Barry understood our needs, the price was less than some of the other competitors but not so much that I worried about quality. From ordering the custom door to the date of install was only a couple of weeks. On the date of install, Nick arrived early and got right to work. The door was installed, looks great and Nick did a great job of cleaning up. I had a question about the door the next day and Barry came out and cleared up that question in minutes. We will definitely use thermalcraft in the future!

When my wife and I moved into our first home we were super excited...and scared. We didn't know…read morewhat was going to be that first surprise cost as homeowners. After moving into a place that is very close to the L and about 17 years old we soon discovered our windows needed to be replaced. Not only were they hardly blocking any sound of the trains going by, but the wood around them was starting to rot. We did a lot of research and called quite a few vendors one of which was Marvin. The rep they suggested was Revisions and boy am I glad that we go them. Patrick was the first person we met who came by our place to chat about options. He knew his stuff and had a laptop with him to easily pull up info he didn't have off the top of his head. After making our selection we met Rob who would be doing the actual install. He stopped by to make some final measurements and was very personable and even answered some extra questions we forgot to ask Patrick. On the day of the install Rob and Leo, another employee, came in and got the old windows out and the new ones up in about 8 hours. The new windows look great and they block out SO much more noise. Rob and Leo even added some more insulation to help with the cold winters and added some wood panels to sections of our frames that weren't looking so nice. My wife and I are more than pleased with the outcome and I highly recommend Revisions if you're looking for new windows.

Horrible experience all around. This company should be out of business…read more We had (and continue to have) an incredibly frustrating experience dealing with Revisions Window & Door. Despite paying over $70,000 for new doors and windows for the front of our house, the experience and quality of the install and product are horrible. The installation resulted in one of the sidelight windows on our door being shattered, and the replacement process took over 8 months because they ordered the wrong size window for the initial replacement. We live in the heart of Chicago and this posed a safety concern. This also caused us significant financial losses because we rent our house for production and photo shoots and were unable to do so with a shattered front door (which is front and center in our living room). To make matters worse, Revisions refused to offer any form of discount or credit for their mistakes. During install they also realized they didn't measure a door frame correctly which resulted in a change order and them charging us more than our contractual agreement. However we just experienced the biggest issue less than a year after our doors and windows were installed. The recent snow and rain in Chicago revealed a major flaw - the french doors in our bedroom are leaking, allowing massive amounts of water to seep in, which has caused significant damage to the trim, flooring and ceiling on the floor below. This experience has been a nightmare and the worst experience I've ever had with a company. I would not recommend this company to anyone. They sell a commodity product -- look elsewhere and you will find much better quality and service. I wish I did.

We were nervous because we were installing three new windows on a blank wall of the living room of our 100 year-old house. Now the job is done and we couldn't be happier. Jacob and his assistant came out to give a quote quickly and showed up when they said they would. They explained the process thoroughly. They were extremely responsive to my emails before the installation. During the installation, they were quick, clean, courteous and thorough. Most importantly, the windows look awesome. Several people said they look like they have always been there. Looking forward to using Cook County Windows again to replace old windows in our bedroom soon! Use this company, you wont regret it

There was no pressure, plenty of relevant answers and pricing that was extremely fair (and we had many competitors quote on our project). We've went through a historically cold period in Chicago and the windows made a significant difference on the indoor temperature of my unit. No more drafts and swirling chilly air close to the patio doors or windows. All the glass is still clear, no leakage despite the bone chilling frightful temperatures outside and a couple nights of horizontal freezing rain. I'm a retired trades worker with over 30 years of experience. From my observation viewpoint the installers engaged in best practices. The worksite was broom clean when the workers left. There was some dust, but it's construction. I happened to catch a windy day in mid November, which is on me since I didn't start getting estimates until the end of September. The installation beat the first snowfall by a three days. Timing was perfect as it was an insect free experience. I had 3 estimates and Certified Window beat the other firms by a significant margin. I appreciated that they were located in the City of Chicago and have been in business since 1955, so they have a good track record of service in our community. I enjoyed collaborating with Frank Matz on the project and appreciate all of the hard work by the installers. I highly recommend Certified Window after their upgrading my patio doors and windows.

He…read morewas everything you'd want in a sales guy: professional, not pushy, personable and very responsive through the process. We sat with four companies, and Leo sold us on the history of Rusco, quality of craftsmanship and lifetime warranty. We started the process at the start of Sept. and our door was up at the start of Nov. With the cost of the door north of $6K, I was really expecting the contractors to do a seamless job, but that is where Rusco fell short. They were VERY quick to install and during the process chipped our new railing. I understand they were working in a small space, but it couldn't have been the first time working in such a confined location. After they left, the doorframe was not what I had expected in terms of high quality work. I would think they would have enough stain to spare for the ends of the top of the frame (I brought this up to the contractors and they said they didn't have any stain left). There is also white coming through the top doorframe. I reached out to Leo and he told me to wipe it with a wet towel (which obviously already tried prior to reaching out). They assumed it was sheet rock and thought it was dust. The wet cloth did nothing...Leo called on 11/11 and asked if he and another guy could stop by, which they did on that day. The first thing they tried to do was wipe it with a wet cloth (again had already tried that) and then nothing. They were perplexed and said they'd come back the following week with stain and fix it up. It has been radio silence since this moment. Overall, we really do love our door. It is beautiful, but we could have received the same exact door from a number of other companies and we have some regrets with selecting Rusco. After paying the money we have, we should not have to chase and we feel the job should have been completed seamlessly. You live and you learn.
