Absolutely call!! Pawel was fantastic. He was quick, honest and forthcoming. He does great work, clean and professional. I had a bowing veneer wall I wanted redone. Pawel came out and priced it our worst case scenario (as requested) to include the veneer and retaining wall. Once we started and saw the retaining wall was intact, he adjusted the price down accordingly. He communicated with me the entire way, giving his opinion and how it would look if we do it this way or that. He wasn't pushy at all, with the exception of the retaining wall adjustment, the price never changed. I've been in construction and facilities all my career, I had Zero issues with Pawel, never thought he was trying to take advantage of me and now have him redoing my back patio which is pavers. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMANY! I hired this company to replace my concrete driveway. Shortly after installation my concrete began to blister/scale. My concrete driveway looks awful and needs to be replaced. I contacted Pawel, an owner of J&P, who stated that I must of used salt on my driveway which I do not and Pawel knew the truth that it was a substandard concrete job. I had a concrete testing company look at my driveway and they claimed that the contractor added water or overworked the concrete mix. Ozinga, the cement company, claimed that there was no problem with the mix that was delivered to my home. The crew sent to my home trashed my landscaping. I tried to work with J&P about getting my driveway replaced and sharing in the cost to no avail. read more

I highly recommend Pawel and team for their concrete cement work. Here is a before and after. The demolition took 1 hour. Finishing work took 2 hours (all before 12pm) You can't go wrong with how hard they work. I knew their reviews stood for something and went with my gut. I'm hiring them back for my stairs next week and look forward to amazing results. Hard working team here, and prices are reasonable. read more

Great job power washing, tuckpointing and sealing my front steps. They look brand new. Good communication and completed the job quickly.

I called J & P because I needed tuckpointing on our chimney. It was in bad shape. Paul answered quickly and came over a day later. He told me what the price was. I was hoping it would be less but I needed the chimney done so I said yes. His guy came over on the day that we agreed and he did a great job. The chimney looks great and I am glad it is taken care of. read more

TL:DR - Hire this crew for any of your chicago brick needs. I live in a remodeled bungolow with a relocated front door to the the front facade of our house. the new door has a concrete staircase leading to it with a brink retainer wall added in 2012. The wall was failing separating and leaning it has gotten worse and worse over the years. This year the lean got much worse listing to 15 degrees. It had to come out... I got a quote to rebuild the wall from J&P and scheduled the work. The work included a new design of the retainer wall that followed the pattern of the stairs. We preferred a cleaner look than what was done in 2012. They took my rudimentary drawing and 2 days later - PERFECTION The workmanship is flawless. The crew was tidy, on time, and very clean - They cleaned up after themselves and even raked the grass. Thank you J&P! read more

To say I'm happy with the results of the restoration performed on my exterior walls would be an understatement! I had pealing paint on my brick exterior walls, water was getting trapped in between destroying my bricks. I had several different companies come out to quote the job and most of them turned down the job because they said they were not able to fully remove the paint from the walls. I was offered less expensive options by other companies but I knew they were "ban-aid" fixes. Pawel came out and offered the solution needed. His crew is very had working and worked long hours, they clean up after each day. We had a couple of delays due to rain but as soon as the weather cleared up they were back to work. My house looks brand new with the fresh Tuckpoint and clean bricks! read more

A simple job at a very fair price. The corner of my foundation wore away (about the size of a large coffee can) from a misalligned downspout. The estimate was very fair and he even patched a few smaller problems for free. The craftsmanship on the corner of my house was very skillfully executed. read more

Are you searching for a masonry/concrete company with excellent customer service? Great prices? And great quality? OF COURSE YOU ARE, that's why you're on Yelp and clicked on J&P STOP SEARCHING NOW and request a consult with Pawel. His customer service is amazing! You won't regret it. The crew are very nice and courteous and the foreman, Ray is excellent with communication. I WISH I took before pictures (my sidewalk alongside my house and front steps were SO bad and literally crumbled to pieces. SO bad and unsightly). Whoever did the "concrete" (if I can call it that) before when I moved into this house literally poured MAYBE like 1-2" of THIN CHEAP concrete. J&P (Pawel and Ray, his foreman) saved the day and my house is GORGEOUS now. THANK YOU J&P! read more

Very fast, responsive, appropriately priced service. Would hire again for any future tuckpointing projects we have!

