I recently purchased a new old home. It was built in the 1940s. After a flood I realized I needed to do ceramic tile. I had someone out to measure and they said SORRY your floor is too un-level. I hired Active M & T to help us seal an unfinished window hole that the previous owner left behind. It was extremely cumbersome and bad for the overall insulation of our home. Not only was Sergiy responsive and polite, he also made sure to use the correct materials for our pre-1950s home. I was searching for a masonry expert and after reading Sergiy's fantastic reviews I gave him a call. These guys are great. Sergiy was quick to come out and quote us on our smaller job of tuckpointing and concrete work and even get it done in the cold. The work was done really efficiently and well and he even added some extra work to make sure we were happy. When one of the residents of the building stepped on the wet concrete that they put down, I asked Sergiy what I could do to fix it... didn't have to, Sergiy offered to come back and fix it for us. I've been reluctant to hire companies in my neighborhood to do work, because of several bad experiences we have had in recent years. However, I decided to look for a local tuckpointing company to do some work on my home. I came across Active Masonry and Tuckpointing and from the first call all the way until the end of the job, Sergiy was very professional. On the date we scheduled for him to come out and give me an estimate, he arrived a few minutes early and was very courteous the entire time. He took the time to explain to me what need it to be done and gave me a fair estimate. After we agreed on the work and price he told me he'd be at my house on Friday May 26th to start the work at 7 AM. At 6:20 AM on the start date of the project, Sergiy and his team arrived to start setting up. After working several hours I went outside to check out the progress and I was taken aback on the amazing job they did on my steps and chimney. I had a few estimates for some tuck pointing work on a parapet wall and the chimney. He got back to me the with the quickest and most competitive price for the work. He came on time, set up extremely quickly, and finished on schedule. It was plain to see that he works extremely efficiently.
