunately the result was too milky and watery for me, so I asked them to make it again without the milk and they were super nice and accomodating Thank you!! read more

Found this little gem in Austin. For first tiger's if you follow the address on your GPS, it will take you to the back of the building, so make sure to swing around to get to the entrance. As per usual, you need to wear a mask, you cannot dine in. Only take out is allowed. The reason I came here was for the the sponge cake dessert topped with boba. It was actually pretty delicious, not too sweet and super soft. It is exactly the consistency of what filipinos know as Mamon. The drinks here are pretty good and they have some unique flavors. I tried the tiramisu foam drink with black tea and clear boba. Come here if you wanna try something new! read more

Feng cha is a consistently good boba place. I only order two drinks from here-- mango au lait and dirty boba (brown sugar). The mango au lait is exceptional but the brown sugar milk tea is pretty decent. I think gong cha does a better job of it. I will come back just for the mango au lait :-) read more

Feng Cha is always a solid choice for boba! I had the Thai tea and really enjoyed the sugar levels as well as how large the cup size was. As of now they don't have tables to sit at due to the recent COVID cases which I approve of. Only half their building is open just for people to order, wait, and pick up. read more

My new favorite bubble tea spot in Austin! Everything on their menu is so delicious and their tapioca taste and texture is 10/10! I love their packaging as well! Classic Milk Tea with a tiramisu foam topping is my favorite! I always use the Chowbus app to order. read more

It was my first time Trying out Feng Cha, and I'm impressed. I was overwhelmed and didn't know what do order, Jonathan was able to point me in the right direction. I ordered: Dirty Boba, Mango Breeze and Strawberry Overload. My toddlers were obsessed with the mango breeze. To the point where he wanted to save the drink before himself while sliding off the hood of the car I'm all about the dirty boba. Strawberry overload, it was aight. I'll have to try it again since I was too full. Will I come back? Again and again. read more

I'm divided here: I thought the half-sugar Classic Black Milk Tea with Boba was spectacularly unimpressive, but the "Dirty Boba" drink special was surprisingly great. But if I stop using Classic Milk as my ubiquitous benchmark and switch to pricey specials, I'd have to reevaluate every Boba place I've ever been to. Don't wanna. In any case, Feng Cha is the latest corporate Boba giant making a play in Austin, and the bad news is they took the original Tea Haus on Anderson to do it. Dunno about the Tea Haus on Airport. Interestingly enough, it appears they'll keep the Basil Chicken on the menu, and that'll make this Feng Cha unique from Dallas & Houston. Cool. Everyone was doing the amazing-looking fruit drinks when I was here, I think they officially open July 19, and their IG-worthy dessert menu should kick in by then. And corporate Boba juggernauts rarely stop with one place in a new city, I'm mildly curious where the next one will be. read more
I love coming here to get their dirty boba drink. It is a yummy drink if you like the flavor of caramel milk. It is a brown sugar milk drink with boba. The brown sugar gives that caramel-y taste and goes so well with milk. It is definitely on the sweeter side so I usually have to order mine with 50% sweetness. I also love the plastic cups that they come in. It comes with a cute little heart cover over the cup's mouth piece. It makes for a good Instagram picture! read more

Oh feng cha, how you tease me with your delicious drinks yet push me away with your small cups and overally decadent concoctions. I recently went to feng cha after seeing some bloggers post about it. I was super stoked that it was still on the DL so no super long lines, even the teahaus sign is still up lol. What I ordered; the dirty boba and the kiwi basil tea. Thoughts? bleh the kiwi drink was too healthy for me. The dirty boba is 100% ME. Brown sugar drizzle with milk tea on top of pearls with cheese foam ! It tastes like caramel milk tea with cream cheese toppings. Okay okay the issues: the cup is tiny, 4.25 for one drink and only one size. It's so sweet that it kinda hurts, get 1/2 sweet. The kiwi tea was incredibly unremarkable and I wonder how the other ones taste. Of course I have a sweet tooth so this is my opinion. I can't wait to go back and try more and I'm sure I'll modify the review as I try the other drinks ! read more

This place originally used to be Tea Haus and I loved Tea Haus. But now I can say, I love Feng Cha more! I was skeptical at first but the staff was friendly and helped me navigate my way through the menu. She was super generous to let me try a sample of each milk foam flavor. My favorite was the Cheese and the Tiramisu Milk Foam. The Cheese Milk Foam is super interesting. Similar to the Sea Salt Milk Foam, sweet and hint of a salty flavor to it but the Cheese Milk Foam has a thicker consistency and tasted more like cream cheese. I got the Oolong Cheese Milk Foam with boba and the Bursting Dragon Fruit with boba. Just to be safe, I got my drinks at a 70% sweetness level. Next time, I think I'll be safe to get the drinks 100% sweet. The boba pearls were just like how I liked them to be, a nice chew to them and it didn't have a soggy outer layer. What I really liked, was how the drink didn't sit heavy in my stomach. Other milk teas I've tried left an unsettling feeling and made me painfully full. Here, I felt refreshed and light after drinking a large size, too! In the end, I was very satisfied. And I can't wait to try the other drinks on their menu. Pro tip: their cups are re-useable! Bring your cup back for a 5% discount on your drink and take part in saving the earth. read more

This place rips you off on the amount of tea. I asked for a large lemon black tea no ice no sugar. They put into the tea a half a lemon which already takes away the amount as it is....I asked them why its low on the amount of tea and she proceeded to tell me "because you left out the ice and but its not really low on the amount i left out" ... What?? Wow wrong answer barista! Next time say this to the paying customers-- "Yes ma'am let me fill it up for you... I apologize for that Thank you and come again". ( you must've been absent the day they were teaching about customer service) Well I also ordered tea with no sugar and since ya nickel and dime'in me did you reduce the price because I left out sugar?? Hey blonde haired Barista we were in the day before remember when we left you a nice tip and you filled our overpriced teas to the rim...and I didn't even complain when the paper straw dissolved in our teas hahahahaha gross ! Nope ! 15 dollars for teas? I will go back to Starbucks who makes overpriced teas the way you order....I don't mind paying because at least I know they will craft my tea to my request! One star for the cute cup and red plastic red heart...is that why y'all serve paper straws?? read more

I was going through instagram and just happened to hear about this new Boba place in town - and boy was I lucky. I dropped by to try out this new place and I honestly really like it. First impression of the overall location: it was cute, cozy, and I definitely love the sofas that they put up. Overall, very nice ambiance and vibe, I could definitely see myself studying here. Drink wise: The overall menu and drinks looks extremely aesthetic, made it hard to pick what drinks to try. I ended up getting their Green Apple Green Tea with 70% sugar and less ice, topping definitely slipped my mind. I really liked it. It was light, refreshing, and tastes just the way it sounds. Will most likely come back to try their milk teas. Staff was really nice, drinks came out quick, gave helpful inputs. *** My favorite part would be that if you bring back the reusable cup that they give you, you get a discount on your next drink. :) read more
