I have called Feldco for at least 3 projects for windows and doors. I decided to use them again. Put up a substantial deposit for 6 windows. They told me they were not able to provide the service because the village wouldn't agree to a permit for installation. Never heard that before. I requested a refund until the issue was resolved. I spoke to 3 different Feldco representatives, agreeing to the refund. I've gotten nothing but the run around, reps don't work there anymore, etc., and ghosted. Its been 2 months. As of today, nobody responsible and no name of who to talk to. Take your money and run. Customer service not good. read more

I had Feldco install siding on my garage as well as install a storm door on the rear of the house. This was done some 5 years ago. Unfortunately, after these years there was a hardware issue with the storm door. I called Feldco's service number and told them of this problem. The service person (Steve) listened to my issue and told me that hardware was not covered,, however he did his best to accomidate me. In the end, he got me new hardware at no charge, providing I would do the simple installation. I cannot speak more highley of this company. They will go out of their way to satisfy their customers. You get what you pay for with Feldco. On their first attempt to install the windows, they took the first window out only to realize they got the measurements on the windows wrong. They did a rush order and installed a new set a few weeks later. But the team failed to clean the windows before they left. Feldco sent someone out to clean them, but he didn't bother to bring a ladder. He came out again, but would not stick around for the neighbors to be contacted. They then offered to clean some of the windows, but not the others, saying the others were too difficult to access. Feldco then placed all the blame on me for the problems they created. The other problem with their windows is that the borders are quite large, reducing the size of the glass by over 2 inches in every direction. This is not something they explained in their sales pitch. Fortunately, our windows are large enough that enough light still gets in, but it is something to be aware of when considering them as an option. read more

We had Feldco over because we wanted to receive a quote to replace our windows. After an over two hour presentation (which we were told was only to be 90 minutes) we were given an estimate in which we weren't told how much each window was. We knew this was going to be an expensive project and because of that we were going to get three estimates. When I explained this to the Feldco employee his demeanor completely changed. He even had an attitude with us because we wouldn't commit. I'm glad we didn't cave in to his heavy sales tactics. We ended up going to a company that gave us a real estimate that actually told us how much each window was. This company didn't take hours to get to what we wanted to know which was the price. Unless you want to spend 2 1/2 hours with a pushy salesman, I would suggest you just go with another company. Oh, and they're not the cheapest the company we went with is $8000 cheaper. Feldco plays way too many games with their sales tactics. read more

Cheap doors. I mean cheap quality. Paid over 4 k for TWO doors. One broke all to hell. They claim a 20 yr warranty. Called them 5 months ago and still no response. Mind you I only had these doors 2 years!!!! Ridiculous. Absolute rubbish and hype. Don't do it read more

Terrible customer service, very poor communication with the customer. They don't even communicate with their subcontractors. They dropped the material off but didn't tell the subcontractor. so they didn't show up until the next day. 7/20/19 update. Via voicemail from the sales rep. Feldco cancelled my order. Said they will never make me happy. The Branch Manager stated he was not aware of this. I sent him the voicemail so that he could hear it himself. Received a refund of my deposit in full via FedEx Next Day. After about two weeks, along with leaving several phone call messages and emails sent , I received a refund for the window that was damaged due to the Measure Team leaving my window damaged. Which I recently had my entire lower level of my home repainted including all of the windows and trim work. I am grateful for this experience, because after having four other window companies out for an estimate, we became educated on the correct window replacement that was actually needed for our home. Never in my wildest dreams could I have prepared for the intrusion that happened at my house when I called Feldco for a simple measure and estimate to replace a few windows. Have the Nest Cam footage of me telling the guy I had a major headache (thanks to him) and asking him repeatedly to wrap up his over the top, ridiculous, clown show, sales pitch. It was so uncomfortable I ultimately had to yell at him and tell him that he was making me uncomfortable in my own home and asked him to leave. Also to note, I'm pretty strong and don't take a lot of BS, I couldn't even imagine if I were weak, or elderly, or vulnerable, the advantage those poor people would be taken of by this company. Like boarder-line criminal conduct. Complete and utter sham! Would not recommend. Would never allow these people back into my home. Save yourself the trouble. Tell your loved ones and elderly family members. read more

