We are a six building townhouse community and have had TAR do 5 of our six roofs. They did a complete roof replacement and were meticulous about every shingle they placed. Communication was fluid and both the crew on the ground and in the office were perfectly coordinated. We couldn't be happier with the quality, clean up and value for the extensive work they did in replacing rotten wood and installing solar powered attic vents. We will have them back for the last roof and will continue to do business with them. Fantastic! read more

Avoid at all costs. We paid TAR $16,000 for a full replacement of our flat roof and within a week were getting stains on our ceiling during rain when we had never had leaking before. We gave them 7 opportunities over the course of an entire year to come out and fix the issue and each time their "fix" made the leaks worse. They gaslighted us consistently saying the roof wasn't the problem and had us chasing down other issues like tuckpointing, plumbing, sliding door replacements etc and nothing helped. The damage eventually got so bad that we needed a restoration company to come open up the ceiling in 3 rooms. We finally hired a second company to do another full replacement and haven't had a single issue since then. TAR refused to take any accountability or refund us any money. All told we are out over $40,000 thanks to TAR. read more

Do not hire TAR We paid TAR $16,000 for a full replacement of our flat roof. After a week we would get stains on our ceiling when it rained, which had never happened before. We gave TAR 7 opportunities over the course of an entire year to come out and fix the issue and each time their "fix" made the leaks worse. We could never get the workers to explain what they did when they came out, they'd simply say it was "fixed." Eventually it got so bad water started dripping through our third floor ceiling. TAR refused to accept blame and consistently said the roof wasn't the problem. TAR blamed other things like tuck-pointing, plumbing, and door replacements. Despite spending a significant amount of money replacing those things, the leaks continued. The damage eventually got so bad that we needed a restoration company to come open up the ceiling in 3 rooms. We finally hired a second company to do another full replacement and haven't had a single issue since. TAR refused to take any accountability or refund us any money. All told we are out over $40,000 thanks to TAR. They provided extremely poor work and service. read more

I am very pleased with the service and quality of work that TAR Roofing provided. They were extremely responsive from quoting through completion, their pricing is very fair, and their workmanship is very good! And, my new roof looks beautiful. Additionally, they did an excellent job cleaning up after the project was completed. I give them my highest recommendation! read more

Professional, reasonable, and great customer service. I barely knew they were working on the project, something I highly value.

Response is quick and swift. Professional team and excellent customer service! Would highly recommend TAR.

I had rain coming into the house from heavy storms overnight and contacted TAR Roofing for an assessment. TAR sent Alec within four hours and he quickly assessed and diagnosed the issue. I'll be receiving an estimate shortly. This was my third call to TAR Roofing (multiple projects/issues at my home) and they're delivering once again. read more

Amazing service from start to end. They performed the service better than our prior contractor for about the same cost. Our gutters were completely ripped off from the ice that winter and they came out and provided a complete, professional quote and their installers were in and out without any problems. read more

TAR had excellent communication and a skilled, hardworking crew. Reasonably priced. Highly recommend.

We had TAR Roofing recently replace the ~1,300 SF flat roof on our condo building. They came recommended and didn't disappoint. The whole experience was very positive. High level of customer service from every person with whom we interacted. They were responsive with the quote and scheduling the work. They were very efficient with removing existing decking and replacing the roof. They also didn't leave a trace of leftover debris. Highly recommend Damian and his team. read more

Wow!!! I was looking to replace the siding on the front of my house and to reframe out the windows. I am thrilled at the speed, quality and reasonable price. The house looks completely different and upgraded and TAR had the best pricing. They were a complete pleasure to deal with from the sales person (Krystian), project manager (Dominick) and the 3 man crew who did the work. I would absolutely recommend them and would hire them again in a heartbeat. read more

So I had several issues with the work TAR initially did for us and then came the kicker: another crew came out to replace our roof and they pulled back the siding TAR had installed one year prior to reveal that the moisture wrap didn't even go all the way around the structure. Seriously? I paid TAR to make these structures waterproof and they bailed without finishing the job. You can see in my photos how they left the edges and corners of my walls without the moisture wrap they promised. (They must have figured that I would never have the siding removed to see if they did the job correctly.) When I contacted Damian, he ultimately wrote, "I will be happy to send out a crew to make necessary repairs. I will only do this considering you delete the negative review you posted for my company and agree not to post any negative content online or elsewhere for TAR Restoration." So you'll be happy to do the job I paid you to do if I delete my review? Had you done what I paid you to do in the first place, you wouldn't have gotten a negative review. Avoid TAR as they won't do the work you paid for and they will refuse to complete the job if you raise a red flag. read more

