We hired Blue Sky to replace our skylights. They quoted the best price and were the most responsive of 3 quotes. The team arrived on the installation date and got right to work removing the old skylights and installing the new ones. Two weeks and two major storms and all is well. We are very happy with the team and the job well done. read more

Blue Sky is fantastic! It is so rare to find a company that returns your phone calls, shows up when they're supposed to, and actually solves your problems! Chris was so responsive and helpful. They did such a fantastic job and were respectful and clean. I will never go anywhere else to for any roofing needs. read more

After a very frustrating experience with another roofing company in trying to get a quote to replace my roof, I called BlueSky Roofing on the recommendation of my neighbor. I was very pleased that I made that call. Chris, the owner, was very responsive and came out immediately to give me a reasonable quote. I live in a townhouse complex and several of my adjacent units also had their roofs done at the same time. Considering the scope of the project, it went extremely well. The crew were professional and pleasant even through it was one of those very hot summer weeks. After the installation of the roof, I had a leak and thought "Oh no". I called Chris and he sent someone out immediately. The source of the leak turned out to be caulking on a window and not the roof. However, I was so pleased that if it had been a roof issue, I knew I could count on Chris showing up. Again, thanks Chris for all you help. read more

Blue Sky Roofing is a 5 Star business. The company is well run and is extremely focused on providing high quality work. The company is responsive which makes life so easy. They replaced my full roof and sky lights. They were on schedule and the workers worked full days and into the night. After I had the roof project complete, I called them back to check on my chimney 9 months later as I was worried there was a leak. They came by within the week and made the repair. If you need your roof redone and want to work with a top notch, well run company give Blue Sky Roofing a call! Marty M read more

I don't know much about roofs and everyone who does seems to have a differing opinion, Called several companies for quotes and got low estimates from some companies that never personally came by and looked at it (which seemed like a huge red flag) and other companies who seemed to think a standard 2-flat roof would require $80,000 minimum to resurface. Luckily a neighbor recommended Blue Sky and I couldn't be happier with the results. They put on a new flat roof, re-shingled the front porch, Tuck pointed, repaired parapets and even relined and repaired my chimney over the course of 5 days and every day left the yard and property cleaner that when they arrived. Great work and came in at the price quoted. These guys are pros and I recommend them Very Highly. Exceptional service all around. read more

Blue Sky Roofing - Nicest roof in town - General Contractors Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

This is a delayed review but they are worth it. We had some significant roofing issues last year. Chris and his folks came over and gave a thorough review of the roof and the brick work that was damaged. The price was fair (even added the garage roof for a reasonable add-on) and they "came to work". They were timely and professional as you can be when dealing with this type of work/weather. I really feel confident from talking with them that we really got a solid repair and will limit future problems with our roof/drainage. Great team of people. read more

I had a frustrating experience with a prior repair with this company in that I was unable to communicate with the crew that showed up to my house (on a Saturday). They did not speak any English and had not visited my property before. When some confusion came up, I tried contacting the owner but got no answer. Everything turned out to be ok, but I didn't even learn what work was done until the owner contacted me the following week. Recently I wanted to schedule them to do a few more gutter repairs. I patiently waited over 3 weeks to get on their schedule. When they scheduled me for a Saturday again, I asked Chris if he would be there or if someone in the crew that was coming spoke English. He said he did not work on Saturdays, and then canceled the job altogether. All I was asking for was to be able to communicate with the people working at my house... I didn't realize that this was offensive. If you get scheduled for a Saturday .. beware .. you're job has zero priority for them. read more

OMG...when I say I am in love, I am in love! Let's just say that I'm going to have so many rooftop slumber parties, you'll think I was homeless, crashing on somebody's roof! Chris is/was amazing. Quick to respond to every question, concern and request! And to top it off....wait for it...reasonably price!!!! I shed a tear when I saw the results and they're not even 100% complete yet. Thanks to Blue Sky Roofing, this summer is going to be epically amazing!!!! read more

