Tropical iced tea

Great location and tasty lunch on Coronado Island. Our San Diegan friend shared this little jewel with us. She appreciates ample free parking, no reservation needed and yet we were seated at a nice table overlooking the golf course and navy yard beyond. My tropical iced tea and blackened salmon salmon was delicious, and her fish tacos looked great. My husband raved about his steak salad.

Great spot for lunch while visiting Coronado! We biked around the area and striked up an appetite. This was a nice relaxed atmosphere with a fun view of the gold course. Our food was nicely portioned and well priced. The fries were amazing. A simple, tasty, and filling meal. Just be warned to not leave your food alone, a seagull will eat it as I saw that happened to a mans salad lol. Food took a while to come out but the servers were nice!

Our first time here. We were loving the views and looking forward to a leisurely lunch on a beautiful sunny day. The sign at the entrance said to seat yourself so we chose our table on the patio. We waited 20 minutes before anyone asked if we wanted a menu. We were prepared to order because we had already checked out the menu on our phones. Our server was pleasantly surprised. We ordered and got our drinks quickly. All the servers were very friendly. Nearby, I noticed a table of 4 people arrived around the same time we did. When they got their meals I figured we'd get ours soon. It was 25 mins later when our orders finally arrived. Meanwhile, another table of four arrived and got their food within about 20 mins. This was not the leisurely we had in mind. LOL My friend got the steak frites and I the smokehouse burger with onion rings. We were hungry at this point and ready to enjoy our meal but, unfortunately, it took another 7 mins for his steak knife to arrive. Yes I started checking out my watch. A couple of mins later our sweet server asked how was everything. I shared that I had only tried the onion rings so far and they were delicious. Then I cut my burger in half and to my surprise my medium rare burger was well done. Bummer but I ate it anyway. I didn't want to wait 20 mins for a replacement burger. My friend kept laughing as he struggled to cut his steak frites served in a pasta bowl! He didn't ask to change plates because, by then, he had waited an hour to dig into our meals. When we finished our server chit chatted a bit and I decided to let her know that my burger was well done. She was shocked because she remembered I asked for medium rare. Next thing I know she said the manager comped it! My friends raved about this place so I know I will be back again soon for lunch. Hoping for the best outcome next time!

Feast and Fareway was a special place my fiancé and I went to the day before his deployment. We had good salads and THE OVERALL BEST calamari I've ever had! Only thing was the plate was too small. I wish I had more!! Then we went for brunch and had a nice big bowl of Greek yogurt with berries and the bacon was a bit more burnt than we'd like, eggs were awesome though! I'd go again and again for the calamari and truffle fries!! Perfect crunch!

Just went here for a reunion event luncheon. The place was amazing! Great food, great service, and a cool upscale vibe! I had their Cheeseburger and it was totally delicious. As were the fries. I fully intend to be back, on a regular basis!!

Traditional Club Sandwich with onion rings, House Chicken Wings, and Southern Shrimp & Grits with scrambled eggs

We had a really good lunch here! The golf course itself is beautiful, so we chose to sit in the outside area of the restaurant which had such great views. I had an excellent Bloody Mary with candied bacon and ordered the shrimp and grits for lunch, my husband had the turkey club with onion rings, and we split an order of wings. Everything was really good, great prices, and the service was also quick and attentive.

My cousin and I wanted to get brunch with views and I'm so glad we found this place! The view of the golf course and the Coronado bridge at the same time is unbeatable here in San Diego. The downside was that the service was extremely slow and our coffee was not as hot/warm as I expected it to be. It was good, but I like my coffee coming out extremely warm. I didn't get a picture of our food because we waited long and we were hungry. I ordered the avocado toast and she ordered the chilaquiles. Both meals were very enjoyable!

The host and waitress were very friendly. Love that the entire space is dog friendly. The view is mostly of the course (which is lovely) and you can see people golfing or driving by in carts. They serve brunch until 3pm and I got the blue crab and crawfish Benedict. My egg was a bit overdone (the yolk was hard). We also shared truffle fries which were delicious. My husband got the Cobb salad which looked pretty standard and was good. Our waters were also never refilled during our meal.

My friends and I sat outside on a perfect day for a Friday brunch when there was no wait, and the views of the water and Navy ships were gorgeous. I ordered the fresh squeezed OJ, American breakfast, and split the french toast. The potatoes were a bit underdone, but the French toast was the best I've had in a long time. I'd go back for the French toast and views 100%.

Years ago I had the best fish tacos here. Guess this is new restaurant/chef or??? Totally inedible! The batter was just a soggy mess of "something" but can't describe it. I scraped it off and found just a tiny bit of fish inside. It too was barely OK and not much flavor/taste. Now I wished I just sent it back to let the "cook" be aware of this failed dish. Instead, I'll just won't eat here again! Just get a beer and enjoy the view....what a shame!

Fabulous Service and food prep. From the greeter who tells you an accurate wait time and thanks you for waiting to my server Tristan who not only welcomed me but Gave me the updated menu with excellent choices on the new menu. The Ambiance is pleasant and choices of indoor or outdoor seating. The views are spectacular and I recommend it to all my friends and visitors.

Enjoyed the Eggs Benedict here, the eggs were perfectly poached! The service was good as well. Very nice atmosphere with patio seating available with view of putting/chipping green and water/bridge out further. Great prices for the food as well!

My family and I came here on a Sunday for brunch. I think we got the last table because other people had to wait. The service was so bad. My cousin's food came out way before everyone else's. She was done eating about 15 minutes before the other food came out. Food wasn't good. The traditional benedict was bland and the egg wasn't as runny. Potatoes and pancakes were dry. The fryer was broken so nothing fried like the fried chicken sandwich, onion rings, or fries could be ordered. Won't come back again.

