Will never use Permaseal again. Ever. We have a finished basement and noticed that a small part of it was seeping water from the outside. We basically knew where it was coming in and needed someone, a professional, to fix it. We schedule our appointment and a month later someone, Omar, comes. 20 minutes into the "consultation" Omar "couldn't replicate the problem" and settles on "nothing we can do, but call if it happens again." Hey, great advice Omar. Call you if it happens again only for you to, what, do nothing again? Great! Well, sure enough a couple days later it happens again. I take videos and pictures. Call Omar and he asks if I can send him the videos and he will let me know and possibly be over that same day since he is 'in the area.' Spoiler alert: crickets. I having the worst experience with Permaseal. I had them to install a egress window because i have a bedroom iin the basement for Safety. Since they installed the window if it rains hard the window will flood my room. I called numetous Times to let them Know. They had someone come out and they said oh it's the drain they put in when they installed the egress window. First off Permaseal said we have no record we installed that draiin. well who installed the drain in the window you all put in so that's a lie. Then they tell me oh we have to put in another drain and run it to your sub pump but want me to pay for it. Which is crazy because that tells me you all didn't install that drain correctly in the first place. I paid a nice penny for that window. I've called numerous times requested management only to get told someone will call you and 24hours but receive no call. I really hate I chose this company to do my egress window... just horrible!!! This has cause damage to my walls which has to be replaced and furniture. Still haven't receive a call it's been over a week I called. All the heavy rain it's been horrible. I have had other work done with them before the only reason I chose them but this is the most horrible experience ever! read more

Having a sump pump installed in basement to prevent seepage. No asbestos but more for me to pay for. Terrible concrete leveling and crete repair job. I mean, it's a safety hazard for tripping. 7 months ago, 4/11/2025, Permaseal tried to repair the crack and level my patio, and it looks worse. Andres came to my basement to repair under warranty for a leak I had fixed by another permaseal worker. The other permaseal worker did a half a$$ job compared to Andres. Andres actually dug out half of the old work to repair the leak and replaced new cement on top. Andres not only replaced the cement but actually smoothed it out to make it flush with the rest of the wall. The last worker didn't even bother with making it flush and left it looking like the wall had several large pimples. read more

We have had a disastrous and extremely frustrating experience with PermaSeal. PermaSeal installed a drain tile system at our house. Months later we realized that they broke a pipe that they installed which resulted in the drain tile system pouring water into our ejector pit and flooding our septic system. There was a huge hole in the pipe, and it was grossly negligent that it was installed this way. This problem flooded our back yard with sewage and caused several thousand dollars worth of damage/costs. When we realized what was happening, they sent out a tech who found the broken pipe and completed the repair.  However, when we asked that they reimburse us for the costs we have had to incur or give us a partial refund to cover them they have completely dropped the ball.  We have called the manager we were told was handling the situation multiple times only to hear that he's waiting to hear from another manager who's handling the case. They won't give us any contact info for that manager and say that they will reach out. It has been a month since we notified them of the problem, and all they can tell us is that "they've passed our case on and we'll hear from someone."  When you are a potential customer, their communication is excellent and timely. However, once they have your money, it seems they couldn't care less about if the job was done right or addressing problems. We paid PermaSeal an enormous amount of money for the drain tile system, and thousands more for damage/costs that they caused. We shouldn't have to wait weeks for a phone call. read more

For raising cement slap on pati, told salesman 2x I wanted a 1" pitch, it did not specify that in contract. When asked, he only verbally said it was industry standard. Told installer same, when it was done, there was maybe a 1/4" pitch. Water still pools on the slab. Only after refusing to pay the balance until it was resolved did the company start saying page10 of contract states the procedure is only meant to 'stabilize'. After BBB complaint, the company said the 1" pitch is 'only a target'. Read all complaints and all 16 pages of contract before signing! read more

I recently had Perma-Seal provide a quote for installing helical piers to stabilize part of my home that had settled over the years. [[HIGHLIGHT]]After initial consultation, the Perma-Seal representative (Mike) provided the proposal, which stated that helical piers were needed to be installed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I moved forward with the project, with the misunderstanding that the company possessed the expertise to assess and propose the best and viable solution for my home. I took a day off work and removed a section of my fence to accommodate the space needed to complete the project. When the team showed up, they immediately tore up a section of my driveway and began digging at the rear of my property to install the first of 4 helical piers. While digging the hole, the company destroyed my main drain line/sewer main to the home. [[HIGHLIGHT]]After the water line was damaged, Hugo the project lead informed me that I would have limited use of plumbing in the home while they fixed the damaged line.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] While Hugo was in my basement, he quickly pulled away some insulation that I had in my crawl space under the area being supported and identified that the composition of the wall being supported was not compatible with helical piers, and Perma-Seal wouldn't be able to complete the project. My issue with this company is that I chose them based on their exceptional reputation With that, the assumed expertise that would have mitigated damage to my home. When their plumber showed up to repair the damaged water line, they attempted to up-sell me on a clean out for the line, stating that it would cost $1500. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I declined, stating that "I just want my house the way it was before they came".[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] After they completed the pipe repair, I was then informed by the Perma-Seal plumber (Victor), that they went ahead and installed the cleanout, against my direction and permission. I already had a cleanout to the main line in basement that is useable and functioning. The cleanout they installed will now be in the way, and most likely have to get ripped out when I finally get a company competent to provide the structural support I thought Perma-Seal was going to perform. Once Perma-Seal was complete, I communicated with Mike, my Perma-Seal representative, requesting a full refund, as well as compensation for the asphalt repair needed, which Perma-Seal has refused. At no time in the process was there any concern over the helical piers being compatible, and it seems odd that the company proceeded to rip up the driveway, then dig a hole on rear of property, at which time they discovered they couldn't complete the work, and proceeded to pack up and leave. It felt like they went "OOPS, MY BAD" and stuck me with the cost of fixing the property damage they inflicted on my driveway, while they did absolutely nothing listed on the agreed proposal. Update: Perma Seal paid me part of the cost to repair damage to my driveway, but not the full amount. read more

Claimed that me descoping the cheapest item that was less than 1% of the total invoice caused it. Gave up trying to get an explanation. Misled, taken advantage of. I needed some tie rods epoxied and the job didn't meet their minimum billing. Sales guy pushed a new Sump pump on me for $700! You can buy them for $300 in lots of places. Reluctantly I agreed so that I could meet their minimum invoice requirements. When the repair guy came he found 3 more tie rod holes that needed repair. I told him fine but forget the unnecessary sump pump as these would have brought the bill up past their minimum. He said he already installed it and there's nothing he can do. So I completely overpaid and have an overpriced, unnecessary sump pump. Will never use them again! read more
