Vegetable Momo

There aren't a lot of Nepalese restaurants in Maryland so happy there is one close to me. I haven't been here in so long so after church I stopped by to get some takeout. I am happy to see people dining in. I order the Mulligatawny (lentil)soup and vegetable momos before and enjoyed it. The staff is friendly and the ambiance is casual with some Nepalese decorations. The mulligatawny soup is perfect for a cold day. It's not too spicy but there is a kick at the back side. The momos were perfect as well. I really enjoy the sauce that it comes with it. The prices are reasonable and there is lunch special. Will definitely come back as I like to support small businesses.

Dropped by just to grab some tea time snacks - we got their veggie samosa and chicken momos. Boy - they did not disappoint! We took them home and had them with home made chai which was the perfect combination. The samosas were fat and juicy, but crispy on the outside. Not greasy at all. The momos were done really well. Both dishes have a mild kick to them which I love. I would definitely get these dishes again. Staff were really polite. The space is open, clean, and set up well.

Nepalese restaurants aren't super common in the area so this place hit the spot. Particularly enjoyed the saucy lamb C. momos and the tandoori lamb dish. Food came out quickly and ambiance was casual. Friendly service.

I recently went here for a weekend lunch with a friend and enjoyed the experience. We were seated immediately, our food came out in a timely manner, the prices were reasonable, the portion sizes were hearty, and my food was good. I got the lamb vindaloo lunch combo extra spicy and was not disappointed. There was a lot of lamb, good spice and flavor, plenty of rice, and delicious, butter naan. I did try my friend's dal, and that had spice but needed more flavor. The naan was so good we actually got another order for our meal. Himalayan House is a 20 minute walk or a short drive away from Fort McHenry, and I would recommend for lunch or dinner if you are in the area!

Tandoori naan-$3.99, lamb Saag-$20.99, chicken Tandoori Sekuwa-$20.99, veggies Pakoras-$6.99, plain Biryani-free.

Our party of three wanted to try dine in Nepalese food. We picked Himalayan due to good reviews. Unfortunately, the night was cold and rainy. Also, there was no private parking lot, street parking only. So we decided to do take-out instead. We ordered online and the foods were ready when I walked in. We ordered chicken Tandoori sekuwa from the Nepalese menu. From the Indian menu. We went with lamb saag, buttered naan, and veggie pakoras. Two free containers of rice came with our entres. Both proteins were tasty, moist, and tender. The seasoning of the saag was so good. It made the saag so addictive. Both entres were full of meats. The flavorful veggie pakoras were crunchy but not oily. The naan was just ok. We really enjoyed our dinner from Himalayan.

The ongoing pandemic has definitely taken a toll on a lot of businesses and public places since a consumer's mindset to buy anything outside of essentials or to visit a public place like a park or beach, has crippled down significantly. Now by living with what has become the new normal, it is commendable on how these businesses and public places continue to remain open and cater to the general public by following the safety standards. It is now all the more important that we as customers, support these heroes during these dark hours to mankind. We were visiting our friends in Maryland for the weekend and had a sudden rush for Momo tasting. Our local friends were quick to suggest this place for the best Momos in town. It was a good 30 minute drive, so we placed our order ahead of time over phone and started off. The place wasn't too busy so finding a street side parking wasn't a big a deal. The place looked modest from outside and as we entered, we were welcomed by a gentleman(probably the owner) who was at the counter. The place has a rustic feel to it with some retro pics hung on the wall along with money plant growing around. Guess he is somebody who takes social distancing very seriously. He was almost a 50 feet away from us and was barricaded by a wall of table and our pickup bag was ready on it for take off. The order was paid for, so no waiting or stalling for the payments. We requested a chopped onion and before we knew it, we were on our way back home. The food was amazingly well made. We ordered veg momos (came with authentic ginger chutney/sauce), dhal makkani, paneer tikka masala, mango lassi and aloo paratha. The spice was on the mark and the food was on the money. The only sour point was finding the mango lassi being spilt a bit on the cover, but I give the benefit of doubt to our mishandling of the bag as everything else was packed perfectly to the T. If you are near Baltimore, do give this place your love.

Excellent food, was ready very quickly. The decor has definitely been upgraded, but inside was very warm when I went.

Vegetable Samosa: crispy and soft inside with chutney sauce. Excellent!

This restaurant is such a beautiful family owned spot in Locust Point, Baltimore. Charm, good food, and deserves a try!

We randomly passed this place on our way out from the Fort McHenry national park. We were hungry so we decided to stop by. So glad we did because it was literally one of the best food I've ever eaten! Highly recommend! Check this place out!

It's a more romantic place, cozy but not setup to feel overcrowded. A great spot for a date Service is very friendly, with recommendations if asked and staff who care about your experience. A nice change from chains and carry out restaurants. Food is on point. We had chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, bhindi masala and garlic naan. Very good seasoning overall and the tikka masala had the right amount cream. Flavors were well developed and savory. Quantities of protein were good yet still plenty of sauce for naan dipping. Spice levels were a little mild compared to many Indian restaurants I have tried so I would recommend ordering one spice level up. The restaurant offers alcoholic drinks and has a decent wine selection. Prices are very competitive. We were very happy with our meal and overall experience. I would definitely recommend Tandav to you with high marks across the board. Cheers!

However, looks can be deceiving. We were seated in a small but clean dining area just beyond the bar. Surprisingly, the four of us had the entire restaurant to ourselves, which made for a relaxed and comfortable dining experience. The wait staff was friendly, attentive, and very helpful in answering our questions about the menu. We started with two appetizers--the fried tofu and vegetable rolls--which arrived quickly and were absolutely delicious. As someone who loves spicy food, I can confidently say this Thai restaurant did not disappoint. For our entrées, I ordered the Pad Kaprow with chicken, my daughter chose the Khao Soi, my son had the Pad Thai with shrimp, and my husband enjoyed the Massaman Beef Curry. Every dish was flavorful, beautifully prepared, and packed with authentic taste. We were genuinely blown away by both the quality of the cuisine and the exceptional service. To complement my meal, I ordered the Soulless Mule, which perfectly enhanced the bold, spicy flavors of my dish. This restaurant exceeded our expectations in every way. We will definitely be returning soon.

Luckily, we tracked down our waitress for a second round and it took 20 minutes. Worst part was that it was my sister's birthday. While our server Angel comp'ed a second glass of wine for her, it was 2 hours and 15 minutes before we were able to ask for the check and were ready to go so their normal birthday dessert was no longer an option.
