I was having some issues with a roof leak and had a company come out to tell me they wouldn't repair anything and recommended a full roof replacement. I am so glad I called Chicago Roofing Consultant next. Adam came out the next day to take a look and said that he could fix it right then and there, and also mentioned that the chimney needed tuckpointing (and provided pictures showing that yes, it did). The crew was quick, efficient, and took care of a few caulking issues as well while they were up there. I have my repair for a good price and am able to have peace of mind. I appreciated the honesty and prompt service. This was a great experience. read more

My partner and I recently had a pergola built on our rooftop by Chicago Roofing Consultant and we couldn't be more happy with the results. The process was super smooth from start to finish. We met with Adam to discuss the project and he helped us collaborate a design that works perfect for our space. Their prices were extremely fair and the workmanship is top notch. He and his team are friendly and efficient. They finished the project in the specified time frame and left our rooftop looking like they were never there. I would definitely recommend them for any roofing or deck building needs. read more

Never again! In May 2025, I hired CRC to replace a detached garage roof. They were responsive and came out to quote the project, and I essentially went with a full replacement. My garage rooftop deck is finished with Trex decking so part of the agreement was to remove the decking and reinstall it - as is - post roof replacement. They came out on schedule and removed the Trex and replaced the floor boards where needed - per our agreement they were also suppose to replace the liner but they didn't. No big deal - they replaced half of it that was sitting over the damaged wooden floor boards. Once the roof was replaced, I pushed them to complete a water test - I basically brought a hose up there and ran water to see how it would drain. The drainage was ok not great as you could see small shallow pools of water. When asked, they said it how the roof pitch is setup - so fine we move on. Once the roof is done, they start to install the deck. About 80% of the way through, I happen to do a quick check and notice the deck is clicking. Apparently, they did not purchase enough Trex clips that secure the boards to the sub frame. So they agree to purchase more and install them. The right way to do this would be to remove the deck boards and start over but they removed a few boards and slid the clips in and drilled the screws down. Here is where it all went wrong. They screw heads started to chip and break the edges of the Trex decking. You think with the owner standing there he would have told them to stop but they kept going and ruined my Trex decking. Zero quality control or management from the owners who are there to push their crew to complete the job fast and move onto the next one. Not only did the ruin it, they installed the deck boards at an angle so the deck isn't even straight. They agreed to find a solution and come back to repair - and even took a small piece with them to match colors. Months go by and I keep hearing excuse after excuse. I sent multiple emails to the owner and exchanged texts (all of which I have in my records). All I received in return were promises to touch base and then once winter came, we decided to push the repairs to spring 2026. So May rolls around and I started corresponding with the owner (Adam) - who doesn't even care to respond but has his father (Richard) who is involved with the business return phone calls (have voicemails to back this up). He tells me that he will add me to his schdue on a Saturday / so Sat rolls around and I don't hear a word. I chase them and wait around all day. No show and no phone calls. I call them on the following Monday and ask them to fix this issue but no response. I sent them an email asking them to call to sort this out and no response. I would AVIOD them at all costs / they will damage your property and not resolve it. Seems like they will say anything to get the business. If you lucky enough where damage didn't occur then great. They also offer a warranty - given this experience, I don't expect them to honor it irrespective of I have it in a written document. Super disappointed. I was quite patient and understanding but they took advantage of my flexibility. Additionally, they will ask you to pay with Zelle / cash. read more

These guys were great. They responded very promptly, were immediately accessible and kept good contact throughout the whole process, and were able to get the job started MUCH faster than I anticipated they would. It ended up being a more extensive repair than I think any of us had hoped, especially since they had to take apart and then redo the entirety of the roof deck and the built-ins, but they got it done in a really stellar fashion and you wouldn't know from looking at it that there were extensive dissassembly and repairs. The communication was great throughout and I'm very grateful to the team! read more

Adam and the CRC team were amazing from start to finish. Immediate and clear communication, fast service, and fair pricing. They did a fantastic job on the garage roof, and I'd hire them again. Highly recommend. read more

OK, I have hired these guys twice already. They do excellent work and the pricing is fair. The first time was to fix a skylight that was broken. They were the first people to call back when I was searching for a company, and they were out the next day to check out the work. They repaired the broken skylight and redid the flashing. I haven't had any leaks since. They did the work in one day, and I'm very happy with it. I brought them in a second time to fix some gutters because water was getting into my basement. Again, the work was done well and done quickly. The same day they finish the job, a big thunderstorm and roll through, and no water got into the basement. I brought him in a third time to fix some stuff around the chimney (flashing, tuck pointing), and again superb work!!! They are knowledgeable, friendly. They do great work, and I think they charge a fair price. I have other projects I need to do around the house, and I won't need to shop around for a contractor because I will be calling them and will continue to do so. 5 's all around!!! read more

Quick response and availability to quote out project. They were able to do the work same day as well.

