One of the best brunch locations in the area. This place is going to get super busy once that nearby metro stop opens. If you have a choice between this location and the Reston location, make the trip and come here instead. Even the temporary menu that they have here with specials is different than the Reston location. All of the food has been amazing. The only thing you really need to know is that the wait staff is by committee, so everyone is your waiter. That is good since anyone can assist you. Don't waste your time with iHop or other nearby chains, come here instead. read more

Got breakfast here with my family! We went during the week in the morning so there weren't a lot of people. Weather was nice so we decided to sit outside. That kind of means the waitress won't be out to serve you as often but our waitress was actually really great! She talked to us about my dogs and my cousin's son at the table. Super sweet! Food was good! Big portions. My brother ordered a la carte and his food was good too. Bathroom is one stall per person so don't drink too much coffee! I got the veggie omelet -- their menu is set up kinda weird -- you not get three items. Not all the vegetables listed under the vegetable omelette section. But it's fine regardless! read more

Awesome food and staff. I eat there 4-5 days a week. The managers Patty and Emilie, are real people persons and are committed to a great customer experience. Last year, Emilie won the bartender of the year in Ashburn. The servers are always hustling to get your order while having a great time. This is a real kitchen with great culinary staff... no packaged food. read more

Have been coming here pretty often for breakfast over the past year - I've tried their Huevos Rancheros, the classic & the avocado Eggs Benedict, waffles, biscuits n gravy..food is always on point & service is super friendly & quick. Getting takeout during the shutdown was super easy - thank you! read more

This location is my go to place after Sunday morning Mass for an easy going brunch. Dawn by far is one of the best waitresses that I have seen. She remembers every single regular and ensures that we have the best experience every time. I truly enjoy the enclosed patio throughout the year. read more

Delicious food. No COVID protocols in place in the midst of the pandemic by staff and most guests. Would have given 5 stars if the staff at least wore masks. Will update rating after pandemic. read more

I visit this place (carry-out) at least once per week. Consistently good every time and predictable results unlike some restaurants that can be hit-or-miss. Estimated wait times are always accurate no matter how busy they are. Will continue to visit! read more

Ordered a bacon egg and cheese bagel through Door Dash. Not much to write home about. It wasn't bad. It was fresh, and big. Lots of egg and cheese. Bacon was nice and crispy. It was just lacking flavor. Even after I added my own salt and pepper. It's hard to put a finger on what it was missing. It was just pretty bland overall. I'd still give them another shot on a different menu item given the freshness and portion size. read more

Famous Toastery is our favorite breakfast spot. Their staff is incredibly nice and friendly. Food is great: we've tried nearly everything on the menu, from eggs and pancakes to scrapple and sandwiches, and were happy with all of them. Great neighborhood breakfast place. read more

Amazing Food and Service! I've been eating here since they opened. The servers are all so pleasant and attentive. The owner is always there, and she is the heart of the good service and happy employees. The food is amazing and the menu is unique. No matter how many times I've sat at my table to just keep chatting, long after done eating - I've never been given even a hint that it was time to move on - even when the restaurant was busy and I'm sure they could have used the table. That's the kind of warm atmosphere you just don't get at a big chain restaurant. read more

Received two orders to go with pancakes and no syrup. Like this is a basic necessity for pancakes if you don't want to choke to death. So disappointed that I can't even eat my food! So for this reason they get 1 star. I mean this is a breakfast place. Syrup should automatically go in bag on general principal. At least one of the bags. - So here I am at work starving with a dry pancake. ***edit*** After trying pancake cold it was actually delicious once I got some syrup to put on it. Plus the staff was extremely accommodating and nice so I'll be back for a fresh one and changing my review from 1 to 4 stars. Thanks Angela picked up my pancake this morning and it had 2 syrups! It was delicious ... read more

