I have been wanting to try this place for a while. I love sandwiches, and I love sourdough, so yeah, haha. Can I just start by saying the bread was so refreshingly fresh if that is even a thing? Haha. That bread made me so happy with every bite for real for real. The bread makes the sandwich, and this places bread had me wanting to buy a loaf to take home, and I would have if I wasn't counting my calories. Speaking of calories, I love how they have them on the menu board right next to every item so people like me can keep track. The clam chowder was good and satisfying. Now, I don't think there was a clam in my clam chowder, but the flavor was there, and I enjoyed it. I understand you can't make sure every cup of soup actually gets clams in it. The sandwich combo came with a slice of pickle, which I love, and a choice of a bottle of water or fountain drinks or tea. I loved the ambiance inside. It makes me feel like I'm on the wharf in San Fransico. It wasn't too busy at the time, so they had a pickup section and sign, but they brought my food to my table, which was very nice. I don't know if that's standard procedure or not, but it was appreciated. The worker also came back with a small stack of napkins for me, which was noticed and very kind. The cashier was very friendly as well and just all around good friendly service. My only grippe is with the price. $21 for a 6-inch sandwich with a small cup of soup and drink is a little on the high side in my personal opinion. With that said, prices are increasing everywhere, and I think we will eventually get used to it, and it will become normal. I'm just not used to it yet. I do understand the business has to make money. So it's possible I'm wrong in this opinion of mine, maybe, just maybe, haha. At the end of the day, I was satisfied with the food and the experience. Every bite of my sandwich and soup was enjoyable. Everything about the sandwich was on point and well portioned out. Good amount of meat for that thickness of bread. The right amount of tomatoes and lettuce. It's just very well portioned out. I can't wait to bring family and friends here and try the flat breads and other sandwiches and cookies they have at the register. I saw you cookies, yes you looked delicious. But I already reached my calories for the day. I'll definitely be getting you next time, haha Pro tip: download the app before going so you can earn points towards discounts and free food, etc.

My second time here. I'm a sandwich guy so this place interested me. This time I went with the chicken BBQ flatbread. This was pretty tasty but messy. I want to try the Italian one next time.

I ate at one in a different city and liked what I had ordered. This one opened up near my home so my son and I came to try it. I ordered the BBQ Chicken flatbread and potato soup. My son ordered an 8" garlic pesto turkey and a side of Mac & cheese. The food was prepared as ordered amd was very good. I personally loved the potato soup but thought the Mac & cheese was meh. The flatbread and sandwich had no complaints from either of us. It was fresh, tasted great and had nice presentation. Staff were exceptionally friendly and the place was clean. It is a little on the pricey side but I thought it was worth it.

I picked up lunch here the other day! I was excited to see they finally opened . I was there around 11:20am. When I entered the business there was no line. Yay! And all the employees said welcome to Sourdough & Company. That was nice. So I paced a order for a 6 inch chicken sandwich and a French dip to-go. French dip was also a 6 inch. Sandwich's came with a pickle. Price came out to $25.33 for the 2 sandwiches. Pretty pricey . I started noticing a lot of people coming in as it was getting close to lunchtime. I really liked my French dip . The sourdough bread was fresh and delicious. I also loved the Au Jus. Super flavorful! My daughter thought her chicken salad sandwich was just ok . She didn't like that they put cranberry sauce in it . She also didn't like the grapes in sandwich. She said next time she would want to try a different sandwich. I really wish they had a point system or a email club. Sandwich's are expensive so I'd love it if we could earn points towards a free sandwich. I look forward to trying different sandwiches out & the soups. This is a great spot for lunch!!

##9. Cracked Pepper Turkey Sandwich $19.26 for the meal, inflation is at a new level.

This place has nice cozy vibes. The service was great. It's not a very large place, but the servers…read morewere very attentive and quick. Food came out quickly, especially for considering that every table was full in that place. I ordered the vermicelli bowl #20 with shrimp pork and chicken. I enjoyed the pork the most, there wasn't much chicken, but there was a lot of lettuce. I added all of the sauce given for my noodles, but even after that they still tasted dry. I really wish it was better, but it was just ok food.

