Service was absolutely atrocious. It took over 30 minutes just to place an order for our group of five -- and that was before the real disappointment even started. Then they had the nerve to tack on a service charge for service that barely existed. And the crab legs? Laughably small -- the tiniest I've ever been served. A real let down. At least Springfield has a few more options. Shrimp was over cooked which gave it a rubbery texture. The crab legs were tiny(Krab Kingz, more like Skinny Crabs). Over all lots of flavor and veggies were good but the quantity wasn't there for the price. read more

Krab Kingz is hands down my favorite restaurant in Springfield. I eat here on a weekly basis. The food is always seasoned to perfection and the staff is amazing! I know it's a seafood restaurant but you MUST try their wings. These are the best chicken wings I've had in my life! The crab... incredible. The poboys... mouth watering. The ramen... delicious. And the fish tacos... unexplainably good. 10/10 read more

Ok the seafood boil was tasty but disappointing, the spice was spot on the shrimp were large and well seasoned. The crab was small compared to other restaurants the potatoes were cooked well, the downhill slide was with the sausage which was way over cooked as was the corn. The stuffed mushrooms were made well and tasted good but were way to salty and we love salt. The fried okra was great, no issues there. The fries are the bomb and be great just by themselves. The fried shrimp were large but my wife did not care for the batter, they were also a little salty, I grew up in cajun land and just telling you how i feel. read more

My husband Chris & I ate at Krab Kingz last night for the first time, we loved it! Carly took excellent care of us, friendly, down to earth, kind & very informative of the menu. I had the frog legs and fried okra, so yummy. Chris had crab legs, shrimp, mini corn on the cob & potatoes, seasoned to perfection and YumOH! Of course, I ate some crab/shrimp & a couple potatoes too. Krab Kingz is a casual, come as you are restaurant, the owner Tamara, came out and spoke to the couple at a table behind us about everything crab etc... we hadn't gotten our food yet...however our mouths were watering just listening to their conversation! This place sucks. overpriced for pieces of crab with no meat in them. over $100 and sat around waiting on staff. the waiter was a long blonde haired guy that sat around on his phone the whole time. drinks sat around empty. I asked if they offered a military discount just for the hell of it. the guy working the register said the do but only on Wednesdays, then added that he didn't think that the store has ever even honored that. then asked what the discount was and he didn't even know and couldn't even guess a percentage. avoid this place at all cost. read more

Four of us just finished dinner tonight at KK. The service was friendly & prompt. The strip mall storefront opened to a spartan décor featuring a undersized dining area with sturdy, paper-covered tables and uncomfortable metal chairs. It was an "all-business" environment reminiscent of hundreds of serious seafood shops throughout the South which do bulk sales, catering & takeout as their mainlines with an eatery as almost an afterthought. KK featured a tiny bar featuring cold bottled beer, a few cocktails and some odd fruit-flavored slushies for the kids but could also be laced with vodka, rum or tequila for the adults. We ordered waters, two Cosmo's & a Corona along with a fried 'gator appetizer which all came promptly. The 'gator was extraordinarily good as 'gator goes in Springfield. Though the pieces were smallish, they were abundant and perfectly battered, seasoned & lightly fried. We were encouraged that the seafood entrees we ordered would be similarly treated. Instead, we were disappointed by the heavily battered, super-fried fish & shrimp. When you fought past the batter, the shrimp were decently sized, plump & well-seasoned and decently tasty. The frog legs appeared less heavy and the chicken about average. Surprisingly, the fries & hush puppies were lightly fried and delicious. I had ordered my meal with heavy Cajun seasoning...it didn't pass the bayou test. This is my general knock against "Cajun" restaurants in Springfield: Most don't know Cajun from cajones... My dilemma with KK's seafood is that the seafood itself seems fresh, moist & flavorful, but the inconsistent battering & frying is an unfortunate aspect. The shame is that they apparently know how to do it right, but they sorely lack the consistently which is critical in my book. The meals were good, not great, though certain foods had great elements. Don't get me wrong, KK has some of the better seafood in town and I recommend a visit. But it has so much more potential...and that's the pity. read more

My husband and I ran into Krab Kingz at a Juneteenth festival in Springfield. The food was all sold out. We had a chance to talked to the owners and promised we would come by the resturant for dinner before we left town (there for a wedding) so glad we did. We were served some of the best seafood ever. The flavor was not just on top of the food, but marinated in the food. These people know what they're doing. And service was friendly and accommodating. My advice, if ever visiting or looking for some good eats, slide into Krabkingz, you will NOT be disappointed if seafood is your thing. read more
