Came here for my mom's 60th birthday. I called ahead to let the staff know and they offered a free bottle of wine, and upgraded our rooms' views. It was our first time in Temecula, and first time staying at a winery. The rooms are very rustic, but definitely not old. We had 2, non-adjoining, Queen rooms, and there were USB ports in the headboard of my bed! That's a first for me. The inn has WiFi, an ice machine, and two vending machines on the bottom floor. The breakfast is made to order in their restaurant, and I got the florentine benedict. The yolk was delightfully runny, and the staff offered me some homemade salsa, which I happily accepted as someone who loves spicy food. It was delicious and extra spicy! read more

We spent our Labor Day weekend at Churon doing a Groupon wine tasting which included a wine flight and charcuterie board for 2. I believe after all the discounts, it ended up being $60. Not bad compared to the other wineries. My boyfriend ordered stuffed jalapeños on the side and that came out to almost $20 for 4 of them. They weren't anything special and were quite pricey so I would just stick to the board if you come here. The service however was excellent and the place wasn't crowded at all. The vibes of this winery seems like a spot loved by locals as they do trivia some nights and other events such as live music which we missed out on. The music playing here was throwback 70s/80s music but I would have much preferred classical or something more elegant. But overall, if you want a budget wine tasting experience or you're just getting into wine this would be a good spot to check out. This winery is located towards the beginning of the wine country so you don't need to drive too far in. There is ample parking and an outdoor patio and indoor tables. The view isn't too bad but it was a hot day when we went so we opted for a table inside. There seems to be a small inn attached to this winery as well so that is an option if you would like to stay on the property which is nice. read more

We really enjoyed this winery. We came and played music bingo and had a blast! My son won a bottle of wine and his girlfriend won a glass of wine. They have it on Friday's. BTW, the fish tacos were delicious! We continued to put in several orders after our first order because they were so good. They have a sweet wine that was really good and the service was good too. We stopped here on impulse and kind of wished we hadn't. The experience here was not as good at carter estates. They allow you to sit anywhere, but expect you to go to their desk to get each of the tastings, which is very inconvenient. We sat outside to enjoy the beautiful property but had to go back in for every tasting and it took away from our experience. Wine itself was good. I only had one white and did not love it but the reds were good. Bruschetta was delicious. I can't help but compare to Carter Estates and service there is far better and I recommend going there instead. I'm sure it's not the staff but the winery policies but for me if you want people to enjoy and tip you want to make their visits as pleasant as possible. I wouldn't go back. read more

I cannot find the words to describe how magical our wedding at The Inn at Churon Winery truly was. From the moment we stepped onto the grounds, it felt like we were in a romantic, timeless dream. I have lived in Temecula for 24 years and this is by far the worst winery of them all!!! We went for my girlfriend's bday lunch. There is NO SERVICE. You literally pay for your food at a cashier and they give you a number to put on your table and they bring your food with plastic cutlery, wrapped in a cheap napkin. We asked for an extra plate because we were sharing a salad and flatbread and they brought us the smallest paper plate like the one they sell at Walmart. Would never return to this place it's a joke of a winery if you plan to eat there as well. read more

We had a patio room here that overlooked the Vineyard. The view from the top of the hill is STUNNING, it feels like you're in Italy. I have wine tasted at over 200 locations and wow... I really, really like the reds here. I wish I snapped a photo of the menu!!! I am considering being a wine club member here.. the Barbera was incredible, and every wine they serve is award winning! I am in love with this winery. Service is quick, attentive, and very professional. I really enjoyed my visit. There is indoor and outdoor seating. I brought my dog and we enjoyed the scenery walking up the ramp. No bathroom downstairs where u taste and sit and there is an upstairs patio but guess if u BUY a bottle and take outside upstairs is ok to see any kind of view! This is the first winery, I've ever visited where they just hand you a flight and the menu. Meaning, they don't talk you through anything. Share history, nothing, just legit brought out the flight. We bought a Groupon for the premier tasting w/a charcuterie board. The wine was subpar to say the least, but the board was cool. They double filled the short wine glasses, with the expectation of us to pour/separate the wine into our bigger glasses. The view outside is amazing. We had never been to Churon Winery and decided to give it a try last Sunday. The grounds and facilities are well kept and landscaped. It was very warm, but there was ample indoor and outdoor seating available. We elected to sit on the patio which had a nice shaded covering, and a guy playing saxophone music. The wine tasting receptionist was very friendly. I asked about a 2 for 1 wine tasting special i received from the winery by email a day or two before my visit, advertised as valid through the holiday weekend. It appeared that she made it look hard to find it by shuffling papers, but voila!, she found the offer and provided us with the advertised price reduction. We tried five wines; Pinot Grigio, Viognier, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and a Malbec. The Chardonnay and Malbec were awful. The Pinot Grigio was nice and refreshing, the Viognier was decent, and the Sauvignon Blanc (like most Temecula Sauvignon Blancs), not great. A nice facility, friendly staff, but forgettable wine (from this not a wine snob, easy to impress local guy). We wont be back. read more

