Bought a front door and sliding glass door several years ago. Both were good. Last October it was hard to push the sliding glass door. A rep from Dilworth came out and put new rollers on the bottom of the door. It worked good until the next day when it didn't. I called the company and told them about it. My handyman was out a couple of days latter and I told him about the door. He went outside and opened a latch and put a screwdriver in and turned it a little. The height of the rollers were adjusted and the door slid perfectly. I called Dilworth and told them about that. I told them I didn't need new rollers. I just needed the door to be adjusted. They said someone would call me back. I called several times and they always had a lot of excuses. Nothing was done. I paid $480 for nothing. read more

I also have had the same experience as a previous reviewer. The company wants to charge me $50 to process a screen replacement that is under warranty. (they are not installing or delivering the screen either, we are responsible to pay the fee and pick up the screen) I was told that this would be free and nothing about a service fee is ever mentioned. The sales team obviously feels they have to lie to people to get their business. Beware and stay away the true reviews always come from the customers that need to hold the company to what they promised. Again I will not be recommending them to anyone. read more

This is a small but mighty staff that knows how to do everything to perfection. They were neither the highest or lowest bid, but they did the best job at replacing all 40 windows in our house. In fact, our place was cleaner after they left because they were so good about clean up. It's been a few years since they finished and the windows are holding up so well. ** As you all can see from their response, they believe that asking for payment on a LIFETIME WARRANTY is justified! Sunrise provided the window so why can't Dilworth just honor the warranty?? They fill their answers with mumbo jumbo, but at the end of the day they did nothing but process our warranty request which should cost us NOTHING! A LIFETIME WARRANTY means just that! We should not have to pay anything for a defective product! Dilworth is trying to make a few dollars that they don't have coming. The BBB only closed the case because Dilworth would not budge and there was no sense in keeping it going. They do not decide right or wrong. My position is that I am perfectly content with addressing their company with everyone I know whether they ask me or not! We have lived in our home for a number of years and know so many people. Jerry Dilworth came for an estimate. He was thorough and kind. He gave us a price on a new door. He also told us many, many things about our existing sliding doors that we didn't know. He actually was so fair and professional that he told us we could do things to repair our existing doors (we have to contact the manufacturer for that... Dilworth doesn't do that work) and that that would be a better route than purchasing new doors. He is a man of unusual integrity, and if we ever actually do need a new door, he's going to be the first one we call. read more

Just when you thought the world no longer had companies that valued quality, craftsmanship, honesty, fairness and client satisfaction...along comes Dilworth. I can't remember ever coming across a business that i would give a stronger recommendation to than Dilworth. If your home needs new windows, you should call Dilworth. Here's my story: My home is about 30 years old and we've owned it for about 10 years. We had wanted to upgrade the windows for years, but we put it off - it's a big investment, of course, and we assumed it would be a dirty job. But, we decided to move ahead this year, so we did what you do on a big project: we made calls and talked to some companies and job recommendations and quotes. We didn't know Dilworth when we started, but something told us right away that A) Dilworth actually cared about finding the right replacement approach and in explaining the choices to us (we didn't know there were so many different ways to replace windows) AND B) Dilworth was 100% focused on our satisfaction. After some research and debate with the wife about the right approach -- we put in a call to a past Dilworth customer -- who gave us as glowing a review as you could imagine (definitely 5-star kind of review). So, we chose Dilworth to replace every window in the house (there are 57 of them). Dilworth was not the lowest bid, mind you - but i believe that their price was fair relative to the quotes we got from other replacement installers, and i believe that the quality of what they offered was far superior to the others quotes we received. Now that i've seen the quality of what they delivered, the price was much better than "fair". So, that was why we chose Dilworth. Now for the "pudding", as they say (i.e., the proof that's in...). Our window job is now finished and it's terrific. We couldn't be happier. I had no idea how important the details that Dilworth explained to us would be (duh, you experts say). A window is