This company was a pleasure to work with! Starting from scheduling someone to come and inspect the scope of work for a roof leak all the way through to the completion of work, their communication and professionalism really shined through. The scheduling was easy and straightforward over the phone. They called me the next day after I submitted a request via Yelp. Krystian came to do the inspection and was very friendly and professional. He wore a mask and shoe booties while in the house. The estimate for the work was sent to me the next business day. Then, after that was settled, the project manager Dominik kept me in the loop of when the work would be scheduled and called and emailed the day before and the day the workers arrived. The workers themselves were also very respectful of the property and wore masks when I met with them outside. All debris was cleared when they left and I received photos of the completed work the next day to complete the remaining payment. All in all it was one of the most stress-free and professional jobs I've had to deal with as a homeowner. I highly recommend them to anyone that needs roof work, either flat or shingled. read more

TAR restoration did an extremely well job on our condo roof. They did an assessment of the roof, the repairs needed and provided a fair market value price. They didn't BS either as they could have. We were expecting a full gut of the roof and upon inspection, they recommended that we just do simple patches and lay the outer layer with a reflecting paint. This is guaranteed to last another 15-20 years according to their estimates. Would definitely recommend them. read more

Needed to patch an area on my roof and also remove some decorate finials. Great price. Great service. Reliable. Will use this company again!

We hired TAR Roofing to replace our aluminum bitumen flat roof. Krystian visited to give an estimate. He responded to all of our questions promptly and thoroughly so we felt completely comfortable hiring TAR. Dominik, who handled scheduling and payments, was also very responsive and easy to work with. The roof replacement went really well. They did a quality job, adding extra insulation and pitching the roof correctly. At the end of the job, they took care of all requested touch-ups right away. We highly recommend TAR Roofing for a new roof. read more

Overall, I'm happy with TAR, they gave me an estimate that was right in the middle of other places I got quotes for. About 20% less than the highest estimate. Initial estimate was great, but it took a long time to actually get them out to do the work. When they did the did a good professional job except for two issues: They replace a piece of gutter that I specifically told them was brand new. Later their replacement leaked and they had to come and redo it. Not a huge deal. Second, scheduler asked me what colors I wanted the soffit painted but later they left it unpainted and a manager told me they don't paint. They took $40 off the bill for the confusion but the painting cost me $200. Overall I still recommend them though. read more

TAR completed a small roof repair for us in the corner of our flat roof. This also involved removing decking that was currently installed in the area and re-installing it once the repair was complete. The team was amazing and patient with us during the quoting process! We are part of an HOA so needed to make sure everything was set and approved which took some time but TAR was kind to check in and understanding with our process. They were thorough with the initial walkthrough to prepare the quotes and they were even able to add on some additional work (gutters) that we realized was needed. Their quote was competitive and on par with a few other quotes we received. A+ on the work itself. Dominik was our project manager who helped coordinate everything each step of the way and was always responsive. The team was prompt and completed the repair with ease! We weren't sure what the issue was since the roof was fully covered with decking, but as soon as they began removing the deck in the area they found the issue and were able to fix it up. They were extra careful with removal of the decking in order to re-install the same pieces removed, which we were appreciative of. Dann quickly checked in after the work was completed and helped schedule some time for Damian to come out for a follow-up walkthrough. We know we will be needing a full roof replacement in the next couple years and plan to work with TAR once needed. read more

Admittedly, we've not used TAR for any major projects but I really wish our condo association had. This review is based solely on having them come out for two estimates -- one for roofing and another for gutter repairs. TAR came out to do a thorough walkthrough & estimate of our roofing project. They were extremely knowledgeable and willing to answer all of my questions. As a bonus, they could do the roofing project and the decking project via their sister company. They would also remove and replace our AC units. This was something not every vendor would do. TAR seemed like a great one-stop shop for our roofing/decking needs. Alas, we ended up going with another vendor due to lower cost. But I think we paid for it with our time and having the vendor come back out for repairs with flashing and caulking. I brought TAR back out for a gutter project estimate. Again, they knew their stuff, answered all my questions and gave a very honest assessment that what we were asking for was not feasible. I think TAR is a very well-run operation with experts in construction. They're extremely pleasant to work with. And while they may not have rock-bottom prices, I think you get what you pay for and TAR is a quality provider. read more

Our storage roof needs to be fixed because there are huge trees falling on them because of a high wind storm. My friend gave me a number for this company. Then I call them and they respond immediately. They said they can visit it and I agree since I have no work to do. I gave them my location and after an hour they came since our location was too far from them. They check it and explain what's the best. They suggested a new roof instead of fixing it because there is a big hole. They also guaranteed that the price was fair and reasonable. I'm happy that we can save money by this. They came back another day and they have lots of materials. Our storage roof was just fixed in 5 hours. They are quick and professional. Our storage roof was fixed well. Kudos to the workers. read more

Needed our roof completely re-shingled, found TAR through YELP and saw all the glowing reviews. Got 3 quotes and ended up going with TAR, was very happy with them. Here's a few things I really liked: - Quoted me a better price than 2 other companies- very reasonable. - TAR were the only roofing company to get up and inspect my roof before the quote. Other companies assured me they had enough satellite photos which I'm sure is true but I felt better about TAR inspection because of it - They were really flexible about the start date, Dominic helped us schedule the replacement around the holidays - Their team was really great with our neighbors- they also cleaned up all the debris from their yards and left no trace - Completed the whole roof in a day and a half - Explained how additional costs might happen if they needed to replace our plywood, turned out it was healthy we paid exactly what we were quoted. We've recommended them to our neighbors- thanks Damian & team! read more