I heard about this place for a long time and we happened to be in Modesto just down the road, so…read morewe stopped by for dinner. This place is really tiny. The bottom level had some tables that were put together to make a large table and maybe 3 other tables. They asked if we wanted to sit upstairs and I said it was fine and up there there was about four tables. I was ready to give this place 5 stars, but I did take a star off first service. When we were sat and asked what we wanted to drink and I started with my drink first and then I ordered for my daughters, the waitress asked me again what I wanted and I was confused. I told her again and then she went on her way. When it came to ordering, I asked for the chicken wing appetizer, pork chow fun and a large #1 pho with two small bowls, so that we could share. After I ordered, she asked me what size pho I wanted. Our drinks arrived, but my 10-year-olds drink was a lot larger than the other drinks we had ordered, which we weren't expecting. The chicken wings came first. We ordered them mild and I will tell you, those were some of the best chicken wings I've ever had...the sauce is sweet, the wings are crisp, but still moist. Definitely will go back and try this in a medium level. The pork chow fun looked a little bit different than what I was used to, but it tasted pretty good. It came with cabbage, broccoli, cilantro and a few other vegetables. The pho came out and the broth smelled really good and I started adding my sauces, but then realize that we did not receive a plate with any of the vegetables. Being seated upstairs, it's really hard to get the attention of your server who is downstairs. When she finally came upstairs, I told her we did not receive any of the vegetables and she went down and brought us a plate that had 3 slices of jalapeno, a pile of bean sprouts and one lime for the 3 of us. No basil whatsoever. At that point I didn't want to ask for anything else, so I let it go. A different server came upstairs and told us to take our time and had placed the bill on the table and I asked for some to go containers, she brought it promptly and then the other server had come and asked if we needed boxes when the boxes and the bag were already sitting on the corner of the table. We will definitely go back in give it another go and hopefully the service is a little bit better because I would love to give this place a 5 star review.

I write this knowing you only have a couple weeks left to enjoy…read more The ramen here is incredible. You would be hard pressed to find better tasting food prepared by a more passionate person. Everything was fresh, everything was delicious, everything exceeded our expectations. This felt like a bay area experience right up the street. I never was interested in going there for years since it's been there but decided to try it tonight. Firstly, the ramen place holds maybe 40 at most and we had to wait a while before we were seated. They asked if we had a reservation but didn't think that it would be needed since it's not like a fancy restaurant and I don't know many ramen places that takes reservations. Since we didn't , we got seated on the bar which is fine. For it being in Modesto, they try to get the anime vibe with toys and anime art around. I'm no ramen expert but I've tried over a dozen ramen places in Tokyo, Vancouver, Japan town in LA, San Francisco, Oahu, Seattle just to name a few cities. So we got first the spicy garlic edamame. Not bad at all, had a kick to it and was edible. From a scale of 1 to 5. I'd give it a 5. For the main entree, I wanted the garlic tonkatsu but the waitress said they ran out.... Ok, for a Saturday night at 6 pm, running out of a ramen and they've been in business for several years now?!? never had that happen before in any ramen shop I've been to. So me and my wife both got the Ichiraku ramen which was a miso broth with pork belly. Price $23. I added 2 more pork belly at $5 more. Oh, the waitress mentioned no bamboo shoots and no fish cake........ ok, never had that happen before in a ramen shop. So while eating edamame, I kept track of how long it took we got our ramen.... It took 30 minutes before we got our ramen... definitely atypical to wait that long wait but I guess it's because they offer a lot of items besides ramen. Presentation was fine, the pork belly was seared on one side with a blow torch since I can taste that searing. . It just had green onions, 2 seaweeds and 2 soft boiled eggs which I was impressed the yolk wasn't overcooked. The noodles I chose was thin and was good with a soft texture. The miso broth was average Over all, it was an okay ramen. Me and my wife both didn't finish our bowls... definitely unusual since we love ramen but somehow, it didn't fulfill our satiety to finish and be content. I can tell you that of all the ramen places I've been to. This is average and doesn't compare to Ramen 101 in Modesto that I've ordered many times before my first time here. Sadly, I can only give it 3 stars because the ramen was average and not in the same league as other ramens I've had in other places and cities. And if me and my wife couldn't finish our ramen, that's a tell tale sign it was just okay. Plus, the place is called Konfucius Eats, doesn't have a Japanese name for a restaurant since "Confucius " is a Chinese Philosopher lol. In fact, I didn't see any Japanese or Asian cooks... just saying that's atypical to the other ramen establishments I've been to. For Modesto, it's aight. I just can't see myself going back here for a long time. Lastly, they are open Tuesday to Saturday only .
