This is a small store that carries an array of natural foods for dogs and cats, treats,…read moreaccessories, toys, and grooming supplies. Prices are about average for the area. They have better quality pet food than you can get at the big box stores, though they don't carry the grain-in kibble brand I've been feeding for the past few years. I supplement with fresh meat and vegetables and yes, my dog is pampered, but I wasn't ready to switch base kibble brands, and I only saw grain-free options on the shelf. The lone employee was basically polite but not too helpful. I found some treats and shampoo for my dog, but otherwise had to go elsewhere.

Not after today. I brought 1 out of my many dogs in to pick up some training treats. He is only 6 months old. The clerk working approached very quickly/closely to me and my dog. and caught my dog off guard and he nervous peed slightly. The Clerk asked if I wanted to take him outside. So I did to the grass to finish his accident. I returned to pay for the treats and leave. However the clerk yelled at me and my dog not to come back into the store and to leave the dog outside. I calmly informed him I will never be going back to this store again. My puppy had a nervous accident. And it is way too hot outside to leave a pet outside. Especially a black puppy. The clerk furthered the bad experience for my dog and for myself. We both deserved to be treated kindly and with respect.

We scheduled today's appointment in February, but apparently they didn't put him on the books...tired of this runaround from the groomers. I hate posting these type of reviews, but, when they cost me money in gas to get here just to screw me, I get upset... I'm not sure why they treat customers like this, but, we just made an appointment with Petsmart and they are happy too see him. Guess this place lost a customer....

Thank goodness I'm not in a wheelchair, but for those that are, be aware of that. When we got in the store, we noticed it is very disorganized and was cluttered. It also didn't have a very pleasant odor. We went in specifically looking for clothes and bows for my dog, but sadly they had a very small section and everything was disorganized, no bows either(which was fine). I only ended up getting a nylabone and flea meds for my cat. When we got up to the register line, there was only one cashier for a line of about 10 people, he didn't call for an extra clerk. Maybe he couldn't, but the store had several other employees doing random stuff, or just walking around. The cashier was very nice though and didn't seem stressed or overwhelmed. The only reason I gave the store 2 stars is because of the cashier and his professional composure. He greeted us when we got to the register and said have a nice day upon leaving the store. Unfortunately I do not recommend this store as it's very disorganized, cluttered and the lack of another clerk to help with the long line.

I checked the dog section just in case but they only had large ones, no extra smalls. I ended up just getting some individual packs of wet food so I can try some new flavors with my picky eater cat. Before I left I had to go to the bathroom, which is in the back of the store on the right side. It didn't look like it had been cleaned in a while. It got the job done but I didn't feel super sanitary while I was in there. The rest of the store was about the same level of cleanliness - it could use a good sweeping and mopping. The people working there are nice and friendly. The cashier I had was brand new, it was her first day so she made a couple mistakes but she was super sweet and apologetic. The store is part of a shopping center so there's a huge parking lot with plenty of open spots to choose from. There's a light to get in and out so it's super easy to access too. Overall this PetSmart is just fine. It'll do in a pinch (depending on what you need) but next time I would rather go to a small business instead.

I've also bonded with my dog in a way that even working from home couldn't do - we are now able to communicate. The training (we did all three - beginner, intermediate, advanced, plus brain games) was almost more for me than my pup. I learned how to listen to her needs, how to communicate my needs to her, and learned the building blocks to help teach her new things. Kira is amazing and I recommend using her training even if you don't think you "need it". It's a fantastic experience with your pup and you meet great people along the way!

I came across this little store while driving by the strip mall, since this location wasn't yet…read moreacknowledged on Yelp. I just fixed that. They have other locations across town, but this one's super convenient for the Northeast Neighbors area and a good alternative to the big box pet stores, since they carry many brands those don't. As it turns out, they have a wide selection of high quality dog and cat foods, toys, accessories, and grooming supplies. And best of all, they carry the brand of quality grain-in kibble I've been using as a base for my very pampered dog's meals. Prices on all of the above are pretty fair. So I've hit them up several times in the short time we've lived in the neighborhood. The young staff has been friendly and helpful, and offered me a rewards punch card that customers can use to get a loyalty discount when it's full. One strange aspect of this store is that they sell cigarettes. The entire wall behind the counter is festooned with tobacco products, and judging by customer traffic while I've been there, it's likely a significant portion of their sales. It makes me think that selling pet food and supplies may not yield enough profit to pay the rent on these spaces, unfortunately. I'm not a fan of cigarettes, but hey, a lot of people still indulge, so I can't really judge Mini Pet Mart for entering the tobacco market. Maybe that's how they're able to control prices on the pet food and supplies. Parking is available in the lot right outside.
