Globetrotter taco: Pretty good pork belly used on this taco...with a hit of bright verde sauce. And the cotija cheese is an excellent addition. BA Baracus taco: they use a braised brisket on this taco. Today, the brisket was very dry. BUT...the rojo sauce...sure made this taco slot better. Cotija cheese....not bad. (Just) need to cook that brisket less...or use a better brisket... Average Joe taco: done with a coarse ground beef....this meat was seasoned quite well. All and all..another good taco variation. This is my fav springfield spot. It's in a great neighbourhood and the employees are amazingly friendly. I eat here pretty often so I can safely say the food is consistently good. It's safe for Gluten free eaters aswell. Sometimes it can be a little spicy but that's just me. Everything on the menu is delicious. The nachos are filling and I'm not a fan of beans but the bowls are good as-well. I think the Tofu King is my favourite even though Globetrotter is the most popular. However, i would say the BA nachos are better. I have not had any of the alcoholic beverages so I cannot recommend. read more

What a cute shop! This place is so trendy and tasty! B.A. Baracus bowl was legit. I highly recommend! So flavorful and delicious. Located on Cherry in the Rountree neighborhood, Team Taco is a small red building with a wonderful patio and fountain. On the menu you'll find street tacos, rice bowls, and nacho plates. I ordered 2 tacos, at $3.50 each, the B.A. Baracus and The Globetrotter. The B.A. had beef brisket, red sauce, cotija cheese, onion, and cilantro. The Globetrotter has smoked pork belly, verde sauce, cotija cheese, and the the rest of the fixins. The meat on both was juicy and flavorful and the tortillas were crisp. They didn't skimp on the filling either. Not only do they have amazing tacos, they also have cocktails, beer, wine, and cider. It's a small building so there is limited indoor barstool seating. It is located in a gentrified neighborhood next to other restaurants and shops. There is plenty of outdoor covered seating in a clean and pleasant environment. While the menu may not be quite as extensive as at other establishments there are plenty of options. The taste and the quality of the tacos is top notch. The Redbird, their chicken taco, is probably the best chicken taco that I have had. We've been to Team Taco twice in one week because we love it so much. This walk-up taco stand is tucked in an up and coming hipster neighborhood. Their guac is amazing - fresh and tasty, topped with cilantro, tomato, and red onion. It really pops in your mouth with each bite and is probably my favorite thing on the menu. With a small menu, it makes it easy to keep things consistent and dialed in. Our favorite tacos are the Redbird (chicken) and Tofu King (topped with pickled onion and carrot). Came here with the hubby after a long bike ride. The staff was super friendly and greeted us though their walk-up counter/window. My husband (who said he was pretty hungry) ordered the 3 for $9.99 tacos. His favorite was the pork belly (Globetrotter). Said he got full after the 3 which surprised me since they were street tacos (smaller size). He said there was a lot of meat on the tacos - especially the pork on the globetrotter. I absolutely LOVED my pork belly rice & black beans bowl!! Ordered it without any substitutions & thankfully the generous scoop of sour cream was on the far side of the to-go box, so I could portion/mix it in as desired. The flavors were POPPIN. The pork was juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside. There was a little bit of seating on benches outside the restaurant, but not a lot of space if you plan to eat there. If you're fine with sitting on the curb or taking your tacos to go - that's probably the best route. Overall, I'd definitely visit Team Taco again! read more

Also got the globetrotter in bowl w rice and while that also was good the portion was very small, maybe a 1/3 of what you get at Chipotle. Fantastic food which brought back memories of famous food trucks in Seattle. Today was rainy and their outdoor eating area had heating lamps. The tacos were mouth watering. It's hard for us foodies to find such good food around here. We found a place that hit the spot! Our 4 year old enjoyed the tacos while our 2 month old patiently let us eat. These tacos are as close to top notch as you can get. There are lots of really good authentic taco places out there but these tacos are on another level. When I showed up probably around 4 P.M. nobody was there and was a little confused cuz it's clear from the photos and reviews that this place is really good, and then by the time I had a drink and my tacos came out maybe 50 different people showed up within 15 mins as I was eating my tacos. After I was done eating my 4 tacos a 20 minute line had formed... and I had to wait in line for 20 mins just to get 1 more taco cuz they are that good. Guac was amazing... the freshness and the taste from the in house made rojo and verde chile sauce was amazing and immediately understood why they cost 1$ each. The owner CLEARLY takes pride in his product. Everything is fresh, clean, and very artisan in preparation. Pork belly was out of this world, as was the pork shoulder and brisket. I think I saw a review below that said it is a little pricey...yeah, but it is well worth the extra cost given the clear superior quality of the tacos and freshness and preparation to make them that way. read more

I get to enjoy these delicious bad boys Saturdays after my outdoor workouts across the street. I have so far indulged in the Average Joe, Red Bird, Tofu-King, Groundskeeper and BA Baracus. My fave so far is a tie between the Groundskeeper and Tofu-King. I can't wait for many more Saturdays filled with post workout tacos.
