I found JJ Construction through Yelp. I would highly recommend JJ Construction. They provided an honest quote. I actually went out and received 4 quotes. While JJ wasn't the lowest, they were the most comprehensive. For example, all of the other quotes quoted the shingles and work, but JJ Construction quoted shingles, tiles, gutters, and all hardware (new fans/vents/gutters). They are highly skilled. They did not rush the project (who wants a roofer who rushes?) and cleaned up every day. Communication was excellent. They installed Class 4 shingles, which lowered my home owners insurance by 20%. The work quality was top notch. I was highly impressed by JJ Construction and I would recommend them to anyone. Thank you Matt, for a great job. read more

The guys did an excellent job with replacing the siding on my home from installing the insulation and the house wrap to applying the siding. They were very meticulous with every detail around the house. Cleaned up every day before they left. Voytek always a phone call or text message away if I had any questions or concerns. I would definitely use them again for any other projects in the future. read more

I had to recently replace my roof and got a bunch of different quotes. JJ Construction was very easy to deal with and really made me feel like they cared about providing good service. I am very happy with the roof and gutters and am confident that if there are any sort of issues in the future that they will be helpful again. They were also very quick to respond and worked to get the permits necessary. I didn't have to do anything in this process, which was really nice. read more

No wonder everyone gives JJ Construction 5 stars!!! They are the best!!! I selected this fantastic team out of 4 other estimates because they had the best price, Kacper was the best representative, they use the best shingles and they have proof of insurance attached to the written estimate. They only use the OwensCorning Duration which is the only one I wanted because it's rated the best by Consumer Reports and many other reviewers. They have seasoned professional carpenters that showed up early and finished in one day. I can't recommend them enough. My wife and I are extremely grateful we found Jacek and Kacper on Yelp. Wonderful service, quality products at the best, fair, reasonable price. read more

We had JJ Construction replace our roof and gutters. Price was competitive and service was outstanding. The full roof replacement took just a day, our neighbors were amazed! There was excellent communication throughout the process, team was highly responsive. Rafal personally came out multiple times to sweep our lawn for nails after the job was done. Highly recommend Rafal and his team! read more

I had both my roof and siding replaced by JJ. The quality of work is great, and I am happy with the results. I worked with Matt initially, but I had some concerns that I felt weren't being addressed. Before the project ended, Rafal came out and looked over everything and we came up with a plan to address the issues. I really appreciated his attention to detail and feel like I'm in good hands now. read more

I ended up going with another company for my project, but still consider my interactions with JJ Constructing a positive experience. Voytek was able to come out within a few days, walk around the house and take photos, and talk to me about the process to replace the roof. A couple days later I got the estimate. It was roughly the same as other estimates I received (in other words it seems like a fair price). I like that the estimate was clearer to read and they included a diagram/analysis of my roof to show that they considered the shape and angles, not just square footage. The only reason I did not go with this company is because they said they will not do the work until spring (they would install a tarp until then) - this makes sense (look up winter roof replacement online to see the challenges), but I felt I was not in a position to delay the project. I would definitely consider them for future projects. I'll update my review if/when that happens. read more

We had JJ Construction replace the roof and gutters at my mother's house. Their estimate was the best out of the three companies I contacted. Their work also went beyond what other companies had quoted, by replacing existing vents with roof ridge vents. They were very responsive and professional in all interactions and questions. They made a point to leave the work site in great condition and paid attention to small details, which really mattered. Highly Recommend JJ Construction and will be using them when we replace the roof on my house. read more

JJ Construction replaced my roof and gutters, and I was very happy with the work. At the end of last year Voytek came out and gave a detailed quote that was very competitive with other companies I requested quotes from. The team came out this Spring and completed the job in just 2 and a half days. Everything looks great, they cleaned up, and the total came out exactly as quoted. I would recommend them for your roofing/gutters needs. read more

