We needed a glass replaced on a top panel of a 20 year old double hung kitchen window, plus, a couple of latches on other windows. The process was ultra simple, yet precise and quick at a very reasonable cost. The original window measurements, model, etc are kept on file tied to the serial/model number unique to each window. read more

Have their windows on my house that had issues that were thankfully covered by their warranty. Getting them serviced was not easy. I had to bring in the sashes that had defective seals in to their manufacturing location to have the glass swapped out. On other windows I was given replacement parts that I had to install. Easy on the safety stops but not so easy for the balancers. Not the service I was anticipating, lots of time involved. read more

These guys are awsome! Great customer service they set up appointment right away. Enrique updated me on servicing my window and was friendly and professional. Highly recommend Advanced Window Corp., because my whole building used them to replace old windows and really stand behind and support their windows! We came in on a Saturday morning to purchase windows. not one person acknowledge us nor did any one person said they would be right with us. They just ignored us the entire time. Also nobody greeted us when we walked in and there was at least three people there at there desks. They just lost our business and I don't recommend coming here. read more

We purchased two larger sliding windows, four smaller sliding windows for the basement, and two sliding doors, one with built in blinds back in the summer of 2020. They came recommended from a friend, and their prices including labor were very competitive. Overall the quality is good, and the windows have held up well over the past two years with no issues. The windows, doors and blinds have never slid as smoothly compared to the Pella windows and doors at our in-laws, but it was likely 1/3 of their costs. We have not had to perform any warranty work, nor have follow up work from the installer so overall we are happy with the product. read more

My house had all rehau doors and windows when i purchased the place. I had a number of small (read: not worth to an installer) issues with handles and one small issue with one of the doors. I spent literal years trying to track down who installed them for the original builder with no success. Finally reached out the Advanced Windows (shoutout to Jacek) and they were extremely helpful. Performed a very professional service call and got me all the replacement parts I need. Will def use them if/when I need a full install of windows. read more

In cahoots with the contractor who abandoned the job. They took my money and then cancelled the order. STAY AWAY.

I was told about Advanced Window from our painter, and took a chance and am so glad i did. I got an estimate for french doors to our sunroom from a local business and they wanted literally double the price. My contact at Advanced was quick to respond to my questions, and kept me informed of the timeline as to when they would be installed. It did take a bit longer than originally stated but in this day and age such things are expected, i don't see it as a reflection on this company. The installation team was prompt, courteous, and did a beautiful job installing our new doors. The quality of the doors is exceptional as well. read more

We moved a new house and love the windows the prior owner installed. They looks solid and high quality. We had installed new high end windows in the other houses but we like these window most. Recently we broke one panel of the window. To find a replacement, we learned the windows are from Advanced window Corp in Chicago. We sent a email to the customer service and Jack replied in the same day. We provided window no and he gave us options to replace just a glass or entire panel with the frame. We decide to just replace the glass. We informed Jack the day we come to get the new glass. When we arrived, the item was ready and just few minutes they replaced the glass. Wonderful service. We wish they have offices in Wisconsin, so we do not to drive down to Chicago. read more

Horrible installation and installers. My senior Mom purchased 43 windows from this company less than a year ago and all of the windows are coming apart where the cork is and every window is leaking inside of the windows when it rain. We just notice the basement windows wasn't installed correctly several of the windows will not stay closed at the top, only if you put a stick in the window to keep it up. This company is a big rip off. I can't believe they took my Mom money like this. She has a 12mth labor free and a lifetime on warranty the windows. The owner will not return my calls or my Mom calls and the sales person is very disrespectful. I do not recommend this company to anyone. They're trying to put the blame on the contractor but the contractor didn't install the windows Advanced Window did. read more

My house is four years old. I've noticed a broken seal on only one window, which happened to be the largest in the house. The resulting moisture between the panes was pretty subtle but we wanted to replace it before it got worse. We got absolutely no pushback on the warranty claim and AW promptly scheduled a replacement appointment. They showed up on time and promptly and neatly got the job done. I thought the two guys who did that work were so professional and courteous that I sent the manager a note, which I rarely bother to do. I started to give a 4 star review, because the window failed, but I think that probably happens with most windows from time to time. The warranty does not include labor (mine was $350) but that is a function of comparing prices and warranties when picking a product. I was very satisfied with an interaction that I expected would be a pain. read more

I needed a new sliding door for my condo balcony and did some research. Found Advanced mentioned on a big reddit thread about windows and where to buy in IL. Since I don't like far from the facility, my husband and I went and looked at the slider. We had talked to Jessica first, to be sure it was ok to just show up. She was super helpful and even took us into the warehouse to see our size door. We took a name of an installer from her and ended up getting our slider from Advanced through EV Windows, our installer. We've had the door almost two weeks and are very happy with it. read more

