We had some questions about a priority pass that we had and the staff did not take the time to explain to us the issue and very short with us and not give us the time of day. We ended up staying since we already sat down and the wine was pretty good but the staff seemed annoyed while serving us and not very friendly. Great wine experience to go to with friends. They have a huge selection of wines to taste and a beautiful patio to sit in. My only problem was that the food was very mediocre. Prices are also extremely steep for what you're getting. I would only recommend the prime rib sandwich and the mustard slaw that came with it wasn't very good. Award winning Persian tacos were not very good also. Flavor was weird and chicken patty tasted very bland and unpleasant. Prime rib flatbread was god only if you like stinky cheese because it was very stinky and very cheesy. All dishes were about $20 and we didn't even finish one whole plate of anything. I would just stick to wine and cheese here and maybe eat before you come. read more

Being an Iranian American myself, I am pleased to see that there is a winery that showcases our culture and heritage as well. Many of the wines were named after famous Persian poets. The next time you are in wine country, stop by Fazeli's and ask for Lisa...she is in the wine tasting area...she is knowledgeable on every wine, and super friendly. I had guests coming from out of town and I took them there for wine tasting. Lisa made It a great experience. She was very knowledgeable about the wines and the history of how the cellars came about. On the other hand, we went to look around and got to the members room and found three ladies working there and I started asking questions about the membership and was responded to very rudely, and was told we weren't a "good match", exact words. Later I asked who she was and they told me she was the manager, don't remember her name, hence the 2 stars. This was on Saturday October 9th at 6 p.m closing time. Needless to say, idea of membership is out but we will still go back and visit Lisa. She's a great person and a real asset to the establishment. read more

Wow, what a rip off! We paid $27 for a tasting that lasted 5 minutes. The server didn't describe anything we were tasting whatsoever. She handed us a menu and asked what we wanted. No description, no conversation, nothing. It was unlike any tasting experience I've ever had. For $27, it would have been nice to at least hear about the tiny 1 oz pours we got. It wasn't enough wine to even get a good taste and decide if we wanted to buy any. She didn't ask if we wanted to try anything again, didn't offer to sell us any wine, etc. I'm not asking to be over-served or anything of the sort, but I did expect to get more for the price I paid. If I'd have known the tasting would be like that, I would have ordered a full glass of something for way less money. read more

Yesterday we brought our husbands w us for very first time, got party of 14 n spent almost $850, $400 on food n wine while we dine in n other almost $450 for bottles of wine we brought home. Till While driving back home my husband told us that the owner who's wearing a Nut cracker costume have not been nice to them while they were smoking outside n ask if one of the guy if he's drinking spike coke on a cup. First they serve bottled coke so if u want ice on ur coke u would use a cup n ice. He seemed to be roaming around his winery , greets ppl n wants to be on top of things, but fuc he needs to learn to think before opening his mouth. Long story short after finding out how our husbands experiences at this winery our friends are canceling their memberships n yesterday is our last at Fazeli. Like what I've said the owner doesn't think before he speak! $270?!?!? Ordered few/4 flight wine, 3 sample platter that alone is $200+ as u can see on our table. On top of those, we got 2 bottles of wine few salads , 2 flat bread tacos n another few entrees, plus tax n tip, Look at the pics n do the math since u work there n tell me I'm making up stuff! Talking about courtesy, we have 2 friends that got their membership bottle n we did'nt even think of opening it because we know due to Covid the company is trying to recoup their losses. I was part of a vendor crew that was apparently not at the same level as the band or dj and we were seated outside to eat our dinner in togo containers like dogs. Even dogs get to eat inside, actually. I have worked at many high class events and we have never treated any vendors that way. About 20 minutes goes by and my wife asked me to go to the car to grab her jacket. Since service was slow, I decided to make a run before she came back to place our food order. We went here for their pop up oyster bar. Let me to tell you I hate oysters, well the only one I actually enjoyed was cooked and that was in new Orleans. But I wanted to step outside the box and I ordered six and OMG they where so delicious. They didn't have a fishy smell or taste. They tasted sweet and they had lemon and a wine sauce which made it even yummier. These oysters are so large and the price is reasonable. By far, my favorite winery in town! To start, this place is not along the "main strip" of wineries along rancho. Don't let that deter you! The short detour down the De Portola wine trail really pays off here. The winery is located at the top of a long driveway, with efficient and free valet parking available at the end. The winery is beautiful, with staircases flanking either side of the patio area. This is a fantastic spot to stop and take a few pictures before heading upstairs to the patio and tasting area. The main tasting room is very inviting, with wood and teal accents along the bar. The servers are all so friendly and take the time to explain the wines and the stories behind them. If you are unsure of what to start with, allow them to guide you. Part of the fun of wine tasting is allowing yourself to explore the menu and trying new things. My personal favorite is the Khayyam, but I enjoy all of their reds. The views here are the best in the valley. I'm not exaggerating when I say it feels like you've been transported to another city. The winery also has live music on the weekends for you to enjoy. If that wasn't enough, the food here is excellent. It can take some time for your order to come out (especially on weekends) so don't hesitate to order if you are hungry. The gyro tacos are my go-to here, light but filling and full of flavor. The mezze platter serves two, with tender meat. The artisian plate is HUGE and easily serves 3-4 hungry adults. If you are looking for something vegetarian, the grape leaves and Mediterranian wrap get my vote. Finish things off with some homemade baghlava another glass of wine. read more