Poor product with matching attitude from their sales and services side. After they messed up on the first measurement and I had to wait another 6 weeks along with the poor quality of the storms door in which the screen broke after the first time I pulled it down the service team would not send out a tech until I paid the balance. I pay for products that work. Never will I ever use them again for any projects. Sad as they did a good job at my last house with window installation. Maybe Feldco should stick to windows and leave the doors to someone else. Installers are good people , but sales and service management not worth the time to deal with. read more

I called Feldco for an estimate on siding of my house. An appointment was scheduled for the next day with sales representative, Peter Metcalf based out of the Rosemont location. He arrived on time and was patient, kind along with complete knowledge of their products. The product and pricing were fair, I decided to hire them for the job. Peter was a pleasure to deal with and also informed me of their lifetime warranty which is transferable to the next buyer. They also have free financing for a year. read more

We just had a very poor experience with Feldco. We didn't know until it was too late that the new window we ordered for our kitchen bay that looks out onto our beautiful lake view was going to be slightly smaller than the original. When we questioned that we could not get a clear or helpful response. In fact, at this point, we've given up on a response at all. But what a shame. We paid good money for a new window which actually reduces our view. It was divulged that the windows they provide may not be the exact size you're replacing. So disappointing. Not even the courtesy of an apology, let alone some reduction in price. We will NEVER do business with Feldco again, nor do we recommend anyone does. read more

Just had our windows installed and so far, so good. Setting up the appointment was super easy and our rep, Ken, was great and super personable and explained everything. We just had 11 windows installed and two guys were in and out within 4 hours - it was great. It is true they offer you a lower price if you sign the day of the presentation which I agree, isn't ideal. Luckily, they were our last presentation of three and so we were comfortable signing with them. They had the best value of all the companies we saw. I'd recommend getting a few quotes and having them come in last because of this tactic. read more

Believe me if I can give this business zero stars I would. From the very beginning there was nothing but issues starting with the sales rep that came to my house. We already specific door a specific screen door and specific sidelights. Nothing was delivered correctly. But before we even did that, we were told we're going to be about three weeks out from the work date. three weeks turned into five weeks I had to contact feldcofive or six times to figure out when we're going to schedule everything to arrive. All I kept hearing was oh nobody contacted you yet. It seems to be a running gig they have over there to tell their customers because I've been hearing nothing about that from the poor customer service girls on the phone. When the installation day came everything ran smoothly until they went to install the doors we had a completely different front door than what we had picked with our sales rep. He will remain nameless for now, because if I ever see him again it's going to be a whole different conversation. Aside from that, they brought the complete incorrect back door and incorrect storm doors for both sides of the house. Apparently they took somebody else's order and delivered it to my home. We entered what we thought was a one-year financing agreement( according to dumbass the sales rep it would all be paid in a year) I feel like I need some magic beans buyer beware you are not entering into a one year or an 18 month financial agreement for payment. the payment plan if they put you on one, is for a five-year plan where you are paying 29% yearly interest. For numbers sake, if my doors were $9000 I would be paying $19,000 for them if I use their payment plan for the five years. When I spoke to the bank that handles the financing they said this is how it was set up by Feldco. I attempted to contact their finance department it has been 2 1/2 weeks and I have yet to hear back from them. I have made multiple phone calls, and spoken to multiple people who have all said the same thing "they haven't contacted you yet? " Stay away from this company. Save your money. You're better off flushing your money down the toilet then purchasing anything from these guys. From shitty sales tactics, improper installation, and completely nonexistent people who to call you back. I mean God for bid if I want to pay my entire loan off ASAP but I need to check something first I would never get a phone call. So from thinking hey... I'll get my windows from these guys, I want to now throw a brick through all of theirs. Fucktrumpets. All of you Edit: 21+ days later still no resolution. Spoke to the finance manager and he claimed I would receive an email from him, the sales rep(tilian) and his manager. So far nothing. My next step is to contact my lawyer and have him contact them. Maybe then they will do something and at least respond to voicemails and emails. Their is a reason why you have an F rating on BBB. read more

