Friendly service . Average food , unfortunately. Parking in front of restaurant. For some reason, no one was in the restaurant while we were there. I have a feeling they do more business for lunch when they have a buffet. Lots of vegetarian options including a vegetarian and vegan menu, which is a real plus.

Surprise, Surprise, Surprise! A wonderful new Indian/Nepalese restaurant has opened in Perry Hall. It's called Family Kitchen right next to Mission BBQ. They have a simply appointed main Dining Room and, they have a sizable Banquet Room for catering. I visited during lunch time and decided to try the buffet. It costs $15.99 and had the usual dishes to offer. It being an Indian buffet in Perry Hall, USA, I found it sort of bland. Probably to avoid offending our perceived bland American pallets. I tried each dish offered on the buffet and, though beautiful and colorful, nothing really surprised me with an explosion of flavor. I think I need to take my Nepalese neighbor out to dinner and have him educate me about the food and culture. After all, learning about other cultures is more than half the fun of dining out I recommend Family Kitchen and I truly wish them success here in Perry Hall. Hopefully, once I learn how and what to order, I'll become a regular diner and good friend. I'm offering 4 stars for now and I'll be back to try again.

This place is a gem! They have a very fresh and popular lunch buffet for $17! It has a good portion of the menu available including butter chicken, tikka masala , vindaloo, samosas, naan, biryani, the sweet little ball desserts (I forgot the name) and even mango lassi. I ordered dine in from the menu this time and it did not disappoint! The dish was hot and well portioned enough to take home leftovers! I ordered lamb vindaloo and they did not skimp on the lamb! There were potatoes but modestly in comparison to the meat. The menu is expansive and they do have an entire section of vegetarian options. Not only is the food delicious, but the service is always warm, inviting, and prompt. Also the food isn't overly greasy or salty. If you're ever this far north into Baltimore county, Family Kitchen is worth a stop! Their consistency when it comes to cuisine and service is a standout. The bathrooms are also clean. This local restaurant is one-of-a-kind.

Delicious! Come check this place out! Didn't realize this place was here, it's tucked away in the corner near Weis and mission bbq. Glad we found it though! Inside they have lots of seating and overall the place was very clean and inviting. The service is wonderful and the staff is friendly. There's plenty of free parking out front. The menu is pretty extensive, it was difficult to choose what we wanted to eat so we ordered a lot of items. My go to dish is always a tikka masala for any new place that offers it, this one was definitely in the top 10 of places I've tried with tikka masala. The food was all freshly made and flavorful, we can't wait to be on this side of town again to try out more items!

Im not a buffet kind of person but I have taken part in this buffet previously when the doors open as I can see patrons visiting such. This has been my favorite AUTHENTIC HALAL Indian restaurant. Unfortunate for me its across town and with traffic could be almost 2 hour travel round trip. I ordered the tandoori chicken (mild) with spinach and an order of the vegetable samosas. While waiting I spoke about the items on the buffet menu to someone I was speaking with and to my surprise I was given a bowl of curry chickpea (I enjoyed in the past). The service and attentiveness has always been great. Today was no different. During my wait for my order to be prepared I was offered a beverage and my selection was cold water. My order came out within reasonable time and hot. The vegetable samosas did not stand a chance once I got into the car. They were with thw right crisp, authentic spices and mix of tasty potatoes and peas dipped into the "green" sauce. I then indulged in the curry chickpeas and as one could imagine they didnt stand a chance beyond the car. Most delish. Once I got home, my tandoori chicken after travelling in the mad ttaffic across town; food was still hot. The portion size is always enough for 2 meals for me. I plated my meal on to anotger plate and enjoyed every bite of the authentic dish with juicy tender grilled chicken and fresh sliced cucumbers, onions and carrots. Over rice. Prices, like everywhere else, has taken a hike. I use to pay $16-$18 for the tandoori meal and its $22 now. The samosas use to be $5 and I think they are $7. I knew in the past the lamb meal took a drastic jump increase in price and that strayed me from purchasing but the portions of would can be justified for some of the cost. I dont remember a bad experiece here. I definitely will continue visiting this establishment for my Indian cuisine fix.