We seem to stay at this hotel quite often. And I'm gonna tell you it's not for the wine because we really didn't care for their wines. However, the customer service the level of attention that was given to us and the fact that the rooms are so comfortable. We had a beautiful fireplace. The beds were so comfy, best nights rest. And then to wake up in the morning to a full hot complementary breakfast in the restaurant or on their large patio was perfect , as we were getting ready to go start our day of wine tasting. The staff members are just incredibly sweet. You can host weddings at this property and events plenty of room to host any kind of party that you would want. The parking is free . Absolutely love! We've been members of Churon for years and have really enjoyed our membership and time here. The people are super friendly and the low key vibe here is amazing. I love coming on the weekends when it happens to be above band. The weekend food is amazing as well. I love the shrimp Caesar salad, the Jalapeno Poppers, and can't forget about those Fish Tacos. Mondays and Tuesdays the cafe is not open. If you want a charcuterie board, make sure to call in on Sunday or Saturday so they can have someone make it for Monday or Tuesday. We didn't make it on Sunday to do the wine tasting so we had to do it on Monday and missed out on the fresh charcuterie board. But the prepackaged one wasn't bad. Th reason for only four stars is because the cafe was closed and our Groupon deal wasn't with a fresh charcuterie board. But the service was A+. I wish we could have grabbed a bite to eat here instead of having to drive out on Monday and Tuesday. The wine flight was delicious. I wish we could choose between the sweets, reds or whites or the one they offered. But what we tried was OK. The area to grab a glass of wine is cute. You can sit anywhere around the Inn. My husband and I had a quick stay to see a concert among the vines. Rooms were dated but nice - large spa tub was a plus, it would be even better on a cold night if we could turn on the fireplace, but we loved the views of the hot air balloons from our balcony early in the morning. We travel a lot and what Churon Inn is missing is communication to it's guest. We were given 2 glasses of complimentary wine & spent about $50 on misc snacks before one employee informed us they had a full kitchen..something you think they would of told us at check in. 2 thumbs up to the waiter Chris who was on the ball each day we were there. He is an asset to their venue - don't forget to tip these hard working people! Nice place to stay, lovely grounds and a pretty good price for the location and accommodations. I've been here twice with my family, and both times had a great experience. I love that they're family friendly and the staff were more than happy to talk to my 14 year old sister and answer her random questions lol. Anyways, about the wine: I love the sparkling wines here! I've tried the Passionate Peach and 'Mazing Mango and both are really fruity, sweet, and refreshing. The bottles were also only $24.99 each, so I think it was a great deal. One of the times, we also got a red wine -- I didn't try it, so I can't say whether it was good or not. Like other reviewers have said, the tasting room is downstairs, to the left of the entrance. It's a cute tasting room with a reserved section and a main area that's set up to mimic Paris. So there's the option of sitting and hanging out in the tasting room, or there are 2 outside areas you could enjoy your drink and explore. One area is close to the entrance, near the parking lot and the other area is kind of on the side of the building (just go upstairs and through the glass door opposite of the entrance door). read more

When you enter the lobby, descend down the marble staircase till you get to the wine bar and Cafe. They have plenty of seating down there and it's super cute. The also have some cute things for purchase. The ladies at the wine bar were super welcoming and they were very generous with the pours. They offer a wide selection of wines from Sweet to dry. We went with the Sweet wine flight which comes with 4 tastings. They were all delicious. My favorite was the #1 seller Mazing Mango. I ended up buying a bottle to bring home. It was so delicious. This was our 2nd stop for our wine tour with group of friends. Plenty of parking as well for this winery. It looked like a hotel to me (not sure if they have accommodations. The tasting room is downstairs upon entering the winery building. It had a charming (older) feel to it. Staff had reserved a table for us with a name card so that was super cool. You order from the bar, pay, and food items are delivered when ready. I opted for a glass of wine again and ordered a charcuterie board for all of us to share while waiting for more friends to arrive from LA. The bartenders were so friendly and welcoming. The charcuterie board was generous and beautiful. It was loaded with plenty of meats, cheeses, fruit, and crackers. It went wonderfully with our wines. I can't remember the exact price of board and wine but know it was pricey. The tables were all safely spaced apart so social distancing was respected and observed here for sure. I had a great time at Churon and would recommend trying them if you're in the area. read more
