We came in for lunch today. It was the 1st time at this location, and 1st time to eat inside the restaurant. It's a really large and clean place . Greeted by a few team members today . We ordered Chili Cheese Fries w/ Onions . Fries nice and fresh - did not get soggy w/ the Chili and cheese . I order Big Cheese Burger . Which was very good . Hubby ordered the 4 piece Fish and Chips . Came w/ Fries, onion rings and a side salad . Fish was nice and crisp on the outside and nice and tender inside . Onion rings and Fries hot and fresh . Ordered Chocolate shakes . Thick and creamy . Great place for a meal to go or dine in . We rang the bell to show our appreciation for their service and food . :) read more

This is a fantastic place to have onion rings and their parmesan crusted bread for their chicken bacon avocado sandwich is a reason to stop by. Farmer boys have the best salads. I have tried all of them and they are all sensational. The bbq chicken one is my all time favorite. Overall this place makes all their food fresh to order and they have a great customer service, clean restaurant and clean restrooms. I recommend getting their app to benefit from their loyalty rewards and fantastic food offers. read more

Farmer Boys - Great salad. Large portion - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Modesto, California

Just waited 15 minutes for a room temperature breakfast sandwich. Not sure why. Maybe new crew?

I had the double cheese burger, It was mediocre. By comparison In N Out's double double burger has much better taste / flavor, and doesn't cost as much. This place is more expensive for a worse burger. Maybe another menu item here is actually good but I doubt I'll be back to find out read more

Was out in Modesto on a work trip when I realized there was a farmer boys in my area. I'm used to only seeing these and southern California so I was excited. I had it on over there and ordered what I always order which is the barbecue ranch chicken salad sub the grilled chicken for fried chicken and it's perfect every single time. Literally the best "fast food" salad you can find in my opinion. As far as service goes, I was greeted right away. My order was taken right away. The person who took my order was friendly and accurate. I waited almost no time at all for my salad to come out and it was just as good as ever. This particular establishment was very clean, friendly and inviting. Anytime I'm in Modesto. I will be making sure I stop by this farmer boys to get a barbecue ranch chicken salad. read more

Farmer Boys offers a solid fast food experience. There was no wait, and the large indoor seating area made for a comfortable dining experience. The menu has a wide variety of options, so there's something for almost everyone. My meal was tasty, but nothing so remarkable that I'd go out of my way to return. The customer service was just okay--nothing to write home about, but it didn't detract from the overall experience. Overall, if you're in the area and need a quick bite, Farmer Boys fits the bill, but it may not be somewhere I'd specifically plan to revisit. read more

What the Heck? When was the Farmer Boys menu changed? Grant it I hadn't visited in several years but what a huge decline and dissatisfaction. 1. Patti Melt: Tasteless "beer"? Patties that looked like thin rubber, topped with fake melted cheese on sourdough bread, not rye. 2. Onion Rings: The rings were 1-2" thick and the batter fell off the ring. I have never seen worse anywhere. 3. Chocolate milk shake was good BUT, took 18 minutes to be brought out after I'd eaten a good part of the previous disgusting food. I ended up throwing out 1/2 the Patti Melt and a majority of the OIL rings. Total waste of $20 hard earned dollars. NEVER EVER AGAIN read more

I had an issue and Juan was not really any help, just pay cash, the cashier cant really mess up when you pay exact change.

Food was great, service was great, and it was clean. 10/10 would recommend it was nice to be able to drive through and get real cooked food.

I know its just a chain, but I do like their breakfast plates they have. The service is quick usually. I'm not very fond of their bacon though. The place is clean, the tables wern't dirty at all. Always like coming here read more

So I ordered through doordash, I had eaten here before but tonight's was really good. I ordered the three egg breakfast and the portions were huge! You can't beat the price even at old school diners! And the side of fruit is why I am leaving the review!! Fresh sweet and good variety and plenty of it! My daughter had fish and chips and was happy with it. My son had a sandwich with chicken bacon and avacado! He loved it! Very pleased with our doordashed dinner. read more

Stopped by for lunch on the recommendation of my mom. I'd never had anything from Farmer Boys so I decided to let my stomach lead the way and went with the Fiery Fried Chicken Sandwich combo, which comes with fries and a drink. I also ordered a small cheeseburger on the side because I couldn't resist trying one of their burgers. The chicken sandwich comes on a brioche bun with their Fiery Farmer's Sauce and dill pickles. The chicken breast wasn't quite as big as it appears in their marketing photos but it was breaded nicely and incredibly juicy. It was also made fresh to order so it was very hot. The fiery sauce had good flavor and was definitely spicy, not too overpowering but not weak and tame either. Farmer Boy's fries are really delicious. They're super crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. There appears to be only one size for a side of fries and if you're a bigger eater one bag may not be enough (I do wish you could order different sizes) but between the sandwich and the fries I had barely enough room for the burger. I liked the cheeseburger. There wasn't much to it -- American Cheese, Thousand Island, pickles, and chopped onions -- but it was satisfying in its simplicity and the burger patty had a good grilled flavor and was juicy. Condiments are available so I added some ketchup and mustard. Farmer Boys is really affordable. My total was $14 and some change for the combo and burger on the side, and I liked that the food is made fresh once you put in your order. It takes just a little longer than a traditional fast food place (you order at the counter and seat yourself), but it's worth it. Very good food and nice people. There's a ton of stuff on the menu including all-day breakfast so there's a lot to come back and try. Looking forward to it the next time I'm passing through on the way to visit family. read more

Very first time coming here on the way from Sacramento to Sequoia National Park. Came in with a group of guys and had mixed feelings about the inside as it looks like a mix between a fast food chain and nice dining restaurant but was definitely surprised by the quality of food and service. Food came out within 10-15mins and were pretty good size portions for the price. I got the hog heaven dog and others got omelettes and such. That burrito was really good, packed with flavor in every bite and filling. Would recommend. read more

Went through drive thru for an item I thought was on the menu. Since there was a car in front of me, I made to wrong choice to order something anyways since I couldn't drive off. As I'm writing this I realize I could have just not ordered anything and drive off after the car in front of me left. Anyways for $9 burger I expected better. It was sloppy. Had 1 piece of lettuce and the worse part ever is that the bottom bun is all soggy. I will probably eat this burger without the bottom bun and use a knife & fork to eat it. Thank you! I will not return. read more

Turn around and run the other way. That was the worst burger i ever had. I did not know that hamburger could be that thin. I could not even taste the meat in my "patty melt". My husband stopped in for the first time for breakfast. We decided to get the steak like burgers that was on the window. After we paid I asked for the code to wash my hands and the female cashier responded with I have to be a paying customer in order to use the restroom! I said we are paying customers mind you i was dressed in sweats and hoodie with crocs. As she looked me up and down she said she didn't see me pay . She gave me the code after 5 minutes back and forth which I had the receipt in hand . Never again will I be back ! DO NOT judge a book by its cover! I eat here about 6 times a month for my lunches. I have always had the best food. The fries are so crispy, and today is the first time I have been disappointed. I sat in the drive through for about 20 mins. So I know something is going on, but I know the food is worth the wait. I was handed my food, and when he handed my drink, it was covered with overflowing soda all over it. Dripped all over my lap and all over my car. I still was not going to complain, but when I opened my food. My fries were soft and soggy. My BLT was missing my Alvacado, and even my bacon was so soft. Very sad. I dont know why the wait was so long, but I would have never complained if my food was cooked properly. read more

Always good food. I had the breakfast burrito with bacon and sausage. Never a disappointment. Downside the pico de gallo in the burrito makes it very wet and gets messy. Service was okay.