a window -- so the window is all the matters, right? Wrong. Jerry Dilworth walked us through Dilworth's approach: use a team that is the very best at what they do; use a team of Dilworth employees (not subcontractors) who buy into the Dilworth approach that customer care and a quality job are Job #1. I didn't get it at the time, but Jerry was passionate about his company. Now i understand. Everything he promised - Dilworth delivered. Q: ever hear a company promise the "basics" when they want your business: stuff like "we'll be on-time; we'll do great work; we'll leave everything nice and clean"? Yep...I've heard that one before. Dilworth promised these things too. I'd come to kind of discount these promises, cause they never seem to happen. It's just the way it is. But, Dilworth delivered on every single count. These guys are pros and their word matters. What i assumed would be a painful process was absolutely painless. Every day was like clockwork. Other than the progression of new windows each day, you would never know they were there at day's end. Lastly - a point about the importance of reputation and word of mouth (and why i'm writing this review). Dilworth asked if they could put a sign in the yard to let folks know they were doing the job. Word of mouth is key to them (which says a lot). Of course, i said. I take it as a positive sign that neighbors actually reached out to tell me their own 5-star experiences with Dilworth. It's no surprise to me that the Yelp reviews are straight 5-star (save for one...). Good companies who do good work and value their customers should be rewarded - and that happens when people speak up. I can't speak to the experience of the 1-star reviewer, i can only tell you about my own. Based on what I experienced, my vote is clearly with the majority. One thing i can say with 100% confidence is that Dilworth is definitely NOT a replacement window company in the "quick and dirty" camp. That's just plain wrong. The Dilworth team (both the team in the office and on the job) was 100% professional, 100% clean and 100% thorough...oh, and 100% nice -- which counts a lot in my book). In January we had 24 oversized windows replaced in our home by Dilworth Windows & Doors Inc. It was a 5 star experience from start to finish. Working with everyone from this company was a pleasure. Jason Bye the salesman is very knowledgable and came up with great options and ideas for some trouble spots we had. He makes you feel very comfortable and never once did I feel I was being "sold" something. There was never any pressure at all. He explained all options along with pros and cons specific to our situation. It's always a challenge when spending a lot of money on large items to get the best value. We received an excellent product for a fair/good price. Well worth it! Jill Cree in the office always kept us informed and was always pleasant to deal with. Note, this is not a review about the quality of their windows, price, or anything. I walked away disgusted well before considering hiring them for window replacement. I consider myself a handy guy and have gotten a quick education on window replacement and window replacement companies. It seems Window Replacement companies fall into one of two camps: quick and dirty OR do the job proper but more expensive. From my brief conversation with the sales rep with Dilworth is definately quick and dirty. (Here's my rant - You can have the best window money-can-buy installed, but if it's not installed properly, it will leak air, allow for heat loss, etc.) They make you fill out this stupid card when you enter the showroom. (contact info, #s and types of windows blah, blah, blah) I guess the card is so he doesn't actually have to talk to me to understand by requirements. I told him our wood frames were rotten and smelled of mold. He showed us the two types of window they install. (Note:I don't have an issue with the quality of the windows they sell.) He immediately then wanted to schedule an appointment to measure windows and do a quote. Whoah...step back buddy . What about the installation process? How do you guys install your windows? He looks at me incredulously like that question has never been asked before. He tells me they remove the basic working parts of the original window but leave the rotten moldy frame in place!! (quick and dirty) I ask him what about removing the old window back to the studs. He looks at me annoyed and starts arguing why would I want to do that? "We can do that I guess if you want." I said at this point thank you for your time and move to leave. He's like "What's wrong? Why do you not want a quote?" I'm like thanks, but if you're preferred method is to leave the frame in place, I'm not interested in dealing with you. I took back the stupid card I filled out. Don't want any hate calls. read more