I paid a $389 deposit for a door and installation two months ago. The installation was scheduled twice because the door wasn't ready. A condition for installation was to reinstall my steel storm door in from of the new door. I was assured by a salesman and surveyor that the job could be completed. The installers were unaware of the requirement and assessed whether the job could be completed in this manner. A sales manager later called, saying my deposit was non-refundable. Feldco commercials for buy one get one free drew me to call them Tom, the sales rep was on time and brought samples. Yes it is a long presentation but he had a job to do. I got it. You have the option to go with lesser grade box store type windows or their top of the line Sophia I think it is called. He wrote it up and gave me many approved discounts The bill went from over 10,000 down to 7600. I was informed another tech would come out to remeasure for accuracy My windows were all on 2nd level Ordered two double hung and 1 crank style You pay half down or can finance They said it might be 12 weeks due to covid delays in manufacturing I was surprised but I got it. Everything is delayed these days The windows actually arrived about 4 weeks I set up install. Wesley was my tech and showed up promptly. It was just him. He took about 6 hours to install and walked me through operation of finished install Wesley is a pro. Polite..tidy..efficient and the windows are stunning. You can immediately feel the quiet in a room. Installed all of my windows, including basement which cost quite a lot. Installation was fine but once they get your money they treat you like garbage. We had a break in, and our screen was ruined. There is a sense of urgency for us, but they don't seem to care. Even with a warrenty, they try every way to get you to pay for something. Paid $126 for some kid to take a picture of our window and leave mud in our bathtub. Where do I start? I just hired another window company to come back to do our front windows. Feldco is just a horrible company with terrible installers, and awful customer service. 1. Workers came in and got up in my wife's face about being late, but she had called that morning and advised the CS that she would be running about 15 minutes late. Oh yeah, my two young daughters were with her. 2. I stopped back home at lunch time and workers were just nice as pie. As soon as I left, they were very disrespectful to my wife. Oh yeah, my two young daughters were there. 3. A third unidentified crew member arrived after the first 2 and let himself into our home. Used the bathroom without my wife's knowledge, with our children just outside. 4. Work was just terrible. They ruined our freshly painted house with their caulking. 5. A representative came in and was very understanding and apologetic. Offered to replace our windows. Until he left and never heard from him again. Not to mention our sales rep was no where to be found. Feldco, I have more windows to replace and you are not being considered. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!! I often wondered about Feldco reviews that are short term, despicably one sided, grossly opinionated and generally pissed-off... We all know the Feldco Man, the Smiley King of TV Commercials. The guy thats been in your face for years! A place that spends millions of dollars a year on TV commercials and passes the savings on to you! I would give a 0 star review if I could. Windows are great HOWEVER the rest is an awful nightmare. The sales guy said carpentry work would be done, and it wasnt done. Whatever the excuse was they DID NOT refund the money that it would have cost to get it done from another company... AND THEY TOLD ME THEY COULDNT DO IT THEMSELVES. So they wouldnt do it, nor would they refund the amount it would cost to get it done... Shady. Please make sure that you double and triple check everything the sales guy tells you and make sure you get EVERYTHING broken down in pricing before you do ANTHING. The amount they "refunded" me was "their cost" (even thought they couldnt do it afterwards?) which was about half the amount it will not take me to get it done let alone my own time now. Currently going through a horrible experience with Feldco, three months ago I ordered windows through the company. Finally got the call to get them installed and when they came out they notified me that the windows they had were too large because the company measured them improperly. Therefore we would have to start the entire process over again. So here I am having to wait another three months to get new windows manufactured. After spending $15k with the company no one has called to offer a discount or reimbursement on the final price or offered any kind of customer service solution. We are trying to rush to get these projects finished to sell the house in a few months and the anxiety this places on us as a homeowner is unacceptable. We were going to go through the company to replace our gutters but after this experience we will definitely be going with someone else. read more