Chris and the team at Blue Sky are fantastic - responsive and professional. They replaced our roof over a year ago and it was done incredibly well, and fast. We had a few small cracks show up in the corner a year later and since it was under warranty, I asked them to come fix it. They came right away and fixed it and also fixed something else I hadn't even noticed. A roof replacement is a big investment and if you want to be sure to be taken care of right, go with Blue Sky. read more

I had a fantastic experience with Chris. He set up a time over email to provide an estimate and showed up on time. He was communicative throughout the whole process, which I didn't find in most of the other roofers that provided estimates. Chris stood out from the crowd because he provided practical advice and explained his recommendations. Other roofers said "new roof" with no explanation and the rest did not spend time explaining the repairs they wanted to make or refused to provide written estimates. If you know you need to replace your entire roof, I am sure there are plenty of decent companies out there. But if you need repairs or a trustworthy opinion, Chris is without a doubt your best choice. read more

I had some remodeling done in my house and decided to use Blue Sky Roofing again. It was pouring outside so I expected they would be late, but they were considerate enough to leave extra early because they actually remembered that I only had 30 minutes open for the estimate. It was definitely much appreciated. Work was done in a timely manner, very polite and quality work. Recommended them to some friends and will definitely use them again. read more

When you spot something that's not right with the house, but cannot pinpoint the source of the problem on your own, you want someone you can trust to diagnose. Not someone who will quote you a job - because it's what they are paid to do - but someone who looks close and takes your interest to heart. Like your Dad. Chris Lopuski knows his stuff. When other contractors were oh-so-happy to draw up an estimate to "solve my problem," Chris advised me (on more than one occasion) that I did, in fact, NOT have a problem. He took time to explain the troubling signs I saw, detailed the mechanics of what was going on and outlined what I needed to keep an eye on going forward. And time proved it out; Chris' assessment was spot on. Sooner or later, I expect I will have an issue that needs attention. And when that happens, Chris is my go-to guy. read more

Had a new roof on main building and garage installed in 2015. Also had a new gutter installed. Besides the new gutter on the east side of the property they knocked down the west side gutter while installing the roof. They did not remove the gutters prior to installation of the roof. Anyhow, they had to replace that gutter as well. They also broke my window while knocking down the gutter during installation, and they left a hole in the roof around the chimney which they had to come back and repair. They used dark sealant on the nails for the flashing which had to be lifted to install the roof. The home is very light colored so that looked way off. They also covered my flowers with a tarp and then dropped their tools on the tarp. And, as another reviewer said, no one on the crew spoke English. They also had a saw which kept dropping my 20 amp breaker. Nothing else on that line either. They did some siding work on the front of the house, which I admit did make the property look much better. However, a piece of the siding where they did the work came loose 9 months later, and they charged me $150 to come back and put a nail in it. December 2018 the new gutter on the east side of the property fell off. It never was right. It pointed upward, had the wrong hangers etc. It cost me $1,650 for a gutter to replace the three year old gutter, and now you can see it has been hung properly. Also, the gutter on the west side of house leaks at the elbow, and has been, since there is no drop outlet. They just made flaps and hung the elbow from that. Also, when replacing the gutter on that side they had the downspout letting out onto the roof. We had to call them back to put it back like it was letting out into the tower gutter. We will fix that drop outlet ourselves this year. If you have to keep calling a company back to fix their mistakes and they get mad that you do, they are just a bad company. Cheap labor, cut costs on materials, not installed per manufacturer specs, and really hoping the roof holds up. Never going to use them again, and I apologize to anyone I may have recommended them to. read more

Outstanding service. Chris is a total pro. Our insurance company, Farmers, recommended Blue Sky. They had to rebuild our chimney and do some other repairs from a lightning strike. They are professional. Very polite. And they did great work. read more

