We had a wonderful time. Penny the owner is full of life and so friendly. Our artist instructor Justine was fun and easy going. Outdoor setting was beautiful and the live music was a bonus. Visiting from AZ to celebrate my cousins birthday. We are so thankful we found this gem. We plan to recommend the wine paint class and Emerald C Gallery to all our friends.

I had my sons going away party here. Its such a cool space. Friendly staff that helped with everything! They offer preferred caterers and we used their taco guy-delish! They don't have a liquor license but they partner up with Vom Fass a local wine and spirits place that can set you up or you can so your own bar. Extremely competitive rates and a very unique place to have a party. Highly recommend!!

I've taken a couple of wine and paint classes here and it was really fun. They always have very cheerful instructors that don't rush you. Plenty of paint and brushes. I like that there's another helper that pours wine, and then comes around every 15 minutes or so to give refills if you want. By the way, the wine was good and it was included. There aren't any snacks, so it might be nice to bring your own cheese and crackers and perhaps share. I really love that the painting class is in an art gallery. All that art keeps you motivated and inspired. Really fun, I'll definitely do it again.

A new gallery in Coronado. Incredable art by original, local and distant artists. Everything from hand crafterd jewelry, paintings, sculptors and framed photography to art classes. We had the good fortune of attending the grand opening. A huge turn out of many local residents as well as a few visitors. Catering provided by both Brigatine Seafood Restaurant as well as Miguel's Cocina Mexican Restaurant was well recieved and appreciated by all of us attentding. Coronado Mayor Casey Tanaka did the honors of cutting the ribbon for the grand opening. If you're looking for original, unique and interesting art in Coronado...or just an art class..you do not want to miss Emerald C Gallery. Located behind Brigatine Seafood Restaurant on Orange Ave. in Coronado.

Pre COVID- went during their wine and paint night. It was a super fun experience and I'd love to do it again. I forget her name but the owner was super welcoming and kept the glasses full throughout the night. The paint instructor was fabulous and walked around helping everyone. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the art in the store is beautiful. They provide everything including the paint/paint brushes and an apron. Overall great experience! We parked a few blocks away and followed the signs to locate the place.

Always love visiting this Gallery when in town. Beautiful, creative work Abounds. The Consignment shop upstairs is a bonus! The workshops and community events are great- really had a blast Painting with my friends last week and enjoyed participating in Teddy Bear Service event in the past.

There was no signage and no host to check in with. A few tables were empty so we grabbed one. Wait staff bustled around. Did not acknowledge us. We saw a group of three wander in looking confused just like us. They sat themselves down at a different empty table. Ten minutes go by. No one said anything to us. I could not even wave down a waiter because they would not make eye contact. The people who came in after us were helped. They cleaned off their table and took their drink order. We are still trying to wave someone down. A big group came in and sat down at another table. The waiter went and cleaned off their table and took their order as well. It's been like 20 maybe 25 minutes by now. I stared down the waiter but once again no eye contact. The other table gets their drinks. We gave up and went somewhere else. Pretty horrible. Good luck surviving with your subpar service.

Blessed with a pleasant bay view, the seemingly automatic customer base of the always busy Coronado golf course, and the disposable income of this affluent community, you would think that this indoor/outdoor setting would be a perfect place for brunch or lunch at 11am to noon on a beautiful Saturday, but our post-round meal was accompanied by lots of empty tables, empty space, and empty vibes. Although my salad had good flavor, it was surprisingly small. My friend ordered a sad-looking tuna melt that he said was the worst he had ever had. Another friend said the same thing about his old fashioned, which had a bizarre red tint to it that indicated an over-abundance of bitters or perhaps a flat-out wrong ingredient like Campari. Either way, it's clear that the bartender did not know how to make a very simple classic cocktail. The service was also abysmal. Although the place was far from busy, his terrible old fashioned didn't arrive until after the entrees, which themselves took quite a long time to arrive. And this was after my friend had to remind the server that he hadn't received his drink. Also, upon inquiring if I could substitute chicken for the turkey in my salad, he enthusiasticly said yes without informing me that that the substitution would be a five dollar upcharge, which came as an unwelcome surprise on the final bill. Finally, the chairs are horribly uncomfortable, and for someone with a bad back, sitting there for an hour was not a pleasant experience. All of this probably explains why business looked so paltry on a such a lovely Saturday. With such a great setting, the Coronado golf course really deserves better. I'm being generous with the two stars, but it's safe to say that our post-round meals and drinks will be enjoyed elsewhere from now on.