Lady that answers the phone is not the nicest person in the world. She answered by saying "Hello", I responded with "Hello, how are you today?" and her response was "Umm, in a meeting!" I continued the conversations but I could tell she wanted nothing more then to get off the phone. They probably do good work but don't expect good customer service via phone. read more

It was great working with Rafal at JJ Construction. After 4 estimates we felt his was the best especially with his attention to details. Communication was great! Rafal was always a call or text away with any questions we had. His team was always on time and worked so quickly to get the job done. Highly recommend JJ Construction. When the boss is the owner there is so much pride in their work and it shows. read more

I asked Rafal to quote me on removing 2x satellite dishes and shingle replacement on my rental property, as well as seal some gaps where the roof meets the fascia. Rafal's quote was incredibly reasonable, he came out the same week, communicated thoroughly, found the same exact replacement shingles, and fixed my problem areas. The best contractors I have ever hired. Rafal from JJ Construction worked with me through an insurance claim for damage to my roof from a hail storm. The Allstate Insurance claim process was a complete nightmare due to their agent's incompetence. Rafal was in near daily contact with the insurance agent to correct line items in their estimate. With Rafal's perseverance, I received more money than Allstate's original estimate. Once I received the insurance money, Rafal and his crew came out that week and started installing the new roof. Besides the good job Rafal and his crew did installing the roof, the best thing about JJ Construction was their excellent communication with me and with the insurance agents. read more

I was dreading roof and gutter replacement just based on the cost but learned of mold in the attic and needed to get the job done before the weather turned. I live in the North Shore and originally reached out to the company that has trucks all over the area and is highly recommended and waited 3 weeks for our roof to be looked at and after I gave the go ahead there was not a response for a week and I needed to get this done. So...for the first time ever I turned to Yelp for services and not just to write a review on a business. My reasoning behind this is that my own business has benefited significantly from the Yelp community and decided to seek out a business like mine, as far as reviews go, and let me tell you, I wish I did this from the beginning. Since I was not receiving a response from the local company I Yelped JJ Construction and they were out the next day and were then all set with moving forward prior to hearing back from the local company. Roofing is expensive and you can try to save, but the most important thing is how things are done. The team at JJ Construction could not have been more professional with explaining all the work being done, made sure that everything was covered and cleaned up all debris that may have missed a tarp. In addition, they pointed out existing issues with ventilation and fixed. As I write this review the team is finishing up the project and do not have a before and after picture to share but once I have I will post. This could not have worked out better. Lastly...JJ Construction is very competitive in pricing Thank you JJ Construction! read more

Just had a new roof (it was a tear-off) installed. Reasonably priced - used top rated shingles - completed in one day - no "leftover" nails, trash, etc. Awesome result - a beautiful new roof! read more

Requested quotes from a few places and Paul from JJ construction was the first to come out and look at the job. We had a small roof leak and separately some old gutters that needed replacing. He showed me exactly where the roof was leaking and recommended saving money and fixing myself. He also showed me some quick fixes we could make to hold over the gutters a few more years until we are ready for a roof. He recommended waiting to do gutters at same time as the roof. No charge. Talk about an honest standup guy, will not hesitate to call him back when we are ready to do the roof.l and gutters in a few years. read more

We hired JJ Construction to replace our roof on our 100 year old bungalow and we couldn't be more satisfied with the work that they did. From the very detailed estimation process to the communication (via text at my request) to the quality of the actual roof replacement and clean up to the payment (which included replacing damaged wood under the roof at the price he quoted) it exceeded our expectations. Rafal took lots of photos while on the roof before and after to show me what he was seeing. His crew was great and he assured me they have years of experience at JJ unlike the crews at a lot of the competitors. The price was very fair as I received an additional bid that was more and less comprehensive. read more

JJ Construction did an excellent job on our roof. They were very responsive and provided a quote quickly. We worked with Matt who oversaw the job. He was excellent to work with very responsive to any questions. They did the entire thing in one day with a crew of 10 people, including the owner of the company for part of the time. The roof looks great! They came back the next day to install the metal roof over the porch. We highly recommend these guys. read more