There was only one person to deliver our windows yesterday. My husband had to help him carry them and when asked if everything was here the driver said yes. Trusting the driver my husband signed. Bad mistake. Unfortunately we are missing four handles for our crank out windows. The sales representative was of no help and we were told we could either come pick them up, which is an hour drive from where I live one way or have the handles shipped to me but I would have to pay for it. I called the sales rep again and was told the same information. Since the company did not bring everything I paid $6,000 for, I should not have to go out of my way or have to pay for it. Just ordered windows from Home Depot because, every time I call here, the crusty guy at the front desk taking orders spends copious amounts of time telling me I'm measuring the windows incorrectly, that I'll need to give him 5 signatures saying I won't send the windows back, etc, etc instead of actually trying to walk me through the window measure if he really thinks I'm doing it wrong. I know what a replacement window is so it's not that complicated. I wonder how many orders this company loses because they've got a grouch as the first point of contact there? read more

I've had 3 double hung windows replaced with Advance Windows. My carpenter did all the work, in fact he was the one who recommended their windows because he liked the quality. I've had no complaints, the windows seem solid. Before this job we had an addition built onto our house, using an architect, had floor to ceiling windows(5), French doors & a few smaller windows. We went with Pella-their mid grade line based on architect's experience. Nice windows but later I noted how much more substantial Advance windows were. And I trust my carpenter who did both jobs & preferred Advance. Sounds like many of the complaints on Yelp center around the installers, not the windows themselves. read more

Advanced Windows replaced a big front window for us about 5 years ago. It was not an easy job, and definitely not a standard window - it is arched and about 7 feet wide. The price was very good, they took care of everything during installation (molding, etc), and the window is great quality. This year, we had them replace a french door with a sliding door. Again, the price was less than Home Depot, the quality is very high and the installation was great. I recommend working with Mario. He takes his time to think about what would work best and has great advice. He never tried to oversell us on anything. read more

I'm a former contractor who flips homes on the weekends and I've done a couple homes now with their windows. I can say they are a quality made window at an affordable price. I've installed the double hungs and casements and both have installed easily and were made to my exact dimensions. They also have a partition part that goes between multiple windows that are side by side that make for a nice look and an easy install so I didn't get to do a lot of extra work. The seals seem to work well as I saw no real leaks in the cold winter and the glass keeps out the hot sun. None of the plastic has faded or turned yellow which is great. Customer service was fine but I knew exactly what I wanted so I can't really comment if you'll need help measuring. Overall, they're a great company to work with and I'll keep coming back. Wish they had a north side location though. read more

I just read a one star review from a person who wanted one sash window replaced. I'm a GC in the Chicago area who has been buying and installing windows from Advanced for years. There is only one way I will buy from a different company, and that is if my client wants an unusual finish on the window, like a strange interior color of vinyl or something. Their manufacturing process uses the best materials, the best and correct thickness of glass with the right butyl sealing process, and their warranty is rock solid. I once installed a window for a client in front of his kitchen sink. There was an imperfection that was barely noticeable but it was right at eye level. Kind of like that bug that hits your windshield right after you get it washed! After installing the unit is when I noticed it. I called them up and in 45 minutes their truck was there with a replacement for that part of the awning window. BAM! Fixed. They also have a lifetime warranty on the frame and components and a 20 year warranty on the thermal seal (fogging). Shelby R of Morton Grove, here's a lesson in Home Repair 101. If you can get a repairman out to fix a window for 66 bucks AND it includes the cost of the replacement sash which, if you read their warranty, is not covered when the glass is broken, consider it a GIFT. Try getting an offer like that from Jeld Wen, Champion, Pella, Anderson, anyone! The cost to venture out with a truck and an insured employee far exceeds the situation. A trip to Morton Grove to fix one "out of warranty" window sash, even for $100 would have been doing you a favor. I've dealt with nearly everyone in that office and the truth of the matter reminds me of an old saying: You can catch more flies with honey than you can with vinegar. Lesson learned, Shelby. Try a different approach next time. Those people are angels, and I speak from years of experience. John MacNaughton GC and Remodeling Consultant MacNaughton Remodeling read more