Our favorite local place for weekend brunch. Great family vibe, the food is great, and when they do make a mistake (don't we all?), no questions asked...they replace the meal with a smile. As for my 90 year old dad. I take him out one day a week. This his favorite place as well. By now the owner knows him and I appreciate the family atmosphere where we know the staff and the owners. She works hard at bringing us quality food, and we all appreciate this. Here is one thing i love about this place...when they bring you your meal, they also put the check on the table, so there is no extra wait time. read more

Went here for brunch this am! They were pretty damn busy but luckily didn't take to much time to get use a table. I felt kind of rushed ordering my food. The waitress asked about two times when I hadn't even viewed the menu yet I just ordered a drink. I didn't enjoy feeling pushed but that was the only setback for me. Besides that she did a good job. I ordered the shrimp & grits which I was fairly pleased with. I was really excited to try this place & I'll be visiting again. read more

Probably the best breakfast place I have been to outside of VA Beach in many years. There is always a wait on the weekends for breakfast, but truthfully, it is worth it. The portions are big (too big for the size of the tables actually- finding room on the table is always an issue), the service is always great and the food is delicious. Somehow, the eggs taste fresher or better here than any other breakfast place in the area, the pancakes are awesome and I love the biscuits and gravy. The bacon is outstanding too. My last visit, my family and I stopped in and were told it would be a thirty minute wait, so we went for about a five minute walk around Loudoun Station. We came back, waited about 30 minutes and then I asked if we would be called soon. The young lady said she called us a long time ago. We literally left the place for five minutes- and then came back and waited thirty, so they must have called us within five minutes of telling us it was a thirty minute wait. An easy fix is to just get those pagers that most restaurants use. I hate to wait so I don't go very often, but the food is outstanding. read more

My husband and I had been wanting to try this place for a while and finally found the time this morning. We went around 9am and it was pretty busy - not uncomfortably busy, but they had no open tables in the main dining area and only a few open in the back sunroom dining area where we were sat. It was not heated from what I could tell, we both left our coats on while we dined. It was not too cold to enjoy ourselves, though. They make bold claims but they are able to back them - they do have the best orange juice I've ever tasted and it is fresh squeezed. Their cornbread (only on Saturdays and Sundays) was quite good - it taste more like cornbread cake. The coffee was ok. My husband got the flapjack with some bacon, and I got the French toast combo with eggs and bacon. The syrup is brought out in a glass bottle and it heated - note to parents, I could see children finding the bottle too hot to touch so just be aware if they want to pour their own syrup. We both agreed the bacon was great - very meaty, cooked well, and they offer if you want it crispy or regular. My husband prefers his flapjacks more well done but it looked like it was cooked all the way, he just has certain preferences. He did find the flapjacks bland. He doesn't use syrup on his food, though. My French toast was fine. I liked that the pieces were smaller since I was also having eggs and bacon. The eggs were also fine. The sound track was amazing! We had a good time discussing and singing the songs. The service was pretty great - everyone is always helping so we had three different people helping us. read more

Eggs were awesome. But service was fair to below average. Asked for an item to be made a certain way. Waffle with walnuts and no powdered sugar. It came just the opposite with sugar and no nuts. Someone wasn't paying attention. Fruit cup was average. read more

Extensive variety for breakfast foods, with all the usual breakfast options plus some unusual additions. The Avacado Benny caught my eye and it was very good and filling, for anyone who loves avocados. They serve cornbread with applesauce before the entree comes; the cornbread is very light and crumbly. I asked for a side of bread ( hard to eat eggs w/o bread, which the server brought and didn't charge me for. The service was good, and all the servers were helpful. The lunch menu looks good too. Nice place. read more

We placed a catering order for 20 for (their busiest time) a Sunday at 10:30. The food was ready to go and warm. Patty was great from start to finish. Food was delicious and got many compliments! read more