Terrible experience with Feldco all around. We hired Feldco to install two walls of windows and our front door for a $19,000 job. It was a waste of every penny, and we desperately wish we had gone with any other company. They started the installation in August 2021, and now in February 2022 it is still unfinished. There is uncaulked gaps allowing moisture in, the caulk job overall was very sloppy, the windows are not installed level so there is now cold air rushing into our house, and the door installer was in such a rush our siding is damaged from the drill slipping repeatedly. The Feldco salesperson stood in our living room for full 90 minutes assuring us we would be 100% satisfied, and that the warranty would cover any issues. Not only are we completely unsatisfied, but this company does not answer the phone, nor do they return calls or emails. The Feldco warranty is completely useless because they do not respond to customer calls or complaints. They are VERY responsive and professional for the sales portion ONLY, and then as soon as you sign a contract it's as if you're dealing with an entirely different company that doesn't even care about finishing the job you paid them to do. ALL window sills and trim boards all swelled from condensation and had to be replaced because of swelling in wood which made the window sill bow to not lock window. I cut out window sill and I can see the siding outside with large void for air and water to gather. I was told, these are replacement windows and they sit on the window sill and house was built in 98' that way. My experience with this company was atrocious. I will make sure I tell everyone I know of my experience with your company. Your salesperson never told me that your company would install unfinished trim. I would have paid to have the wood stained or been given the opportunity to stain it before it was installed. The installers arrived at my home almost 2 hours late. They live about 150 miles from my home. They rushed and it shows in the work quality. They did not do a walkthrough with me to inspect each window and make sure it worked properly. One of the window locks was defective. No one from Feldco's Management Team ever reached out to talk about why their product quality and customer service is such DOG CRAP. Or how the company was going to fix the issue and make things right once and for all. Real Shocker considering that FLEDCO's three sentence "cut & paste" response to my review is attached verbatim to the literally THOUSANDS of Customer Complaints that are on here. I would be embarassed to work at a company with such CRAP customer service and a management team too incompetent to figure out how to fix fundamental product quality and supply issues (like the ones THOUSANDS of existing FLEDCO's Current Customers are facing). If I could give them a 0, I would. Do not use this company. We bought a roof from Feldco based on an ice dam we experienced. The sales person specifically stated, "Yes, if you buy a Feldco Roof it will resolve the ice dam issue." Then went on to give a 2 hour explanation as to how the "roofing system" prevents ice dams. We bought the roof. It was a complete tear off and replacement. Less than a year later, the $27k roof leaked. While there were all kinds of theories for the roof leak, no one could give a definite answer. Interestingly, Feldco settled on an ice damn as the cause of the leak though the leaking was next to skylight flashing. The operations manager asked me to get quotes for repair to the inside of my home. I had a second Owens Corning roofing company review the damage. That company stated that the roof shouldn't leak after less than a year and the damage should be covered. Feldco has refused to cover damage to the inside of my home, though I was able to secure an estimate for repair in the amount of $650. They allege the damage was caused by an ice dam which is not covered under the warranty. The SAME reason we bought the roof! (Either sales or operations had been untruthful. Bottom line, they lie.) Save your money, the roofs leak, the warranty is useless and you're on your own to repair the damage from the leaking roof. read more

We've used Feldco several times the past few years. The first install went great. Very high quality and the surroundings were well prepared during the install. The second time around, the install went great, but they didn't seem as concerned with protecting the surrounding area. This last time we needed new windows and called on Feldco once again. The install was crap and we had a problem with the siding surrounding the window. What shouldn't have been a big deal turned out to be an ongoing problem. Had Feldco come out for a quote on our siding & windows. I usually stick to small town businesses but these guys are on tv all the time, always running promotions so why not just get a quote? I'm kicking myself for not reading the reviews first! Holy uncomfortable. I felt like we invited over a "buy here pay here bad credit car salesman" to our home Let me break down his quote for you. Siding -$61,500 If I signed the contract this month - $51,420 Signed that day -$43,200 Signing a contract on the same day saves almost 20k?! Nothing like just telling the customer to their face that they are being insanely overcharged lol. There must be some other incentives other than not being ripped off right?! Material upgrade? Quicker install date? - Nothing. Siding install is 16 weeks out. -The windows? $26k Signed within the month-$20k Signed that day $19k Best part - this isn't even all the windows I need done! My house is 20 years old but the windows are pretty standard. Some they just "couldn't replace" You know that I HAD to ask where are all the promos this company uses in their non stop commercials? He flat out admitted they're simply gimmicks.-No shame. If the price was worth it I very well could've gone through with it, but the whole thing was suspicious & uncomfortable. He began his pitch with telling us what siding we would use based on what our neighborhood allows- I live on the border of 3 HOAs, There's no way he could know what is allowed. (my neighborhood has no rules on siding) I explained I want to look at the numbers compared to what our closing credits for these replacements were when we purchased our home- he told me that no doubt I was ripped off so it's irrelevant (I'm sorry sir, I didn't notice your presence at our closing) We told him that we never sign contracts on the same day- I know we aren't the only people that like to sleep on things so one would think that's clear enough, nope. He even went as far as insinuating we couldn't afford it. Based on the reviews they all go through the same terrible sales training because the guy wouldn't leave my house!!!!!!! A note to corporate-change your sales training and for goodness sake- if you're going to up charge THAT much, don't just straight out tell the customer you're doing it. We all want honesty sure, but working with an honest company who does honest work is most important. Wild guess - read the reviews ..their work doesn't seem too honest. read more