TLDR No more lunch buffet, but the food absolutely delivers. Great curries, excellent biryani,…read morefriendly service, and fair prices. Our group of six went to Hyderabad Stories in Cockeysville planning to dive into their lunch buffet, only to find out they no longer offer it. Since we were already there and hungry, we decided to stick around and order from the regular menu and honestly, it worked out just fine. The space used to be San Sushi before the owner retired, and the interior layout is pretty much the same. It is simple and perfectly serviceable for small to medium groups. When we visited, we were actually the only occupied table, which made for a quiet and relaxed lunch. Since there was no official buffet, we decided to make our own by ordering a half dozen dishes to share. We went with a variety of curries, multiple biryanis, butter chicken, samosas, and plenty of naan for the table. Everything came out at a great pace and the service was very friendly and efficient throughout. The curries were the highlight for me. Some were dialed up with extra heat for the spice lovers at the table, while others were milder, but all of them were packed with flavor and tasted fresh. The biryanis were also excellent, with generous portions of both lamb and chicken. No skimping on the protein here. Pricing was reasonable, and when we split the bill it came out to about what each of us would typically spend at an Indian lunch buffet anyway. Overall, even without the buffet option, Hyderabad Stories is a great Indian food choice in the area and definitely worth checking out if you are craving flavorful curries and solid biryani.

The ambience is nice and it's a very friendly environment but the problem I have is it's too expensive and not satisfying enough. When A restaurant limits a feature that they used to have every day and then informs me to either go on their website or that they will notify people on a mailing when there is a Buffet event, i'd rather just go to another restaurant that still offers this. Bombay nights had the balls to raise their price to $20.13. Yeah, I could go to Café spice over in a richer part of town named Cockeysville where everybody drives like arrogant kids, get the same, if not better quality than all three of the Indian restaurants closer to me for under $15. Food used to be great, but there have been some days where the chicken was not up to par and I would much rather feel less burned, knowing I got a Buffet with other options. They used the pandemic as a BS excuse to get rid of it and they haven't brought it back the way they should have. I don't want to guess what day the staff chooses to bring back the buffet they should've never gotten rid of. I don't care that much to dedicate to a mailing list or check a website. Advertise it at your damn restaurant, and make it more than just one Saturday or random day. You chose in a month where the demand is going to be stupid high, and I have to fight for food between all the clumpy families that come out from under the rock whenever it's available.

The server suggested that my husband and I try the buffet so we could taste everything, and that we order from the menu next time I visit. I'm so happy she suggested that. The menu itself was big and it had so many things to chose from . Now lets talk about this lunch buffet, but before I do that, let me share that, I shared with the server that I didn't want to go look at the buffet options because I didn't want to look at the food and others get the wrong idea, so she took the liberty of walking me to the buffet and showing me each item, detailing what it was and the flavor it encompassed, I can't express how much I appreciate her doing that. The buffet menu had so many great options, including chicken masala, curry goat, and so much more. The curry goat was my favorite, the meat was so tender and the flavors were infused perfectly. The rice, the noodles and every single item that I tasted, was absolutely delicious! The service was awesome, our server was attentive, courteous and very pleasant. I visited on a Saturday afternoon for their lunch buffet which runs from 11am to 3pm and left beyond satisfied. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated and conveniently located in a shopping plaza, making it easy to access with plenty of parking. Even though the buffet was decently packed when we arrived around noon, we were seated immediately. The buffet spread is impressively expansive, with 15 plus dishes available at any given time. Everything is refreshed frequently, so the food is always hot and inviting. It is the kind of buffet where you can actually sample everything in one visit without feeling rushed or disappointed by empty trays. Highlights for me included the fish curry, goat curry, biryani chicken, and the tikka style mushrooms, which were addictive. The spice level across the board leans mild to medium, making it approachable for all palates and appropriate for all ages, while still delivering plenty of flavor. It strikes a perfect balance between authenticity and accessibility. Service was also excellent.