They were all very knowledgeable and extremely respectful and courteous. Also meticulous throughout the installation. Our trim on the outside and inside looks as if it hadn't been touched. We have had our windows from Dilworth for about a year now and I would like to say my wife and I are very happy with our decision. We looked at two other companies, both well known and one a national brand, and we selected Dilworth. Jason was our rep and we felt he was open and honest with us. He answered all our questions and even came back to respond to follow-up questions we had before we made our final decision. We were a little disappointed in the length of time we had to wait for the windows but that was not the fault of Dilworth. If you remember we had a rather rainy summer and early autumn, and this pushed out their installation schedule. But once the team got here, they completed the installation in less time that they estimated. We were more than happy with their work. During the installation the team foreman approached me and explained the frame on one the of the bedroom windows had cracked. He finished the installation and had already ordered a replacement window even before letting me know of the problem. He explained they had no idea where or when the frame cracked but we had nothing to worry about as they would replace it for free. Additionally, the crack was not in a location that compromised the structural integrity of the window unit. The replacement arrived, we scheduled a date for it to be installed, and we have been enjoying our new windows ever since. We purchased our home in the spring and fortunately never had to endure a winter with the old windows, but we are very glad we did not as the windows we purchased from Dilworth worked better than we had hoped. As one would expect with new windows we are not experiencing drafts and the windows do not transfer the outside cold into the house or vise-versa. To sum things up. If you are looking for new windows for your home, be it one or twenty three like ours, look around, do your due diligence and get quotes from a variety of sources but please, please make sure you give Jason and the entire team at Dilworth an opportunity. We had a whole new set of windows installed a few months ago and they are far superior to the other windows that we were pricing. Our salesman spent the time to review our needs and worked with us to make sure that we were happy. He was extremely professional and knowledgeable and it was a pleasure to work with him. Had some windows in our home replaced by Dilworth. From beginning to end we had a very positive experience. During the initial estimate, we were given options and colors to choose from, questions were answered without a whole long song and dance. Price was comparable to other companies we received. On the day of installation they came right on time in the morning, set up and completed the job within the expected time frame. Installers were respectful of our home and cleaned up. They completed most work inside of the home in a timely manner and finished up outside which was nice to be able to get back to using our home without them working! Overall, I would highly recommend Dilworth for window replacement. I am hoping we see great performance for many years with our new windows, time will only tell! I needed 15 windows replaced in my home. I secured bids from 4 window companies. The Dilworth sales rep (Jason) was by far the most knowledgeable and most courteous. No high pressure sell. He came in, discussed all the options, advised what would work best and provided 2 quotes based on what I felt were the best 2 options. I did not know much about their flagship product, Sunrise Windows. But, after seeing the quality, and knowing that they provide a lifetime warranty, I was hooked. No one else provides a lifetime transferrable warranty. Dilworth's price was competitive and reasonable compared to the other bids I secured. The windows were ready in about 5 weeks from final contract signing. Dilworth said 1.5 days to install. 15 windows? I said no way. The 3 man crew arrives on time on scheduled day. This crew was professional and polite. All 3 introduced themselves to me. The tarps went down and the ladders up. These guys are up and running quickly. I left for work and came home in the evening. You could not even tell a window crew had been there. The clean-up was fantastic. They did 10 windows in 1 day. The new windows look great inside and out! The carpentry work inside was flawless. Same on the exterior cap and trim work. The next day, they were done in 1/2 a day for my final 5 windows. Again, the house is left immaculate. This crew was all pro. I am 100% satisfied with the windows, the installation, Jason and all of the people that I dealt with at Dilworth. They are a great company to do business with. read more