Very good burger

The changes they've made over the past few months have completely transformed the atmosphere, and it shows the moment you walk through the door. The staff is one of the biggest reasons I keep coming back. Everyone is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive, creating an environment where both regulars and first-time guests feel right at home. The service is consistently outstanding, and you can tell the team genuinely enjoys what they do. A special shoutout to Danika, who is absolutely amazing. She goes above and beyond to make every guest feel valued, always greets everyone with a smile, and creates an atmosphere that's warm, inviting, and full of positive energy. Her hospitality is second to none and is a huge reason this has become my go-to spot. I'd also like to recognize Brady, who has been phenomenal every time I've visited. He's personable, attentive, knowledgeable, and always makes sure everyone is taken care of. Together, Danika and Brady help create an experience that keeps people coming back. The cocktails are fantastic, the beer selection is phenomenal, and everything is offered at a price that's hard to beat. I especially love their NASCAR drink specials--they make race days even more exciting and are the perfect excuse to gather with friends and coworkers. The bar is always clean, cozy, and comfortable, making it the perfect place to relax after work or spend an evening catching up with friends. It has a welcoming neighborhood feel where everyone can enjoy themselves, whether you're a regular or visiting for the first time. It's obvious that the ownership and staff have put a lot of effort into making this bar something special, and the improvements over the past few months have been incredible. The Fire Station has become my favorite place in Coronado to enjoy a great drink, unwind, and spend time with good company. If you're looking for exceptional service, outstanding cocktails, a fantastic beer selection, great prices, and an atmosphere that truly makes you feel at home, I can't recommend The Fire Station enough. You pay for the location and that is about it. The main lobby was super cute. We were very excited to stay here. But it took a turn when we were shown our room. The smell was so bad you could smell it a few feet outside of our door. We would wake up in the middle of the night because the smell woke us up. It smelled like mildew & mold so bad, on top of cigarettes and hospice. I went to call to ask for a new room and our phone didn't work. I moved the side bedroom table to see if it was plugged in and it was so dirty with bugs and lint balls. I didn't touch the phone again. I called from my cell phone to see about changing our room. She told me I could come the next day and take a look at other rooms that were available, but we were only there for one more night and we had plans with friends that day. The carpet is disgusting. The couch is so dirty. There were brown stains on the sheets of our bed. Every time the cleaning crew would come in, they would open every single window to the fullest to mask the smell. There's not a restaurant here so you have to go get your food and bring it in. There were dead bugs in the utensil drawers. So we used plastic utensils, and paper plates our whole trip. Our room looked nothing like the lobby. A motel 8 would've been better. Even the pool is sad. We were going to cancel our stay and book somewhere else, but we booked through Expedia and it's a nightmare trying to get a refund through them. Otherwise, we would've left after the first day. When leaving a manager pulled me aside and said he was going to comp one day resort fee for us because of the smell. He didn't have to do that, but it was nice of him. We will never be back unless they do a serious update. So sad because the location is killer!

I called Helen about a year before the big day and immediately knew I would be taken care of. We wanted a family- only small beach wedding and it honestly turned out perfect. I liked that she offered a lot of customizable options. She communicated every step of the way and as a bride, I felt confident heading into the wedding day. Our package came with beach setup, an officiant, a musician, a photographer, and Helen's guidance. All of her vendors were perfect. We got our photos in just days and the photographer got a lot of great photos (attaching some of my favorites). The price for the wedding package was also very reasonable. If you're looking to get married on the beach- I definitely recommend Coronado Beach Weddings!

Planning a wedding should be a joyful and exciting experience -- unfortunately, working with this…read morecoordinator brought unnecessary stress, confusion, and disappointment to what should have been one of the happiest days of our lives. From the start, communication was unclear and frustrating. We struggled to get a concise explanation of what services were included and what we were actually paying for. It wasn't until we explicitly referenced California's SB 478 transparency laws that we finally received a proper breakdown of costs -- which then led to a pricing adjustment. But even after that, just two weeks before the wedding, we were shocked to receive a final payment notice that was more than double our last agreed-upon price. When we questioned it, the coordinator backtracked on previous conversations and insisted on her standard pricing, completely disregarding the confusion we had already worked to clarify. For someone claiming 34 years of experience, I expected significantly better communication, transparency, and flexibility. Customizing a wedding package should not be this difficult or disorganized. The wedding day itself only compounded our frustrations. One of our most anticipated moments -- the "first look" as I walked down the aisle with my dad -- was completely mishandled. Due to poor schedule management, my husband saw me before the ceremony even began. From there, things didn't improve. Directions were unclear, organization was lacking, and important details were overlooked -- like the designated place for bridesmaids' belongings, which was only provided after the ceremony, despite us asking about it beforehand. Our contract also stated that she would have an assistant to help on the day of the wedding -- she did not. This absence absolutely impacted the flow and coordination of events throughout the day. To give credit where it's due, the flowers were beautiful -- especially my bridal bouquet, which turned out exactly as I had hoped. It was one of the few things that went right and added a special touch to the day. The only other silver lining was the photographer she worked with. He was kind, professional, and captured some beautiful photos. Unfortunately, several of our special moments include Helen in the background -- an unfortunate reminder of the overall disappointment. If you plan to use her as your wedding coordinator, I highly suggest reading through your contract with a fine-tooth comb and making sure you have an exact outline of pricing and services. Don't assume anything will be taken care of unless it's clearly written and confirmed -- multiple times.
