Place what really nice and clean, with a lot of tables and a bar. Food was delicious. Server was really nice and was always checking on us. Food came quick and refills of water/soda/ chips and salsa were continuously. They also have a separate menu for lunch 11am-3pm. And prices are good for the amount of food. Checked out Casa Bella this week! The servers were very friendly and quick to get our food out to us. The chips and salsa were the star of the show, it had a wonderful roasted tomato flavor that we loved. The chicken on the Chori Pollo was a bit rubbery, and the Poblano Burrito lacked the strong poblano flavor I was hoping for. Overall the food was good and I would consider coming back. This place overall, had some good tasting food. The place however, was a fair amount more expensive than other options in town...and portions (as you'll see from the pics), are quite measured/rationed. - Table side Guac: This was pretty good. Could've used a fair out more salt, For the number of avocados she used. But overall, it was very good Guac. - Fajitas for two: a good portion of meat and vegetables....the taste was a good classic fajita taste. - Combo dinner: Overall, each of the items were good. The tamale was probably the best item on that plate. A bit disheartening however, to see such a small amount of rice and beans on the plate. Your items that cost you the absolute least - you are stingy with these side items? Given the price you're charging; gee; come on. The place does have a better upscale feel to the place - but so what - a what. Say to that. There are much better places for the combination of price and value. Just down the street from this place - Amigos. Amigos is a place that has great tasting dishes; at a far better price. Go there...skip this place. read more

Restaurant Recommendation: Casa Bella on Battlefield Road just around the corner from South Campbell is my new favorite Mexican restaurant in Springfield. Greg & I got the 3 tacos (2 steak and one chicken). It came with rice and Peruvian beans. The salsa was made in house and it is also my new fav. It does lean into cilantro, but we adore that herb so it was a win-win for us. Greg ate all of his meal no problem. But I could only eat one taco. So I had one on Saturday, one on Sunday and just finished it the third today. I love it when a meal stretches out like that. The microwave warm-up was tasty. Those tacos are crave-able. Also I had never had Peruvian beans before. They were silky tasty and delicious. Try it out. read more

Lunch time! I've driven by a few times wanting to stop by and I finally was able to go in for lunch. 2 workers were fixing the tables outside when they saw us getting out our car. They quickly greeted us and held the door as we entered. We felt very special and welcomed. We received complimentary chips and salsa with different bowls for our salsa which I love. Our server Jefferson was amazing, he made our fresh guacamole right by our table. Our guacamole was delicious, he was very attentive and we had a great time talking with him. I ordered carne asada, the meat was flavorful, grilled just right and tender. It doesn't seem like a big serving but I couldn't eat half of my plate so I'm going to say it was enough. I enjoyed my meal very much, the rice and beans were delicious, authentic. The staff was extremely attentive, making sure we were doing okay. The restaurant was very clean and I loved their selection on music. Can't wait to go back this Sunday and try something new. read more

Was the only car in the car park when I pulled in, was keen to see the new owners take on a Mexican restaurant as the last one was terrible with bland decor. Welcomed and seated right away, given both regular menu and lunch menu, I looked at lunch times and they ended at 3p, glanced at watch and it was 253pm, fresh corn chips and salsa were delivered and I mentioned I just made it in time for lunch and he smiled and said yes. I perused the menu and decided on the fajita salad. Server arrived at 257pm, no smile or introduction, noticed I was holding the lunch menu and promptly snatched it from me saying lunch was finished. I looked at my phone and it was 257pm, she still said it was closed. I had previously looked online at the menu and decided I wanted to try the chipotle chicken pasta. I noticed the decor was much more Mexican than the place before, plus nice Christmas decor. Nice temperature as well but no music, only loud sports game playing at bar. Meal arrived, plate was really hot. Looked appetizing But really was not. It tasted like a gluggy fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. Zero heat level which surprised me, had to add some of the salsa to give it a kick. Sauce was to thick and oily, intact was pooling in oil, very unappealing. As unknown server was seating another couple while walking past asked if everything was good and just kept walking. It's got potential for sure. I noticed several staff leaving for the day, they were friendly and said hello as passing by. Menu looks good and why I chose pasta at a Mexican restaurant May have been a bad choice. We stopped here for lunch after visiting the Library Center. I love the atmosphere of the restaurant. It's open and bright. Not too loud. They have a great bar area and a nice outdoor patio area that will be great for the warmer months. I ordered the vegetarian enchiladas and my husband ordered the beef chimichanga. His meal came with rice, beans, and a small salad. Mine came with rice. The beef chimichanga was very good when I tried some of his but my vegetarian enchiladas were boss! The spinach cream sauce was divine. The enchiladas were stuffed with fresh veggies like zucchini, squash, and mushrooms. It was so good. First of all, I have to commend the staff at Casa Bella, because of their excellent service and friendly demeanor. Especially our server, Rebecca. Everyone was dressed up for Halloween. One of the most memorable costumes was a fellow who was dressed like the pope. Good times! Now to the food... I decided to try a new entrée this time... I chose enchiladas Del Mar. Boy was I happy about that choice! The tortillas for soft and tender and the fillings tasted fabulous. They were all enveloped by the delicious sauce. Compliments to the chef! I also like jalapeños, but I prefer pickled. They brought me a plentiful side order of delicious jalapeños, and they were pickled. One of our party had a birthday, and they brought her a sombrero and some fried ice cream and sang to her. It was lovely! I'm going to include some photos. Quite a memorable evening! Excellent Sunday special!!! I tried the Sunday special which was a TORTA AHOGADA. Not knowning what to expect with this sandwich on crusty bread filled with carnitas and topped with pickled red onions and pickled cucumbers. Then the torta is covered or should I say dunked in an amazingly flavored tomato chili type sauce. Omg this is one of the best things I have eaten in a very very long time!! Let's just say this Sunday special has the crave factor!!! This is a must try!!! The down side it's only available as a special on Sundays. Go try you wont be disappointed !!!! read more

We went there for dinner upon a recommendation from a friend. The service was not good. We had to wait a long time for someone to come to our table and then the drinks and water came a long time after the chip and salsa. The food was good. Good salsa and good enchiladas. We were on our way back from our vacation to Branson, and we were craving some Mexican food. We looked on yelp and chose this place because it was pretty close off the highway and had good reviews. I ordered the fajita burrito. The steak meat was seasoned well and was not dry. The cheese sauce was fresh and homemade. Your meal also comes with salsa freshly made for you to enjoy. So I have only been in Springfield a couple weeks on this trip. But I've been coming to Springfield for about 30 years. This is hands-down my favorite Mexican food spot now. It wasn't super busy at lunch so it was easy to find parking and the service was awesome. I had a great waiter named Jefferson. I also met the owner, Sergio I think. I might be wrong on that. I had the fajita chicken taco salad. It was great there was a lot more meat than greens. And they got my order correct. I don't like peppers and they also did what I asked on the onions, cooked them really really well. The tea was fresh and not stale. I asked for a lot of ice in my tea and I got a good amount so I am happy. I will be going back to try a shrimp dish that the ladies next to me recommended. read more

I love this place. Clean, friendly service! The food is yummy too. I really do enjoy the fresh guacamole. It's costly but it's made from fresh ingredients and they make it table side for you. Casa Bella was amazing. Chips are the best hands down. I had a blueberry margarita and it was superb. There was 8 of us at 730 on a Saturday night was busy but they got us in promptly. The burritos were huge and full of spices. I had the shrimp tacos and another had the fish tacos. The best we have ever had bar none. Highly recommend them.