You pay for the location and that is about it. The main lobby was super cute. We were very excited to stay here. But it took a turn when we were shown our room. The smell was so bad you could smell it a few feet outside of our door. We would wake up in the middle of the night because the smell woke us up. It smelled like mildew & mold so bad, on top of cigarettes and hospice. I went to call to ask for a new room and our phone didn't work. I moved the side bedroom table to see if it was plugged in and it was so dirty with bugs and lint balls. I didn't touch the phone again. I called from my cell phone to see about changing our room. She told me I could come the next day and take a look at other rooms that were available, but we were only there for one more night and we had plans with friends that day. The carpet is disgusting. The couch is so dirty. There were brown stains on the sheets of our bed. Every time the cleaning crew would come in, they would open every single window to the fullest to mask the smell. There's not a restaurant here so you have to go get your food and bring it in. There were dead bugs in the utensil drawers. So we used plastic utensils, and paper plates our whole trip. Our room looked nothing like the lobby. A motel 8 would've been better. Even the pool is sad. We were going to cancel our stay and book somewhere else, but we booked through Expedia and it's a nightmare trying to get a refund through them. Otherwise, we would've left after the first day. When leaving a manager pulled me aside and said he was going to comp one day resort fee for us because of the smell. He didn't have to do that, but it was nice of him. We will never be back unless they do a serious update. So sad because the location is killer!

I called Helen about a year before the big day and immediately knew I would be taken care of. We wanted a family- only small beach wedding and it honestly turned out perfect. I liked that she offered a lot of customizable options. She communicated every step of the way and as a bride, I felt confident heading into the wedding day. Our package came with beach setup, an officiant, a musician, a photographer, and Helen's guidance. All of her vendors were perfect. We got our photos in just days and the photographer got a lot of great photos (attaching some of my favorites). The price for the wedding package was also very reasonable. If you're looking to get married on the beach- I definitely recommend Coronado Beach Weddings!

Planning a wedding should be a joyful and exciting experience -- unfortunately, working with this…read morecoordinator brought unnecessary stress, confusion, and disappointment to what should have been one of the happiest days of our lives. From the start, communication was unclear and frustrating. We struggled to get a concise explanation of what services were included and what we were actually paying for. It wasn't until we explicitly referenced California's SB 478 transparency laws that we finally received a proper breakdown of costs -- which then led to a pricing adjustment. But even after that, just two weeks before the wedding, we were shocked to receive a final payment notice that was more than double our last agreed-upon price. When we questioned it, the coordinator backtracked on previous conversations and insisted on her standard pricing, completely disregarding the confusion we had already worked to clarify. For someone claiming 34 years of experience, I expected significantly better communication, transparency, and flexibility. Customizing a wedding package should not be this difficult or disorganized. The wedding day itself only compounded our frustrations. One of our most anticipated moments -- the "first look" as I walked down the aisle with my dad -- was completely mishandled. Due to poor schedule management, my husband saw me before the ceremony even began. From there, things didn't improve. Directions were unclear, organization was lacking, and important details were overlooked -- like the designated place for bridesmaids' belongings, which was only provided after the ceremony, despite us asking about it beforehand. Our contract also stated that she would have an assistant to help on the day of the wedding -- she did not. This absence absolutely impacted the flow and coordination of events throughout the day. To give credit where it's due, the flowers were beautiful -- especially my bridal bouquet, which turned out exactly as I had hoped. It was one of the few things that went right and added a special touch to the day. The only other silver lining was the photographer she worked with. He was kind, professional, and captured some beautiful photos. Unfortunately, several of our special moments include Helen in the background -- an unfortunate reminder of the overall disappointment. If you plan to use her as your wedding coordinator, I highly suggest reading through your contract with a fine-tooth comb and making sure you have an exact outline of pricing and services. Don't assume anything will be taken care of unless it's clearly written and confirmed -- multiple times.
