Daniel responded to me on a Sunday, and scheduled my gutter cleaning for the very next day. I knew my gutters were filled with debris, and wow but they sure cleaned out those gutters. Daniel noticed that I had a few exposed nails on the roof (which can cause leakage!) and he silicone sealed the areas (additional charge). I'm disheartened to have to write a negative review for this contractor but they've given me little choice. I reached out to them last week to replace the siding on part of my townhouse and initially they were very responsive. They came out when they said they would for an estimate, were professional, and provided me with a well priced estimate. Unfortunately, that's when things went south. I sent them the specs for the materials required by the HOA and they didn't respond for 1+ days, when they had been replying within minutes before. I followed up the following day just for them to tell me the materials were "very expensive" and it'd be better if I ordered them and they just charge for the work. This was a very strange response as the materials are not expensive at all and they would be completely compensated for their cost anyways and contractors always take on the responsibility of procuring materials, that's just part of the job. I didn't quite understand but continued trying to move forward with them, stating that if I am the one to purchase the materials, they needed to provide me with exact info on what to purchase, with them responding "Yes, of course. I can tell you what we need". At this point, I asked for a formal quote to be sent to my email and for basic info like licensing and insurance information. I didn't hear from them again for over a day, at which point I texted again, and again didn't hear, until I texted again after another half day asking them to just tell me if they didn't want to or were too busy to do this job and they finally responded saying they had been busy and yes they could help with the material but not that they couldn't do the job. I then reiterated that I needed them to tell me what materials were needed and I needed the other info I asked for. Never heard from them again and it's been over 5 days. An interesting thing is that the contractor has read receipts on their messages, so I could tell they read the messages almost as soon as I sent them... I don't know why they didn't want to do the job after they spent time coming out to quote it and why they didn't just say they didn't want it even after multiple attempts from me to get a response. This is an unfortunate lack of professionalism that I just don't understand. Hopefully no one else has this same experience. read more

I hired this company for roof repair work and had a very good experience. Daniel was polite, professional, and very responsive. He came out the same day I requested a quote, took pictures of the damaged areas, and provided his estimate. The quote was competitive and included a 3 yr warranty for the work. Once hired, he readily provided proof of insurance and a write up of the project quote. My home's aluminum siding and gutters had some damage from a recent storm so I reached out to Lightning for a free quote. They were able to send somebody out the next day to take photos and give me an estimate and once I made the decision to proceed, they had a team out at 8 am the next morning.