I have never bothered to write a review for a place, good or bad before.BUT I AM SO UPSET WITH THIS COMPANY THAT I AM TAKING THE TIME TO MAKE A YELP ACCOUNT TO WARN PEOPLE. I cannot say enough bad things about the unprofessional and careless manner in which this business is being run. Not a single person, from the associates who answer the phone, to even the owner (Robert) knows the definition of "customer service". I have been dealing with this company for an entire month now (the first call I made to them was on July 18th and today, it is August 19th) and yet, my issue has YET TO BE RESOLVED. I called them several times in the last month because I have a crack in a window pane and their associates told me that it would cost me $50 to replace. I found that to be reasonable and said okay but I would not be able to bring them the glass, I needed them to do the un & re - installation. The associate who picked up the phone at their store said that they will only do that if the window is purchased from them. Again, that sounded reasonable so I said I would confirm. When I called back yesterday to confirm that the window was theirs, a different associate (Jennifer) picked up and informed me that they would now charge me an extra $90 (on top of the previously agreed upon $50) for the installation. NOT A SINGLE PERSON IN THE STORE MENTIONED THIS CHARGE EVEN ONCE DESPITE ME ASKING THEM MULTIPLE TIMES ABOUT THE PROCESS. When I told Jennifer about this, she couldn't care less and said to me "Well that was the responsibility of the person who you spoke to here before, not mine". ANYONE WHO ANSWERS THE PHONE FOR THE NUMBER LISTED FOR YOUR BUSINESS IS THE BUSINESS'S RESPONSIBILITY. IT IS THE OWNER, ROBERT'S RESPONSIBILITY TO TRAIN HIS ASSOCIATES. Not only was Jennifer rude and uninterested, she said to me "I AM the manager" and hung up on me when I asked for a manager. I called back to speak to the owner, Robert, who was just as uninterested. Eventually, I gave up and told them that I would just figure out how to do the installation myself (after Robert gave me a condescending lecture about how "incredibly easy" it is and how "everyone knows how to do this". I called back today to give him the serial number of the glass as he had requested. I asked to speak to him as I have already had bad experiences with the incompetence of his staff. He told me he "does not have time for this because he is "very busy". WHAT ABOUT THE ENTIRE MONTH THAT I WASTED ON THE PHONE WITH HIS STAFF? Is he the only person in this world that has work to do?! He then shoved me off to an associate named Mario. Mario gave me a price of $66 and when I asked why the price is different than the $50 I was initially told, he said, "It doesnt matter what they told you, it matters what I tell you". WHAT KIND OF SCAM ARE THEY RUNNING? And when I asked about why he, interrupted me and spoke over me. NO WONDER EVERYONE IN THIS PLACE SAYS SOMETHING DIFFERENT BECAUSE ABSOLUTELY DO NOT CARE WHAT IS GOING ON. When I got upset at being disrespected and talked over, I asked to speak to Robert and Mario straight up refused and said "he is very busy, do you want it or not?". Save yourself the time and respect, STAY AWAY FROM HERE. read more

This feedback is about the service and professionalism of this company, especially once they have taken your money. The quality of the windows is decent, but do not expect post-sale service from this company, unless they think you will do more business with them. Here is the story, and I have evidence, if anyone is interested: I spent approximately $6,000 busy new windows and patio doors from Advanced Windows between December 2013 and March 2014. In the beginning, everyone was very helpful, especially after finding out how many windows I wanted to purchase. It started well. All windows I purchased had attached brickmould for new construction. They sent me one window without the brickmould, and my contractor installed that window. I went back to Advanced Window, and they gave me the brickmould separately I inquired that if I cannot install the brickmould to the window, would they send someone to install the brickmould. The answer was "ofcourse, yes." Well, the brickmould did not fit, it was too big for the window. I took the brickmould back to them ... they told me I was not doing it right so to go an try it again ... I took it back and tried ... did not fit ... brought it back to Advanced Widnows. Yet they told me "I do not think you are putting in right." I requested them to send someone and get the brickmould installed, because it was a mistake Advanced Windows made of giving me a window without the brickmould. The answer Daniel provided was, "your only option is to unistall the window, bring it here with the brickmould and we will fix it." My begging led nowhere. Literally, the suggestion was "too bad for you." COmpare this to what was told to me when I was still buying windows from them. I was told, "yes, we can send someone out to your place." I had to Pay someone $50 to uninstall the window, I had to rent a larger car than mine for $70 a day, spend my time taking it to Advanced Windows. This window was a 6-foot window. Now for the professionalism in there office: Thinking that I don't understand Polish language, I would often hear the word "kurwa." Feel free to research, what this word means, and then decide whether this is racism. I am brown skinned. read more

Advanced Windows 4500 Series tilt turn window is fantastic. It is the preferred window we put in basements for egress units. We have been installing them for about 5 years with zero problems. We installed one house full of the 5200 series windows and had no problems. There are some very cheaply made windows (wood and vinyl) out there so do your research. Our experience is the windows from Advanced are all well made. We have had no problems with service or follow up from the sales staff but again, we are builders so we walk in knowing what we want.