Last year I had masonry and roofing work completed on a 2-flat I had recently purchased. Chris and his team were incredibly responsive and timely. I absolutely recommend Blue Sky! We are a newer construction, five unit building and had water seeping into one of the units from the roof. Such dread. We began the search for bids and they are a diamond in the rough compared to other roofing companies. They completed the roof portion in the fall and returned in the spring to complete the scope with building a deck. Building a better deck than the builder. Like other reviewer's stated, Chris and Paul are very responsive and easy to communicate with from start to finish of the project. We found them to have the best warranty and priced competitively. I would refer them in a heartbeat. read more

Our building had an issue with water getting underneath a side deck area. 30+ contractors visited the building and most told me I needed to replace the entire side deck to fix the problem, which would cost $15-$20K. However, Blue Sky Roofing proposed a solution to this problem that cost around $2,200 and has succeeded in keeping water out. They were helpful, informative, prompt and efficient throughout the process, and I highly recommend them. read more

I took the day off work for the Blue Sky appointment. Carlos assessed the roof repairs needed. After the visit I followed up a week later for the estimate. Carlos had forgotten and said he'd be sending the estimate shortly. I never heard back. Wasted my time. Thanks read more

Overall great work, quality and timely. We had masonry work done on our foundation and new block Windows installed in the basement. The price was on the higher end of other estimates we received, but we had heard good things about Blue Sky from friends and don't regret using them. read more

Chris and his team from Blue Sky Roofing were phenomenal. I gave them a short time frame to replace our roof top deck and the roof underneath it. They did what they said they would exactly on time and kept me appraised the whole way. The team were very hard working, very courteous and did the work efficiently and without any drama or involving me when they didn't need to. The final product looks amazing and I couldn't be happier. These guys know their stuff and I would not hesitate to highly recommend them. read more

Blue Sky Roofing is fantastic! My condo association and I had been looking for a contractor for several overdue projects and I stumbled upon Blue Sky after having 5 other contractors come out for estimates. Not only was Blues Sky's pricing fair but they work with you on payment plans. Each phase of repairs my condo building has gone through, the workers have been very professional and courteous. They clean-up each day before they leave and they are on time. I would highly recommend Blue Sky to anyone who needs roofing, tuckpointing, flashing, etc. read more

I had a roof leak above a bay window on a 3 flat in Chicago that other roofers couldn't fix. The first roofer failed to fix it after two attempts. I then tried a big name roofer to fix a few other maintenance issues, and replace the roof above the bay windows. They showed up, did the maintenance repairs, but didn't replace the roof; claiming they couldn't reach it with their ladder. Finally, I had Blue Sky Roofing come out. They looked at the leaks and said the issue wasn't with the roof, but the parapet wall above the roof. They redid the caps on the parapet wall with aluminum flashing below the cap stones, and it hasn't leaked since! I would definitely hire Blue Sky Roofing again. read more

I recently had Blue Sky Roofing come out for an estimate on potential issues found during my inspection. Chris showed up on time and was courteous and professional. He walked me through what was done on my roof and the inspector's concerns. He said that my roof was in good shape and didn't need anything done. I appreciated his honesty, and it's great to find a place that won't do work just for the sake of doing work. I highly recommend! read more

Blue Sky Roofing did an excellent job. They were there when they promised, worked morning until night to get the job done, and cleaned up everything when they were done. We had Chris and his team rebuild our back deck and railings using composite materials in September. We felt his estimate was on target with what we had expected for what we wanted. Some estimates we got were outrageous (and came with attitude), others were low but the work product didn't look so great. Chris was closer to where we thought it should be, he had a great attitude, and a previous review's photos sold us on the workmanship. He was very responsive and quick to set up a time to estimate, was on time, and answered all of our questions. His team was on time and kept the work site very neat and tidied up every evening. When they were done, it was like they had never been there except for the new deck. They were done in a week and came back immediately the following day when I emailed about a few corrections to be made. I was impressed they came back so quickly, no questions asked and zero hassle about it. Side note - we figured out that Crafty Beaver has all the samples to look at for various composite materials and options, which can be hard to decide by only looking online. Chris gave us suggestions, including budget suggestions which was appreciated, but ultimately choosing materials, style, and color was on us. The deck is beautiful, we love it, they did a wonderful job and I would hire them again. read more