100% satisfied with JJ Construction. We used them for new roof, gutters, and siding. Voytek (sales and project manager) is the best around. Very knowledgeable technically, super responsive, friendly and trustworthy. The work done was top notch. Andrew and Sylvester (siding guys) are excellent - top quality, friendly, and helpful. On top of all this, pricing was competitive as well. We had a big project and JJ Construction did not disappoint! read more

This place was great. Voytek was beyond helping walking me through the process. He explained why competitors prices were different and educated me on the materials that can be used. I have a flat roof so it is more complicated than getting just shingles. Definitely worth having them help you, plus it looks great read more

Last year we had new siding installed by JJ Construction. We had a good experience since the beginning. We had quoted two other companies and we picked them even though not the cheapest but not the most expensive. The project manager assigned always communicated promptly when asked questions from start to finish. Unfortunately, found out he does not work there anymore. They did take there time doing the installation but it was due to staffing issues but I would rather them take their time and do it right. this year we had an issue with our downspouts and they came out and fixed the issue. They also have a good rating in the BBB and no complaints. read more

Contacted 7 roofers before making a decision to have JJ Construction rebuild our roof, in large part due to the representative I engaged with. Voytek was more interested in solving problems related to our 100+ year home's frame and roof, than in selling me a new roof. His consultative style, technical skill and timely communication stood out among other reps that offered estimates for our work. I couldn't be happier with the end results. JJ Construction's solution resolved the issues we were having and perfomed the work faster than I'd anticipated, ahead of an insurance deadline we were working under. I will not hesitate to recommend Voytek and his company and would rate them with more than 5 stars if permitted. read more

We have a small leak in our roof so I messaged JJ Construction this morning. Paul quickly replied to my message and said he could come out same day to check it out. He assessed the roof and found that many of the shingles were loose and able to be pulled up. He advised that I could seal these up myself and it should take care of the problem rather than paying his team to rip it up. He thoroughly explained how to do so and agreed to send me a quote in case I do need his services. It's rare to find such an honest contractor. I will definitely be calling them for any future roofing needs! read more

JJ Construction recently re-roofed my 100+ year old residence, and I have nothing but good to say about the experience. A key component of my satisfaction was Voytek, the man who did the estimate, coordinated communication, and supervised the actual work. He was knowledgeable, articulate, experienced, considerate and dependable - I'd say he was the best contractor I've ever dealt with. He was very good at listening to our needs & questions, and at explaining what he was proposing and why. The price was competitive with other bids. The work itself went very smoothly; it was completed in one day, with minimal impact to our extensive landscaping, and negligible litter (we've found 3 small pieces of roofing material and 4 nails in the weeks following the work). It's rare that I give anyone a 5* rating, but JJ earned it -- they were truly exemplary! read more

After executing an agreement to have my front gutters replaced two weeks ago, JJ Construction sent me an "addendum" to sign today. Installation is supposed to be tomorrow. They wanted me to sign an addendum that states they will not be held responsible for any damage while they are removing and installing my gutters. What? Excuse me? You want me to TRUST you to do a great job and not mess up my roof while doing the replacement. And btw, if you do damage my roof you are not responsible? I do not trust anyone that doesn't want to back their own workmanship and doesn't have enough confidence in themselves to not damage my roof while doing a replacement of my gutters. I tried to get them to just limit damages to the definition of "minor scratches or dents". They refused. Their "addendum" specifically stated "any form of physical damage". Not only that, but they also wanted me to "adequately protect" the roof while they were doing the installation. Run. I also learned it wouldn't even be JJ Construction doing the work. They were going to contract the work out to an "old employee" of theirs. The representative actually told me and I quote, "He is better than any of the current installers we have". Well if that doesn't say anything. I would not recommend JJ Construction for any project. Hire someone that will stand behind their work and not hide behind a "Statement of Non-Responsibility." They canceled my contract - telling me it was "null and void". read more