Pawel and his crew were great. I would recommend J&P Masonry to everyone who is looking for quality masonry work.

Great work. Fair price. Would use again in the future and recommend to others looking for similar work.

I've had Pawel out for several jobs. First, to repair a sinking brick patio (and divert a downspout) and second, to repair our brick chimney along with several large patches on both sides of the home. Patio has held up 1+yr now looking as good as new and the chimney etc. look great. I will continue to use Pawel & team for my masonry work in the future. read more

These guys do great work. I had a cracked sidewalk inside my backyard area. Over the years it got really bad with the crack getting wider. I finally decided it needed fixed. I got quotes from various companies that wanted to used glue, or some kind of skim coat, but J&P said they would remove it and repour it in place. The work took only a day, but he came back several times over the weekend to keep it damp so it would cure better. Looks better than the rest of the sidewalk now! Very professional and skillful. read more

J&P for the win! After months of searching for someone to redo my driveway, I finally stumbled upon J& P. J&P Masonry rebuilt my 1910 house's brick parapet wall as part of my roof tear-off project and did a wonderfully detailed job! Paul was very responsive over the phone and flexible with facade design requests on the front wall. His team rebuilt my chimney (from cement block to common brick), installed all new clay copings, stainless steel drip edges, and even tuckpointed other small spots on the front and side exterior of the house without asking for change orders, etc. Additionally his team not only carefully reused my original (and nearly impossible to replicate) front facade iron point brick, but also made sure to keep the extra brick in a safe storage place for me for future repairs. His team was friendly and professional, they cleaned up and prepped the roof for rain each day, and water sealed the perimeter while I await the roofers for phase 2. It is very obvious to me that Paul and his team take great pride in their work and will go the extra mile to make sure their customers are serviced well. Thank you Paul! I will certainly be reaching out for future projects! read more

It was good work on our small one-day or 6-hour project where you had three workers performing the tuckpointing around the chimney and several bricks close to the bottom of the house. The top chimney mantel was not replaced and it didn't need to be replaced. Thanks for taking time out to know what needs to be done and making the quote fairly priced. Other companies wanted to take more bricks out at different places in the house and do more unnecessary work. The condition of our tuckpointing was decent. The house needed a nice touch-up work around the perimeter of the house where snow touches the brick and spots at the top of the roof line. Almost every brick was looked at and tuckpointed. A few bricks were missed. A different company wanted to use a diamond bit to chisel out every brick for a small 20' x 20' house while charging $12k. I am sure the work from the other company would have done a great job although it was unnecessary. It might be best to review a few videos online to get a better understanding of what tuckpointing and bricklaying are all about. read more

I would recommend J&P. The quoting process was easy. Pawel assessed what needed to be done and we were added to the schedule within the week. The crew that arrived to do the work had trucks that showed the name Aragon (not J&P) .. so I was a bit confused. Apparently that specific crew has worked with J&P on cement jobs for years and they do really good work. Depending on what projects are in queue or what you need done, they may end up doing the project. For me they redid my concrete slabs, changed the pitch to redirect water from the foundation and even secured a cover on my window well. I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again. read more

Our nine-unit, six-story condominium was experiencing water leakage. After conducting video interviews with a few contractors, we decided upon J&P Masonry. His crew applied two coatings of sealant, and replaced our vents. - Pawel (owner) made repeated trips to the property before we signed with him, and during the process. He conducted two Zoom interviews with us - His approach (sealing as opposed to tuckpointing) made the most sense to us - He's straightforward: no BS - The price was fair - He communicated quickly through email and text - His crew worked hard, and they addressed some issues beyond what was specified in the contract - The sealant looks good, and we're happy with the work We plan to use J&P for some future projects. read more

I had excellent service! I worked with Pawel and he was very attentive and always responded to my texts. The demo crew to replace my concrete walkway arrived and although there was a moment of wtf, Pawel immediately responded (he wasn't there) and the team got to work. Efficient and fast, they tore up and replaced my broken concrete in 2 days and it was fast drying concrete. I was able to communicate with the team and they worked very hard in the hot sun (don't worry, we gave them water to stay hydrated as it was very hot). I would recommend J&P. read more