I hired CRC to rebuilt my porch because of their good reviews on Yelp, but I am super disappointed by the overall quality of workmanship. Please see the pictures for all the points below. - Less than two weeks after my porch was built, I noticed that one of my steps was super wobbly. The anchor holding it in place was broken. They did fix this anchor later by nailing it back in place. Since then, I've noticed other anchors that have come undone. - They broke my fence and didn't tell me (I didn't notice it was broken until later). They did come "fix" it two weeks after they asked, but they just propped it up so it didn't look broken anymore. To be fair, the hinge on the fence was old, but they should have informed me instead of just leaving it on the ground. - The paint job for the deck was super sloppy. - They left tons of nails and wood pieces in my yard that I had to clean up myself (see the pic of the bucket full of some of the pieces). - One of the steps was noticeably crooked. I pointed this out after the deck was done, but they said they couldn't fix it. - After they finished, I noticed a wood piece attached to the railing was broken, which they did fix. I will say Adam, who was my point of contact, was responsive to all of my texts. They were slow following up on repairs. The job was done in a day, and it's pretty evident it was rushed. I've hired multiple contractors before and have never had any issues. That is to say, sometimes I read poor reviews on Yelp and chalk it up to the reviewers being picky and demanding, but that is not the case here -- the pictures attached to this review speak for themselves. My stairs should not be falling apart less than two months after they were built. Edit: I am not sure why the pictures are not showing up on yelp, so I linked them here https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1fTAcJbEUjQvrY81LpoWm_rXjn83RdaLL?usp=sharing read more

We had damage to our garage roof from a storm. There were holes in our roof and snow was coming inside the structure. Adam was able to come out same-day, give a very reasonable quote, and tarp the roof so it would be safe until his team could do the work. They came out a few days later and took care of everything in just a few hours. Adam seemed like a really nice guy who really cares about doing right by his customers. I'll definitely call them for any future roofing needs. Thanks Adam! read more

Mid-December, I discovered a tiny leak coming from my roof. After calling around and having a few roofers out to give us an estimate. Given the timing, the shorter daylight hours, and rainy weather, it took Adam from Chicago Roofing Consultant a couple of days before he could come out and give us an estimate (understandably so, i just mention it to temper your expectations in case of sketchy weather). I told Adam what i was seeing, he went up on the roof to check things out, and gave me his assessment and an estimate. Adam communicated the issues he saw, what the potential options were, and what it would cost and the potential timeframes he could do the work in. Of the roofing companies I talked to, Adam felt the most honest and the estimate most reasonable. Additionally, he sent over the estimate electronically after we spoke which made it easier to evaluate and make a decision. Additionally, Adam was super accomodating in getting the work done for us with the weather, and our availability. He also was kind enough to provide us with some progress pictures, since our roof isn't easily accessible (see attached). Thank you Adam and team for your wonderful work, and hope to not need your services again soon, but would gladly do so if needed! :) read more

Adam and his team were very responsive, had great communication, and did quality work for reasonable prices. We hired them to remove the stone coping on our parapet wall and replace it with metal as well as perform some masonry repairs and then hired them to come back and remove part of our roof deck and repair portions of the roof membrane that we failing and reseal the chimney penetrations to stop water intrusion we were having. Both jobs were done quickly and professionally and Adam and his team are friendly and great to work with. Highly recommend. read more

Adam and his team have helped our Ukrainian Village condo building a lot with two different repair jobs over the last few years (shingle replacement, flat roof leak repair), and he's been very easy to work with, so I'll confirm what other reviews say on that. We also recently had a contractor confirm the quality of their repair work when replacing drywall. Team is fast and professional. We'll be back for any additional needed roofing work. Thank you! read more

Responsive, reliable, and fast! They did great work when our gutter needed repair and made the process seamless. Also, fair price!

Chicago Roofing Consultants and Shield Masonry & Roofing, Inc. collaborated to build a new roof over my existing patio. I received a few quotes and they were the only ones who showed up on time with the roofer and contractor to take measurements, talk through what I wanted and provide a detailed quote when they said the would. They were able to start the work quickly and stayed in constant communication with me throughout the whole project which took just under two weeks. The workers showed up every day on time, and kept the work area clean. This team worked hard to deliver a quality product and they definitely delivered. I can finally sit outside on sunny/rainy days and enjoy the patio. The work was well done and reasonably priced. I would definitely work with them again on future projects. read more

These guys were fantastic. I had a piece of fascia blow off my house in a storm, contacted CRC on a Saturday morning. Adam and a crew happened to be in my area, stopped by that afternoon, and did a custom fix in about an hour. They even fixed a broken gate that they needed to open as part of the job. Saved me more work/cost! Couldnt be happier with their work, would definitely use them again. read more

Very nice experience, start to finish. Initially reached out and got a response same day and set up an appointment. They showed up on time for the appointment, diagnosed the problem from the street (drone was out of battery), gave me a quote and we set up a date for repairs. Showed up for the repairs on time then once on the roof realized the problem/solution was different so they adjusted the estimate down accordingly. Sent before and after photos once completed. It's day one, so hoping the craftsmanship holds as well as the service :) Recommend these guys. read more

We called Chicago Roofing Consultant and were considering a short term repair vs a full roof replacement. Adam came out to give us an initial quote then helped us fine tune the work we ended up having done based on long term durability of the roof and immediate costs. This was a great company to work with, plain and simple. Their initial price was very reasonable (as opposed to some other contractors who give a bloated first estimate in the hopes that you'll accept it without shopping around). They were on time, very responsive, even gave follow up calls. Their offering covered roof overlay, general roofing issues and sidewalk overlay, which I think is great if you don't need extremely detailed work to be done. However, other companies stated an in-depth scope of work was needed, beyond the general. So I would definitely use them for a less detailed job and especially for when you're on a tight budget, they offer a good and fair price. read more