Of the five estimates I requested from different companies, with the expectation of 1 other company, TAR was the most thorough with their estimate and explanation than any other company. Did I want a new roof? Nope. Did I want to pay for a new roof during the holiday? Hell no. Does anyone ever say, "wow, nice roof!" Nope - no one notices, but it's nice to know that while it's raining I don't have to worry about any leaks, and it's one thing I don't have to think about anymore. They were great, fast, and incredibly patient with all my questions and requests. If I ever need a roof again, they will be my first call. read more

New tear off roof was completed almost a year ago and re-attached gutters to help with the pitch issue. The team took photos along the way and stayed in constant communication throughout the process. Our rooftop deck began leaking into the office below it after a series of torrential downpours in the summer of 2021. Damian and his team responded almost immediately to our request for a quote. They were prompt, professional, and a pleasure to work with. We also needed our existing rooftop deck carefully removed prior to the roof repair, then replaced to help save on costs. Unfortunately most rooftop contractors do not provide this service, and after calling several decking contractors we found that most were uninterested in our business - or were only willing to remove old decking/replace with new material ($$$$). Damian and his team at TAR Restoration have a sister company - Deck4Me - that was able to deliver on all our needs and save us some serious money! I highly recommend these guys! read more

Total disclosure - I didn't end up hiring TAR. I can only speak about my experience in meeting with Krystian to receive an estimate and my whole experience in communicating with him. I do have their number saved so I can call them out in the future. Krystian from TAR was extremely professional - he showed up on time, he introduced himself and we spoke about my roof and my concerns. He then went on the roof and gave me his full assessment when he came back down. He explained everything thoroughly and he answered all of my questions. He wasn't pushy, and he explained everything in a very calm manner (I've had some really dramatic guys come out to look at my property and just stress me out with all of the work they claim I need to do). Some things that stood out: My house doesn't have a way of getting on to the roof from inside, so some companies wanted to charge me up to $200 just for them to bring out a 40ft+ ladder and climb up to the roof. TAR didn't charge me anything. This company seems super organized and you can tell they've invested a lot of time, thought and money into their branding. Krystian's vehicle was wrapped in company branded vinyl, he gave me his business card and a company pen. This all left a positive impression with me. read more

After nearly a month of waiting for them to get our job going we struggled w them communicating w us as to when they'd be at our building. I emailed them at least 4 times w my husbands cell phone #, requesting that they call him with updates/when they'd be at our building, and yet they continued to email me. That was frustrating. Then the repairman didn't let my husband tell him what side to work on, brushing him off, saying they knew, so, come next train storm it was evident to us they didn't patch roof accordingly. Upon closer inspection my husband realized that they did repair work on the wrong side. We didn't pay for their extra work, but we did have to spend $ and extra time tearing drywall off an inside wall that was affected by their mistake. Very frustrating experience, glad it's over; roof seems to be fine since repair, but wouldn't use this company again. read more

I have managed capital projects for two HOA's thus far and have red flags that immediatly go up, especially when working with roofing companies. This is one of the most extensive and expensive projects you can undergo as a building and a fairly quick and uninformed position on behalf of the condo owners. I was very impressed from the outset on TAR's professionalism from the evaluation Christian performed, the photos he took and his explanation to us and the time he spent with me on all the details. Also, Dominik was fantastic. He was a pleasure to work with and made my entire experience outstanding. He went as far service-wise as to come meet me prior to my job beginning to collect our down payment in person when I had trouble with our online payment system. Throughout the project, we were impressed with the quality of work completed and the attention to details that was paid. The open communication at the office and between myself and the crew was terrific. Thank you TAR! Looking forward to future contact and referrals! read more

Tree came down crashing on our roof, taking out our skylight and gutters, and leaving some holes in our roof. Overall a great experience working with TAR. They were accommodating, professional and efficient. I liked that we had a project manager because I had a lot of questions and he was always efficient in his responses. I have used TAR twice now. This time I needed a new garage roof. They replaced the roof shingles in 2.5 hours. They were so courteous, clean and fast. We had TAR Restoration replace the shingled portion of our condo roof this summer and are very satisfied (so far at least) with the results. I really did my homework prior to going with TAR Restoration (I think I received nine quotes), and while TAR wasn't the lowest, we decided to go with them due to the transparency in their quote and their responsiveness. Their crew was able to complete the work in a day (and it was a very hot day), and despite a few hiccups (I had to tell the crew to complete something we had agreed to in the quote but that they hadn't done on their own volition), they worked efficiently and cleaned up everything afterward. We haven't had any leaks or issues yet. I definitely recommend them! read more
