Friendly service . Average food , unfortunately. Parking in front of restaurant. For some reason, no one was in the restaurant while we were there. I have a feeling they do more business for lunch when they have a buffet. Lots of vegetarian options including a vegetarian and vegan menu, which is a real plus.

Surprise, Surprise, Surprise! A wonderful new Indian/Nepalese restaurant has opened in Perry Hall. It's called Family Kitchen right next to Mission BBQ. They have a simply appointed main Dining Room and, they have a sizable Banquet Room for catering. I visited during lunch time and decided to try the buffet. It costs $15.99 and had the usual dishes to offer. It being an Indian buffet in Perry Hall, USA, I found it sort of bland. Probably to avoid offending our perceived bland American pallets. I tried each dish offered on the buffet and, though beautiful and colorful, nothing really surprised me with an explosion of flavor. I think I need to take my Nepalese neighbor out to dinner and have him educate me about the food and culture. After all, learning about other cultures is more than half the fun of dining out I recommend Family Kitchen and I truly wish them success here in Perry Hall. Hopefully, once I learn how and what to order, I'll become a regular diner and good friend. I'm offering 4 stars for now and I'll be back to try again.

This place is a gem! They have a very fresh and popular lunch buffet for $17! It has a good portion of the menu available including butter chicken, tikka masala , vindaloo, samosas, naan, biryani, the sweet little ball desserts (I forgot the name) and even mango lassi. I ordered dine in from the menu this time and it did not disappoint! The dish was hot and well portioned enough to take home leftovers! I ordered lamb vindaloo and they did not skimp on the lamb! There were potatoes but modestly in comparison to the meat. The menu is expansive and they do have an entire section of vegetarian options. Not only is the food delicious, but the service is always warm, inviting, and prompt. Also the food isn't overly greasy or salty. If you're ever this far north into Baltimore county, Family Kitchen is worth a stop! Their consistency when it comes to cuisine and service is a standout. The bathrooms are also clean. This local restaurant is one-of-a-kind.

Delicious! Come check this place out! Didn't realize this place was here, it's tucked away in the corner near Weis and mission bbq. Glad we found it though! Inside they have lots of seating and overall the place was very clean and inviting. The service is wonderful and the staff is friendly. There's plenty of free parking out front. The menu is pretty extensive, it was difficult to choose what we wanted to eat so we ordered a lot of items. My go to dish is always a tikka masala for any new place that offers it, this one was definitely in the top 10 of places I've tried with tikka masala. The food was all freshly made and flavorful, we can't wait to be on this side of town again to try out more items!

Excellent food with a 1-10 spice option for all entrees. Huge entree portions and excellent mango lassi.

This is an intimate BYOB spot, and it was completely packed when we arrived. The atmosphere feels cozy and authentic -- the kind of place where you know care goes into both the food and the hospitality. We ordered the chickpeas, cauliflower, and a mango lassi. One thing we really appreciated: they asked us what spice level we preferred. My wife doesn't like spicy food, and they thoughtfully prepared everything mild for us without sacrificing flavor. The chickpeas were outstanding -- rich, well-seasoned, and deeply satisfying. The cauliflower wasn't quite to my personal taste, but it was well prepared. And the mango lassi? Absolutely amazing -- creamy, refreshing, and the perfect complement to the meal. Portions were generous, and the service was prompt and genuinely excellent throughout the evening. If you're in Lancaster and enjoy flavorful Himalayan and Indian cuisine in a cozy BYOB setting, this place is definitely worth a visit -- just plan ahead and make that reservation.

I never had the chicken sagg and ordered that because it has spinach. The worker said you can request the spice level up to 10 and I got a 5. The chicken saag did not have much flavor but the dumplings were perfectly flavored. I'd come back to try other dishes. There's ample parking.

The menu has Indian and Nepalese dishes, we stayed more towards the Indian side. The breads (Pappadam, Puri, and Garlic Naan) were out of this world good, and flavored just right. The Samosas were hot and spicy, but full of delicious flavors. The Lamb Biryani was top notch. All of the flavor. It was a flavor party going on for sure. I asked for spice level 4 (out of 10), and it cleared my sinuses and made my mouth water for more. Sodas are served in cans with a glass. The server seemed glad to have us there, and ensured that not only did we get what we wanted, but also made sure we understood what we were asking for. Dishes came out in perfect time, not overlapping, not a big gap between courses. The only down side is the shopping center parking lot. You have to be VERY aware so as to not get run over.

We opted for take out, as the dining area is limited by space, and seating comfort is minimal. You may want to take this into consideration if you have a large party, or number of guests. With that said, the staff is friendly and helpful to us. The menu selection seems limited on types of curry available. It seems they only offer 3-4 types of curries. However, the portions were generous, and the dishes were flavorful. Interesting that the Tikki Masala was prepared in a way that was new to us. The pricing was comparable to others in the region. Overall, it is a good option for take out, or trying out Indian cuisine in the MOT area.

They tried to tone down some of the dishes as the hubster is a non-spicy person. The stuff still spicy , he stayed away from. We ordered a meal set for two to try a little bit of everything. We aren't experts in this type of cuisine, but there wasn't anything we didn't like. With the meal for 2 plus a side order of naan, we ended up making 2 lunch take out plates for us. I really like the pickled radishes (mula ko archar)! It's a unique flavor that tasted like curry. And the gulab jamun (the round donut) was the perfect touch! I definitely recommend this place!