Rafal and his team were a pleasure to work with from start to finish. He was the only roofer who I received quotes from who actually had an itemized report of what was getting completed. His price was more than fair; they were not the cheapest, but the cost was more than reasonable for the work being done. I'd probably be concerned if the price was too low, as I would be weary of material quality, craftsmanship, etc. They were on site promptly and finished in one day (I was quoted two days, but they spent extra time and finished in one). He was an excellent communicator, even with all of the silly questions that I asked. Even after the roof replacement was finished, he came by twice to check on the work. He was there for the vast majority of the job, so I knew he was overseeing the work and making sure the quality was on point. It is a family owned business and you can tell he takes pride in the work that they do. I would highly recommend him for your roof replacement. I have lots of confidence with their workmanship warranty and the OC shingles that they used! read more

Over Halloween, we had the living room ceiling cave in due to a roof leak that went unnoticed. We were very worried about the rainy and cold weather coming soon. We got 3 quotes, J J Construction was the middle one. Since the beginning we dealt with Voytek who has great communication skills, is very knowledgeable, and has great customer service skills. He explained everything, committed to fit us in on their already busy week, supervised the crew and even worked on our roof. 2 days later, just a week after receiving the quote, we have a beautiful new roof, 3 new skylights and the whole interior drywall fixed, repaired and painted. Just like if nothing happened! One awesome contractor for all our needs. I keep thinking that we were super lucky to find them, and plan to recommend them to friends & family. Thank you! read more

Working with Voytek at JJ Construction was such a great experience. He was friendly, responsive and I enjoyed working with the entire team. They replaced my roof and added siding to attic dormers. They were very quick about getting the permitting and scheduling a time to do the install which was much appreciated since I was coordinating with a solar install. They were conscientious about making sure everything was cleaned up especially with nails that I know are easy to lose track. The pricing was very fair and I'd definitely reach out to them first for any future roofing needs (which hopefully I won't need!). read more

Just had my roof, gutters, downspouts and fascia replaced and I couldn't be happier with the job JJ Construction did! Voytek was my contact and project manager. He's a super nice guy and a square shooter. He listened to all my concerns and explained all that would need replacing and fixing. There was no attempt to upsell. The final price was only $200 more than his estimate, which to me is absolutely no big deal. Because of all the spring storms we've had, he was honest about not being able to start for about 2 months. I understood, especially since my job was not an absolute emergency. They finished the job in 3 days. Voytek oversaw everything. He patiently answered any questions I had during the process. The crews were masked and very prompt and efficient. Clean up was impeccable. I have not found a single nail or anything else around the property. And the new gutters and fascia look great! I had contacted another contractor for an estimate. Not gonna lie, his estimate was several thousand dollars less than JJ's. But he didn't use the materials that, in doing my research, were acceptable. He also went into a lot of jabber about his personal life and things I didn't need to, or want to know about. (His alcoholism, his wife...stuff like that.) I just didn't have a good feeling about him. Add to that, he couldn't get to the job until at least late October...I guess since he's a mom/pop outfit and doesn't have multiple crews. Hence, choosing JJ was a no-brainer for me. I'll be contacting them again for some home renovations since I found out they also contract carpenters, etc. I would, without hesitation, recommend JJ Construction to anyone needing a job well done!!! Thanks again, Voytek! read more

JJ Construction did a GREAT job on our roof. We had it replaced last week. I am pretty touchy when it comes to the gardens around our house - other companies have trampled them while painting or doing other housework. JJ's crew did a great job of keeping the worksite clean and my gardens intact. Yay!!! Rafal, the owner, was on site the entire day. They did the whole job, start to finish, in one day. We had a lot of damaged wood that needed replacing and gutter caps they worked around, too, so I don't think it was an 'easy' job. Highly, highly recommend! We need some work done on our roof to get us through for a year or two. Rafal was timely and his quote was significantly lower than the others we had come out. His work was solid and he documented everything with photos. Honest, reliable and really nice to work with. He was the ONLY company that didn't try to oversell a new roof. We know we need one.
