My family has been coming here for almost 16 years. We have always been greeted with warm smiles. Service has always, and still is, amazing. The food is also great and always hot and they always have chips and salsa set out for you. Great place to go out with the family. read more

We keep eating here so we must like it. The food is pretty good and the service is too. Not much in the frills or ambiance department but that's ok. We usually go for the lunch specials. Can't really go too wrong. Average food pricing, skip the sodas. read more

Fantastic food. Fantastic service. Definitely, best Mexican restaurant in Springfield!

Great food. Great service. Great price. When we travel through Springfield, this will definitely be a place we eat.

Our dinner at La Hacienda was spectacular! The atmosphere was incredibly friendly, the wait staff (Ivan) was awesome, our food was scrumptious!! Thank you for a fabulous evening!! read more

Now the food was excellent, big portions and delicious flavor, it was the service that left something to be desired. Out of all the places my in-laws could have chosen to spend their 60th wedding anniversary, they chose here, and I was very displeased by the level of service we received. In a party of 10, more than were in the whole restaurant, we were treated like we were less than valued customers. No drink refills, when I tried to ask for more salsa I was rudely interrupted and told "we have other things to do we'll get to you when we get to you" I would've given this establishment 1 star but the food was actually really delicious. The ambiance was pleasant though. Sucky service! read more

La Hacienda - the front of a restaurant - Mexican Near Me - Springfield, Missouri

This is one of the most delicious meals you will ever eat. I have several food allergies and it is always difficult for me to find places that I can eat safely. The food here is always incredible, the service is top notch, and the drinks are strong! Highly recommend the Glenstone location! read more

Food was very good, extremely hot. Service was good. What does ambiance mean? I think it means atmosphere. I thought it was good. I felt comfortable. read more

Not sure that agreement w/ $ notation on their front page---- pricey dinner for 2, though portions were quite generous. We liked salsa and chips. My FLAUTAS were chopped up like finger foods, and very tasty. Frijoles were great too. read more

This is definitely one of our favorite restaurants in town. Everyone is very friendly and the food is really good! The steak chimichanga is wonderful. read more

bruh, I was really hoping for some authentic mexican food when I came here and I was very disappointed to see that the selection on the menu was very limited and there wasn't anything on there that was less than $11. The chips came in a small bowl and we were given small containers of salsa. I ordered some tacos de asada (3 tacos and some rice and beans for $15!!!) and the steak was unbelievably chewy and dry. the tortillas were also falling apart. They also added onions and cilantro on my taco rather than having it as an optional side that can be added as desired. The bathroom was unsanitary and there were a variety of issues that seemed to be unattended:!the stalls were coming off the walls, tiles were missing from the floor, and a chunk of the mirror was broken off and left exposed. The only redeeming aspect of that restaurant is the staff, the waiter that tended to us was very polite and made sure to ask if there was anything we needed. Overall not the best but i've had worse. read more

First time visit to this fine Mexican restaurant. Went at 11:00 AM on a Sunday morning. We were seated immediately and given a chance to look the menu over. Chips and salsa were provided just moments after we got our drinks. Husband ordered taco salad and I got the chicken and spinach enchiladas that came with beans and rice. My husband's reaction was "this is the best taco salad I've ever eaten!" I enjoyed my dish a lot but couldn't eat everything. I wound up giving a big part of the rice to my husband and he loved it. The restaurant isn't large but was arranged well and the booths were comfortable. Server was efficient and did a good job. We definitely will be going back. read more

I'm not sure if the changed recipes, but food here is not of the same quality. They went from one of the top Mexican restaurant Springfield to the bottom. They have Americanized the food here. And it lacks flavor and is now more like Tex-max. read more

It's a good affordable stop if you're in the mood for Springfield Tex-Mex. I went here with my Dad and a friend of his for a Sunday afternoon lunch. The place was packed which was a great sign! Since it was so busy, the service was a bit slow but it was obvious it wasn't for lack of trying; our server was hustling from table to table and the bussers were making certain chips and salsa were out, tables were cleaned, and helping serve main entrees behind the servers. Don't take the 3 star rating for a bad sign. I'm going by the Yelp subtitles: it was, in fact, A-OK. I ordered veggie enchiladas and they were a little on the salty side, but that didn't stop me from eating them. My dad and friend ordered margaritas and they loved them. The queso dip was perfectly fine: a touch runnier than I prefer, but the flavor was there. Nothing was out-of-the-ball-park amazing, but nothing was certainly bad either. Again: A-OK. La Hacienda was very accommodating for large groups, so if needed, I'd recommend this for an outing. I'd be back, but I'm not in a hurry or making it a priority. read more

La Hacienda - Veggie Burrito - Mexican Near Me - Springfield, Missouri

Fantastic Mexican food -- the best in Springfield. The people are real and very nice. It's old and dated, but clean. We go for the food. Chips are excellent. Salsa is good, but I've had better. The burritos, enchiladas are exceptional. Prices are fair -- pre Covid they were the best value in the city! The sauces are perfect. La Hacienda doesn't short-change you on the fillings in your taco, enchilada or burrito. I just can't say enough good about this place. I was ANGRY when the owner (who I do not know) was seriously taken advantage of at a local hospital that billed for tens of thousands of dollars needlessly. I'm glad after KY3 story that things have been rectified. It was a commonsense matter run amok. That's behind Alfonso now. Let's celebrate great Mexican food at La Hacienda! read more