My Dilworth salesman was Jason. He and I spoke for 20 minutes about a new windowsill and how I hated the current sill. I was very forceful in saying that it needed to be replaced. Yet, he forgot to put it in the contract. The way Dilworth works.... If it's not in the contract you don't get it. I paid approximately $3700 for these new windows. The gentlemen who installed my bedroom window were very nice. I was not home when they installed the windows so I wasn't able to correct the installers. The installers tidied up the baseboard windowsill that was already there. When I returned home Jason was waiting for me because he wanted his money. I commented that there was no windowsill he said he didn't remember the conversation. The new windows were very nice and my experience was very good until Jason made his mistake. Jerry Dilworth tried to rectify the situation and said he would charge me $178 for a new windowsill. But his wife Karen is so adamant about the payment being in the form of a check. I explained to her that I had to pay by credit card because I was short money until the end of the month, and this was very last minute. Karen does not know how to treat single senior citizens! Her argument was that they had to pay 5% to the credit card company that only ads up to approximately $9.00. How cheap can you get. I'd rather have $168 than no money at all. She was so rude I canceled everything. She even had the gall to say to pay my other vendors by credit card and not Dilworth. It doesn't work that way!!!!! Because of her behavior Dilworth lost out on $5700 for the replacement of the living room balcony doors. It seems that Dilworth is only interested in money not in making their customers happy and retaining them as return clients. I would recommend Dilworth Windows and Doors for the quality of their windows but not for their service; Especially the rudeness of Karen Dilworth. After 40 years in our family home it was time for my folks to have their windows replaced. With high recommendations from the next door neighbor, we reached out to Dillworth and met with Jason Bye. His name should actually be Jason "Hello!" Because that's exactly the feeling you get with this professional, knowledgeable, detail oriented, and personable young gentleman. I can't say it enough. Jason is THE BEST in sales and customer service. Mind you, our family home was in need of whole house replacement windows and Jason spent many hours explaining, measuring, showcasing, and guiding us through the whole process with absolutely no pressure at all. Who knew windows (and patio doors) could be so complex and structurally complicated? Jason does! He has the vision and creativity one can only ask for in making big decisions that feel too overwhelming to make on your own. Our Dilworth salesman was fantastic! He worked up several options of doors and storm doors in a few different price points because we needed to stay within a budget. We wound up replacing both our kitchen doors and our front doors and we love them!! Time and attention was also spent to find the perfect colors. The gentlemen that installed both sets, at two separate times were very professional and paid great attention to detail. They respected my home and came in and left it in the same condition, except to say-with new awesome doors! Both the process of delivery and installation were timely. We got a better quality Provia door for thousands (yes that is right 1,000s) less than we were quoted for a mid range Therma Tru. The windows were also priced better than the other competition. In the four years we have had them, we have had to have a deadbolt replaced (under warranty) and the handles replaced (not under warranty.). read more

They were not just interested in signing a contract, but also wanted to make sure I was comfortable and happy with what I was doing. It was a whole house window replacement. The salesman made sure I was happy with my color choice and style. He was there at the beginning, paid a visit during installation and again at the end. The installers were courteous and accomadating to me. The job was big and took more than one day, but they did an excellent job of cleaning up and being respectful of the rest of my house. Each window was removed in entirety inside and out. It was not just the center as I've seen on some of my friend's replacements. All the inside wood trim was replaced and arrived finished and ready for installation. I know people who then had to stain all of this themselves, which would not have been possible for me. We had a fantastic experience with Dilworth Windows. We worked with Jerry and he was great. We had 4 or 5 windows that we definitely needed to replace. We ended up replacing every window in the house plus the back patio door. Jerry was very knowledgeable and helped us through the process start to finish. He and my wife designed some custom windows for the for the front and back of the house (I stayed out of the way). The installers came in and they were very professional, polite, and respectful. Every day when they left, they left no trace that they were even in the house. I watched the install and they were fast and efficient. We have a cedar sided home and they trimmed part of the siding back to get the window flashing behind the cedar, then they caulked the seems with an immaculate bead of caulk all the way around the window. Perfect, no wind, no rain, awesome. Post installation follow up was awesome. Dilworth made certain we were satisfied with every aspect of the project. I have never had follow from any other contractor as I did with Dilworth. I should mention that we found Dilworth through a referral from friends.