So my family is new about 9 months to Ashburn. My husband and I have eaten here about 3-4 times. We have been ranting and raving about this place to the rest of the family however more so about the food and not the service. Service has always just been the expected okay service. So finally had the grandparents in for the weekend and decided today would be the best day for Famous Toastery. We were a party of 6(one of which was my father who is a Vietnam Vet-always wears his hat that he's very proud of). We were told 30 mins. Okay it was a beautiful day so waiting outside was perfectly fine. Once it got closer to 30 we moved inside to wait hoping we'd be called soon even with the busy crowds. We also assured my parents Trust Us, it's worth the wait! 30 minutes turned into 40 with excuses from the young male host that they've been waiting for a table big enough for 6. As we saw parties of 2 be constantly sat at 4 top tables that could have been held to push 2 tables together to fit our 6. You could tell the 2 hostesses were not confident and knowledgeable to know to do this. There was absolutely not a manager or some in charge in sight to assist with or even be interested in helping out or hearing our complaint. My husband went to use the restroom in the side room where he saw plenty of empty tables and only 1 big table of 10 that had just finished. That was very frustrating and still no apology or acknowledgment. At that point when we brought that up, they had no choice to seat us in there at a table. Once sat our server seemed annoyed but was slightly apologetic and attentive. Service was pretty spot on from there and food was good. And again no manager came by to check on us which is customer service 101 a must! So all in all this visit was TASTELESS! Will not be returning unfortunately. Gave 2 stars for our first visits. What a let down! read more

Disappointed to know that they don't offer any non-dairy milk for coffee. Nowadays that is standard in most popular places. The vegan options in the menu are non-existent either, so not very friendly to me. Also, I like bfast places to be comfortable and cozy. Their chairs are very uncomfortable and they have no cushion. read more

I came in just before noon with my aunt and sister. I ordered the avocado omelette, which I got two slices of sourdough toast and some potatoes with (+one orange slice). In all honesty, I had only expected the omelette initially, so when the waitress asked me about the sides, I was pleasantly surprised. The presentation of the food was mostly clean, and tasted delicious. Not the best I've ever had, but far from bad. Admittedly, I'm a tiny person, so the portions were way too large for me. But of course, that was easily solved with a takeout box. I'm all honesty, I feel that without the sides of potato and bread, I would've gotten tired of the omelette real fast-- the avocado was extremely filling and at one point I felt nauseous from overeating. read more

Bummer...I really wanted to like this place. Three big problems will keep me from coming back to this place. --First, the food was overpriced by about 20% for what we received. We were charged $55 for a meal that I think was worth $40...its hard to justify paying $2.50 for a tiny 4 oz. cup of apple juice. --Second, we waited almost 45 minutes for our breakfast (three omelettes and a pancake). --Lastly, the food was cold when it finally came out! The flavors on the omelettes were fine (despite the temperature). I will say that the pancake was excellent. When I complained about these things to the manager, he gave us another apple juice for my daughter and offered us a 10% discount card for our next visit but didn't offer to take any of the cold omelettes off the bill. No thanks...so I guess I'm supposed to overpay for cold food by only 10% next time? I'll pass, and I suggest you do, too. read more

I came here at least 2-3 times a month from when it first opened up. However, the slow but steady decline in customer service became too much to be worth the food. The food is actually very good, but more than half the time I ordered my omelette (the same one every time) it comes out wrong. The servers and management approach to this was ALL wrong with their lack of caring being the major concern. No one apologizes, they just say "oh ok" and take the plate away from the table with no follow-up or anything. One time when I brought up my concern of my omelette coming out wrong TWICE, the manager offered me a 10% discount. Forreal?? I have tried to still enjoy the food without having to deal with the service by ordering to-go a few times, but they can't even get that right. The hosts and servers seem nice enough but are quite clueless...almost as if they have had no training in customer service. It really is a shame that this is one of the very few breakfast places in ashburn with great food, but such terrible customer service. read more