Great REAL Mexican Not Texmex food. Get the fish tacos fresh and delicious. Full bar and Mexican beers. May not look like much on the outside, but it is pure Mexican all inside. read more

I frequented this restaurant for YEARS, and now, after a bad service experience, I will never to go back. I opened my to-go container, and it was like someone flipped my container multiple times smearing sour cream, lettuce, tomatoes and jalapenos all over the container.  The grease did have time to settle, though, underneath my quesadilla, and took MULTIPLE paper towels to wipe it up.  Unfortunately, my food was saturated by grease (it literally felt wet).  I know I wasn't getting a salad, but I also didn't order a bowl of grease soup.  I should also mention that my salsa was in a container upside down in the bag.  Thank God it didn't spill.   I called to let them know what happened - it's not normal for this place.  Instead of apologizing or offering solutions (refund, coupon, literally, ANYTHING), I was told grease happens because of ingredients and he'd let the kitchen know. I was disappointed to not have a lunch I had been craving for weeks.  I was disappointed to splurge on lunch out, by myself, and not be able to eat it.  But most of all, as a kind, polite, faithful good tipper and supporter of this restaurant, I am most disappointed this is how they treat those who rooted for them. read more

we tried this during lunch and it was pretty good! My only complaint is that the queso is the yellow queso not the white, which is just my preference! Otherwise the lunch special deals were great (my sisters fajitas were amazing, I had the supreme nachos and they were good as well!) read more

My husband and I have eaten here quite a few times. Our food has always been prompt and very tasty ! The service can sometimes be a little slow as they seem to sit in the bar area and watch t.v. a lot, but we would still go back for sure ! The food most definitely makes up for the sometimes slow service. I try something new every time I go and have yet to be unhappy with the meal. Prices are good and they always have specials ! read more

Salsa and chips were pretty good. There is a variety of lunch plates and good values! I had the number 9 from lunch menu; chicken enchilada was good but chicken taquito was so tough and hard to chew. Service wasn't bad but they couldn't handled the rush hour. read more

Love this restaurant. We are vegetarian so that can be a challenge. The vegetarian menu is excellent. I always have the burrito. I love , full of beans and vegetables. My husband has had the chimichanga and the quesadillas, both excellent. Love that it isn't all the "usual". Good service, clean restaurant. read more

ThIs place always does me good they got good food good service. Fast service for pick up. All good from me. Much love to good ppl

The best Mexican Restaurant I have eaten at in Springfield is La Hacienda. I am happy with fajitas or enchiladas. I like the beans and rice.

The salsa is good, however the poultry is dark, they do not allow any substitutes whatsoever so be sure you like everything as presented. Has a very hole in the wall vibe. read more

The menu is extensive and the food is good and served nice and hot but what really sets this place apart is the service. It is attentive and timely but above all the waitresses make you smile. It was a great experience read more

The Has has come to town. I was here yesterday. We were served by the owner himself and the service was impeccable. You have to try their flaming queso. It was unbelievable. I really enjoyed the chile relleno. It made me happy. When it comes to Mexican, this is at the top. read more

The owner and his family are great. My only complaint: who puts pepper in the salsa? That is WRONG. Sauce for chips should have: tomatoes, onion, cilantro, pinch of salt and fresh garlic -- add some peppers if you want (red peppers or any kind of pepper you prefer). Add anything EXCEPT black pepper. It does nothing for the flavor and it tickles the throat. read more

Wonderful place and food. Great customer service. Always receive our order in an exceptionally quick fashion & if there's any delay, they've always explained and been almost too apologetic. They are also rarely busy, which I really appreciate. read more

So it's my first time in Springfield and I've been looking around for authentic Mexican restaurant and I just can't see to find one that hits the spot. I'm from California so it's definitely a different taste when it comes to Mexican food. I ordered the 3 carne asada taco plate the rice was a little over cooked and the carne Asada tacos where very very bland. The meat was burnt and it had no flavor, it had too much cilantro and the onion weren't even mixed in with the meat. The lady's didn't give me no type of green or red sauce for my tacos. Mexican food is all about flavor and spices and I didn't get any of that. Sadly. I'm just starting to think Mexican food outside of California and Mexico is just not worth to get. read more

When we moved from Ca to Missouri we were looking for good mexican food. This place is not that. The salsa was like they used spaghetti sauce. The tacos I ordered were blaw. The wife ordered tamales. Hormel beef tamales in a can are better than what was served. I took a bite of them and spit it out. Utterly disgusting. Will never go back. read more

Ate at the La Hacienda on Glenstone the other day for lunch. Had the #4 lunch special/burrito. It was pipping hot (temperature...not peppers) and very delicious. The salsa and chips were excellent. The waiter was great also. I will go back. read more

Best steak chimichangas you've ever had. Fresh salad with meal. Warm tortillas and a!, quick service (even when they're very busy). Very reasonably priced menu. Not the fanciest place. But without question, my favorite restaurant in Springfield, MO. If you've gotta have fancy, but don't care about the service or the food, you can go just about anywhere else in Springfield. But if your priorities are the food and service rather than "fancy" you cannot beat this place (did I mention the price? Doesn't matter. You still can't beat this place at twice the cost.. yes; it's that good!). read more

Great tasting food. Awesome queso. Traditional Mexican food restaurant atmosphere. Refills were slow during a time when they weren't busy. Other than that, great experience. read more
