I was shocked by the way I was treated today inside the restaurant. The lady who took my order was very nervous and didn't like anything and didn't want to take my order. When she took the order, I waited for a long time and two customers came after me and their order was prepared before me and I was waiting for my order. The keylime pie is definitely a dessert I would recommend. I would skip the ice cream scoop. For 2 appetizers, 3 entrees, a couple of coffees, & 2 desserts, it only cost $68. Overall I had a fairly priced meal here. We ordered fried pickles with ranch, and they are my favorite fried pickles. The spinach dip was decent, nothing outstanding. I ordered shrimp and steak. The steak had an odd flavor, like a gas grill flavor and that kinda ruined the meal. For a "grillhouse", I expected much better. The side salad and mashed potatoes were tasty though! Was in town for a family visit and the in laws brought us to FDs. It has a claim jumper meets outback feel with much classier decor and drink menu. They raced about the catfish, steak and shrimp so we were excited to try the local flavor. The staff was very nice and had some good recommendations and we had firecracker shrimp for an appetizer. Being Californians at heart we tried a couple of throwbacks for us and our parents had catfish blackened and a steak salad. The kids meals were reasonable priced and our littles also enjoyed FD's The thing that stood out are the prices, very reasonable. My girlfriend and I had a wonderful evening outing at this establishment. The interior decor presented a calming and inviting earthy aesthetic that set the perfect atmosphere. The restrooms were exceptionally clean, and the staff was outstanding. Our server, Paige, deserves a special mention for her exceptional service. She was attentive and quick to attend to our needs, making our experience even more enjoyable. Food was delicious. Unfortunately i only captured photos of drinks, appetizers and her dish. I had the ceadar plank salmon which was delicious. My significant other had steak and shripm with sides of asparagus. Right across the parking lot you'll find FD's, and the food and vibes here is great! It's also easy on the pockets! This is one of my go to's, and I have never been disappointed after visiting. 3 1/2 Stars here. The service was absolutely there, but for me, it was missing the genuine feel of the hometown love I've been experiencing in Nixa this past few days. My burger was good, fries were good, even the fried shrimp and chicken were good. Overall I think people are paying for the atmosphere. I was however very impressed with the customers as we walked in, a young man opened the door for myself and my family. As we left, a customer held the door for us and everyone waiting in the line outside to get in, stepped aside, said "excuse me, have a nice evening". You know the saying "you get what you pay for"? FD's takes it to the next level. You get more than you'd expect for these prices. I've eaten here several times. It reminds me of your typical Americana restaurant but better. The menu is full of awesome entrees and appetizers. They have something for everyone. Tacos, burgers, pasta, fish, steak... you get my drift. I've had steak & shrimp ($14!!), burgers, and most recently the firecracker chicken tacos (my new fav!). All of these have been so good!! But the firecracker chicken tacos are divine. They are messy and spicy and huge! I love them so much. Service is always great, and they've been super quick when I'm on a lunch break. FD's is one of the best restaurants in Springfield in my opinion. It really looks upscale & higher end but the prices are very affordable. Not a stuffy place at all. Service is always great and the menu has a good variety of dishes. I've had several things there from cedar plank salmon to steak & shrimp to fish tacos & fish and chips. Their FD's salad is one of the best I've ever had with lemon vinaigrette. Also, their homemade key lime pie is off the charts! They have a full bar and their wine list is good. We will be going back here a lot more often. No reservations so get there early but if you have to wait a bit it will be well worth it! read more

The perfect place to go for a group as there are so many different options to meet anybody's appetite or culinary desires. The Keylime cheesecake is to die for in the limousine margaritas are no joke. With that said the customer service experience prior to being seated is an absolute nIGHTMARE, HOW in the world in 2025 there is still no option for call ahead seating or reservations!?!? It is always a three ring circus and more people than not stand outside complaining about what a complete cluster it is. This is a very solvable solution with either online seating cues, call ahead seating, and/or reservations. Beyond frustrating that anyone in today's world of technology FD grillhouse REFUSES to embrace that technology that would be customer centric. Quite frankly, unless we have an hour or two to dedicate to sitting around frustrated about not being seated we go to other restaurants that offer this convenience. read more

This place was awesome! They have everything from chicken to steak and seafood. We ordered the calamari for an appetizer and boy was it good. It came with an amazing bourbon sauce that topped it all off. We also ordered the crab and cheese dip. Everyone else likes it but me. A little too cheesy for my liking. For dinner I ordered the platter! I got to pick what I wanted and I ordered the catfish, crab cakes, and stuffed shrimp. For my sides I had the green beans which were amazing!