My husband and I stumbled across this place when we were in the area for a friend's wedding. The menu is great, lots of options and they have gluten sensitive options too. When I learned about a Brunch restaurant opening in Ashburn, I was extremely excited. Who doesn't love a good brunch? And a restaurant dedicated to it? Must be heaven. Heaven, it was not. I've been here twice now and both times were severely subpar. I do appreciate the "every waiter is your waiter" concept as it makes it much easier and faster to get an order in or ask for more water, etc. The servers themselves have all been pretty good - nothing that really sticks out in my mind for the good or bad. On my first visit, I ordered the Mushroom Bacon Swiss omelette which came with toast and hash browns. The hash browns were soft and not how I like my hashbrowns cooked at all. I guess this is okay, since I could have asked for them to be cooked harder/longer. The omelette itself was just OK. Absolutely nothing special about it and could have used more seasoning. I can certainly make a better one at home - and a bigger one as well. I went again yesterday to give it another chance and ordered the Stuffed French Toast (asked for just peanut butter) combo with 1 egg and bacon. The stuffed french toast was decent. Of all the things I've had there, this is one that I would be okay eating again. The bacon was dry and overcooked and my 1 egg was literally two bites. I understand the menu specifically said one egg, but it was the smallest little bit. Overall, I don't see myself coming back here. There are so many restaurant options in the area which sets the bar pretty high as far as a satisfying meal is concerned. read more

We arrived around 12pm on Saturday afternoon. When we asked for a table for two, we were told the wait was about 45 min to an hour. The hostesses said that wait on the weekends are just about an hour. We ended up waiting a few minutes and getting a spot on the bar. Unfortunately, they do not take reservations and no call ahead either. When at the bar, it took a bit to get our order in. We did meet the owner (the husband of the couple) who was SO friendly. He told us his story of how the restaurant came about. There are 4 more opening in Loudoun county. He was interested in how we found out about the restaurant since we were first timers. Our waitress began to take our orders and answered every single last question that I had. We were informed that they specialize in rum-mosas and pancakes and french toast. Our food was excellent and so were the drinks. Once again, it took a bit to get our checked taken, but overall it was a great place to go. We will be back. read more

Went here last Sunday to check it out. I live in Ashburn, so I usually try to eat at new venues. This place is only open during the daytime and basically offers breakfast/brunch items as a version of comfort food. here's my hits and misses: Pros: 1) I had the shrimp and grits w chorizo sausage - really good! 2) Food comes out pretty quickly. 3) You can probably save money by sharing an entree with someone. Servings are way too big. 4) Did not have to wait for a table of 4 + toddler. Cons: 1) All the portions on the breakfast items are too huge - maybe they would save on food costs by trimming the portion sizes down 25%? just a thought... 2) even the kid's menu is a plate piled high with food enough fro 1.5 adults! 3) Fail that even a child's drink or milk is not included in the meal, and the milk comes out in a very tiny cup for $2.50 extra (every other place includes a drink for the cost of a kids entree). 4)Other minor fail is that their blueberry pancakes actually turns the whole pancake dark blue...never seen this before and not really liking it. read more

After coming here twice, I think we will have to be really desperate to come back. The first visit was great. Food came out quick and actually hot, and the service was actually efficient with the "everyone serves all" concept. The amount of people within the restaurant was exactly the same as the second visit, so I'm not sure what happened. For the second visit, we arrived to find a 15 minute wait, as expected. It ended up being more like 5-10 minutes which I think everyone could say is a good thing. While trying to figure out what to order, we were approached by one server a few times who then brought us our drinks. After getting our drinks, the service kind of disappeared for at least 5 minutes to even put in our order. Finally someone else came by and took our order. At least 20 minutes passed by when the food arrived. My husbands came out warm, while mine, including pancakes, an egg, and bacon was all luke warm at best. As others have stated, when they say 1 egg, they really mean one egg that can be eaten in 3 bites. The bacon had good flavor, however, the pancakes were probably some of the worst I've ever had. Not sure if it was an off day, but they definitely weren't light and fluffy as others have described. No server came by after receiving our food until we were done. It seemed like more of a cluster when trying to flag someone down as they were all going every which way. I think for the server concept to work, each table (or group of tables) needs to have a base server so you know at least one person to get, then everyone else can step in for clearing, checks, etc. Take a note from Great American restaurants, clearly they have the concept down. read more