I absolutely love Fazelli. I have been a member since right after it opened and have never had a bad experience. The reds are bold and hearty unlike many of the other watered down wines in the valley. I guess the beauty of the wine is in the eye of the beholder but I have been many places around California and this wine does not disappoint. There was only one time I did not enjoy the tasting but that was strictly because of the rude wine pourer who is no longer employed there! Otherwise everyone is very sweet and accommodating. The owner is frequently roaming around and talks to his customers. The bar food is unique but tasty. The views are spectacular. Off the beaten path. There is plenty of room and seating for everyone. They often have live music on the outside patio. read more

This vineyard is relatively new. We decide to start the new year the healthful intoxication from aged a grapes. This vineyard is gorgeous. I assume that the architecture had many of the Persian influence, even with the names of the wine. Many of the red wines were named after Persian poets such as Omar Khayyam (one of my favorite Persian poets). "And do you think that unto such as you A maggot-minded, starved, fanatic crew God gave a secret, and denied it me? Well, well--what matters it? Believe that, too!" I love the calm ambiance--very spacious and very good live singer. The sun was warm and not too intense, perfect for the outdoor patio. We got so lost in the ambiance and selfies, we even forgot a bottle of wine on the barrel in front of the vineyard. We didn't realize it until a day after check out of the hotel and driven back. We called in, and they found our bottle of white wine--they offered to send it to us. Much appreciated! We will come back for sure. read more

Everything has been wonderful. I enjoyed the live music. The wines were all good but none stood out to be amazing to me. Or group usually purchases a few bottles per winery we visit and we decided not to at this last one. Beautiful venue. We're hungry but the food is at an hour wait so we decided to also skip ordering food. We've been to 4 other wineries today and this winery has pour spouts and we were a little sad haha. Every else we've been have free poured and yes you get a little more wine. So these tastings seem like two swallows. Also this is the only winery we've visited who doesn't let you take your glass :,( I'm very proud of my wine glass selection. It's all glasses from our wine tasting trips and each winery has special memories I get to share when we have guests. Our visit was enjoyable however I don't think we'd revisit this specific location. We have a few favorites we revisit such as our number 1 favorite we always start our day at which is Lumiere Winery! Also granted this by my personal taste and it's Mother's Day weekend. So I don't know if this food time is a normal thing or not. So giving them the benefit of the doubt I'll change my review to 4 stars rather than the 3 I originally put. Oh.
